The gym is nice enough, could get the updated machines (hip thrust). More annoyed with the fact that they refuse to give me a tag to scan because “we only have a few”.
The smith machines need to be oiled as well and then staff say “this is how they’ve always been”.

It needs to be bigger for starters. They have an obsene # of elipticals which mostly stay empty, only 4 stair climbers that are ALWAYS in use, treadmills often nearly full. Need to change out half the elipticals for more stair climbers and treadmills. They don't repair machines in a timely manner. The building is clean. The staff members are helpful and friendly.

I travel alot for work and chose this location on my way to a job site. Got there at 5am and no one was here. They did not open until 6am. Be careful when traveling and choosing this location. I feel bad people that walk to this gym and show up to a locked door 😞

I joined this location when they first opened and have been a member ever since. For the most part, the gym is great. Nice selection of equipment for a variety of exercise. I also think that for a brand that is all inclusive, women should not be allowed to be in the gym in their sport bras. A shirt should be required. Staff is fine (some happier and more pleasant than others). My black card amenities I pay for sadly I am unable to use most of the time because they are in use. I love that the business is thriving but I would like to be able to use what I pay for on every visit. Yes, this is an uncontrollable, but still an inconvenient. Besides that is been fine so far.

*response to PF that responded… I am aware of the dress code, I’m not the one in a bra, thank you. Your staff should enforce it. It’s uncomfortable to have to see half naked women exercising.

Back with an update. It still has all the stuff you need to workout, and enjoy black card membership perks. The hot water situation? Still hasn't changed. I've talked with the employees to see if I just needed to ask them to prep the hot water, or something. No. The hot water isn't there because they're down to a single hot water tank, and it's been the situation since before last week Wednesday (1/15). It doesn't take over two weeks to get water tanks repaired, or replaced. Obvious penny pinching is being done by the owner at the customer's expense. Good luck getting a hot shower at this location! Cause when someone flushes, whatever hot water you had is gone, and it won't be coming back for the foreseeable future.

I am welcomed by the staff every time i visit the club. They were helpful in setting up a program for me to follow to achieve my goals. The atmoshere relaxes me so i can workout comfortably. I look forward to learning some of the other equipment to give me a full body workout. I enjoy going to planet fitness. Its my go to gym.

People holding their own exercise class and invading and taking over the space in the stretching and PF 360 area every morning, at 5am, during peak hours. They take all the weights and use most of the space, pushing other people out. They're even taking the weights from the weight lifting area. Planet Fitness isn't equipped for classes, especially ones that aren't even part of Planet Fitness. It's like a free-for-all and fitness business for those not wanting to pay a lease for their own business. This group takes over the gym, as if it's their gym and nobody else matters. It's pissing a bunch of us off that actually SHARE the gym and don't hog the weights and equipment. Planet Fitness staff and management does nothing about it, even though people have complained.

I hit the wrong amount of stars by mistake, & my phone rang. Forgot to come back & fix. I do like the gym. Clean, nice environment. However very disappointed about a few things, & this is only my 1st membership to any, ever. When I first signed up, I asked the lady what the Black Card covered. I was told it was access to EVERYTHING in the establishment, & my guest would get the same. The first TWO visits, myself & my guest were allowed use of the massage equipment. The next time, we were both ready to go in, & I was told my guest could not, I am NOT happy with this, as it was extremely misleading. We bought one full year outright, & the reason was thinking full access for both to everything as we were told. Your staff should all know how things work & follow accordingly. There's really nothing short of following up w/ what we were originally told about the use of the gym, & letting my guest resume black card status, as I have, that would rectify this.
Also, he had an appointment for a Design your own program one day last week. The trainer was sick, I understand this but I never got a call. I rushed around, having a lot to do, all morning & got there on time only to find out she wasn't there. Very disorganized & unprofessional in these ways...

I tried their red light therapy and sauna beds, great quality equipment, but it was my first time using them and there was a mistake that led to me getting severely burned, and when I tried to discuss it with the manager Dave, he got quickly defensive and blamed me. I was NOT trying to be confrontational but he immediately turned it on me for staying in the bed too long on my first time, and even shamed me for not knowing better, even though I clearly stated it was my first time and I didn't know how it worked. I thought he was helping me, but he let it happen and then blamed me. They could have taken some responsibility for not informing me about how to use it on your first time, but they went far in the other direction instead and made me out to be an idiot, instead of informing me about the safe and proper usage of their equipment.

I've been wanting to go to a gym for a long time.. remodeling bathroom force me to do so. I have to say Planet Fitness is awesome the employees and customers as well! It is clean and affordable and truly no judgment! It has truly changed my stress level 100% to 50%.. I can't picture myself not going now! I think Planet Fitness is great - it's a diverse gym for only $10 per month and a $50 yearly fee and you can't beat that! I love that there is a new Planet Fitness in Sturbridge and this gym has a lot of different equipment and workout areas. They have treadmills, ellipticals, cross trainers, arc trainers, stair climbers and more. There is also two free-weight sections, a variety of weight machines, a 30-minute express HIIT circuit trainingworkout area (where you go from weight machine to cardio by following the prompts of a green and red light), and also a crossfit, full body, ab and stretch area! Also, there's always plenty of machines when I go in the mornings and you never have to wait for a machine. Their bathrooms are nice and have lockers and showers. It's also very clean and the staff is always dusting and cleaning the machines and equipment. Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful! I also love that there is a diversity of people from athletic to just starting out, from big to small, young to old and it truly seems like a "no judgement" zone. If you're looking to get started with an exercise routine and improve your quality of life, then start here! You can't beat the price!

leaving one star for the simple fact i didn’t get to go in. as a truck driver i have the black card membership so i can access locations in the 48 states i travel. it’s bad enough all locations aren’t 24/7. i arrived at this location at 6:30pm on saturday as i didn’t check the hours of operation. a young blind head lady was walking up to the door as i was coming up. she looking at me and proceeded to the outer door and looked as if she locked it and immediately turned around and walked off. i thought if they were closing she would have at least opened the door and said “were closing”. so i proceeded up to the door only to pull and confirm it was locked. she just stared at me momentarily from behind the front desk without saying anything or making any gestures. i should have known by her facial expression walking up to and away from the door. this really upset me as it is hard to stay healthy as a truck driver with poor access to quality and exercise driving 11hr days and limited food selection at truck stops. i’m very disappointed at the customer service today. i will definitely be signing up for anytime fitness first thing in the morning

I liked it a lot more than I expected actually. The people are super nice and polite and everyone is friendly. (Including members)

The gym is super clean and there’s no damaged equipment that I saw.

For planet fitness standards on gym equipment they have a lot.

If you’re budget is low and you live in the area, don’t keep yourself from a healthy workout. Come in, get yourself a black membership and join the gym. You’ll thank yourself for it and can thank me later.

There was no reason to open a gym thats not 24/7 when we had a great an reliable gym right in the same plaza that offered people the ability to work out whenever they had to time to not make people make a schedule for when they are gonna work out because they wont have time to make it their because by the time most people are done with their work days its closed and people cant go get their exercise in.
