The gym itself is in great shape - all the equipment is well maintained or repaired in good time. The bathrooms in the Men’s Area are disgusting. The waterless urinals fail on a regular basis - I assume because they aren’t replacing the Sloan cartridges. The showers smell foul as the u traps are clogged with old decomposing hair. The floor of the handicap bathroom was awash this morning. Really poor maintenance from staff and whatever ‘fly by night’ plumbing operation they have contracted.

Update 11/11/25 : Thanks to the owners and staff . I’ve been four times in the past week and the bathrooms are spotless, the urinals have been repaired and the showers are clean again.

I have to say out of all the gyms I’ve been to this is definitely in my top five in this state they have everything I personally need, but I like to do that sometimes I have to go to three different gyms to get just because maybe an exercise equipment isn’t there overall bathrooms are extremely clean atmosphere is really nice. You can use the rock pot to get music over the intercom so that it’s nice plus but definitely in my top five it’s a must check out. It’s a smaller gym. Just keep that in mind but overall it’s awesome.

I signed up at the wrong location stupidly like 2 years ago when I was homeless so I could also shower. Now because I missed an annual fee they won't let me cancel. I literally live too far to even go there and the staff pretty much laughed it off. N now that im in a place I have to pay this stupid monthly fee for a gym I can't even use because I signed up for the wrong thing.

Accidents happen and id like to see you go mistake free when your homeless amd delirious amd are looking for a place to shower. Now hundred of dollars wasted on a gym I haven't been to once.

Your entire staff that pretty much laughed it off when I called can kick rocks. N I read a other review... the member just wanted to pay for the year and you replied with "oh yeah that happens when signing up for a new membership, bummer... grr me too I hate it"

Although the gym is always packed, we really enjoy coming here to work out. The staff is friendly. However there’s a guy who’s often with two women—he seems to be training or recruiting them, but personally, he’s not the issue. The concern is one of the women who has approached me and my buddies on numerous occasions in a flirtatious way, making comments about how I should pull or lift . what is the right way and what isn’t . It’s getting uncomfortable. We come here to work out, not to be harassed. While she does work out, it often feels like she’s more interested in starting trouble than training. One day, she might come cross the wrong person who’s just not in the mood for it—and it shouldn’t have to get to that point for the behavior to be addressed.

The gym is a non judgemental gym. I feel very comfortable working out there. The workout machines are very clean & there is plenty of machines so your not waiting for one. The one in Dartmouth Massachusetts has the black card & that is what I have so I get extra perks always a bonus. I just enjoy working out there.

Rude service! Guy who looks like a wannabe mall security, hassling me cause I needed to talk to family member!. . I wasn't even wearing workout clothes(if he was worried I was trying to steal 10 dollar membership) lol Told him what I was doing, but he still stood there to intimidate me. Thought about getting membership in near future, but now I'm rethinking going there. Gyms are everywhere. Don't have to go far to find another one. #takejobtooserious!

I like the amount of different machines to use, but my favorite thing is the hydromassage. What I do not like is when people just sit on a machine while not using it and just wasting time on their cell phone. I do wish they had exercise classes, like Zumba, etc.

Been a satisfied member for years but was shocked recently with the policies of PF. I was paying monthly but decided I wanted to pay for the year. It turns out that to do that you have to sign up for a whole new membership which carries a $50.00 start up fee. If I am already a member how am I starting up a new membership? When I got home and started doing the math that’s when I noticed the extra fee. When I called back to go back to monthly payments the manager was extremely rude and told me that there is no cancellation on new contracts. By the way, on their website they’re offering a $1.00 start up
Fee for new members and I had to pay $50.00. They totally make no sense and I’m so disappointed that I was treated so rudely after being a dedicated customer.

I just don't recommend this place anymore. The bathrooms are always stained and the floors are gross, I just bring my own Lysol wipes to clean the bathroom I want to use. It doesn't have a decent cleaning crew at all.

I asked for this gym membership for my birthday and I got my wish and the upgrade of the black card, I have cerebral palsy and there’s equipment I can use, my favorite part after my workout is to do the hydro massage after almost every workout… don’t like needing to take days off, the only downside of planet fitness is that the wifi system is not reliable and it’s hard to always do the app check in because the wifi isn’t always working and I don’t have service from my carrier in the building..
love how my friends who are more disabled than me can find stuff to do and come on my guest pass with me twice a week.. love going back to planet fitness since the expansion and getting the black card.. I love the recumbent bike and the arm ergometer .
I only wish that the wifi was better and that if we wanted to we could leave the locker with our stuff in there (non valuables) i mean like clothes or shower stuff if i wanted to take a shower then i would not have to bring everything everyday i go because i go Monday-Friday to planet fitness and I change every-time but i think it would be easier and more convenient if we would be able to leave clothes in s locker with our personal lock that i bring

I am very disappointed with Planet Fitness in Dartmouth. The water filter/fountain is not working for several days and it doesn't offer an alternative for the users to get water, besides buying water. Several times the urinals in the men's locker room are clogged for several weeks. The smell is absolutely horrendous!!! I am quite disappointed because it is getting worse.

