I had an incredible week of yoga and wellness at WHY. Although it was my first time at this studio, I walked in the door and was treated like a regular. I took class five days in a row. If you are looking for a true hot yoga 90 minute 26 & 2 experience- this is the place for you. The sauna, red light therapy, mat and towel rental was included in my week long package. Book a massage with Jason. Just book it. I was sad my week ended before I could have a pumpkin facial.....but I will certainly be back. I wish I lived closer. Thank you Teri and everyone at WHY.

I’m so grateful to have found this sacred space at Wellness Hot Yoga. The Bikram classes, red light therapy, and wellness offerings are truly exceptional — but it’s the community that makes this place so special. The staff goes above and beyond, and the members genuinely connect and support one another. It’s such a beautiful environment to heal, grow, and focus inward. Every visit feels like a gift.

Even though my body is in a “Healing Mode” and I’m not able yet to fully execute all the postures, I feel and see improvements every time I attend class. A great way to melt away anxieties and stress with just breathing and being present in the hot room.

I decided to go to Wellness Hot Yoga to do the Personal Retreat, and I am so glad I did!
What a fantastic, spacious, and clean facility with everything you could ask for. I immediately felt welcome by Teri and Staff. Christie the Massage Therapist is tremendously skilled.
All the yoga instructors are amazing, but I need to give special recognition to Teri, who managed to get me in positions I had just given up on in the past. Teri is very experienced, talented, and an exceptional teacher with a kind and warm personality that makes you want to come back for more. She might even make me a morning person just so I can practice with her, (maybe)!
My float session today was awesome. Truly the most relaxing experience I've ever had. And the Red Light Therapy sessions surely made a difference in my Wellbeing.
Even though I do not live close by, I have committed to a weekly practice at this studio because it is just that phenomenal!

If you are looking for a way to de-stress and recharge, I highly recommend giving Wellness Hot Yoga's Float Tank a try. The studio itself is so calming and welcoming, and the staff is so friendly. They took the time to explain everything, which definitely helped ease my 'first time floating' nerves. The one hour of weightlessness was like hitting the reset button for my body and mind. If you've never taken in Float Therapy, the setting at Wellness Hot Yoga is the place to start. It was recommended to me by my wife - a yoga instructor and massage therapist - as a way to help reduce the stress I've been experiencing at work lately. A warm salt bath with such a high concentration that one effortlessly floats as if wrapped in a flotation device, gently drifting with only the perception of gravity, is an exercise in meditation taken to the next level. The facility is exceptionally clean and neat, and the personal attention both pre-and post bath further adds to the relaxing atmosphere for an ultimate feeling of serenity and inner peace. It's a great gift idea for that hard-to-buy-for person who appreciates unique and satisfying wellness experiences.

Recently I booked a Float session and expected a dark coffin-like structure but was very pleased (and relieved!) to see an open air tub in a private room. There's an easy access shower you use before and after, earplugs provided to keep the salty water out, as well as a foamy neck support. You also get to control the lighting options.
At first I didn't trust that my neck would be supported enough so I used the foam accessory. After about 10 minutes, I lifted my neck up and the accessory floated away but I hadn't realized it and when I relaxed my neck again, I was still totally buoyant! The entire experience was bliss! (I do not, however, recommend drinking Dunkin nitro coffee beforehand because my mind was racing more than it should have. Now I know for next time..haha!)
What a gift to yourself this is (like any service at WHY). I call these services "Health Appointments". It feels AMAZING to incorporate these healthy practices for our vitality. Whether we're being proactive for our health or recovering from an injury, these services are absolutely therapeutic & beneficial.

My happy place. I stumbled upon Wellness a few months ago while I was looking for a drop in class and have since fallen in love. I’ve had such a positive experience with every instructor I’ve taken a class with.

I've been coming to this studio off and on for a couple of years. I drive about 45 minutes each way, but the facilities are good and clean, and the instructors are great.
However, this studio does have sloppy admin. I purchased a package and booked a massage at the front desk. The studio charged my card, but never actually put the appointment in the system. I make my drive and show up to no appointment, no masseuse, and no option other than to move it a week. The front desk staff were nice, and they apologized, but it really leaves a bad taste in my mouth to waste an entire afternoon because of a basic administrative error.

