It's very disappointing they don't have a scale. Every gym I have ever been a member of has had a scale until this one. I had a significant amount of weight loss over a period of time. I thought I was losing weight but with no scale at the gym I was not able to confirm it until my annual physical. My doctor said the weight loss was alarming and ordered a full battery of tests. I wish I had known sooner. Here's a list of diseases associated with weight changes.

According to google the no scale policy at Planet Fitness has something to do with the judgment free zone. The reader can make their own call as to whether this is a sensible policy that advocates for good health.

As for the gym itself, it's adequate. You can get a workout in but you're probably only going there to save a few bucks and/or convenience rather than the quality of the gym. There is no bench press or squat rack but plenty of dumbbells and cardio machines. The staff is friendly and capable.

This location has 2 hydro massage chairs, 2 massage chairs, 2 tanning rooms, and no total body enhancement machine. 4 Smith machines. Plenty of cardio options. It is very clean and the staff is very pleasant. I always forget that it's located at the back of the lot and has two flights of stairs to get there. Still one of my favorites to visit when I'm near.

Cancelled my membership last year as I felt this gym was going down hill. But a year later I came back and refuse to try any another gym again. The updated machines, newly painted ceilings, and layout of the gym provides a comforting atmosphere. Also the extensive amount of windows offers a bright/invigorating feeling. Of course there will always be your routine bathroom issues and unclean machines, but feel this gym got it together and will try harder to maintain overall customer excellence.

Terrell is the best!!! He always greets me with a smile and wishes my safety and wellness!!! Best weekend worker by a mile and I doubt you’ll find anyone better! He’s a very diligent worker and I’m always seeing him clean like there’s no tomorrow and on top of that even though a lot of the issues in the gym aren’t his fault he always makes sure to apologize on behalf of planet fitness!! One more thing that kid Trevor is great too he’s newer and sometimes he may make mistakes but he always tries his hardest and he’s a cleaning machine 👍🏽

Never had issues with the bathroom, although haven't showered there, the folks at the front desk always say hello and goodbye. The equipment is spread out and placed well. I see staff go through and clean the cardio equipment, never had issues with "misplaced" weights. My guess is most these negative reviews, especially badly worded, are spam or trolls

Two stars for the nice staff but there is no hot water for showers. This has been a sustained problem for months. If you shower at home great. If you are depending on showering at the Wilmington MA site go to another club. That is what many of us do now.

Smallest planet fitness with a poor layout of equipment. People cut right through the bikes since there is no open isle. Music is too loud. Temperature is too warm, one thermostat said it was 80 in there. No airflow. A few rude guests hovering waiting for you to finish your sets.
Staff did not acknowledge me as I entered or left.

No owner you report my reviw to club management and tell them to turn down the music and the temperature!!

Yes, one star for two reasons.

1. When will the management listen to people and get the club another Pectoral Fly machine?

2. The staff are useless.

2.1 No one greets you nor say have a good day. Why not give a fake smile with a greeting and a fake wish while we are leaving?
2.2 They are dopamine addicts, always on their phones. And by being on their phones,
A. They aren't restocking the cleaning paper rolls nor the bathroom soap dispenser.
B. They aren't checking if weights are where they should be.
C. They don't move in the gym to check if anyone needs help or if there's something to clean or if someone overusing the 30-minute Circuit machines.

If this is how the management want their staff to be. Then, invest in AI robots instead of wasting money on paying phone addicts.

Been a member here for almost 6 years. Love the staff. Bathrooms are always clean. The TVs are old, and for weeks on end, there’s no audio. I don’t bring my phone in, so I enjoy watching AND listening to a TV show on the treadmill and bike, a big drag to have to read the subtitles. The ceiling leaks a lot, there are pails and machines out of order because of the leaks. They need to invest some money in the gym!

Showers are just there for looks and to say they have them. Never thought I would shower at planet fitness but bathroom is being remodeled and used the shower after working out. Was better off showering in a puddle. No hot water. But that’s not the worst part, water pressure is literally stronger in my kitchen sink and that’s not an exaggeration. Shower head/ pipes violently shake.

This place was great when it was 24 hours. For people who work early (or late) this was the best option. When Covid put restrictions on everything they understandably went to "temporary" hours of 5am to 10pm. Now the restrictions have been lifted for quite a while, but the hours stay the same. Even with a sign on the entrance that says they're open 24 hours. Now the gym is crowded at 5am (people waiting at the door) with members who used to be able to get there much earlier to workout before heading to work. Now the 4am crowd is there with the 5am crowd. Creating a cluster F when trying to get a bench or machine.
Combine this with the fact that at least one shower is usually out of order can make the situation even worse.
They never had an issue with staffing or maintenance before.
Seems like there's no real effort to return it to the state that made it a perfect fit for everyone's schedule. Hope they prove me wrong.

The place is small, the parking area is also small compared to other planet fitness I been to, it can be crowded at time. Mostly at the free weight area. There's a 30 minute work out area that no one really use. If they would re-arrange those area it would look less crowded. They need to add some protein shake for purchase. I joined this Planet Fitness a few weeks ago even though I do not live in this town. The reason is that it is worth it! The facility is very good. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They greet the members upon entry and is helpful. The equipment is clean and organized. I saw the staff lifting the equipment up to clean and wipe them down! It is very good hygienic practice!

I have been a member at this Planet Fitness for a few years, which now I deeply regret. Many times I found the gym restroom to be completely filthy even after the renovation this problem was still noticeable at this gym.

Since COVID-19 started I had to call several times for reimbursement even after I requested that my account be frozen until I am sure that the virus is no longer a threat. After being told I would not be charged anything, my account was charged again For the yearly deduction of $39. I feel this is completely unfair since I have not use this facility in over a year. After Contacting The corporate office, they informed me that this is handled on the local level since it is a franchise. So, after talking to the manager on the phone, he told me there was nothing that could be done about this charge in if I wanted to cancel my membership I need to come in to the facility.

I drove a distance of 15 miles in order to get to this gym through the snow and when I talk to this manager the first thing he said is can this wait… Terrible customer service. After explaining that this couldn’t wait and I would like a reimbursement since I have not use the gym, he said that I cannot reimburse you since this is a standard charge for all
members.

If you’re not aware that this franchise will not reimburse you, I hope this message will help you to cancel if need be before the yearly deadline. I will also encourage you to check your account and make sure that you were not being charge monthly fees if you have requested for your account to be frozen.

If I ever choose to use a planet fitness again, it most certainly will not be at this location. Throughout the years I have been a planet fitness member. At various locations I’ve had great experiences. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the location in Wilmington Massachusetts. I truly hope they do better not only with customer service, but also with cleaning their facility.

Great location. I went today (08/28/20) between 2:00 and 3:00 and there was nobody there. It's very clean and tidy, well organized. VERY HYGIENIC, which definitely matters now with the Coronavirus BS going on. It's on the second floor of an industrial park building but it has an elevator for anyone who requires it.

I've been to a bunch of Planet Fitness gyms and always have a decent time but this one in Wilmington is definitely a cut above. Great employees, highly recommend this gym if you live in the area.

Clean and well-kept. Friendly staff and patrons. Lots of space and tons of exercise apparatus. Free pizza the first Monday of every month. In sum, it has virtually everything you could wish for- and it's open 24 hours a day. The gym is pretty good for a Pf. The locker room is clean (albeit smelly >_<), the weight area is stocked decent enough (but i go late at night so no one is there, you might run in to not having enough 45s when it's busy), and the staff is friendly. I don't really agree with the whole Pf motto, but this location is pretty good.
