Cons:
1. No free barbells, only smith machines
2. EZ bars don't go past 70, dumbbells don't go past 75
2. For a gym equipped with a "lunk" alarm there sure is a lot of lunking. Most gym goers are very polite and courteous, but there's always at least a few people dropping dumbbells, dropping the pulleys so the weights smash into their base, taking phone calls and using their phones as boom boxes. It's very disruptive and annoying

Best planet fitness I have been to . They keep the place clean, the employees are friendly and they have great equipment. I have been coming here since they opened once or twice a week. Only thing that bothers me a little bit is that I’m paying for a black card for the black card lounge and no one ever checks so I feel like I’m just wasting my money and should downgrade to the regular membership.

Planet Fitness has charged me extra late fees for 7 months. Even though my account always has money, their system delays the payment and adds a $20 late fee. I asked for help many times, but nobody solved the problem. Even the manager did not help - they kept sending me to the bank or giving me different numbers to call. They just wasted my time. Every visit, they stall me and redirect me elsewhere. What is the manager even doing? This is very unfair.

Had such a bad experience recently that had to write a review. So, I just cancelled my membership with PF at another state. Before doing so they told me that my plan (the black card plan) which allows me to go into any gym in the state would still work, so I could go to the gym in Boston until September something when my membership ended. On August 25th I went in the morning, and they told me that they could not find my membership, so I used the free day trial and after my workout called the home location in the other state where I started my membership and told them what happened. They told me they had changed my barcode to my phone number and that there should be no more issues going to the Boston location until September. When I went in again that same day later in the afternoon, I was met with one of the most immature staff I have ever encountered in my life. I walked in and told the lady at the front desk that she should be able to look me up by phone number (like I was told to say). She proceeded to completely botch the number and when I told her it was wrong, she started to get frustrated and giving me dirty looks. She finally added the right number and said she could not find me. I explained that I had just called the other location today and that there should not be a problem. She started to explain that that is an entirely different franchise and management and all this stuff in such a condescending way like I was an idiot. I tried explained to her that I could call the management team there and see if there is something we could do, and she got more and more frustrated like the fact that I was bringing it up was dumb. I even ask her "ok what can we do?" and she could not even give me an answer. then out of nowhere she realized her mistake and said "oh I just found you under 'advanced search'" whatever that means. After I asked her what the issue was, she just gave me the fakest smile and said have a good workout which I took as code that she was done talking to me.

After the workout I came up to her again to ask what I can do tomorrow to avoid this whole issue and what happened after was one of the funniest things I have ever witnessed. This lady proceeds to literally give me the cold shoulder while I am talking directly at her😂. She continues writing on a paper looking down even though I am right over the counter facing her. I asked multiple times, and she just proceeded to ignore me like I was not there. I felt like I was back in high school, I could not believe I was talking to a full-grown adult. I had to ask the very confused looking guy right next to her to ask her the question for me and she responded only to him like we were playing a game of telephone. I truly cannot believe how can a gym have such an immature employee. I believe her name was Stacy but could not catch her name as she was not wearing a nametag. This experience made me so happy I cancelled my subscription with PF. If you are in Allston, I strongly encourage you to get CRUNCH! They are literally 5 steps away from PF, have bigger space, nicer machines, and WAAAAAY nicer staff. I feel so sorry for what that woman must be going through to act in such a sad way.

Very disrespectful staff who are not willing to help with any problem. I had a problem with them charging me $45 instead of $25, the front desk girl said in a very disrespectful tone "It's not our problem that you are charged more, it's your bank's problem, not ours!!!". But my card is fine and always has money on it, and all my subscriptions and memeberships work with no problems.

this is the cleanest pf location i’ve ever been to. the staff do a great job keeping up. i love the downstairs, plenty of cardio machines - so many stairmasters! i’ve never had to wait for one to open up here.

I've been coming here every weekday for a few months now, usually around 10pm to try to get the sweet spot with free machines (but everyone has the same idea, to be honest). Really feel welcomed by the front desk everytime. I always see them emptying out trash, adding more paper towels, just being super diligent around the clock. Give em a raise 🤲🏼 !! Wouldn't feel as comfy here without em. Thank you!

I switched from the Y to come here for how much more the planet fitness has to offer for the membership prices ($15/$25) For the black level membership, you get to use some nice "spa" amenities. Their locker rooms are spacious and clean, they play good jams, it feels very clean on the gym floor, too. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the gym and its very friendly staff. Highly recommend this spot!

