The Movement Room focuses on improving golf performance and fitness. Owned and operated by Ryan Wood, TMR is the go-to for total golf performance training. Equipped with a golf simulator, 30 yards of turf, and a fully equipped strength training area, this is a one-stop shop to improve your strength, speed, power and mobility so you can shoot lower scores. Train with other golfers in groups for competition and camaraderie.

I’ve been working out at The Movement Room since early spring and it’s been great. I’ve seen small increases in my overall distances, but the main aspect is that I’m not tired after 18. His training is never boring, and it helps me stay interested because the exercises relate back to golf, and you can generally see how they relate to different parts of your swing. The crew I’ve been training with quickly became friends that push each other to do better and hold each other accountable if we may be slacking. If you’re in the area, I would recommend any golfer (regardless of level) contact Ryan and try a class, you won’t regret it!

Been working out weekly in Ryan’s small group training classes. Doing great exercises for overall strength and learning golf specific exercises as well. Classes end with some practice at the simulator and much appreciated swing tips. I started using Trackman at the driving range and see a 15% improvement in distance over the past six weeks. I am 66 years old and have been working out with Ryan at The Movement Room, twice a week since February 2025. Ryan has carefully designed exercises that not only cater to my individual needs but also challenge me to push my physical limits. Now, just two months later, I am experiencing significant improvement in strength and flexibility. I have been working with Ryan at TMR since December 2023. Prior to December 2023, physical fitness always seemed to be deprioritized, however, golf had always been a priority. With a goal of losing weight, gaining muscle, and improving flexibility, movement, and speed throughout my golf swing, I gave Ryan a chance to support me and my goals.

Ryan listened to my goals and aspirations and curated a workout plan and routine specifically for me and my abilities. The workouts, difficulty, weight, and complexity has slowly increased as my capabilities and strength improved. Since December 2023, my swing speed has improved from 105mph to 113mph, I've lost 17lbs net, and gain considerable strength in weight-lifting exercises.

Ryan has created an inviting facility at The Movement Room and effectively balances creative workout routines on a weekly basis to eliminate any monotony. The golf simulator and speed sticks at TMR enables me to see instant, real time results and feedback, as well as week to week improvement.

If you're looking to improve physical fitness, golf mobility and flexibility, and improve swing speed, you'd be best served to work with Ryan and The Movement Room.

I've been working with Ryan for about 8 months now. I was stuck in a rut doing a lot of the same movements and exercises I had been doing for 15 years. Ryan took time to figure out what I was after and customized the program for some of my golf specific goals. A couple of years ago, I started focusing on fitness and training for Spartan races, without really knowing what I was doing. Over time, I managed to make some progress at the expense of slowly injuring my shoulder and adopting poor lifting habits without really knowing why. In a little under three months, my shoulder pain is completely gone, and my strength and mobility has exploded thanks to Ryan's personal mobility and strength training in The Movement Room. Ryan has been a tremendous help in undoing the damage I was doing to myself and setting me up for success in my future. I was hesitant at first to sign up for any type of personal training thinking that I would be underwhelmed by a standard program, but Ryan exceeded my expectations during our first meeting. He has a unique and intuitive approach to training combining strength, coordination and agility in all of his sessions.
