I tried to join pickleball here last week October 10th and the regulars here are very cruel and exclusionary with tacit participation from the staff I witnessed another woman who seemed to be a regular who looked to be at the same skill level as every other player there being ridiculed and told she didn’t belong there by this wretch of a woman julie who was very elitist I was also told by her that I (a 32 year old new pickleball player) didn’t belong when I was told by the club when I signed up for my membership that this was a place where i could play with like minded people and develop my skills clearly they lied about this being a welcoming environment. Shameful I will be spreading the word about this!

Have to say this is by far the best gym we’ve ever been to. The facility is huge. The daycare is out of this world. Not a regular gym daycare. They clearly have put money and time and EFFORT into make a run and safe space for your kids. The staff in the daycare are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Even the daycare director is a star. If you have any questions or concerns she is on it and always gets back to you in a timely manner. The gym is amazing. Something for everyone to do. I’ve lost 80lbs in the first year coming to this gym. The trainers are nice and helpful. They know you by name and always happy to see you. Not just that but our kids have done swim lessons here and the aquatics director is amazing. My kids adore her and always want to stop and say hello. Everyone who works here treats you with respect and a smile on their face. For someone who comes every day and uses 80% of the facility I’m beyond happy to be a member here at the WC. I made great friends here and so hasn’t my husband and kids. We thank all the staff here for their hard work. Thank you for making such a positive difference in our lives.

If you aren’t a member yet stop wasting time and sign up now. It’s worth it.

I have been a member of Weymouth Club for several months now and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. The club offers an impressive array of services and the facilities are well-maintained.

As an avid tennis enthusiast, I can't say enough good things about the tennis facilities. The club has multiple indoor tennis courts and ample tennis instructors for those looking to learn the basics or develop more advanced skills. The pools are great for families, and I'm looking forward to the completion of the new family locker room. That said, the locker rooms and bathroom facilities deserve special mention. They are always clean, well-stocked, and offer all the amenities you would want, including showers, lockers, saunas, and steam rooms.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of Weymouth Club is how affordable the membership is. Given the extensive facilities and services offered, I expected the prices to be much higher. However, their rates are very competitive, offering great value for your money.

If you're looking for a family-friendly fitness club that offers a wide range of activities, maintains high standards of cleanliness, has a friendly staff, and won't break the bank, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Family have been members for 20 years. I come on a guest pass when I visit from out of town (btw which I have to pay $20 each for) and was told I cannot enter the facilities from 6/13-8/1. Place is a joke, and only cares about their daycare services.

The energy center is not safe for infants. There is an inconsistency in the manner they work with parents and children and the facility is not up to code for child care under the Massachusetts law. They told us its a "drop off facility" which means you are not permitted to enter the space regardless of what condition your child is in. This was a redflag. Energy center staff is friendly but secretly Aggressive towards children. Talk to your child before going

Disclaimer, I’m not a member of this gym, I received PT at Bay State PT housed in WC.

Although I’m a member of the Emilson Y, which has many of the same member amenities as WC and more, I was considering switching gyms. That changed after my encounter with Ashely at the front desk of WC.

I had been receiving treatment there, 3x a week for about 2 months. I announced my destination to the concierge desk every appointment until I became familiar with a couple girls at the front and started to only announce where I was going to the ppl I didn’t know at the desk.

I want to mention, I wear a unique and bright winter coat & I’m one of the very few Black people who visit this gym, it is not hard to spot me or remember my face. I stand out.

I came in for PT per usual one day and 2 people were at the front desk. One who knows my face and another who didn’t.

I made contact with, smiled at and saw acknowledgment from the one I knew so I shuffled along to my appointment.

As I walked off to the destination i obviously knew where, I heard a condescending “do you know here you’re going?”. I looked back in a bit of pain from my surgery and answered yes I do, physical therapy.

