Thereβs no mirror here when I asked they yelled from the back room βitβs not about what you look likeβ β¦β¦.yes it is, in order to prevent injuring yourself you need to see what you are doing. Gyms should not have free weights without mirror

The staff here is fantastic! It had been a long time since I was in a gym and they took the time to introduce me to the equipment and teach me how to use it. The CrossFit class is AWESOME!

Very nice CrossFit training gym with lots of barbell weights and dumbbells. Thereβs also rock climbing and bouldering and even Ju Jitsu training on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The gym is very clean and top notch! Highly recommend going here and best part is that itβs free!

A clean, relaxed, and wonderful location. I went there to climb, but got to see so much activity; bjj, boxing, adaptive fitness, and more. The mission of the gym is also amazing--giving people a sense of community to overcome personal or social pressure towards vices.
I definitely am looking forward to returning!

The Phoenix has been an integral place for me to scale up my sobriety and recovery. I primarily do yoga here, thereβs always availability for the classes Iβm interested in and the instructors are always so kind and supportive. Iβve found the same to be true of the patrons, weβre all in this together after all.

Amazing FREE fitness center!
The Phoenix offers all of its events, and classes, including Boxing, Yoga, Resistance Training, and amazing indoor climbing, free of charge.
The only requirement is 48 hours without using drugs or alcohol.
We are a sober, active community, and whether you are in recovery or just someone who wants to work on themselves in a space that is fun, safe, and judgment free, this is the place for you.

Amazing community gym. For those in recovery, this is another tool to be used to maintain sobriety. Great community atmosphere and the workouts are no joke. Donations are accepted but if you have been sober for the last 48 hours there is NO mandatory cost to any of the classes. It's an amazing deal considering how nice the equipment is and knowledgeable the staff are. Thanks Phoenix!

I wish their open gym hours were more frequent and longer. Also, if you have a 6:45 a.m. yoga class on the schedule, make sure there is someone qualified to teach it.

Amazing space. If you're in recovery it's free!
Bigger than I thought. Lots of challenging climbs, state of the art Crossfit gear and I was delighted to find NO second hand gear for CLIMBING? ALL BRAND NEW! They really pulled out the stops. The Trainers have been with Phoenix for years and are true testament to what a sober community can accomplish. I can't wait to go back.

I personally am in recovery and am thankful to have found The Phoenix at the beginning of my journey to sobriety over two years ago. It has allowed
me to find strength and hope with my recovery, associating PR's and fitness achievements with my sobriety milestones. Not only that, there is a strong, supportive community that gives me the opportunity to thrive in recovery, not just survive. It is a blessing to now be working for The Phoenix and connecting others in need to this community.
The Phoenix is a nonprofit organization that fosters a sober active community for individuals recovering from a substance use disorder and those who choose to live sober. Through activities such as indoor/outdoor rock climbing, CrossFit, yoga, running, hiking and boxing, we seek to help individuals maintain the emotional strength they need to stay sober. By leveraging physical activity and social connection, our participants are able to build confidence and find the support they need to live productive and fulfilling lives in recovery. Phoenix events are FREE to anyone with at least 48 hours of continuous sobriety and all of our instructors are in recovery themselves. With this peer-to-peer model and a culture that is welcoming, safe and supportive, Phoenix is helping individuals rise from the ashes of addiction and pursue lives full of hope.
