Staff at this location are friendly & respectful, keep it clean & equipment pretty well maintained. A malfunctioning machine is usually repaired within 2 days.
The last 2 years have seen little of the skimpy clad Instagramers with photog’s in tow, changing the neighborhood vibe.
I love the diversity of this club that reflects that of its city, nationally recognized for its longstanding racial harmony.
Seniors will feel comfortable working out near the 20 somethings and the very occasional grade school nephews babysitting their uncles.
We’re more crowded in the summer as we’re joined by the highschoolers, hopefully “adulting” as well as last year.
Lastly, the hookup scene is subtle and mostly after 6pm.

I really like going to this location, and I go to Saugus, Revere, Danvers, but this one is my favorite, however, lately it’s been so unkempt. Almost every area is a MESS! Ladies room, there’s always hair and toilet paper in the sink. The trash barrels are always full, and just the other day, a whole bag of Qdoba was spilling over. The paper towels are empty a lot now. The massage area is slipping, too. I don’t know what’s going on, but I hope changes are made soon.

This location is poorly maintained. The women’s bathroom often has no toilet paper, and the trash cans are usually overflowing with paper towels. I live just five minutes away, so I occasionally stop by out of convenience—but 9 times out of 10, I regret it. I usually end up leaving and heading to the Salem or Saugus locations instead, which are noticeably cleaner and have staff who actually do their jobs.

Your employees laugh at customers?? What a shame Miss Griffith had such a bad experience at your facility and there was no acknowledgment of this by the owner. Customers should never be made to feel they are laughed at or ignored. I will absolutely not go to the Lynn facility and risk being treated rudely. The owner should have responded to her review and concerns and those front desk people should get instructions how to interact with customers.

Staff is rude. My roommate who is a plus size female asked for assistance checking in for the first time, and just for general guidance around the gym and was laughed at.

I’ve been to this location before and based on equipment alone would recommend the Salem location over this one regardless. Despite this location being less than a mile from us, we will certainly not ever be going here.

As a previous kickboxing coach and athlete of various sports over the years, I cannot emphasize enough that size doesn’t mean anything about strength and abilities. I’ve seen plus size individuals throw some of the most incredible tumbling passes to being the most powerful on the mat hitting the bag.

Disgusting, disgraceful, and just simply pathetic behavior from this staff. Get it together and be better.

I walked out of here and cried in the parking lot for about twenty minutes because of how bad my experience was lmao. This is my first time at the facility, and at a planet fitness in general, but I literally studied for this and watched the app and videos on YouTube about the equipment in advance so I would be prepared and self sufficient. I walk in and I'm the only person in line, even tho the place is decently crowded. I am a 23 year old plus size female. I approached the desk and said hello and explained this is my first time here, and I was unsure of how to check in but I would really appreciate some help, I have the black card membership and the app. I was stared at, and then the two other people working just kind of laughed at each other. I pulled up my QR code like they asked and scanned in. And then someone finally said oh we can give you a tour. I said thanks great I really appreciate it! The person who showed me around was very nice actually. So then I went back up to purchase a lock because they informed me they had locker rooms, I said great. I bought the thing and set myself up. And like, here's the deal, I'm not a princess, I don't need the royalty treatment, but I felt really ostracized and not welcome here. I ended up actually just taking my stuff and leaving because many of
The open machines were not functional, and then it was just so over packed on the ones that were. For a business that prides itself on accessibility for beginners, has affirmations on every machine, and says "no judgement" I felt like that was the complete opposite. I'm not asking again for someone to personally train me. I just wanted to know where the bathroom was and the organization of the equipment. There is nowhere to wait or stand and the pathways are super narrow. I just wanted to use an elliptical machine, of which there were many open, and even though they told me 99% of the machines have instructions, those magically don't. Don't come here.

Poor service from manager , , manager is rude , he lacks leadership ,professionalism , planet fitness should require some sort of class to qualify such individual for such position .

The receptionist is always very attentive and welcoming. Always saying hi, welcome when walking in and always saying goodbye have a great day on the way out.. which makes things feel very comfortable. I wish there were more pelvic/glute machines as some of the other planet fitness has but overall I always have a good experience.

I wasn’t planning on leaving a review, but after today’s experience, I feel compelled. The manager working today has an issue, and for some reason, it seems to be with me. At sign up, we’re given the choice of whether or not to take a photo for the ID. I’ve never had one, and I’ve been a member for years. It’s always been made clear that it’s optional, and no one has ever given me a hard time about it—until this manager.

Today, he called me immature in a passive-aggressive tone because I opted not to take a photo and instead offered my ID to verify my identity. Despite having my membership pass and being a regular, he made it an issue. No other staff or gym I’ve been to enforces this, but this man seems to have made it his mission to single me out.