My yoga partner and I have had the pleasure of practicing with Teri and her incredible team at Wellness Hot Yoga since the pandemic began, initially through their online classes. The dedication and passion they brought to the virtual space were nothing short of inspiring. This connection deepened further during the unforgettable Costa Rica Retreat in 2023, which prompted us to take a personal retreat at their Haverhill studio.
Traveling all the way from the west coast of Canada, we spent a week immersed in the nurturing environment of Wellness Hot Yoga. The experience was absolutely phenomenal. Each day, we participated in one or two yoga classes, each offering a unique blend of challenge and tranquility. The instructors are exceptionally skilled, providing guidance that caters to all levels of experience and ensuring that every session is both invigorating and restorative.
Beyond the yoga classes, we indulged in the studio's holistic wellness offerings. The red light therapy was rejuvenating, the float tank provided a profound sense of relaxation, and the massages were expertly delivered, melting away any lingering stress. These services complemented our yoga practice perfectly, enhancing our overall sense of well-being.
What truly sets Wellness Hot Yoga apart is the sense of community. The staff, teachers, and fellow students are all incredibly warm and welcoming. There's a genuine sense of camaraderie and support within the studio, making it a haven of positivity and growth. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a newcomer, you'll find a place where you belong.
In summary, our week at Wellness Hot Yoga's Haverhill studio was an exceptional retreat that left us feeling rejuvenated and inspired. The combination of excellent yoga instruction, top-notch wellness services, and a vibrant community makes it a standout destination for anyone seeking to deepen their practice and enhance their well-being. We can't recommend it highly enough!

Wellness Hot Yoga is an affirming, comfortable, and supportive environment where you can give your body what it needs. The facility is kept meticulously clean, from the spacious locker rooms, to the yoga room, and everything in between, allowing for a peaceful transition from workday to wellness. They have many offerings from sauna, massage, and floats, in addition to yoga, making it a great all-in-one stop.
In my opinion, for the bendy side of things, Wellness Hot Yoga is uniquely positioned to welcome new practitioners due to its longstanding community of students and teachers from around the world. Teri and her teachers have the gift of an international knowledge base with both professionals and students that have crossed the decades mark - meaning they have been able to see bodies change over time for years. This is an incredibly special place to grow your skills, join a group of like-minded folks, or simply unwind after a stressful day. If you're wondering whether or not you should take the leap, ask yourself W.H.Y not?

I recently started yoga practice at Wellness after a 10 year hiatus from another studio. I tried other forms of yoga but, for me, the heated 26 & 2 practice is the best for a myriad of reasons. When I first visited Wellness it became clear that this is unlike any other studio I have been too. It truly is a positive, welcoming community and is great for anyone regardless of your physical abilities or where you are in life. Second, the facilities are top notch. Everything is clean and modern.
As for the classes, the instructors are amazing. Teri, the owner, is very supportive and helpful to all students, and particularly those recovering from injury. I have yet to try the other services (red light therapy, float, sauna, massage) since my primary goal was to get into yoga first. Wellness recently added Yin classes and prenatal classes.
The rates are very competitive with any other studio and there is actually more value because of the additional services they have. My journey is just beginning so I will update this review in a few months. I highly recommend Wellness Hot Yoga and I look forward to welcoming you as they have welcomed me!

Wellness Hot Yoga is nothing short of a lifeline for me. The instructors here are not just skilled; they are compassionate mentors who guide each session with expertise and heart. Their encouragement has helped me progress in my practice, both physically and mentally. But what truly sets this studio apart is its incredible owner Teri, who has created a beautiful community. Walking through those doors feels like entering a supportive family, where everyone understands the journey to inner peace. The sense of belonging and camaraderie among practitioners creates an atmosphere of acceptance that is truly inspiring.
Hot yoga, with its enveloping heat, has become my sanctuary. Amidst the challenging poses and the intensity of the heat, there's a profound sense of calmness that washes over me. It's more than just a workout; it's a transformative experience that has taught me mindfulness and resilience. Navigating life's challenges has become more manageable, thanks to the serenity I find on the mat. Wellness Hot Yoga has not only strengthened my body but also nurtured my soul, and for that, I am endlessly grateful.

