SPENGA's format of 20 minutes of Spin, 20 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of yoga combines the three pillars of fitness all in one 60-minute group training workout. I started Spenga July 19,2025. At the time i was going to two other gyms but happened to see it advertised a lot on social media. i decided to try it out even though i already belonged to two places. BEST decision i ever made!! It is a fun, great community. I am seeing the results in my body i’ve been wanting for years! I look forward to every class i go to and i’m still trying new classes😁. 10/10 i highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a healthier lifestyle! Every instructor is phenomenal and you won’t be disappointed!

I joined SPENGA after watching my wife over the course of months, become more toned, and free herself of the aches and pains we associate with aging. We went on a long bike ride together recently that took all I had, and she told me that it was « nothing » to her!
The sessions are the perfect cocktail of cardio, strengthening and stretching - lots of variety, a whole body workout. I look forward to getting stronger and gaining endurance to help my running. The community is welcoming - jump in!

Started SPENGA last week, just finished my 3rd class. I love it! Spenga classes: Having 20 min of Spin, followed by 20 min of strength, ending with 20 min of yoga is just awesome. I feel the burn, leave there sweaty and motivated, back on track to a healthy body. The music is great for pushing yourself in Spin, and the instructors are friendly and helpful. There are videos overhead during strength so you can follow along, and there are no mirrors so you don’t get that “all I see is me, everywhere” feeling that goes with gyms.
I can’t recommend it enough. I’m going to try out all the other classes, too. They offer a few different memberships, including a 10 class offering, which is perfect for me.

Spenga really pushes me to give my best workout every session. The instructors there really want everyone to reach their full potential. I really appreciate the modified workouts for people with lower back issues, for example, as I need to know all the ways to not hurt myself with strength training exercises. The instructors really take their time to make sure you are doing the proper workout and I like that they show you how to correct what you’re doing wrong. It’s a great community of people who are all just trying to live healthier lifestyles, no intimidation or feeling of judgement at the studio ever!

I’ve worked out for years and Spenga is the BEST place I’ve ever been! The spin at the beginning of class is very challenging. The strength is also very challenging where you choose your own weights to go through each circuit unless the class is using the TRX bands. Then comes Yoga . All sections of the class are taught by certified instructors who are all wonderful. My personal favorite is Britany😉!

SPENGA is my safe place. Yes, it's a killer workout, but it's so much more than that. It pushes me physically and mentally, and has been a huge part of keeping my head clear and my demons at bay. It's not just a gym, it's a community. I've brought friends, made friends, and feel supported every time I walk through the door. A love the aesthetic, the app, it’s super clean and most of all the staff. It’s hard to pick a favorite trainer because all of them have something great and extra great to offer! I’ve been coming to SPENGA for one month and so far I’ve met Britany, The Olivias, Kellie and Sarah and they are top! They have variations for you so you can feel comfortable if you have some limitations or you are just new in training.

Love Spenga! A friend introduced me and I joined after my first class. I’ve tried a few different classes and they’re all great, but what sets Spenga apart is their signature Spenga class with 20/20/20 minutes of spin, strength, and yoga. The gym is immaculate— and the staff cleans the equipment when you’re done with your workout which is a nice touch. The instructors are great, particularly Britany and Olivia! Their energy and kindness keep me signing up for another class of theirs. The front desk team is also always happy and greets you with a smile. I couldn’t feel more comfortable there! Five stars.

I’ve been a Spenga member since 2019 when it first opened! Every instructor pushes us with the right amount of “but also listen to your body”. There are always alternatives to strength and yoga exercises one can do if a body part cannot move the way class intends for it to.

