I like the small class size & rotating training - it becomes very efficient. You don't wait for a machine or equipment, just do it. The intensity is good too - not exhausting but definitely works up the heart rate. Not boring at all. Even once a week, I see progress. 3 months in and I am able to strengthen arms by moving from 12.5 LB to 22.5 LB, push up goes from 0 to 2 on good days.

If your thinking about it do it. The best fitness decision I've ever made was joining Rise Fitness. Friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable are only a few of many adjectives I would use to describe them. Workouts are as challenging as you make them and all instructors make adjustments depending on Fitness level or specific injury. Everyone there is focused on getting stronger for health or lifestyle reasons and I always look forward to workout with other members. Everyone is very friendly and they make it a lot of fun. I'm happy to be apart of this growing community of like minded people.

Group training is really fun in this setting, and Colin always keeps me motivated. I feel stronger and find that I have less aches and pains than before. Try it out… You won’t be disappointed.

Don't hate it! I am famous for paying for gym memberships and not going. Not here. There are only 3 trainers so they get to know you. Know your injuries/weak areas and help you to push through or modify as needed. With small groups (no more than 6) they are able to consistently help when your form is off. The routine switches up often which keep it challenging and interesting. The members are all people interested in optimizing their health in later years and the trainers work hard to make sure that goal is met. If your goal is to avoid the pitfalls of aging and live an active life, then you must try this fitness center.

I can’t say enough good things! Owner and team of trainers so smart encouraging and easy to work with. Really thoughtful workouts that don’t get boring and you don’t dread doing LOL. Amazingly easy way to stay consistent - with online scheduling. You pick a slot online and reserve it. So when the time comes you feel you have to go! And always feel good that you did. I have never found a place/system that works so well to keep you on track. Absolutely love it.

While I’ve been an athlete for decades, I’ve always focused on cardio, so I needed some help guiding me through a new strength and flexibility routine. I really enjoy these small workout groups. And the way the hour is divided into sets not only makes the time go by quickly but almost makes it feel like a game. You’re never doing any one thing long enough to be miserable.

I have never been comfortable lifting weights at a traditional gym, but I'm over 40 and I know that this is really important. At Rise, I am able to do it in a clean, comfortable, welcoming environment where there is no judgement or competition! The trainers are SO good at what they do, and the class times fit into my busy schedule! Rise Fitness with Colin and his team is a major win for me. Last December I finally got diagnosed with a torn hamstring at age 70 from ADDICTIVELY playing Pickleball!
My PT Mike at Motion Works recommended Colin for Strength Training!
It is the huge piece of the puzzle that was missing! I ad given up my other addiction SUGAR over a year ago and my weight and muscle mass plummeted . I am healthy now and after 2 months at Rise I am seriously getting stronger. A big win is the sessions are 50 minutes incorporating all muscles! For the first time ever I suit up and show up without fighting myself. The classes are small and I receive all the attention I need and more. The people in my classes are my new friends!!!

Rise Fitness has changed my life in such positive ways! The owner Colin is fantastic and extremely knowledgeable! I am over 40 and not a fan of exersize and have tried it all! Honestly, I expected the same results as in the past... I like it for 2 months, then stop. I always look forward to coming to workout! I see results and we don't go super hard, but its still a workout! Its awesome! Colin and Keith (the new coach- so great too), are supportive and flexible if life happens and I can't make a session. Its the perfect balance for a mom on the go who wants the energy, the strength to play with the kids (and keep up with them) and confidence to do life everyday! I am over 65 and I have had several health issues and injuries over the past few years. Due to all these issues, it was difficult for me to work out. I had to attend physical therapy a number of times so I could even be prepared to go to gym. While going to get a mani/pedi, I noticed Rise Fitness. I went in and spoke to him about my myriad health issues and injuries. He assured me that he could work with me to get stronger and not aggravate my injuries. He offered free sessions so I could experience the workout. I was impressed and I signed up for 2 sessions a week. I have been working with Colin for about 2 months and I am getting stronger. He ensures that the exercises are not aggravating my injuries. He is knowledgeable, pushes you to achieve but not to over do it. I like having a scheduled time, working out with people who are similar ages and working with a knowledgeable trainer. I found that with Colin at Rise.

This is not just some gym, it’s a community. That was a very important factor to me when I was shopping around. I want to know the people and have support as well as camaraderie. Fitness is more fun when you have good surroundings. We are also taught that there is a difference between working out (to feel tired) and training (to improve). We are training our bodies to be more lean, balanced, and flexible.
The facility is clean, bright, and has just the right amount of equipment to really put in the work.
I do group sessions but I am able to tailor it to my needs and push myself by amount of reps and weights.
Finally, these are sessions that can be done at home and we are encouraged and supported to do home trainings.

I like the personal attention to know that I am doing the exercises right. It’s very welcoming there regardless of ability. In the short time I have been there I feel so much better and I am always being challenged with heavier weights or more reps. I like someone telling me the weights I need to use. Colin makes the workouts both fun and challenging, with a lot of variety. He regularly modifies the workouts for each exerciser. The time flies by. I can't believe how much progress I've made in just a few weeks.

As a senior citizen determined to stay strong and healthy, I started using the Rise Fitness app about 10 months ago. While I was seeing positive results, I was always concerned that I might injure myself by pushing too hard or moving incorrectly. When the studio opened in Sharon, MA a month and a half ago, I signed up for small in-person classes and am happy that I did. I find working out with a few other participants is much more enjoyable than working alone in my basement. I also feel much safer knowing that there is a watchful set of eyes making sure that I am not moving in a way that could cause injury. I truly believe that I am in better shape and stronger now at age 72 than I was 10 or 15 years ago all thanks to Colin at Rise Fitness.

I highly recommend Colin. I have trained one on one with Colin as well as in small group sessions. For the one on one sessions Colin took the time to learn my goals and then designed programs to help me achieve them. When training with Colin he always clearly explains the point of each exercise and then carefully observes to make sure they are done properly. I appreciate that he provides materials that made it easy to repeat the programs on my own.

Last year, when I tore my ACL and miniscus while skiing and needed specialized training I knew that I could count on Colin. Colin's expertise and experience with sports medicine was invaluable and he always carefully monitored how my knee was responding and progressing and would modify excercises accordingly. Thanks to the training program Colin designed, combined with Colin's upbeat attitude and professionalism, my knee is better and ready for skiing.

Colin has been providing me with personalized monthly programming for just over a year. I've been working with Colin and Rise Fitness for about 6 months and highly recommend. I had previously worked out on my own and was in semi-decent shape but struggled as I've gotten older (50!) and my self-guided plan was no longer effective.
