I booked a dance class on ClassPass and after work I carried a bunch of stuff and spent an hour and a half getting there. When the class was supposed to start, no instructor showed up and the door is closed. I had to reach out to ClassPass customer service myself just to get a credit refund and avoid a cancellation fee. This was really disappointing. It was a complete waste of my time and energy. From start to finish, the studio gave no explanation and no notice at all. They require customers to cancel at least 12 hours in advance or face a penalty, yet they themselves just didn’t show up. I will never come here again and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

My first day was very good and promising, so I booked a second class. They cancelled my second class last minute and with no explanation and no reschedule…I would have appreciated some commitment from their side as the customers have to cancel our class at least 12 hours before or they would charge us, they should do the same.

I can’t say enough good things about P+E Wellness! Coach P and Coach Emily are incredible—they truly know how to design programming that delivers results.

Two years ago, I had to stop running due to an IT band injury caused by muscle imbalances. One side was weak, the other too strong, and the resulting IT band injury caused me to stop running altogether. After training here for just 3-4 months, I’ve noticed a huge difference—my supporting muscles are stronger and more balanced, and I feel better than ever. In fact, the improvement has been so great I signed up for a half marathon later this year!

Beyond the smart and effective programming, the community at P+E Wellness is amazing. There’s no need to feel self-conscious—everyone is supportive, welcoming, and encouraging. It’s a place where mobility and function aren’t an afterthought but a key part of training. I always feel safe, challenged, and motivated, and the progress I’ve made in both strength and overall fitness speaks for itself. The classes are also on the smaller side so you really get personal attention and training.

If you’re looking for a holistic approach to fitness that prioritizes both performance and injury prevention, this is the place to be. Highly recommend!

It isn't often that you find studios that offer classes that include foam and ball rolling to release tight muscles,so I was thrilled to find P+E Wellness. Coach P is awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable, patient and attentive!

Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for community in a space that focused on wellness rather than just fitness. I started training here during the pandemic and found a great community that made me feel empowered. It has been a pleasure working with the instructors, who are not only focused on helping you achieve those fitness goals but achieving them in a way that is sustainable. Focusing on moving well, rather than just moving. Their training methods have given me a better understanding of my own body and how it works. The empowerment I feel being able to do exercises that I couldn’t do before is truly special.

P+E Wellness is my happy place. I love joking around with Coach P and laughing with my fellow attendees. This is the place for you if you want a sense of community, empowerment, and plenty of challenges. And no gym bros allowed!

P+E Wellness has become my happy place. It is a stroke of luck for East Cambridge and Ward 2 Somerville. Exercise is not my thing. at. all. In the last several years I was diagnosed with an autonomic disorder (POTS) and a connective tissue disorder (hEDS). Prior to that, I just figured it was a character flaw that kept me sedentary and exercise avoidant. I'm easily winded, get woozy, and anything anywhere can hurt any day. P+E is the inclusive and supportive place it promises to be. They trust me to know my limitations and help me find what is doable and sustainable. Pisth helps us rally. I feel stronger and more capable and motivated to continue. Truly glad they are here to help me MoveWell;)

Been training with them for years now and I'm stoked that they finally have their own space to train.
I'm an (almost) reformed couch potato and the path to being able to rock-climb and to have a general better life for my body has only been possible thanks to the training I've been doing with them.

Build a Back is a total must for any climber, Move Well will teach your body how to execute those moves you thought you were doing right (but you really weren't) and make you stronger while doing it!
Hips don't lie teaches you how to self-massage using a foam roll and/or tennis ball and has helped tremendously with my headaches (coming from stiff neck/poor posture after hours of computer work) but also general aching muscles, it's not pleasant while doing it, but your body will thank you for it.