At that point, I thought I’d be left alone to go off on my way. Nope. Ashley, who I later found out is the front desk manager thought it a good idea to make a spectacle of me. I already stand out. She proceeded to berate me for not stating my business. I told her I recognized the other woman who was standing next to her, which is why I didn’t say anything, but normally I would have. She thought it a good idea to go back-and-forth with me on this point.

So after that embarrassing and to me unnecessary exchange, let’s fast forward.

Couple things I wanna mention: on this particular day the therapy pool heater was broken and Amanda, who is also a manager at the gym said it was OK for the physical therapy ladies and I to warm up in the hot tub. So this extended our appointments a bit.

Another thing is as I mentioned I’m African-American, after I shower, wash and blow dry my hair some time will be taken because my hair is extremely porous.

I come back to my next appointment and I’m pulled into the office at my physical therapy. I’m told there are concerns about how much time I’m spending at the gym. Mind you I receive a medical ride (which isn’t anyone’s business and I shouldn’t have to announce it, but unfortunately, here I am explaining myself because of how I was made to feel) and I have to wait until they come to pick me up sometime so I may sit around the café. I found this extremely unsettling because I asked the other women who attend physical therapy with me if they had been hounded on how much time they spent at the gym and of course the answer was no.

This did nothing for my mental health, btw.

Having said all that. PT is ok, although I was a bit disheartened when my physical therapist said she preferred to stay out of it rather than advocate for her patients, but I will NOT be joining WC after being made so uncomfortable.

I do want to add that I spoke to Ashley‘s manager. I think his name was Russ, he was very kind and empathetic and I was told that my experience did not reflect the club’s desired goal.

Over all, the whole facility is very nice, but if you are not joining as a member, I don't recommend joining the classes. We waited 4 months just to have my 5 year old to move up from level 1 to level 2 swimming class, and still waiting. It only let me join waitlist on one specific time of the week. What makes me most unsatisfied is it priorities member for the spots. We pay regular price for the classes while members pay discounted price. It's not fair. I need to keep asking for available spot every few weeks by email and what I got is disappointment with withdrew suggestion if I do not want to stay in the current class. Yes, that way it can have an open spot for it's member! My older son has been taking the swimming class since 2021. The customer service is much better back then. Beside it's hard to get in to the classes now, it also change the policy of absence. There is no refund or make up classes even my son has ear infection who ended up in the ER. I also need to bring up that my older son almost got drowned twice when he was at the lower level. I didn't bring it up to the admin team because I know It was my son didn't stay on the platform as he should, but I do think the teacher do need to pay more attention to the children. After a few years of taking swimming class there, I do feel the customer service/policy is getting worse. If all you care is members, then don't take any non members!

Literally the best gym ever, and best value ever. Great weight room where everything always works, stair-masters and variety of treadmills all work. Gym and Locker room/ showers always clean. The man who cleans constantly working hard.

Best value ever, you get a good clean gym, 2 pools, a hot tub, a sauna a steam room, a basketball court, a pickle ball court: for 120 bucks, anybody who says not worth the price is living in fantasy land. They also have tennis and yoga ect..

Wouldn't bring my business anywhere else for almost any reason. This gym will be in my consideration when buying my next and forever home as i always want to be close.

I can't say enough about what a positive experience my family and I have had since we joined the Weymouth Club! It has become our home away from home (and is conveniently located 5 minutes from home). My kids have gotten so much out of the swim and tennis programs, and my husband and I have developed regular workout routines. I used to be intimidated by the idea of taking classes. I started taking classes with Danielle about two years ago, and now I am hooked! She has such a great teaching style! She leads a challenging workout (with fun playlists) but also provides lots of options for modifications. Her classes truly offer something for every ability level! You can't go wrong with the Weymouth Club!

My 4.5 yr old son has been swimming at Weymouth Club since he was 18 months old. At first the program was great and he learned a lot. After he was switched at 3 years old to the Splash program everything went downhill. They change instructors ALL THE TIME and they’re poorly equipped to work with younger children. My son regressed so much and wasn’t displaying safe swim protocols in the water with his inexperienced instructors.

