I signed up as a member here before the doors even opened. I have been here for many changes, many management and many staff. I also hold a membership to Crunch. With that being said Planet Fitness Somerset is my home, the manager now Matt is one of the best managers I’ve seen running the facility, he is always professional but kind, he never forgets to ask how your day is going with a smile, he may be the manager but every day I’m here I see him out on the gym floor ALWAYS cleaning, he doesn’t put himself above his staff, he will work just hard , everything is clean here, Daylan the trainer has been here a very long time, he is excellent at what he does, he is always good about safety and correct form, which is important , and is a great perk that’s included in your membership, and I often take advantage of it! More importantly I always feel comfortable with him, and all the staff , they really make it feel like a second home, and you are the gym family, there’s tanning and massage chairs and beds( the chair is the BEST) also take advantage of that too often lol! Honestly I can’t say enough good things about coming here, and I may have 2 separate gym membership but the atmosphere, the manager, the staff, the facility and amenities, THIS Planet Fitness is where I’ve always come to get the best workouts!💕

I love waking up and going to this gym. Everyone working out is always so happy, smiling and nice. I think that’s because they’re so driven and determined to keep themselves healthy and fit. It might have to do with the staff as well. Everyone that works there is so friendly, kind, caring and encouraging. They make me happy to be there. All of them!! Matthew the manager is excellent. He wants the best for everyone. He will listen to anyone and help them in anyway. He has given me strength, hope and confidence that I will be a great version of myself one day!!

This place is absolutely huge! It has doubles of several machines, such as the seated elliptical which is great if you have a bad back or bad knees. It is super clean. The black card spa area was also spotless. All of the equipment is in fantastic condition. I highly recommend this location.

I only go there because the hours are a little better than WOW. Yes, it is clean but the equipment is not up to par and there aren't enough machines for certain exercises. As far as some of the reviews that say the staff is friendly, well I wouldn't go that far. They're okay, but that's about it. When gyms are allowed to open 24 hours, then I'm going back to WOW. By the way, those plastic flag signs at the cleaning stations are a hazard. Occasionally they slide down the pole that they're on and the pointed edge becomes dangerous enough to do eye damage. Please take care of that.

It’s a great environment for daily workouts. Kate does a great job managing Somerset. She really puts her heart and hard work into the facility. The Somerset PF is The most orderly and clean gym I’ve ever experienced. If you go later in the day you will usually see Matt who is also remarkably dedicated as well. He is always quick to give a word of encouragement which is appreciated. Happy to be a member!

I had a great experience with Planet Fitness in Somerset. The staff is professional, especially Matthew and Lowe. I had a very good experience with them today and alway. Fall River planet fitness is not so good compared to Somerset. The workout equipment, tanning beds and massage chairs are constantly breaking down. I’ve been at all River planet fitness for two years andthey are missing a 10 pound weight and have been ever since I started there. Somerset is very very clean. I’ve had a couple really bad experiences at Fall River Planet Fitness with the staff as they are unpleasant, rude, and very unprofessional.

I use the Somerset one next to stop & shop. I feel comfortable there & have made some good friends just by working out next to them. It's nice to have people who have similar goals as you & push you to get better. The staff has been nothing short of excellent & willing to help any time. Being a regular there is nice cause they already know you & make you feel even more comfortable being there. There's plenty of space, machines & free weights to get a really great workout in. And as long as you have the black card membership, the massage & tanning booths are just great extra perks to have after a hard workout. Keep it up, guys. yall do a phenomenal job!!

The manager Kate is honestly one of the meanest people I have ever met. I called and she yelled pretty much just for me calling and was terrible to deal with. I can’t believe she still has a job and hasn’t gotten fired yet. Shes insanely rude and just from reading the other reviews I can tell I’m not the only person that has had an issue with her. I will never go to this location again because of her. She just lost a customer.

Love the gym but the tanning beds are in unsafe and poor condition. The acrylic is all cracked and broke and bulbs are not regularly being changed. I would have loved to speak to management but was told customer concerns as well as staff concerns regarding tanning beds are not being taken seriously by management. Please maintain them proberly to keep clients safe.
Otherwise the gym is great.

The staff at this club does an amazing job.
From customer service to attempting to keep the club clean.
I have been a pf member for well over a decade.
Have been coming to this location for at least 10 years and i live well out of the area.
My only suggestion is to the ownership and/ or upper level management.
Since this location is highly utilized, you really need to update your weight training machines and equipment.
The staff can only do so much with what they have.
You need to update your equipment.
Old equipment will just break down.
And for customers like myself, you can see the deterioration.

I have the black card, so when I travel I can still go to the gym. This location was pristine with plenty of choices and lots of machines. Locker rooms were also clean. When I was walking out, one of the employees called me by name and wished me a great day. That was a nice surprise as it was my first time at this location.