I really like the vibe at this Planet Fitness. The staff is chill and always friendly, and the gym is clean and organized, which makes a big difference. I usually go either early in the morning or later at night, and during those times it’s super smooth — no waiting around for machines, and I can just focus on my workout. I know it gets pretty packed during peak hours and the AC doesn’t always keep up, but since I avoid those times, it doesn’t really affect me. For my routine, it works perfectly. No complaints at all.

Went twice and was treated horribly both times. The staff I interacted with were mean bullies. Don't bother asking questions or signing up for the new member orientation expecting to actually get an orientation. It's cheap and you get what you pay for. Crunch is a 5-minute walk away and miles better.

Very pooooor, bad, and rude customer service, The manager is so rude, I was talking to her and she ignored me and gave me her back while I was explaining my problem. She kept cleaning the place and ignoring me. What kind of manager that cleans the place instead of dealing with the customer and trying to help them solving their issues!! Only one staff that was friendly, all other are very unprofessional, rude and don’t know how to deal with customers. They told me to get in the website and try to communicate with someone and there is nothing in the website and when I told them to show me how, they didn’t know and they said “we are not the one who designed the website” !!! I mean they don’t even know what they guide u to do

The problem was I had been charged twice for 3 services so I have paid total of 168$ in one month instead of 86$ !!!

I asked for a hydrobed after I got a hydro tanning, ones my hydro bed was done I see it reset to 10 min, I see a lady looking for bed #4 but mine had just stopped so in that case I’ve had to jump immediately out of the bed and clean it for her to get her massage ,which is obviously not ideal when you’re coming out of a relaxed state of mind, the light skin lady with glasses (planet fitness staff member) came to attack me in front of the other customer that ended up in bed 5 ,while I was on the bed telling me to next time not restart the bed if I know it was not set up for me, she couldn’t even wait for me to leave the massage room to mention it which it would’ve being completely appreciated, the customer sitting on bed 5 told me when I got up of the bed that she didn’t even care that there was no need for the planet fitness employee to come at me like that, she stated all I asked was for another bed since someone (me) was using number 4. This gave me a bad taste in my mouth about this place. When there’s not even free parking I still gotta have someone ruin my massage therapy session . And on top of that scream at me in front of another customer, completely unacceptable behavior, Ty for ruining my experience at this location.

You just can't beat the price. This location is definitely the nicest I've been to around Boston. Both floors are above ground level with big windows. It's always been tidy when I've visited. My only major complaint is that it's always too warm. It feels like they have the heat on and I'm sweating before I even touch a weight. 🥵

The staff is very friendly, and they helped me resolve a small payment issue in a very efficient and fast way. It seems that the manager was involved in this and resolved this pretty quickly. That’s a pleasure to deal with the people who work there. The gym also has a lot of brand-new and modern equipment. Very nice atmosphere overall.

Planet Fitness is the perfect place for my workouts. It is equipped with all the latest machines and maintains a clean, well-organized environment, making it an ideal and motivating space to exercise. It is conveniently located at just the right distance from my place, making travel easy and hassle-free. The facilities they offer at a reasonable price are budget-friendly for a student like me, and the hydro massage and chair massage are absolutely fantastic!

This gym has a great space and excellent equipment. The relaxation and massage facilities are impressive, especially the hydromassage, which feels amazing after an intense workout. Although the gym is newly opened and currently lacks trainers, they have mentioned trainers will be available starting February. It would also be more convenient if the QR codes on the machines, which display usage demos, were functional. Not all the QR codes work.

Things that need to happen asap are: more bins needed (they don’t have a bin in women’s locker room, only one on the way out of the lockers, this is bad as the sink area will for sure be consistently super dirty very soon), they also need bins in the tanning sections.

Also, I noticed they don’t change the cleaning stations often. Many of them are without paper.

Lastly, I know this is not equinox but the people on the front of the store need to smile more. The gym just started on the location and for example when people come in they don’t even care showing the amenities around. It doesn’t matter if the gym is cheap or if the pay is bad, we all try to love our jobs so please guys, do the same. You have no idea how much a little smile and positivity go for new comers at a gym. For the love of god, don’t be as grumpy as the downtown location. It’s the main reason people quit PF.

Other than that I’m happy with the gym and wish it goes great!

Your typical pf, and the staff friendly and the facility is HUGE which is nice. BUT for as big as this place is, why are there only THREE racks????? And why doesn’t pf have any free bars that aren’t terrible smith machines? The squat machines and add a plate bench things are NOT the same as a regular barbell. Workouts are so limited with smith machines

I used to be a gymit member and I loved that facility but the convenience of planet fitness across the US was just a better deal for me. Depending on where I end up in a year, I might consider going back to gymit
