Since 1882, our organization has built a strong reputation for striving to meet the health, fitness and social challenges of area residents while focusing attention on serving at-risk children and families. Our YMCA offers Pre-School and After-School child care, older adult services, teen programs, rehabilitation, health and wellness programs, family activities, literacy, and so much more! We recently merged with the YMCA of Central Massachusetts which has locations in Fitchburg, Leominster, Westborough and Worcester.

I joined the ymca back a few years back before covid . I got the single family plan so that I could take my daughter and it was fairly a reasonable price at the time. My daughter learned how to swim there they also took care of her while I was in the gym working out which was really convenient. The basketball gym was OK, but the balls were always flat for years never taken care of just no supervision which was discouraging and then you can only use part of the pool because it was always swim lessons or just too many kids in the pool at one time. And then Covid hit in the YMCA closed, but I got charged for every month that we couldnβt use the YMCA therefore I canceled. I live five minutes away and itβs so convenient but after reading a lot of these reviews looks like nothing has changed. I was actually thinking of joining again, but I think I wonβt all that money and itβs still the same. Do better YMCA.

Itβs very fun to play basketball and work out my only main complain is that the basketball court is really dusty which makes the traction on basketball shoes wear off quick, other than that very fun.

I had a membership. It was mainly for the pool. The lifeguards here are too young. They ruin the experience. Cancelling membership.

In Menβs Locker Room is so depressing! 2 bathroom stalls are too narrowβ¦not great for Big Guys!
Only 2 sinks? Steam control panel, which usually has a dial or button to turn the steam onβ¦not there, the steam on is not working properlyβ¦so tiny cubic, like 6βx6β! So depressing!

Workers are lazy with the online part of the place I went to play basketball at 2:50 and the time online said it closed at 5 but when we got there they told us it closed at 3. The online part is lacking.

So this is a great place for kids no doubt. But the #1 Thing this place miserably failed at is, How dirty the place really is. In the gym, if you look up at the speakers π, they have a cape of dust that you can make a rug out of it.(nasty), All the hoops assembly are the same way, the back board are dusty as well. The pilings on ceiling look like the have never been dusted., The bleaches have many patches of gum everywhere. I honestly do not know how they do not notice all these things. Make it better!! This place has been around for years, I'm sure they get pretty good money from each individual who comes and uses the facility. Why can this get taken care of at least once a week?

I love the exercise classes and have always thought the Y was just awesome, but yesterday they called and offered to help us get a vaccination appointment and then today they called with one all set up for us. What a gift that was! I am so impressed that they reached out to us to see if we needed help.

This is a good location with a well equipped gym and pool with multiple swim lanes. They have racquet ball courts, sauna, lockers, classes, personal trainers and more. They also have summer programs and others for kids and adults. Depending on your membership you can go to other YMCA locations even out of state I have found they usually honor it or give a discount.

Teen night-They need to control it better. Its very physcotic.Except the pool area. The activities are very boring. Everyone runs in the hall. They do have snacks available but everyone uses the vending machine. The dance room is pretty bad too. Everyone is twerking on each other. I went in there and I was disgusted. The drama here too. The staff doesnt really care for the drama. Yet there are like 5 girls crying and fighting with each other in the Locker room. When it was over Kids we're running in the parking lot,no supervision. Cars were zooming by.EVERYTHING.

I absolutely love the Southbridge YMCA. The facility is very clean, there are lots of classes to choose from and a ton of updated equipment.
I had the opportunity to work with Jay, who is one of the personal trainers at this location. I had a one on one session to discuss my goals, and tailor a routine to address my fitness goals. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient, friendly, professional, and truly listened to what I was communicating. It's because of that session, that I feel confident with this new routine. I look forward to achieving my goals to shape and tone my body.

I love this place! They just recently updated the exercise and weight machines in the fitness center and they're updating more equipment soon! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The members are great too! I just wished they had 24-hour access to the fitness center like other gyms and fitness centers. Also, one thing I don't like is that the paper towel dispensers are often empty, which really stinks when you're all freakin' sweaty or need to blow your nose!