Glad we switched him out and now he’s doing much better at a different swim school.

I have been trying to use existing credit (from Covid days) for the last few years. Weymouth Club makes it extraordinarily difficult.

My daughter had been on a waitlist for a swim class since 2022, and nobody gets back to me until I have to reach out again. I don't understand the point of a waitlist if patrons continuously need to follow up.

I tried to sign up for workout classes for myself and am told I can only use my credit card, and not the credit balance for online scheduling. I would have to call or walk in to the front desk to schedule a class. This is inconvenient and greatly inefficient. I have reached out on this matter and am being continuously ignored. Do not recommend this club.

Edited to add: I appreciate the response back. It's unfortunate to take a 1 star review to finally receive a response back. In January, I had to reach out again after months being on the waitlist, and it makes no sense to remove somebody from the waitlist if that ONE time being offered didn't work out. As a reminder, we had been on the waitlist for TWO years with no response until I have to reach out again and again. The aquatics team has serious communication issues so they truly need to work on that.

Amazing athletic club; however, poor customer service. Recently, I was turned away with my two young children when we came on a 100 degree day (my son’s birthday too, I might add) to be guest of my father, who is a member; instead we were told there was a ‘no guest’ policy for the first half of summer. However, it was never communicated properly to folks, and when we talked to the Executive Director, and explained the situation, he rudely shooed us away. Shameful.

Been members here for about 4-5 years and absolutely love this place! The pools are fantastic, especially for kids. I personally LOVE that they have a "no guests during the summer" policy because it prevents the pool from getting overcrowded, like the Y in Hanover. I wouldn't want to pay $250+ a month and have to worry if the pools were going to be overrun - there's always a good amount of space, even on the more crowded days. The energy center staff are INCREDIBLE. My kids adore them and the space is fantastic. Beautiful new locker rooms and I can't wait for the family locker room to be redone (the lack of co-ed bathroom spaces for families is a challenge). My biggest complaint is that the aquatics department communication could be improved - it is so hard to get anyone to answer a call, call you back (despite multiple voicemails left), or answer an email. Odd because the rest of the club departments/staff are fantastic communicators, especially Lianne in the Energy center. Overall a great club for families!

I absolutely love the Weymouth Club! My family has been going here for over a year and we love the pools in the summer and my husband I love the classes and the gym. The energy center has also been a life saver! Also, I can not say enough about Amy Bright. She is an amazing trainer and the best barre teacher I have ever had. Her classes are creative and fun and I feel so much stronger from taking them. As a former dancer in a past life, it's hard to find a class that's challenging but also attainable and she finds the perfect balance. She's so entertaining as well! I can not recommend her or the WC more.

Absolutely 100%. Every aspect of this Gym and Athletic Club is A1. The 5 or 6 swimming pools are always up to their intended temperatures. The dressing rooms are spotlessly maintained. The showers and sinks are all always stocked with the appropriate supplies. The showers are provided with high quality Body Wash, Shampoo, and Hair Conditioner. The steam room, sauna and toilets are immaculately policed. Weymouth Athletic Club fitness equipment is extremely diverse and available to a variety of levels. The staff are overly attentive to members and highly knowledgeable and helpful.

I joined the gym so I could go swimming as this is one of the only gyms in the area that is reasonably affordable and that has a pool. It is extremely disappointing when I come almost every day to find the pool lanes are completely full. Most of the times with a swim lesson or swim team. The night before I reserve a lane through the app and the next day there are no lanes available. Then after being disappointed about no lanes I’ve went on the gym floor only to find every bench, treadmill and inch of the gym floor is full. The only time I find to swim are weekend mornings at 7am.

I’m paying over $120 for the expectation to have a place to exercise and then most of the time I have no space to do it. It’s very disappointing.

It’s a very nice staff but I’m paying to workout.