Teri and her team have created a warm, open and soothing place where all are welcome to come and met the needs of your personal journey.
After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, I started looking for alternatives to western medicine to help find relief from my symptoms. I will forever be grateful for the day I happened to walk past the studio and noticed the sign for red light therapy. Recently, I had tried the 60 minute Float! This is a total game changer, especially as I am approaching my due date. This has relieved my back aches and pressure on my sciatic nerve as it's helped reposition my baby. I was able to easily fall asleep and relax without having my nerve flare up or muscle ache! Hello everyone, I tried float therapy today for the first time and if I had to describe it in one word it would be tranquility. Ahhhhhhhh how relaxing. It took me a little bit to fully relax and let my body go into full relaxation and float mood but once I fully allowed myself to do so I didn’t move at all. I noticed you do need to have your ears under the water for best results on neck. I felt like I was able to fall into a deep meditation and allow the water and salt to heal me body. There are a few other really cool things about this but I don’t want to spoil it for you so go and check it out for yourself your mind body and soul will thank you.

I’ve known Teri Almquist now for a little over three years. I attended two of her retreats in Costa Rica, and her studio teachers got me through Covid with online classes. I recently realized that my local studio in CT was not fulfilling my needs and the 40 minute drive each way turned my hot yoga into a more than a three-hour ordeal. Plus, I am in the process of moving to Canada. So for the time being, I set up a hot room in my house and I now do yoga online through Wellness Hot Yoga a few times a week. My practice has improved since switching to online, which I attribute to the teaching, and I’m happier, more relaxed, and more confident. I simply can’t say enough about the studio. Even though it’s a 2 1/2 hour drive for me, I have visited twice since they opened this past spring. Teri, Brandi, and Sarah are amazing teachers, and they have have a few new teachers that are wonderful people and becoming excellent teachers as well. Even though I am online and don’t live in the area, I feel like I am part of a community. If I lived in the Haverhill area, hands-down it would be my yoga studio of choice. Trust me. Just take five classes and you’ll feel wonderful and will want to keep going!

This is hands down my favorite hot yoga studio. I have gone to a few around the state and Teri and her staff are the friendliest and most fun to be around. They are welcoming of all individuals. If you haven't tried hot yoga I encourage you to do so. Besides the myriad of health benefits you receive you also feel incredible after each session. I have practiced even while injured and it radically sped up my healing time and realigned the joints in my neck and my knees. It may take a little time to get used to the heat, but once you do you will be hooked!

I pre signed up for a class online online and planned my day around their class, I’m not the type to make a trip without signing up first because my time is extremely valuable.
At no point online did they say I would need any health related certification and never have I been asked to show my “vaccine card” for anything in my life.
No apologies for my time and effort wasted because of their negligence , no offers to make it right.
I don’t know if they know how to teach yoga, but they don’t know how to treat people and they do not deserve your money.
I understand some people choose to get this RNA gene therapy shot or vaccine because it may save lives from Covid and I’m not arguing for or against that. But there are also real side effects and I’m in a high risk category. I have antibodies better than someone only vaccinated, there is no more chance I will spread anything than a vaccinated person, despite what vaccine developers and their affiliates have advertised.
I trust actual science not just corporate narratives. Every single person is unique and must be able to freely make decisions about their health.
All vaccine requirements have ended in almost every country city etc. but not here. I don’t write reviews but I hope I save someone from the frustration I went through.

I joined Wellness Hot Yoga for the yoga, but have expanded my wellness routine to include red light therapy and massage - and highly recommend both. The massage with Patty was an hour of relaxation and bliss, tailored the individual, whether you’re looking for deep tissue, relaxation or something in between. The red light therapy targets areas of inflammation (knee pain for me), to help with healing. Overall, a wellness destination in Haverhill that is a gem and true gift to the community.

Wellness hot yoga is a wonderful community where you can work on your health with a variety of modalities. I first began taking hot yoga at the studio and grew to love the infrared lights. I can’t wait to try the float tank next! Everyone there is so welcoming and friendly. It’s such a treat to have a place like this right in Haverhill. I have taken many yoga classes and these are the best instructors around.

