The South Shore Sports Center is temporarily closed due to a fire. We’re incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, and we extend our thanks to the first responders for their quick and professional response.

We had our son’s fourth birthday party at Kids World last week. My husband and I were INCREDIBLY impressed throughout the entire planning process. Kim in the front office is kind, detail oriented and very clear about all of the offerings the SSSC has. The day of, my husband and I were blown away by the caliber of customer service the staff provided. Dylan was our assigned “party manager” and could not have made our lives easier. Everything from giving out cake, pizza and drinks to 30 kids, to answering every question with kindness and ease, to helping my husband load all of the presents and gear into our truck in the pouring rain, we felt like we were at a five star resort. The bartender was extremely accommodating and kind as well. Needless to say, we will definitely be celebrating more birthdays at Kids World in the future!

The bar/food area upstairs is really nice, especially since it’s been redone! Chris, the bartender (who also does a little bit of everything for the Sportscenter) is great! He’s super helpful and always making sure customers have the best experience!

This is the place that always has hoops, soccer, lacrosse leagues going on. There is a small bar restaurant up stairs for after the game and a proshop for everything else you need. Batting cages and more. Def check it out!

Lacrosse arena could be improved, turf kept coming up on the players. Other activities at facilities were distracting during game. Score board did not work during entire tournament. Very disappointing.

Kids World is a great place for a party, don't get me wrong, but the price is totally not worth it. I was astounded at the price point for 50 minutes in the play area and a half hour in the lounge. $866. Absurd. It makes me feel sad that most families won't be able to afford this for a very short party and just an indoor space. Don't be fooled by the price they list online.

Kids world toys need an update for sure. The toys really only appeal to babies and one year olds. My 3 year old was bored. I love that they are caged in and safe but they need new toys and to wipe down toys and floor. Toys were visibly dirty and our socks were black when we left.

Place has good indoor turf for soccer and decent basketball court. However they need to get better refs who actually run up and down the field or are in better shape for soccer games and not the same old man who barley has a pulse.
Also didn't like the racist undertone that me and my friends felt from one of the workers specifically an older white lady with salt/pepper hair. My friends and I were watching the basketball game by the snack shop and were in a passionate discussion about who the best basketball players of all time are when she rudely interrupts us and interjects herself in our circle and asks us to take the conversation outside!!
Here is the issue. It's a SPORTS Facility!!! YOU HAVE A BAR UPSTAIRS!!! You CAME into our circle, you SEE us in a private conversation, the place is still obviously OPEN because there is a game going on and because YOUR SCARED you give us ATTITUDE and ask us to take our conversation outside as if we don't PAY to PLAY. NEWS FLASH It's not our job to make you feel comfortable. ALSO Here is some advice DON"T work in a SPORTS REC/ OR WORK the night shift if you can't handle loud conversation or get scared of black males!!!!

Nice little place....bit outdated, they definitely need to remodel. At least the part I was in with my daughter while she played tots soccer. Very hot inside and she is only 3 1/2. Would like to see a more modern sports center.

They offer so many programs (which are great) but as a facility that I go to with young children there is a lot of room for improvement, such as:
1) Facilities are showing a lot of wear and tear, some investment would be great
2) They seem understaffed during the weekdays and the staff seem to ALWAYS be on their phones. It should not take 20 minutes for me to flag someone down to sell me a bag of popcorn (especially frustrating if going there with young kids to their weekday soccer programs or kids play sessions)
3) In the summer, beware of mosquitoes INSIDE! When it gets hot in the evenings they open up all the doors to the facilities and mosquitoes swarm in, I was eaten alive. They linger there for days, so even if the doors are close you're still getting swarmed.
I really liked this facility for a time, but have found that they seem to be OK with the status quo and have not been investing in their staff and or facilities.