Nice gym but they pander to all their trainers who monopolize the gym space 24/7 with large classes. Even during peak hours . Last week A trainer had a class of 6 people running shuttles square in the middle of the floor. There is not enough space for this nonsense. I have to tip toe around people at times . Others times I am getting knocked into. I am always eating to use equipment. Some days I just give up and go home. They need to make space where trainers can hold their programs away from the main gym or only allow larger classes of 4 or more at off peak times.

We *love* the Weymouth Club! After being a member of many other gyms for years, I can say with confidence the Weymouth Club is really the best possible experience. First, the childcare is exceptional: professional, clean, attentive, and well staffed. The pools are amazing. As for working out, there’s something for everyone, whether it’s a quieter workout experience on the top floor, exercise classes, and the main floor has everything you could want. I could go on and on — yoga classes with a gorgeous studio, so many pool options, clean locker rooms. And yes, while it is not an inexpensive gym option, for what you get, the monthly fee is an excellent value! I wish I had joined sooner!

We love the Weymouth club! Reasons: #1 the pools. #2 it’s always so clean. #3 the gym is so chill and you can use the outdoor tent by the pool for a quick circuit workout or stretching when it’s not in use for a class #4 the cardio machines are awesome #5 the smoothie bowls and chicken fingers at the cafe are always great!

I was unsure about signing up due to the cost but am really glad we did and will be sure to keep the membership as long as we can. Especially while my kids are little.

Hit or miss. It’s a pricey membership, so you expect a lot. The pools are nice but are very often closed for maintenance, camp, and other commitments. This happens randomly and without much notice, which is inconvenient. For $250 a month, I kind of expected more availability. Tennis and pickleball court reservations are an added cost on top of that and really expensive. Also the childcare workers are just ok (some good, some bad) but often very overwhelmed. I think 6 toddlers with only one person watching them is too much.

Been using the gym here for a few years now. Always immaculately clean, and the large selection of equipment is fixed almost immediately.
The only 2 things that suck are despite it being a large gym, they have a good number of trainers that will do classes for groups and take up a good bit of space. Used to not be a problem but now they’ll have multiple good size groups running at a time and take up a huge amount of space and multiple machines. Combined with the normal crowd I’ve had to leave a few times because it’s just ridiculous.

Also I’m not a fan of the hours. Closes 2 hours early at 8 on fridays and at 6 on weekends.

Pros:

Best gym on the south shore! I'm very happy that the locker rooms are finally done. They're beautiful!

Classes are so much fun.

Had a personal training with Christos K a few weeks ago and it was great! It was a jam packed session and I was challenged in a good way. Not a minute was wasted!

Also had a session with Alex M tonight. He emailed me prior to the workout to discuss my goals and asked if I had any injures. He was accommodating when I was running a bit late. I learned to improve my form and learned some new equipment.

All of the trainers here are extremely skilled. You learn new methods from each one! Highly recommended!

Cons:

We need more evening classes on Thursday/Friday nights (after 6) and maybe a Saturday afternoon class.

This gym is far too expensive. Tried a "one day trial" here and was not too blown away. They barley have more variety than the crunch fitness up the street for 10$ a month vs the over 100 dollars a month here. The pools and closed saunas don't justify the price especially as i am a women and the womens locker room and sauna wont even be usable to me. My gym back home in California has its saunas open, has month to month memberships, one nice pool, weymouth club here, they want you to do a 6 or 12 MOnth contract. My gym back home only costs 29.99 a month and offers more amenities and flexibility. Crunch seems 2ay more logical. This place needs to fix something in their pricing their gym is not worth that much especially considering the renovation, stopping me from using basically half of what I'd be paying for. Very disappointing to say the least. A gym in Cali charging this price is a resort. This place is no resort.