When I come back to this area, I’ll be sure to go to this location again.

The gym is spacious and There is plenty of gym equipments BUT the music volume overhead is Too loud to point it interferes being able hear the podcast through my noise cancelling!! I signed up here a little over a month ago, it has been the best gym I’ve been to! The manager was patient helping me sign up, showed me and my friend around. I had patronized this gym a little over a year. Despite during the summer not being able to use to weight machines I needed to because they gave “free” memberships to kids and the kids would hang out on the machines. I stayed, it’s close. When a different gym opened I tried it and they have group classes which I thought would be better for me and my schedule. I called in January 2023 to cancel. I was told I need to go in to cancel, was never told a date or anything. I went on February 11th (Saturday) since I work during the week it is impossible for me to go sooner. In January I paid the yearly membership fee and monthly fee despite not using the gym. I knew my membership renews on 16th of the month so I figured I was well before it. I was told I had to pay $23.07 to cancel early. I don’t understand how I am canceling early, I just paid a yearly fee for a year I am not going to be there for, paid an entire month I didn’t use the gym, now I have to pay $23.07 because I didn’t make it there by the 10th, sorry but on the 10th we were spending time with my terminally ill father in law. I will also contact the attorney general because this is outrageous.

Edit, took another star off since all locations have changed their payment policy. I pay for a full year up front with a credit card every year to be able to go to locations across the country sinc I travel. Now, they won't take that payment unless you give them your ACH banking info too. They have no business having this information if that is not the form of payment being used. Very upset about this. They tried to respond on Facebook telling me it is select locations, however, I have called a number of managers and they have all stated this is company wide - they don't have a choice in the matter.

Very clean. Just wish they had more of a variety of cardiac equipment and more than 1 shoulder rotation device and at more than just a few locations. This is used for rehabilitation after heart surgery and if someone is on it and you don't have a ride to come back, you lose out for the day.

The hours are ridiculous. PF use to be known for its time accessibility. This location's hours are the worst Ive ever seen as a traveler. This needs to change asap. When I signed up for Planet Fitness, it was 24 hours. Is it ever going back to that 24/7 schedule as many PF's have nationally? Also this place was brand new a few years ago. Keep up with the little things and do proper maintenance, replace handles, ropes and wear items before everything is falling apart like several other gyms.

I have benefited greatly and learned a lot training with him. He is very dedicated to his clients. He goes above and beyond to help his clients reach goals.

I'm 65 years old and a member of the Somerset planet fitness since it openned about 5 years ago, l've always enjoyed going there to exercise which I need for my health but today I was very disappointed and embarrassed by a worker that was very rude and started yelling at me because I was using a bike that had a sign that said SOCIAL FITNESSING, I didn't know that it ment the machine couldn't be used especially when there were three other people using other bikes and the girl didn't say anything to them, she just came straight at me and started yelling " I'm sick and tired of you people taking the signs down and using the machines " I told her to lower her voice and explain what she meant she threatned to trow me out of the premises. I was told that she is the manager and her name is Kate. This girl needs to be trained in how to speak with customers, without customers she wouldn't have that job.
Time to look for another gym.

Waited a few months to write a review for this club before I gave my opinion. Years ago I was a member of the PF in Fall River and I left for a few reasons, I was hesitant to rejoin PF. I'm a black card member now at Somerset PF. I utilize the hydro beds and I tan, there's never a wait time to use these. The staff members are very friendly/helpful. The manager Kate is very professional and welcoming. The club is super clean I've even made jokes you can eat off the floor lol. The staff are always walking around cleaning the equipment, I've never seen this done before! Bathrooms are very clean. Machines are always available (at least when I typically go). Nice place to workout and make friends in my opinion.

You learn to somewhat deal w overcrowding then they let teens join for free in thesummer. It's a nice thing but completely impractical for existing members who are trying to prioritize health.
I even kept it quiet even I had to take a cold shower for the 2nd time. Utilized patience when it took a week for them to repair 2 out of the 4 showers (one of the working ones was handicap accessible and i honestly don't know how they navigate that.)
My main concern is overcrowding and just not being able to use a smith machine. People literally camp out there for an hour, mostly talking to friends on their phone, occasionally walking over to their other friend who is also monopolizing another smith machine. How about a time limit? Or maybe add a couple? I like to move slow but it's ridiculous at this point. I even changed my routine to work around the bigger crowds but now with the free memberships it's hit or miss. 5 o'clock on a weekend. Been waiting since 4:15 and Im gonna skip that machine.

Very over crowded as of recently, the time of day doesn't matter. it was never like this. The broken tanning booth is also a huge inconvenience.