I’m new to Massachusetts and I was looking for a place to work out and I found SPENGA. I’m so glad I did. All the instructors are great and everyone at the studio is so friendly. This is one of the best well-rounded workouts you can get anywhere! In these instructor-led classes you get cardio you get weight training and you get good stretching and yoga. All of the instructors are great and I mean that sincerely. But this isn't just a gym, it's a community. I'm in my '50s and have been doing this for almost 3 years and I'm probably in the best shape of my life. Last year with the support of the Spenga family, I completed my first duathlon. I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Spenga Marlborough. I decided to join when they first opened and it has been one of the best choices I have ever made for myself. There is a community feel at the studio that is unlike any other fitness center I have joined. Everyone, including the studio members, owner, fitness instructors and staff is welcoming and encouraging. The hybrid style workout meets all my fitness needs including cardio, strength training and stretching and mobility. Each workout is completely different so we are never bored, plus the schedule is interspersed with other fun fitness events and challenges that are super fun and build community. If you're searching for a solid workout in a friendly and non-judgmental atmosphere, SPENGA is the place for you! After an injury to my shoulder took me away from my regular kickboxing routine, I found myself looking for something new - something that would still leave me feeling energized, strong and at the top of my game while being cautious of my newfound limitations. SPENGA was it. The format of spin, weights and yoga are absolutely perfect for building my cardio while simultaneously strengthening my muscles, core and flexibility. I won't lie to you. I was a little intimidated at first. Spin and yoga were completely unfamiliar territory for me. But, the staff are amazing at breaking down the moves, encouraging members to give it their all, and helpful in suggesting modifications as necessary for each individual. It’s going to be difficult to capture all of the things that I love about this studio in one review, but here it goes! I have been a member of Spenga for a little over 2 years now and I am SO grateful to have found this community!
For anyone remotely thinking about giving this studio a shot - PLEASE come in and give one class a try! In my 180 classes taken to date, I’ve never done the same workout twice, and I always leave each session feeling like I gave it my all. These workouts are designed for all fitness levels, and the community is so supportive, so please don’t feel deterred that it’s a group fitness class! We’re all here to raise each other up!
I have had the privilege of taking at least one class with almost all of the instructors on the schedule, and every single one of them delivers a challenging (and sweaty!) “werkout” every single time. Through their leadership and encouragement, I have come so far in my fitness journey and developed so much strength, endurance and flexibility that I never would have been able to achieve on my own! And on a personal note, all of the instructors strive to get to know every member on a personal level. It has been such a joy getting to know this amazing group of people over the years and watch them achieve great things both in and out of the studio! (Ashlee, Amanda, Kellie, Sarah, Tricia, Norah, Holly, Angela, Steven, Britany - you guys absolutely rock!! Thank you for all of the hours you put in to supporting us all!!)

New idea, why not split your workout and see if there is a place that would work. Well, I found it. After my introduction of the studio and how my bike would be used, class was on. I met Nora(my instructor) and before I knew it my bike riding skills were put to the test. Twenty minutes felt like an hour! Sometimes you have to take your lumps in learning a new routine. But this was just part one of three! Strength was next on the agenda, now I know how strong I am, but I don’t want to push my limits. But still needing a challenge. It was there and I know I’m a work in progress, so I made some mental notes for next time. Part three was yoga. I’m used to heated yoga, while the room temperature was a relief. Slowing my heart rate and resting my body was called for. Looking forward to next time!

I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to “keep up”, but Brittany was so kind and encouraging and assured me how comfortable I would be. She was completely right! I’ve been going here since May, and absolutely love it! This studio has spin, strength and yoga- they have classes for each of those, but they also offer classes that offer 2 or more of those combined in a single class. My favorite format is the SPENGA format- 20 mins of each makes for an amazing class.

The ambience and vibe is incredibly motivating and engaging. From lights, to decor, to how the equipment is layed for an effective class, and the music! The music is perfectly picked out to motivate and go with the format of that day’s class.

Class formats vary from day to day, which I absolutely love and enjoy. Each instructor is meticulous in picking out the format, and directing the class, and take the time to talk through each move.

The community is incredibly friendly and inclusive! There’s engaging events that bring everyone together, along with competitive events and boot camps! The staff at the studio are also incredibly friendly, all in all- can’t say enough good things.

I absolutely made the right choice in joining SPENGA. I’ve now only been to two classes and feel the sense of community. Coming back to working out after having 2 kids in 2 years I was scared and apprehensive. SPENGA’s class schedule allows me to find time before the kids are up to have me time. Instructor Britney pretty much made the experience since she was welcoming, warm, and knowledgeable. I have been going to Spenga for almost a year and I absolutely love it. The community is so inclusive, supportive, and motivating. Each instructor clearly puts a lot of thought, time, and planning into their rides, and does a great job pushing us to our max. The instructors also pay close attention to our form and effort during strength, and keep us on track to become stronger. Yoga is a perfect way to end this workout and again the instructors clearly spend a lot of time planning the session to match the workouts in strength for best stretching and flexibility. I love using the app to track my progress and schedule my sessions. The price is right for what you get with each session; there’s a lot of good options for the schedule throughout the week. My teenage daughter started coming to Spenga shortly after me and loves it too. I can't say enough good things about SPENGA Marlborough! The SPENGA workouts are the perfect combination of cardio, strength training and yoga, and have been key to my success on my weight loss journey. Classes are fun and instructors are very professional and encouraging. They also use aromatherapy during the yoga class which is amazing! I'm impressed with all the things I've been capable of since I joined SPENGA. I feel welcomed and comfortable at the studio. There is a true sense of community that I've never experienced at other gyms. I have to add that their cleaning and safety measures during COVID times are way above any other gym I visited. Over the years, I have belonged to many fitness gyms. I usually end up leaving because I was unmotivated and board. This is not true with SPENGA. They have a wide variety of workouts to fit everyone’s goals. (Spin, strength, yoga, boot camp, personal training, mobility) The instructors are incredible and motivating. They provide support, encouragement and the motivation for you to become a better “You”.

