Such a great space to get a steady state or high intensity workout in no matter your experience level. Love attending classes with a supportive group and learning to row outside of the competitive space :)

I love HIIT workouts and am new to rowing and this was the best of both worlds. Beautiful space and super helpful coach. They truly have options for everyone. ++ skierg and “berg” (bike erg) to work other muscles. No rowing experience required.

This was my first time on a row machine, but Bryn was amazing! She helped me get my form down and gave really good feedback throughout the session. Once my form was good, we were just rowing and chatting it up - super casual and chill.

Super awesome gym. Great if you’re an experienced rower or someone who’s interested in trying it out. Can’t recommend enough!!!

I've been attending classes at the Crew pretty much weekly since they opened in fall 2024. Bryn (studio owner) is great. Friendly and really passionate about rowing/fitness. The other instructors on staff (shout out to Steph & Gwen!) that I've had are also super friendly, quite knowledgeable, and have a good amount of experience with rowing. If rowing seems intimidating you, this is the studio to visit! There's a lot of focus on making sure you're comfortable on the rowers and helping with proper form. There's also a variety of different types of rowing classes to keep things interesting and they're not all entirely on the rower. The HIIT class for example has some periods on the rower and some periods off the rower. They also have stationary bikes and a Ski erg if that's your jam.

The studio is convenient to Malden center and the building has free parking. It's on the top floor of the building and is bright and clean. They provide clean towels for sweaty persons like myself (honestly these are the fluffiest towels I've experienced in a Boston area fitness studio), have a water cooler for filling your bottle, and there are miscellany drinks for purchase (I think coconut water and Gatorade but I haven't personally bought any and I suspect these will vary). The most negative thing I have to say here is that the building itself is kind of confusing so give yourself a couple extra minutes to get to the studio.

Come and check them out! I'm super stoked they're here in Malden!

I attended the intervals class which was a great work out! Bryn was very helpful as it was my second time rowing. She’s very experienced and seems to have been doing this for many years. Highly recommend!

I attended the Tuesday evening class, it was a great workout! The space is beautiful and Bryn is an awesome teacher! She spent time with each person in the class to give tips and answer questions. She is very thorough and explains proper form/aspects of rowing so that it is easy to understand for beginners like myself. Highly recommend taking a class here!

Very enjoyable workout, I’ll be back for sure if anything 6:30pm classes could be helpful for those who work in town and need time to get out of it but besides that wonderful class and I really loved the commitment Bryn has to make this a wonderful experience the encouragement from both her and Steph to keep going made me want to strive to do better!

I attended a Sunday Funday class. The space is gorgeous, super-clean; I enjoyed the atmosphere. We rowed to great music as well as played rowing games which were really fun... thunder! 45 minutes was enough, as I I have not rowed since college... a long time ago! loved meeting Bryn and the instructor, very inclusive for all different types of rowers!

Amazing experience! It was refreshing to attend a fitness class that truly focuses on individual form rather than a chaotic free-for-all. If you’re interested in rowing, I highly recommend this gym. The owner, a knowledgeable high school rowing coach, provides clear explanations and is incredibly helpful. You’ll definitely improve your skills here!
