I have tried various fitness classes, gym memberships, and at-home routines, and Orange Theory has been the best fit for me by far. I really like the mix of strength training and cardio, and being able to adjust the intensity based on the heart rate monitor as well as by feel. I like not having to plan and think about which exercises to do, like with a gym, and I like that they have a lot of variety. Also, as a migraine sufferer, I liked that I was able to slowly build my strength back up without triggering too many migraines in the process. The coaches are great, making sure you don't get hurt, offering corrections sometimes, and looking out for me when first starting out.

I started working out at OTF in Wellesley a bit over a month ago and I’m loving it!
Nicole and Jess are awesome coaches; they will motivate you and encourage you every day, so showing up for a 5 AM class is actually fun.
They are continently located on Central St with plenty of off street parking.

I’ve been going to Orangetheory Wellesley for years and it’s still the one workout that keeps me coming back. The mix of cardio and strength is spot-on, and I love that you can pick different class styles: 2G, 3G, strength-only, treadmill-only, depending on what you’re in the mood for that week. Since joining I’ve definitely gotten stronger and fitter.

The vibe is very welcoming too. People of all ages work out here and everything can be adjusted to your own level. Wearing the heart-rate monitor is a game changer, you can actually see your effort and know when to push or back off.

I’ve tried plenty of other studios but Orangetheory is still my favorite. The workouts are easy to follow, the screens show you what’s next, and the coaches are awesome, fun, high energy and really supportive.

The coaches are the best! They motivate you just the right amount and brighten any workout. Love the combination of strength and cardio, especially as I'm getting older. If you are not self-motivated, this is a great place to get motivated during a workout and finish in an hour.

Great gym (great community and the workout is solid - exactly what I needed as a busy person with only 1 hour to workout!).

BUT terrible and unethical business practices when it comes to billing/cancellation. I was a former member and due to a medical issue had to cancel my membership. I notified then within the 30 day required window, and followed the process the representative asked me to follow. Before ending the conversation with the rep, I asked the representative if I needed to do anything else and the representative said NO - you are all set. The representative also confirmed I would not be billed again.

After I canceled it, I received an inappropriate amount of messages/calls from Orangetheory asking me to NOT cancel, and instead they could make special arrangements for me due to my medical condition.

The excessive number of calls/texts truly felt like harassment and an invasion of my privacy. I did return one of the harassment calls, and reiterated to an Orangetheory representative that I stood firm on my original decision AND asked them to confirm my account was cancelled and to confirm the my account would not be billed again. The representative confirmed AGAIN that my account was cancelled and that I would not be billed again.

Fast forward a month later, I get an email saying they are going to charge me again and that I did NOT cancel my membership. They said that since I did not return the multiple harassment calls/texts, they had not cancelled my membership. The thing is I did return one of the harassment calls and reiterated that stood firm on my original decision to cancel.

Classic gym unethical business practices….blame the consumer and keep billing even after two members of the staff confirmed the account was cancelled and I would not be billed again. Reminiscent of the bankrupt Boston Sports Club’s unethical business practices….smh.

This studio in Wellesley is the best!! What makes this gym work for me is that they are a community and really help me achieve my goals! I never have to worry about losing motivation with a self-made workout: they’ve got me covered with a great workout and fun music! πŸ’ͺ🏻 Whether you are a new or long-time member, we are all part of the OTF family! Such a supportive staff, and the workout always makes me feel so good afterwards. Definitely the best experience I have had in a gym environment. (Also shoutout to the studio manager, Kat: she is the best)!

Orange theory Fitness (Wellesley) has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that makes me feel instantly comfortable. The staff and coaches are supportive and helpful. The workouts are challenging, but you manage at your own pace, gradually building your strength and endurance, always with the coaches cheering you on! The studio and equipment is immaculate - OT staff goes to great lengths to make sure everything is sanitized and safe.
I am so happy that I joined OTF and highly recommend the whole workout experience it provides.

I love my new gym at Orange Theory. Considering the impact of the pandemic, they have taken extreme caution to make sure that you can still do your exercises and stay safe.
They take your temperature prior to entry, ask questions about your help, limit the space to achieve distance and they make sure that you clean up after each workout and disinfect after each class.
The workouts are very challenging and getting to the Orange Zone (84%) or more is achievable, but hard to do. The motivation level from the coaches is amazing and they change routines every month, sometimes bi-weekly
Thanks for an amazing workout!

Worst customer service experience ever. Signed up for my first free class (coordinated with my partner who is along time member. They cancelled me literally 30 min before the class saying it was full (despite me having a confirmation email) but Emily was willing to reschedule me sometimes later this week lol. since I was already in Wellesley I went to the place and showed her the confirmed spot for the class I signed up for. I told her I specifically stayed home for this class on this pre Christmas weekend, and had my girlfriend underway to do my first class together. She told β€œit must have been a website glitch” lol and sent me along.

Orange therapy Wellesley, or any branch, will never see me again. Wishing them and especially Emily all the best with their future customer service endeavors.

I was referred by one of good friends of mine so I scheduled for a free class at 12 pm to work out with my friend. The website said I have to arrive 30 minutes before for orientation (didnt mention if im late, i wont be able to take the class). I arrived exactly 4 minutes late (arrived 11:34) and the front desk lady was very firm and said I cant take the class today because im late for the orientation. Really? Just 4 minutes. She said they have to go over my heartbeat machine whatever, really? Sending away the potential customer due to 4 minutes late, I never heard about it. I've experienced many other fitness and never had this kind of experience.
Its just a fitness center. Lack of customer service and flexibility.

Let me start by saying I am a big fan of Orange Theory. I have been frequenting various studios and this studio has failed to meet my expectations. Recently had an issue where I forgot my "indoor sneakers" before a 5am class and was told that for my safety I couldn't wear a pair of shoes that were at the bottom of the lost and found bin which I was told would be donated to goodwill the day before. I didn't realize it wasn't safe to wear shoes your size and that I might offend the person who abandoned their shoes at the gym. When I pleaded to the coach I was very rudely shot down and it was told against their studio policy. Not only did this same situation happen to me 6 months ago at a neighboring studio, but that studio offered me the solution of a spare pair of shoes that belonged to the coach. I love the workout but the strict policy and unwillingness to help a member get a workout in at 5am under less than ideal circumstances left a lot to be desired. Do not expect a high level of customer service and any flexibility at this studio.

Well, for one - when I was attending a traditional gym, I wasn't good at keeping track: What Do I Need To Work Today? Should I do legs.. Should I be doing arms.. With OTF, I love that I don't have to think about that. You show up and it's just: Here's what you're doing today, stupid.
Now, take a tread card, and run hard, while listening to terrible music. :D