The gym is fine, nothing for me to complain. However, I’m writing this review to applaud Shanti. She’s at the front desk mostly during the weekends. I don’t even know her, just asked her name for the review. One cannot ignore her dedication. I’ve been going there for years, as well as other PF gyms, and she’s the best. Manager, Shanti deserves a promotion + raise + bonus. What a role model for other employees.

I almost didn't go due to bad reviews, but am glad I did. Gym, equipment and locker areas were clean and I saw employees actively cleaning when they were not helping customers. I was happy to find they have Total Body Enhancement when not many PFs I have been to in MA do. I used it and hydromassage and both seemed newer than other locations. I had never been to this location before and Shanti was very friendly and helpful every time I asked a question. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

The g.m and the manager here are very rude and awful customer service, I been trying to get a hold of corporate to no luck , now I understand why they can treat customers this way with no worries of getting in trouble. They would not help me with signing up. They also would not give me the owners number, I also see them ban another member wells I was there bad business I wouldn't go to these owned planet fitness I would drive to Wareham about 35 mins away before I drive 5 mins to this location

The owner (s) of this gym neglects to make the necessary repairs to equipment that has been “out of order” for months!!! There are at least four pieces of equipment that are “out of order.” They have been down for months.
Also, one of the recumbent bikes that actually works is positioned too close to another piece of equipment and it’s impossible to use the bike if someone is using that equipment.
The gym is deteriorating and equipment is not properly maintained as it should be.
I heard that there’s a problem in the men’s room with a sink that also hasn’t been addressed!

The majority of recumbent bikes have been out of service for some time. The displays on most of the treadmills are not fully operational.

Trying to get ahold of corporate, if you ever have any issues the regional manager is very unprofessional!!!. I had an issue with the fairhaven location with Sam was harassing me. I went to the darmouth location after 4 times and they came up to me during my work out and said the g.m doesnt want you here!!! I caused no issues minding my business. As a professional business owner myself they're the company like a shark pool. I asked for the general managers name they would not give it to me, I have been going to wow for over 10 years never had an issue til I moved to fairhaven location. Trying to get ahold of corporate. Like a whole new gym. The place isn't recognizable, compared to what it was before the renovation. Before it was dark and dank, w/out a view of the outside word. The old interior was literally black. Entirely de-motivating. Now it has large windows and has a light paint scheme. Everything is in good shape now and the atmosphere is conducive to getting a good workout.

I have always struggled with being consistent but recently I’ve been doing good and it feels good to have a place where I feel safe working out, it’s clean mostly everyone cleans after themselves and if not the workers do their part! I love this gym but sadly im about to leave because of one reason i keep telling them to do
Please please please change your lights it’s so dark it’s like a cave. Can’t enjoy looking at my muscles and movements.
We are a group go there together but we are all thinking to leave to a better gym unless you really put a better lights and make the gym really bright.

Honestly don't know why people complain about how the gym isn't clean enough. The place is Always in top notch condition. All machines are finally available after the pandemic and the staff is friendly and stays out of your way when you're doing your thing. If you need their help however they're more than happy to help you out. The whole no judgement zone thing isn't taken to the extreme like in some other PF locations.

I wish they had more weights as if I ever workout legs again on this gym I'm gonna have to be running around the gym collecting enough 45lb plates for the leg press to make it slightly challenging since it only goes up to 7plates a side but they have decent hamstring and adductors machines

I read reviews from other reviewers about music being too loud...it's not loud. If it's too loud for you then, I recommend bringing your own music. Place is clean nothing to complain about. I went to the one in fairheaven one I do like that gym but I personally think it's too small and crowded compared to this one here. My experience here is, you don't have to wait on people who are hogging machines and just sits there on their phones not working out some machines are vacant, It's a good gym if you just want to work out and get out. Price isn't bad. You get what you pay for especially paying 10 or 20 bucks a month.

The music is too loud for me, especially given it's the same set of pop songs every time you're in there. It would be better if it was at a more ambient volume. If you like doing cardio in front of 12 televisions you're in luck, otherwise have fun with ads for junk food and toxic news media while you're working out.

1. Overall very clean.
2. Havent met a staff member that wasn't pleasant and courteous. Granted when there is more than one person working, more cleaning and interacting could be done, instead of everyone at the counter talking. But I'm only there 1(ish) hours at a time.
3. The no gymtimidation dress code doesn't apply to young tiny women. Wear a long tshirt or tank top over your skimpy sports bra. And go eat a burger and fries. UGHH. Maybe have some planet fitness tank tops and ask those girls to put it on.
4. Overall nice place to go. Have no intentions of quitting this gym.

I have an issue with the corporate structure, that is to say planet fitness is solely interested in profit margins, and making share holders happy, a gym with a self defeating agenda,pizza and bagels being served, ( Tootsie rolls really )high in calorie low in nutrition and please start having a classes solely devoted to proper training techniques the correct way to exercise on each machine, and Free weights so customers don't get injured, sorry for the tangent
