This used to be the best PF to go to, until they renovated... Coming back to broken equipment, and LESS equipment. They got rid of duplicates of the more popular equipment so expect to spend most of your time here waiting for equipment to open up.

This gym only has 2 stairmasters and 1 is down all the time. It’s a popular machine and every other planet fitness that I’ve been to has at least 4 working ones.

Post-renovation there are less machines and they removed some of the half walls so now if you’re on the few machines they have left, it feels like you’re on display to the parking lot and front desk area. I understand making the space feel larger, but not when making equipment less available is what’s being sacrificed. The equipment locations used to make sense (legs at one end, abs in the middle, and arms by the bathrooms) now everything is spaced way out and again, feels like you’re on display.

You can’t speak to a staff member about it (as the management account has suggested to the other less than 5 star reviews) because there is never anyone at the front desk.

Cancelling my membership in the parking lot and will be going elsewhere. This renovation has brought this gym from a 10 to a 4.

Yes it’s clean, yes the locker rooms are well kept and the staff are nice. But the general lack of consideration for the members of the gym by taking away half the equipment is a poor reflection of the owners of this franchise.

I really enjoy how clean and well-maintained the gym is. The staff are always friendly and helpful, which creates a welcoming environment. Planet Fitness gives you what you pay for. Plenty of machines, not a ton of expectations - use it as you will. The Braintree location is very good and the staff are all very cordial and helpful. The site is kept clean and machines are rarely out of operation, which is all you can ask for. As a basic gym experience I've been satisfied enough to come for over a year and a half.

The staff is very attentive. The space is always clean, but the variety of equipment is small, many treadmills and few other options. There are only two stairs and they are always broken. Maintenance is always slow, leaving us without this cardio option.

The staff are super friendly, approachable, and always willing to help and answer questions. The facilities are spotless and the equipment is new. I love the color scheme - it’s not bright white like a lot of other Planet Fitness locations I have gone to - which hurts my eyes and reminds me of a hospital. It’s black and purple, which helps me relax.

Cautionary review.... If you don't wipe down equipment BEFORE, Please do so. I've only noticed for the first time coming here someone using a lot of equipment, all sweaty without wiping anything down. Just walking from machine to machine. Just be extra mindful. It was just gross to see, though I'm sure others do it.

I love Planet Fitness. There's always a large variety of patrons. I love all the different locations. The only problem I have is that it was supposed to be open 24 hours a day Monday - Saturday and closed for a few hours on Sunday. I understand the hour reductions during COVID, but why haven't the hours increased?

I normally love this gym, I joined in late 2022, and come 5-6 days weekly. It’s spacious and clean and everyone is very nice.

HOWEVER, three times in 2024 (it’s only Feb 8) they have been closed for plumbing issues. The first time they were considerate enough to update the app and let their hundreds of gym goers know they were closed. The past 2 days, no one has bothered to let anyone know. I plan my whole day around my workout, and drink my pre-workout right before I leave. There is just nothing less considerate than not letting people who have a membership to the gym, know that they aren’t open. If this happens again, I will be leaving the gym.

Ive been in my large share of gyms, and this one is top notch. Staff is great and solid as a rock at their jobs. Some are really amazing. The clientele are mostly all business. Cordial but little screwing around. I havent noticed dirty machines and pretty much all cardio equipment is functional. Only weakness is a an occasional warm water fountain. I have a gym membership to a 140/month (family) gym near work and I choose to go this one more frequently because of its unpretentious vibe.

My barcode didn’t scan and my name wasn’t coming up in the computer , the young lady helping me was kind and told me to come back before I leave to resolve it . After she expressed the situation to the Manager he kicked me out mid workout and told me I would have to drive 15 mins away to my home gym or come back tomorrow when it’s resolved.” It cost nothing to be kind “ his actions were very arrogant and distasteful !

I took a shower there yesterday, and the water was very cold. I checked all the rooms, and no room has a hot water. That was my first time taking shower there and it made me sick 😷. I am having a cold and sore throat now, terrible experience. Please turn on the hot water for the shower room or at least let all the guests know that there is no hot water. Otherwise, many people may get sick like me!!!

I like going to this gyn in the mornings around 8 am. It’s convenient for me and not as busy as it can get later in the morning. The down side is with members who sit at the machines playing with their phone, or on a phone call. Very annoying! Then there are members who think it’s ok to keep banging the weights on the machine.

Visited family there two weeks ago & they joined PF. We are black card members in our home state. I was very surprised at the difference at this club. I realize they're independently franchised, but cleaning standards should be nationally mandated by PF. This club, in Braintree...dirty. I watched members walk away from equipment w/out wiping down. The collection of stains & dust & debris under equipment is mind boggling. Plus, the equipment is older models. It was like 75° in there as well. When I asked the one employee about it, he said he has no control over the temp. It also smells sweaty like a locker room. Why? Members should be assured you are steam cleaning every day, mopping floors & keeping it cool & air circulation especially during a pandemic. Where are the reviews regarding cleanliness or equipment recently?

I went in to use the cable machine and there was a “D” ring missing from one side. I told the manager in duty who was very unprofessional about it. We walked over to it so I could show him, it was exactly the same distance to the one in the other side and there was NO sign or lock or tape on it. I was trying to explain to him that it’s just missing it and I’ve been here plenty of times with it being attached. Across from me is a pull down cable machine and it’s closer to me than the other one that I was trying to use. He told me “I was wrong” in those words. I was being polite and never got upset, he just walked away as I was still trying to explain the situation. Very unprofessional and very disappointed!!!!

Update: they never stock their paper towels on the floor. You always have to walk around to find one that is filled!! Why do you want me to email you when I’ve said everything here?!?!

Very unhappy with gym. Massive billing problems and terrible customer service. My husband joined this gym 2 months ago and had continues billing problems. When trying to resolve the double billing for December the manager Edit was apathetic and unwilling to fix the problem. Then came along another Larissa ( manager ) said i was loud and cancel the membership and threaten to call the police on me. Bottom line beware. Debited enrollment fee, annual fee, monthly fee, cash paid at the location and (unjustified) late fees. Had to block them from my bank account.

Been here with several members since 6:50 am nobody on site to open the club.. this is one more instance to the list of an ongoing issue. Wish you could see the frustration of all the members waiting outside including myself.. one thing is clear we are committed ,no many people has left we’ve been here for more than 50 minutes .
