Have not been since the renovation. I asked for assistance just to show me the functions on the "new to me" treadmills. The desk jockey showed me how to adjust speed and lifts then walked away. Walking out i asked if next time I could be shown all the functions. Shoulder shrugs, distain and an explanation that both desk jockeys had not been trained and were unfamiliar with the machines. REALLY?

The gym was remodeled and the layout makes no sense, the spray bottle stations are fewer and the paper towels dispensers don't work. The total body machine has been out of order since the remodel. The stretching area is always littered with large dust bunnies. The machines are dirty. I think this gym has great potential but they really miss the mark when it comes to the small stuff.

It's a clean cheap gym. Their surprise renovation (closing for a month without notifying members and still billing them) looks great. They significantly reduced their cardio equipment and weight machines. Now, if you want to use en elliptical or a specific weight machine you may have to wait even when it is slow. They could easily fit in more equipment, but decided not to.

Since the recent renovations (July-August 2025), I have to say they were not for the better. The brightness level in there now rivals a hospital, painting everything white and adding more lights - not a great idea.

The flow of the gym is way off, certain areas now feel really empty, and others feel like I'm on top of the person in the row of machines in front or next to me.

The cleaning stations - the spray bottles were all broken today when I went in, and they are so spread out - I felt guilty not leaving something like my phone or sweatshirt at the machine to indicate I will be right back after I track down paper towels and spray to clean it off.

The stationary bikes you added have tour de france style seats now, which is great if you are lance armstrong, for the rest of us, its a bruised tailbone every time.

all in all, not happy I had to drive out of my way for another PF in either Dedham or Foxboro for a month, to come back to these poor changes.

I recently had a very negative experience at this gym that I feel is important to share. I visited the tanning beds for the first time, accompanied by a friend for assistance, as I was unfamiliar with the equipment. We had some trouble figuring out the machine, and a white male employee with buzzed dark hair and arm tattoo abruptly knocked and spoke to us in a very rude and condescending manner, stating, 'You guys cannot be in here, this isn’t a playground,' and calling us 'kids.'I found this approach completely unprofessional. Instead of offering help or politely informing us of any rules regarding the tanning beds, he was immediately accusatory. As first-time users, we were unaware of the protocols. When I explained that I was new to tanning and also claustrophobic, the employee responded with a threat of membership cancellation if I brought someone in there, suggesting I shouldn’t use the beds at all.
This behavior is unacceptable. A simple offer of assistance or a polite explanation of the rules would have been sufficient. Instead, the employee was rude and created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. I hope management will address this employee's behavior to prevent similar incidents in the future.

I made a membership at the Norwood location back in May 2024 where they had my location out of state and never corrected it. I cancelled the same week. I have since been being charged monthly fees and have called to speak to management several times. Each time I have called they tell me management is not available. Hector was one gentleman I spoke to who was very kind and sincere. Today, the manager Scott got on the phone, screamed at me and was completely disrespectful and unprofessional. I would NEVER give business to this establishment again. I will also be filing a complain with cooperate. My goal was to simply ask to be reimbursed for the charges or have a credit placed on my account but instead was verbally attacked.

I love this location! I truly feel comfortable going here. The staff members are all super friendly and welcoming. I know if I have a question or need assistance, I can ask any of the staff. The gym is very clean and the staff frequently replenishes the paper towels and sprays bottles. I also love the playlists! The music is great. I usually use the gym for summer or slick winter weather. Last winter there were several treadmills out of service and it was too busy because of that.
But I have recently started my summer indoor routine and I am happy to say that all the machines are in working order making it easier to work out without being on top of one another. Also the gym is super clean. They actually have someone cleaning equipment constantly. LOVE IT!

Clean enough gym, the showers have had debris in them for 5 days, so not sure how often they clean, machines are new, basic but way worth it. But whats the 3 stars, the employees, they don't greet or say anything, they're just looking down at their phones ALL THE TIME, no smiles, no customer service skills. They almost look away if you say hi. They pretend to clean machines but are just pantomiming, im assuming to get away from the mamager, but then clean for real man. The people at night are nicer. I'm just so tired of awful interactions with employees all over the place.

Do not join this club..after 11 months they will charge you $54 which is in your contract but they charge it even if your cancel before the year membership is up. They will charge it even if you cancel well before you need too. The manager Dennis Almeida is extremely rude and confrontational. He'll get in your face when you prove your point because he is frustrated that he doesn't have a comeback. He accused me of fraud with no basis for it at all.Do yourelf a favor join another club even a different pf in a nearby town.

Friendly workers, even people working out are nice enough to help you out if needed. Different spots for different machines, a stretching room which is amazing because it's a little secluded. You can work out in there. They have yoga mats. Great place all around. I'd suggest the Black Card. Not only can you work out in different locations, but you can bring someone as a guest. I must say during my stay/visit in Norwood, earlier this year. I went by this particular facility. Let me just say this, most of the machines that I wanted to use wasn't working so it made my whole workout session sucked! On top of that, I had the employee watching me like I was a black kid in the 60's going to an all white grocery store thinking I'm about to steal something smh. I felt so uncomfortable smh. If I asked a question it was as if I was bothering the staff. All it took for one day, after that I would never stepped in that building. If this was the only planet fitness at that time I would never ever signed up for it. But, thank God most of the other planet fitness I've been into was different. Please work on having the machine working, as well as having the right staff members interacting with customers. Apart from all that, I will say the place was pretty clean great job!

Went in to cancel my membership before moving away from this location. The system was down when I went in so I left my info with one of the employees and they told me they would cancel it. I went to this place on OCT 15 morning and the guy in front desk has worst attitude.i was standing there for long time. He didn't even bother abt me .The member who he was talking told him to look into me .Even after that he didn't attend me . He is doing everything on purpose. I went into this place with pretty low expectations, having read the reviews and seen all the PF memes. I must say I was pleasantly surprised.

I went in looking for a new gym membership with a buddy. The front desk person was super friendly and not really pushy. The gym itself was spacious, had a ton of equipment (besides cardio), and was quite clean (at the time). The person took us on a comprehensive tour and answered all our questions. He then recommended a plan which best suited our needs and budget. This is my gym now.

At the end of my workout, I hit the massage bed, which was a fantastic end to the experience. Overall was impressed and will update in a month or so.

Just started going to Planet because WOW Norwood closed. The only thing that stinks is that they don't offer classes. I can't take a point off because none of the PF do. But other than that the gym is SUPER CLEAN. Staff is really nice. Their tanning beds are awesome and newer. Machines all work. I even saw them DEEP CLEANING the treadmills as in pulling them apart and cleaning them inside. Cleaning stations everywhere. This gym never smells. Massage beds are awesome. I really enjoy this location.

I've never seen in any gym the lack of professionalism, the staff chased me down for carrying a spray bottle with me while using a row of machines, ripped it out of my hand and told me to leave!