A year ago, I could only jog a few blocks, now I’m able to run two miles. I have more energy, sleep better and have lost weight. It’s amazing to see the members transform their bodies and become stronger and healthier. I have met some many wonderful people and a found a great group of new friends.

I was impressed how they kept us engaged and motivated during COVID hosting virtual classes and Facebook challenges. Now we are back in the studio. I feel very comfortable in the gym. It was kept so clean pre COVID. And now, they have stepped up their protocols to keep everyone safe.

This place is magic. You will do things you never thought possible. I am on the downward slide to 50, overweight and didn’t do any exercise and if asked would tell you that I hate all exercise. I tried out SPENGA when I was looking for a new gym routine and they really exceeded all my expectations. The first thing I noticed was how immaculate the space was, I can honestly say I have never seen such a spotless and gorgeous workout space.
The concept of breaking up the workout into three different sections really works for me. I tend to get bored in a workout and in turn don't push myself as hard but at Spenga, every 20 minutes you are transitioning into a totally different segment of your workout, and on top of that, every class is different enough to keep you working every part of your body! I was most worried about the Spin portion because I hadn't tried it in years but the staff was so great about getting me set up and walking me through what to pay attention to. The way the spin class is set up is so easy to follow once you get the hang of it, it's honestly my favorite part of the workout now!
I can't even begin to say enough nice things about every human that works here as well. From the owner, to the instructors, to the front desk staff, they make you feel so welcomed and motivated, and you can tell they really care about every member that walks through the door.
I am so happy I found Spenga, it is by far my favorite gym I have ever been a part of!

So I was going to the 6am Session and never ran into the owner. The ladies did a great job with a system in the am which I unfortunately got use to it for a whole month and when I made it for a afternoon class the first time after I decided to sign up for the monthly Subscription, then it went different.

“Quick Back Story”
So this was a few weeks after covid happened and they where just getting back rolling. Normally when you walk in “in am” the iPad is flipped over “towards you/door” and you can see what bike your on.
This time I went which was during the day the “owner” was dealing with other customers and the lobby had about 5-6 total people waiting. “Covid-19 error so I didn’t wanna make anyone feel uncomfortable”
I was setup and didn’t need any help and I had pretty much got on a first name basis with my instructor I signed up for so I felt comfortable enough to go ask her to not hold up anymore people in the lobby.

So I decided to go ask my Spenga instructor “Chantel” < super cool instructor by the way)
—which bike I would be on And unfortunately she did put me on the wrong bike and as I walk over to the bike I was sent to here comes the owner rounding the corner chasing me down to ream me out about my mistake of trying to not crowd up the lobby and how I can’t do that and that’s not how they do things. Then on top of that I was in the wrong bike so I looked even worst and gave her even more of a reason to single me out.
Ok sounds fine & I totally understand but I felt attacked and talked down to during her speech.
This was right before my workout so I immediately felt down. Definitely not a way to feel there where they are supposed to lift you up there. Again first time and first impression on the owner I got.

I’ve noticed that there super nice to you until they get you to sign up. Which I did sign up and was paying to do two classes a week as well as paying for my girls classes as well. I’ve started to get a “odd” vibe there and had several other small things put a sour taste in my mouth. Worst enough that I just skipped 3 of 4 weeks from September and just went to work out on my own. I’m finishing off my subscription From there as I couldn’t cancel “which is fine As I was planning on being a regular there so its not the money. That didn’t bother me, it’s the Customer service that is Key

Just keep in mind they set it up so you have to give them a 30day notice to cancel so I have another month left here and will finish it out and just take my business elsewhere after almost 3-4months of Business with them.

