Most of the reviews are very positive; unfortunately, my experience last week (9/8–13) was far from it. I want to highlight the state of the bathrooms, which is deplorable, for two reasons: the people who attend the gym have no sense of cleanliness, and most importantly, the gym staff does not periodically check the bathrooms to maintain a clean and sanitary area.

Equally concerning is the lack of professionalism and customer service at the front desk. Every staff member I interacted with showed little to no charisma, courtesy, or basic manners. They seemed disinterested in helping, and at times, their tone came across as dismissive or outright rude, even when asked the simplest of questions. For a place that prides itself on community and wellness, this kind of attitude is extremely discouraging.

The combination of poor facility maintenance and inadequate customer service makes it difficult to recommend this gym, despite its otherwise positive reviews

Overall, a well-run PF.

Facility: showers, toilets, sinks, machines, water fountains, TVs, etc. are generally clean and well-maintained.

Staff: some staff turnover, but mostly a solid crew of familiar faces who are courteous and responsive. GM is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Some positives:
- lots of cardio and strength-training machines
- good-sized stretching area with lots of additional equipment
- staff is doing a good job keeping the place clean and maintained

Some negatives:
- very busy location. overrun with teenagers in the summertime
- locker rooms have few benches for some reason
- overhead music is really loud
- plaza itself is noticeably scuzzy (lots of trash, bugs and dirt)

So far walking in it’s extremely clean very spacious. The equipment is well-maintained. They have the hack squad here. There are a few different other leg machines that I haven’t seen at other gyms overall definitely my second favorite. I am on a Sunday so it’s nice and quiet in the morning. I’ll have to check it out during the week and see how busy it really gets.

Super clean, especially in the bathrooms. Toilet paper well stocked. Equipment, well stocked, as well as the paper towels and sanitizing equipment… My only concern is the water fountain had “do not use” signs without ETA on when they would be fixed… And there should probably also be another sign regarding the expected delay on the hydromassage beds since that length of a wait is unusual at the other planet fitnesses that I’ve been to. Overall, a great experience as your facility is one of the better Planet Fitnesses that I’ve been to.

As a member of PF, I am so happy to have such a clean, friendly facility so close.

The equipment is well kept and everyone e is so welcoming from reception to clientele. U really enjoy the simplicity of walking in, scanning my app and getting down to business.

Water filtration system was out of order, no water available. I didn't realize this until after extensive cardio workout. Asked front desk if they had water available...in that I have a health condition. They sd only for sale (I don't go to gym with wallet) Told them I needed a water for health condition and was treated very rudely by staff (very arrogant young girl with significant attitude problem) I told them I wanted to speak to mgr/owner. She told me his was out sick and had bigger problems to worry about.. I sd have him call me or I'll call BOH...he called me the next day and he was not much better....rather than recognizing situation and being apologetic that facilities were in disrepair and addressing with staff how to treat customers, he was more concerned about collecting the lousy $1…they should care about safety of clients. Obviously a very inexperienced business owner.... Let’s be real...30 pack of water costs $3...treat clients right and take responsibility.

UPDATE ....It hasn't gotten better!

The equipment is often in disrepair, and what's worse is that broken machines are left untouched for weeks.
The cleanliness of the bathrooms is another issue. They are frequently filthy, which is unacceptable for a place where hygiene should be a priority. The water fountain is also a problem - the water tastes terrible, clearly due to an unchanged filter (tested it at 185ppm impurities vs my home filtration of 7 ppm!) . It's a health concern that should be addressed immediately.
Temperature control in the gym is poor as well, making workouts uncomfortable. Sometimes it's way too hot or too cold. It seems like basic maintenance and upkeep are being neglected here. I expected much more from Planet Fitness and will be looking for other gym options if these issues aren't resolved soon.

Visited Monday 9/23/24 at opening (5am, because weekend hours SUCK... I was going to the Lincoln st location because it opened at 4, but I was already next to this one.

So far the inside is immaculate. This has nothing to do with PF, but the outside shopping center and parking lot is littered with trash which is kind of grungy.

Showers are small. I came here to tan, shower and get ready for a drive back to Pennsylvania. I'd go elsewhere if you're on the road and looking for a spacious locker room. Water is hot, so that's a plus.

No front desk attendant. I scoped the machines, then locker room- no employees. Needed to get set up on a tanning bed. If you can't find anyone, you call.
While calling, I walked into the black card spa and found PF staff... on the hydromassage. He was fumbling to answer the phone when I further interrupted his remunerative repose to ask about tanning.

I get middle of the night and leaving a sign on the desk, but right at Monday morning opening? Come on dude. First time seeing that happen.

Ladies beware, the days of “no gymtimidation” at planet fitness are over. This particular location is less than two years old. The ladies room is always dirty. There are 3 sinks and the middle one is broken. The sink area is constantly dirty because there are only hand dryers and no paper towels.The stalls frequently had no toilet paper. It’s mostly male staff. I have seen a female employee maybe 10 times, in my 8 months at this location. That means no one ever checks the ladies room. In the 8 months I have been there I have seen someone cleaning in the gym twice.
I have been a member of Planet Fitness for over 5 years. I switched to the Westborough location in October. There was one member who was acting creepy towards me. He would try to talk to me, follow me around, and he would stare at me constantly. I tried changing my time and routine to no avail. I went to the manager(Nigel) and told him what was going on. He told me there was nothing he could do about it unless he saw it , but did nothing to try and catch him. It wasn’t until another member asked Nigel why he wasn’t doing anything about it , that Nigel actually spoke to the creeper. The next time I was at the gym, the creeper planted himself on a machine(without ever using it) and stared at me the whole time I was on a treadmill. When I got off, I spoke to Nigel again. I told him it was continuing and he snapped that there was nothing he could do. I emailed corporate and it took more than 3 days for the regional manager to get back to me. By that time, I had joined another gym. Corporate ended up refunding me for the last month because management mishandled the situation. During the time this was going on, I also spoke to Ray ( an employee)about the situation. He suggested I transfer. The culture in this gym is not very women friendly. I would not recommend joining this gym.

It's brand new, so it's extremely clean, and it wasn't crowded. The locker rooms are nice and provide ample space. The layout was different than most PF that I've been to, so that was interesting. The only issue I saw was some fit and finish - the shower I was in was already leaking and shooting out the nozzle weirdly, actually spraying a stream of water over the shower curtain.

My regular PF is updating machines, and is located in the same place as my office, so this won't be my regular spot, but I would recommend for those in the area, and I would go back if mine wasn't available.

I was regular member at Westborough PF for about 4 months before I moved. New facility opened end of 2022. New machines and fairly clean, at times bottles were empty or broken. Never had a problem with a person there. Mat area is limited. Plenty of safe parking. No hidden fees, easy to cancel. In my opinion Black Card is a rip off. You can do some serious sustainable damage to loose weight here with a routine.

Other locations allow black card holders guest to use all the amenities including the massage chairs but this location has their own rules as per the manager and they don't allow guests to use the massage chairs which they don't have anything to show as a proof they make their own rules :(

Connect your Apple Watch to the cardio machines to track your workout. Very accommodating staff. Always helpful, place is clean. I have to say this place is not for serious workout enthusiasts but that’s not how planet fitnesses are. The free weights are limited with dumbbells only going up to 75 pounds and no stand alone barbells. Great cardio equipment and massage chairs!