I’ve been a Weymouth Club member for many years. In the past couple of years I’ve needed PT which included sessions in the warm water therapy pool. There is an entrance with an elevator with direct access to the aquatics area on the side of the building with a large level parking lot. It would make sense for people who have physical therapy and disabilities to use this entrance but it’s reserved for people with family memberships. Why??? There is handicap parking in front near the main entrance but if you don’t have a placard or handicap plates you have to park in the general parking areas, carry your full gym bag or pull it if it’s on wheels around to the front, walk up an incline to the main entrance and then walk through the fitness center or through a long hallway to the back of the building through another long hallway to get to the pool.
From the elevator entrance, it’s a short walk directly to the aquatics area and therapy pool. I talked to someone about my concerns and was told that I should get a handicap placard to allow me to park in front closer to the main entrance.
The attitude of the woman in the aquatics program office was somewhat flippant when I addressed it with her. I’ve heard the same complaint about the restrictive entrance policy from many other members who need PT, chiropractic care or who are senior citizens who have mobility issues.
We pay a lot of money for memberships. As far as I’m concerned the “exclusive” yet accessible entrance for families is an unnecessary barrier. When I saw a woman using a crutch and with her arm in a sling struggling up the hill in front of the club in order to get to her appointment or activity I was livid that such a restrictive policy is allowed.

Overall gym is ok. It’s very pricey for what it offers. The AC breaks every other week in the summer and there seems to always be some part of the roof that is leaking. The aquatic director Kathy is extremely unprofessional. Paid for 2 sessions of private swim lessons cost over $500 (only 8 lessons total). Out of the 8 , 3 had to be missed.
1) instructor was sick
2) I test Covid positive with symptoms
3) scheduled surgery.

Originally, Kathy said she could not refund or make up a class for me having covid (rather a person go Covid positive and put the entire HEALTH Club at risk!!!! Can’t do anything about the surgery even though I informed her prior to the second session even starting. (Informed a month in advance)
Said can only make up class, the one the instructor canceled.
I called back again and was spoken to like a child. I explained once again I was Covid positive therefore was not able to attend and should be given a refund or make up class.

She very rudely said I told you I would honor 1 class . I reiterated that yes she said the instructor class only. But not others.
She continuously spoke to be in a belittling manner. And was not able to provide with any available date or instructors to make up 2 classes, she will not honor a make up class for scheduled surgery, that she informed of over a month in advance. I asked for the club director and she of course states he’s not there & is aware.of this situation. As a director being aware of an unhappy consumer if think he’d call to get my side of the situation.
Stay away from this overpriced, stuck up facility.

***update***
I received a call from Jeff, the director. He was very polite and apologetic. He was never made aware of my situation. He returned my call again to inform me he will be refunding my money for the lessons missed/canceled as they are medically necessary reasons. Thank you Jeff for being respectful and handling this as a true professional, i appreciate it!!!!

My experience should've been better. Weymouth Club is a large facilities with a lot of amenities for the whole family. Because of the size of the facility their are always maintenance issues. Leaky ceilings, sauna issues, and more. The men's locker room with the sauna was under construction for 6 months and now the women's locker room will be under construction for 6 months. I have a family plan that I pay over $200 for. When I asked for ANY amount of credit or guest passes for being inconvenienced I was told "we have over 2000 members". I don't need anyone to kiss my $%^ but I don't spend my money where I'm not appreciated. Best believe I cancelled my membership.

Facility is good. I hate the customer service behavior. They tell you one thing on the phone and other when in person. They don’t tell you about extra charge but do it behind your back. BE HONEST AND TELL UP FRONT. When I called this person keeps on arguing.

Adult beginners swim class very poor. There were no private lessons and I was only allowed to schedule 4 weekly half hour group classes. There were 5 of us with different levels of comfort in the water. I learned practically nothing in the 4 weeks and there were no follow up classes. Complete waste of money.

Best place to engage our time. I went their for swimming class and it's good. As per my knowledge they have large gym, tennis court, yoga room, meditation room, aquatic center and many more. There is member only price for most of these, so check it when you want to join.