I absolutely love it at Spenga Marlborough!! The place is so clean!! The staff is a amazing 🤩, so motivating and knowledgeable. Started with a 8x/ month package and the next month bumped it up to unlimited! Love how I now have a pep in my step after class and my energy level has increased. I feel completely safe there with all the covid rules and regulations. So glad I did a free trial and now I am hooked!

I’ve been going to SPENGA Marlborough since August 2019 and I absolutely love the format, facility, and staff! The studio is beautiful and clean, and the instructors are super warm, energetic, and encouraging. The workout is challenging, but also adaptable to your own personal needs, and you feel great afterwards. The 20/20/20 format is great because you get the full gamut of cardio, strength, and flexibility, but in smaller, more tolerable doses. You feel like you have accomplished so much by the end, and it’s never repetitive or boring. Right when you feel exhausted by what you are doing, it’s time to move on to the next part of the workout! You can feel your heart rate go up during spin, and then it is maintained through the strength portion, and slowly comes down during the yoga. It’s a lot of fun and effective!

Since the studio has been closed due to COVID-19, the staff has gone above and beyond to ensure the needs of its members are met, and that we all stay fit and healthy while in quarantine. They have offered self-directed workouts, prerecorded instructor-led workouts, and live workouts on Zoom with the SPENGA instructors giving feedback to members as they work out together. Classes have ranged from restorative yoga, to interval training, to combined cardio and strength, and the staff has been creative in modifying their instruction so that members can access the classes using what they have at home. As soon as the studio closed, all memberships were frozen, and members were given the option to unfreeze their memberships if they chose that as a method to support the studio. That is a business model I highly respect, because I know a lot of gyms (including another one I belong to!) handled things the other way around and will only freeze memberships to a gym members can’t go to if requested, and I gladly unfroze my SPENGA membership. They have also done things like sold merchandise as part of a fundraising effort to provide lunch for healthcare workers on the frontlines of the pandemic, and maintained a Facebook page to keep in contact with members and keep the sense of community alive. I already loved SPENGA, but with all they have done during this crisis, I really could not recommend them more highly!

I went to Spenga this morning with a friend, and we had a great experience! The gym is fairly new, clean, and welcoming. The owner and instructor were super friendly and thoroughly explained how the gym worked for us first time attendees (even our lockers had welcome notes on them.. such a personal touch!) Great rates and lots of class options. Will definitely drop back in!

I have worked and worked out in many gyms in my time, never have I had an experience so amazing as SPENGA. Not that great...instructors really don't know the specifics of what to do with spin. No real warm up and no tips to help get best ride etc. No real watching of technique with exercises and yoga is not relaxing but pretty good. Its "orange theory" but with spin. Owner has no real workout experience and its obvious its just a franchise to her. Chantel one of the instructors is fantastic, not sure why she works at Spenga she is better than that. Disappointed.

I've been going here for almost two months and I'm loving it! When I first joined I was starting to feel lost in my workouts because of hip pain. The spin bike and with yoga has really helped me recover from my hip injury! I'm used to going to gyms where the owner is no where in sight but here its different.. she's so kind and really encouraging!

Love this place! The owner Jackie and instructors are very pleasant and knowledgeable. Studio is new and beautiful! The 20 minutes spin, 20 minutes strength and 20 minutes of yoga goes by very quickly and is a great mix to keep me motivated! I think it’s great to go through each part and leave feeling so relaxed and focused when I leave after yoga! It’s been 6 weeks and I already can feel a difference!

Spenga is amazing - a one stop workout for all my favorites: spin, strength & yoga! And just the right amount of each of them in one session: 20-minutes! I initially purchased a 10-pack of sessions and quickly upgraded to an unlimited membership. Ashlee and Chantal are my favorites (but I haven’t been to a bad class), as is the owner, Jackie.

I have been going since it opened... very clean and well run studio! Jackie is very friendly and always makes you feel welcome. The instructors all have different personalities but are all equally equipped to lead spin, fitness, and yoga as well as they push you just past your confort zone... yet share and encourage modifications as people need. Every client is on their own fitness journey and I feel very motivated by the group as well as the instructors. Great atmosphere and I have now incorporated this into my weekly routine. Such a great workout and the instructors are always so motivating. At previous places I've worked out at I felt like even after months the instructors didn't know my name but at Spenga Marlborough I'm greeted by my name as soon as I walk in the door. You can go at your own pace and I always leave feeling accomplished. Also the facility is very clean and well kept :)