So much gratitude for Teri and the teaching team at Wellness Hot Yoga. Thank you for offering your on-line classes. It means the world to me that I have been able to practice at home with everything going on in the world right now. The schedule is well set up, the teachers are knowledgeable, and the class was very well run. The dialogue is excellent and perfectly executed. Thank you, thank you, for bringing a 90 minutes of joy and laughter to my computer and my home.

BYMV has been a life changer! This was my first experience with yoga, and I absolutely love it. The mind-body connection (and challenge!) are a huge part of the practice. The instructors are inspiring and encouraging with each body, and they create a welcoming atmosphere. The owner, Teri, is a rock star!

Birkram Merrimack Valley is my savior. I started my practice back in September and I cannot imagine my life without my practice now. The staff is just amazing, all my fellow yogis treat you like family. Teri who owns the studio is one of the most amazing people I’ve ever met.
Birkram has improved my body, stress, and health. I am beyond thankful to have found a place I call Home.

Bikram Yoga is where my journey back to health finally began after 7 months of searching for the "answer". I wanted to come sooner, but was worried that I wasn't "strong enough" or was "too injured" to participate. I was so wrong. As soon as I stepped in the doors of Bikram Yoga Merrimack Valley, I was greeted with open arms and assurance that this is where I needed to be. I was asked about my injury by the owner, Teri, directly and told her about my herniated disk. She coached me in and out of the studio along with the other amazing instructors she has on her team. Bikram yoga not only helped heal me on the outside, but from the inside as well. When I had nowhere to turn, Bikram was there. Just breathe <3

"Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name" lyrics to the popular Boston based show rings so true for this studio. The minute you walk in you are welcomed and surrounded by the happy smiling faces of this amazing community! This yoga has changed my life so much over the past 5 years and I am so incredibly grateful for this studio,Teri Almquist and all the teachers that I have had the pleasure of meeting over the years. I don't know where I would be mentally or physically if this yoga had not come into my life, but I know I am in a better place now because of it. Thank you.

This studio is amazing. The teachers are knowledgeable about this specific type of yoga that may at first seem like a repeat class every time to the new comer, but with consistent practice, you soon realize this scripted dialogue is actually tailored for every student by the staff. They welcome the injured and all body types to " do the best they can with the body they have today" but also have all students work to their edge. I have practiced here for 4 years, and am amazed how every class I hear something new in the dialogue I have heard a million times. As you develop your yoga there is always a new level you can go to, and the teachers are so aware of where you are in your practice. There is also a sense of community at this studio that everyone feels welcome even if they have been away for a while. If you need a place to start again, or to develop an already strong yoga practice, this is the place for you. By the way..it's HOT..so drink plenty before you come!

This place is a one trick pony. Bikram is less yoga and more exercise. The instructors are pushy in an environment in which it's easy to push yourself too far.
They do the same yoga sequence and say the same things every yoga class. Perhaps it's a bikram thing, it's the first bikram class I've done.
The main reason I gave it 2 stars is because I feel like the instructors regularly violate personal boundaries. I had three major knee surgeries years ago, and although I have worked hard to rehab, there is one posture I won't push myself in. Knee ligaments snap very easily. Several instructors regularly tell me to go further even when I explain that I'm past my point of ease. I don't mind discomfort but I won't injure myself because some blowhard yoga instructor wants me to risk injury.

Top notch Bikram Yoga studio! As a Chiropractor since 1999 I've spent many years bent over the adjusting table serving patients. This has wreaked havoc on my own body! So, in order to prolong my career and undo some of the repetitive damage I do to myself on a daily basis, I started doing Bikram Yoga in addition to receiving regular chiropractic adjustments and periodic full body massages...and watching my weight, of course! Although at first I was terrified that the high temperature in the "hot room" was going to be too much for me to handle I have come to appreciate the extra stretch the heat affords me. There are moments where the heat is too much so I just rest for a couple of minutes and then I'm good to go. My life has improved so much since I've been going to class that I will most likely go for the rest of my life. The benefits are fantastic...my hips move better when I walk, my spine feels and functions better and the yoga actually healed an old injury I suffered on one of my fingers! Overall, I feel younger and I know the yoga is helping me inside and out. The other students and staff are friendly and welcoming. I can't say enough good things about Bikram Yoga and this studio in particular!