Love the gym and the facility as a whole and the staff but my number 1 complaint for years has always been the horrible hours, I work on the later side and typically weekends so I'm trying to cram in a workout before close on week days and weekends when people have time to workout they close earlier? Forget about it. The pool is great but there are always classes going on whenever I go so you get crammed into a little area so that also sucks too. Worked out ok before covid when closing was 10 during the week but now its 9. If the membership wasn't a gift to me I'd be going to Crunch down the street.

I don’t know why people would rate the club low, i guess they would have their reason. I personally have no complaint at all. It is a very nice club!! Me and my husband are on a platinum membership, and i find the pricing very fair for what it is. We love the tennis courts, the pickleball courts, the steam room and the massage chairs. We don’t really use the gym or the pool, but its ok. We are super happy, everyone in there is super friendly and you can tell they care! Give it a they and you might find that you belong! We feel we do!

You think you have a pool includet? The best hours are reserved for swimming lessons, and what is left for the other a small area for you to swim.Is tiring and stressful to se that the whole area is reserved for swimming lessons. what about people who work in the morning, afternoon ...?

This place was a second home as a kid until I went off to college. Played tennis year round for hours a day. My coach’s are great and like family’s. The Goldman’s are like a father and my kids call him uncle. Alberto is amazing. Now in mid 40’s. We still drive from Providence for a day at the pools. My kids always asks to go.

Joined this club a little less than a year ago, love the great people and the facility. The outdoor pool was great for the summer (my visiting niece loved the kiddie pool area), indoor pool was great, and the tennis classes are amazing! I love working with all the different tennis instructors: mark, jeff, alberto, anne, and mike. So happy i joined the weymouth club family.

Weymouth club is a huge place and many places inside are always open. Even though they have so much space, they choose to put all the camps into the basketball court. Me and my friends called a day before to ask if the courts were open the next day and they said yes but when we arrived the courts were taken up by little kids doing some camp. This is not the first time. It’s also not cheap, I can go to ymca for a third of the price. Not what I expected for a place this expensive. My friends and I have complained so much and they do not care at all but someone complained about someone not having a shirt on in the basketball court and they instantly put up a sign that says to have shirts on at all time.

This place is very unorganized. They complain about little things but always lie about things that are open. Today I was told the day before that the courts were going to be opened all day and the next day the court is closed all day. I would not recommend getting a membership at the place. It’s very bad.

Worth every single penny !!! So I have wanted to join the club for a long time but my husband kept holding back because he felt we wouldn’t use the membership as often as we should and he felt the expense was high considering other gym options in the area that were less expensive ( we have done memberships at other gyms). We started going to the gym because we put our kids in swim lessons here ( which by the way is outstanding we have all 3 in lessons - power aquatics and waves and our 5,3 and 1 year old ALL love it and swim great!) so I said to my husband we are already here multiple times a week we should join ! He finally agreed in January and we joined with a family membership with childcare . I can not stress enough how much we love the weymouth club - my 3 kids are obsessed with the Energy Center and all of the staff there ! You can work out without feeling guilty leaving your kids at home or rushed . The staff are outstanding and the center itself is clean , fun, and perfect for my kids. The actual gym is great - the trainers are awesome , equipment is plentiful and well maintained , I have loved all
The group fitness classes I have done - spinning, Zumba , Pilates , yoga , etc I have enjoyed every single one ! Even my husband now says he’s so happy we joined ! Lastly I just completed 90 day commit to fit program - THIS PROGRAM IS AMAZING !! My insurance covered the cost of the program and I learned so much from it , lost countless inches and a large amount of weight too! If you’re contemplating joining the weymouth club - trust me - join!!! I’m so so thankful we did !!!

I was very saddened to discover that the membership types have changed. There previously was an individual plus one child membership type which included the child care. Now you must purchase a much larger package to have childcare (energy center). The club as a whole is very pricey, however removing that option would cause someone like me to have to pay an additional $100/month to an already inflated price.