The space has an amazing vibe, clean, colorful, amazing lights and top of the line ventilation system!
The best part are the owner's commitment to build a diverse and inclusive community in their gym and that's huge in a sector that hasn't been known to be inclusive.
100% recommended

I've worked with P&E Wellness for years before they located to their new space, and they have been awesome to work with. The classes have definitely pushed me past my limits of what I could do without a trainer. As a rock climber, the workouts are so well crafted to target all the muscle groups that help you become stronger and more able, so when returning to climbing last year, I still felt like I had my strength in tact. The instructors have a deep knowledge of anatomy & physiology, demonstrated in their approach to workouts by what to stretch out, attack, and work on when. And they put a significant emphasis on recovery and restoration, allowing me to keep up my workouts consistently. Heavily recommend to all athletes looking to build on their strength or get to pullup number 1

What's not to love about P&E Wellness? During the pandemic, all gyms shut down, and to our great demise, so many small local-owned fitness studios never came back. Something like 25% of all gyms closed for good, and then there's the mega-gyms buying up the rest of the little guys.

So it's a great pleasure of ours to join and support P&E Wellness, a fitness and wellness studio built from the ground up to be holistic, class-driven, and fully welcoming to any and all who just want to improve their lives and be healthy.

It's not a gym for rocking fat dumbbell curls and grunting it out on the bench -- it's a gym for making connections, expressing yourself, and becoming closer to your own body.

We do the build-a-back class every week and when we're done, lying sweaty on the floor unable to lift our arms, we celebrate the pain together and it feels like a family. That's what I want in a gym, and that's what P&E Wellness brings to the table.

I've been working out with P+E for about a year now, and I'm thrilled that they've opened up their new studio in Somerville. I hike and climb, and their classes have been the perfect balance to stay motivated, in shape, and injury free for my weekend adventures. Piseth and Emily have built an amazing, supportive community that makes heading to the gym something I look forward to every time!

This is the first gym that I've joined, where I feel like I'm working out with other people, instead of just next to other people. I am just as excited to celebrate another member's PR as I am to achieve my own. Piseth and Emily, of P+E Wellness, provide a welcoming environment that has fostered a unique community.

As someone who doesn’t love exercising at a gym but loves to hike, climb, bike and spend time in nature, I’ve struggled my whole adult life to figure out how I can feel excited about exercising regularly so I can stay in shape for the activities I love. I’ve found it at P+E!

With the help of Coach P, I already find myself building my weaker muscles to protect me from pain and injury and overall learning more about my body. The classes are challenging but don’t feel competitive and intense. I don’t feel like I have anything to “prove”. (I had done crossfit in the past and while I liked the workouts, I found the overall vibe too intense.) Folks at P+E are kind, welcoming, funny, and encouraging.

If you aren’t ready to commit to a membership just check out a class (and bring a friend!)

I can’t say enough good things about P+E Wellness. I’ve been training with Piseth for over a year, both virtually and in person. I love the movewell and build a back classes for body-informed strength training - a helpful and necessary complement to my hiking and yoga! Bottom line: this inclusive studio cultivates incredible community and the small group training style allows Piseth to get to know everyone and push people to achieve even more than they think they can in the studio.

Left my move well class in a good mood. The coaches encourage people to introduce themselves to the class which is really nice and helps everyone encourage each other to push through. The space is very clean and there are disco lights!

I can't recommend this gym enough - seriously. This is the first gym/studio that I've felt a sense of community and personalized support. I have balance issues and felt that my class instructor was able to provide me guidance as well as safely support my ability to participate and challenge myself. To be candid, I find most group fitness classes intimidating and fast paced. I think the Move Well full body workout class is challenging but accessible and the Hips Don't Lie class to be is an informative and restorative chance to work with a foam roller. The co-owner and instructor Piseth has an upbeat and engaging energy that make classes enjoyable and it's easy to see that the team they've built out is a strong one.

If anyone is intimidated by the membership commitment then I suggest taking a drop in class.

I’ve been training with P+E for a few years now, long before they moved into their shiny new space here. Their small group classes are a perfect fit for me. It creates a community of peers to train with, and you get enough coaching attention to make the best out of each training session. Their amazing drive and motivational skills kept me coming back over the years. It just never gets boring, their programming adjusts and is always customized to the group.
I enjoy being outdoors, mostly climbing and snowboarding in winter, and since I started working out with P+E I feel stronger, have less issues in my joints, can stay out longer and, most importantly, get less hurt when I take a tumble.
