One of the most beautiful, soulful studios in New England. I love this studio and the people who run it, Jaishree and Kalánidhi, masterful teachers and community leaders.

I love it at Sanctuary. It has changed my entire way of existing...there is so much love, acceptance, and understanding. It's not just an exercise space or regular old studio...it's truly as the name says...a sanctuary.

You know the feeling in your gut that you get when something feels right? There is truly something special about Sanctuary, Center for Yoga and Healing. I’m fairly new on my yoga journey and have tried a handful of places. After driving by a couple of times I knew I needed to check out their website. This is so much more than yoga. If you are on the path to self-discovery, this is the place for you! The workshop selection is so exciting. Reiki, yoga teacher training, gong bath, and even mindfulness for children are just a few of the innovative classes and workshops offered here.
I sent an email asking for a little more information. JaiShree and Kalanidhi answered my questions thoroughly and even offered a couple of free gifts. A 20 minute soul-mapping session as well as a beautifully written e-book crafted by JaiShree. This gives an honest in-depth glimpse into her own journey as well as some insight into the practice. Her book is a gem and I was truly captivated and inspired! I felt like she was already a dear friend even before I met her.
The informative email, free goodies, and personal phone call pretty much had me sold on Sanctuary but the final convincer was checking out the studio for my first class. The space is warm and inviting and tastefully decorated. I arrived a few minutes early and was able to chat with the woman at the front desk. She was so kind and sweet and truly a reflection of what their community is about.
JaiShree and Kalanidhi arrived a few minutes later with their 12 week old daughter Narayani. Such a beautiful family! They are even more endearing in person! What a blessing it was to hold that precious baby! It truly made my day
The Vinyasa class was led by JaiShree and let me tell you, she is a fantastic teacher. She adapted the class based on knowing what her students needed. She was able to correct my somewhat clumsy positions and really knew how to bring the heat! I was sore the next day in the best way! This was exactly what I was looking for. After class, Jaishree sat and took the time to talk with me about any questions I had. Her beauty radiates both outside and within. Not only did I become a member, I have also enrolled into the yoga teacher training that is offered in May. I drove away that day truly feeling like part of a family. A family dedicated to the health and well-being of all of their students.
The restorative class led by Kalanidhi was an amazing experience. As an accomplished musician, he soothed the class with his cello, other sound healing modalities and reiki. It was like an hour long blissful meditation.
You owe it to yourself to give this place a try! I am excited to see what the future of Sanctuary holds as they continue to help many more discover the best versions of themselves.
Lots of Love and Light,
Katie Mason