He doesn’t let you get a word in, and frankly, I’d rather avoid interacting with him altogether. I now make sure to have my ID ready, not because it’s required, but to avoid giving him any excuse to mess with my membership. His behavior feels more about control than policy.

To top it off, he’s outright rude. I can only imagine the trouble he causes for others who look like me. It’s unacceptable.

Horrible experience with their RUDE MANAGER at the Lynn location. I have never experienced such rude person to a consumer. When I asked him to give me his manager or owner number he refused and he said to me that why would I want his information and I said because you are rude and he responded “do you want his personal number too” and was laughing. It’s great. Employees are good. It’s just one thing I asked, a wall watch is very important when people workout. Just glance at the wall and see your time, instead of digging down your pocket or bag. I went to this planet fitness location today to cancel my membership because I have found another gym that is closer to me. When I walked in I was greeted by the kindest person named Junior. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS GYM. now idk if this is at every planet fitness, but I signed up for the $10 a month and in total they charged me $75 and are refusing to give me any type of refund. When I signed up it was $10 a month, cancel at anytime, no commitment. A $75 charge sounds like a lot of commitment to me. Who can I speak with that’s above this gym? I’ve been a member of planet fitness for over a yr. Today I went to use the gym they let me know I was 2 days past payment. I politely said okay thanks for letting me know I’ll take care of this later. They refused to let me use the gym. This Specific Planet fitness has been my worst experience in the New England area by far. I’ve visited almost every planet fitness. Will be switching to Crunch Fitness. Terrible customer service.

There no manager on the floor they leave they’re employees to do whatever the they want. I canceled an account there over 1 year ago and they said the person who I told to cancel my account is no longer in the company and they can’t do anything to answer for the mistake when the person was hired by the company and location. I went to this place trying to find a solution (help) with my member account because I was having billing issues But to my surprise, consulting and asking for help was cause for verbal abuse from the manager. Even when I showed him my phone in my account I threw it on the table, it was all on the gym's security cameras and he still had the courage to tell me that I had to thank him for talking to me like he was. not receiving a salary for their work and caring for people because that is what their job is about, taking care of people, they should put people who can do their job well in those types of positions because I for one will never visit that place again.

Clean place, the staff is friendly but this particular place false advertise (24/7 not) they close 9pm Monday-Friday and 7pm Saturday-Sunday. They claim because they are short staffed but I'm pretty sure that's not necessarily true. If you're looking for a gym to work out later in the night THIS IS NOT THE ONE. Closes to early!

The cleanliness of the gym is actually very good The machines are back up and working as of lately but the reason I chose planet fitness and canceled my LA fitness membership was because all planet fitness advertise 24 hours and the Lynn location is the only location that is currently closing at 7 o’clock on the weekend and nine or 10 o’clock on weekdays because of staff issues. For the last two years I utilize this gym late at night because it’s quieter and less chance getting sick. They used to have one person working third shift so I can’t understand why it’s so hard to find somebody to work third shift in Lynn because revere both locations and Salem locations are never closed . Makes you wonder if because Lynn is a minority city they don’t feel they have to honor the 24 /7 they advertise that gets most people to sign up for the membership if they’re not going to be open 24 hours they should give all Lynn members a discount on pricing!I was waiting to see if it changed back to 24 hours 20 years New Year’s me and a friend probably have to transfer our membership to Salem because not being open 24 hours and closing at 7 PM on the weekends is roughly 80 hours a week not available to Lynn

Not awful by any means but missing a few machines/pieces of equipment I've seen at other PF's. Staff can be hit or miss. My main issue is that I joined this gym partly because it was 24 hours and due to staffing issues (at least that was the explanation I was given ) they have been closing early for the past month or so of the two months that I've been a member. They close at 7:00 on weekend nights and that's just so early. I understand this might not be anyone's fault (or maybe it is and they could prioritize finding somebody for third shift) but it is really inconvenient When them being 24 hours was one of the advertised amenities I joined and paid for.

This place is poorly managed and staff is rude, an employee approached me with a weird attitude and asked me to check in a 2nd time after I already had, when I questioned Why I had to scan a 2nd time she went and got the manager, I exchanged afew words with the manager and scanned a 2nd time, I walk over all the way down to the other corner of the gym and start exercising, 2 set in and the same employee interrupts my workout and a conversation I'm having to let me know that my account has been flagged for inappropriate behavior or something like that because I questioned why I had to scan twice I'm assuming,she then threatened to cancel my membership at that point I went back to the manager being followed by this person the whole time, when I we get to her, this person continues to scream at me right in front of the manager who was very indifferent to the whole situation,and basically just told me to go back to my workout, I don't think I've ever given a 1 star review before, but your location really earned it
