This event was Absolutely amazing to say the least. From production, music, lighting, host, and guest speakers were all outstanding. I was not expecting much given the fact that the event was virtual, but oh was I wrong! We felt as though we were in the same room. Looking forward to rooted essence next event signed me up now.

Rooted Essence is proving itself to be a Mecca for dance. I witnessed so much during their grand opening ranging from their selections of music, dancers and dance styles. Every dance invoked emotion and every dancer left it all on stage.

Moriah was inspirational and I really appreciate her coming to Springfield college and sharing her knowledge and trip to Africa with us. This was a great example of what giving back to our community looks and Iβm grateful to have been apart of the head wrap work shopβ€οΈ #blackhistorymonth

It was a great event but it started late because the technology was not working but the head wrap portion of the night was fun and full of laughs.

Im from Springfield college and we usually donβt have many cultural activities and Moriah brought head wrapping history and activity to us and I Loved It. It was perfect for black history month and just something to remind us of how beautiful our culture is & how we should embrace it more β€οΈβ€οΈ.

Our school had Rooted Essence come in for a headwrap workshop and Moriah was an absolute joy to work with! She shared the background history and significance of headwrap in African and African American culture. Definitely recommend!

Working with Miss Moriah was a transformative experience for me both physically and spiritually. Her work ethic and passion are contagious. She sees the potential and power in each on of her students and pushes them to fulfill it. As someone who loves dance but hasn't had extensive training, her style and drive inspired me to push myself to a level of artistry I didn't think was possible for someone like me. Her lessons and love continue to grow in me everyday. I would recommend her to any and all artists ready to uncover their "rooted essence".
