first three times being a guest there was no problem. then all of a sudden the front desk staff switched up on me and I have to provide a parent waiver.
see, I have no problem with this; however, I've been told numerous different things in regards to how this waiver works...that I only have to get one signature from someone, and also that I have to have a parent with me, every single time, to sign for me. I am licensed and insured to drive a car. going to a gym shouldn't be as much of a hassle.

I've called other locations, and been told different—which has stayed consistent the two times I've called.

WoW Dartmouth...get your stuff together. this is a chain for a reason: consistency.

The manerger cutting locks off ur locker whenever they feel like it ,someone shirt got stolen so they cut my lock off my locker at 6 pm and left my stuff that was worth more than what got stolen then the manager starts getting loud with me cause I said I got here a hour late what if I was up stairs and came down and my lock was cut off want to see what's in my locker ask me or ur calling me a thief straight disrespectful

Whoever was working the night shift would answer the phone and immediately hang up or just let the phone ring I’m 90% sure I left my wallet in the locker room and wanted to call to see if they could check the locker or maybe someone brought it to the front desk because I wouldn’t make it there in time before closing and they just refused to answer

I seen a cockroach in their bathroom, all of the lockers are broken and theres a toilet thats been out of order for months that was never fixed. Theres also a big bald guy manager who is super rude and always angry.

DON'T JOIN THIS GYM.

Called in today to try and cancel my membership since I now live 2 hours away. I spoke with "Tony" (I think that was his name) the manager on duty who has zero interpersonal, customer service skills, or conflict resolution. I was told per my agreement that I must come in person to cancel or send a certified email to ABC the finance company. This obviously is silly as its 2024 and I now live 2 hours away, but "that's the rules". He said they can't email me a form or anything like that either for me to sign and cancel. It's obviously a scam to just keep billing people. Tony informed me that Planet Fitness makes it even harder to cancel because they require you to go to the very gym you signed up at and doesn't even give you the option to send a CERTIFIED letter. I informed him that planet fitness isn't the company I am doing business with and that I'm not concerned with what Planet Fitness does or doesn't do. Not a great business model "well at least we aren't as dumb as the other guys".
The call ended when he hung up on me literally ("call got disconnected") when I asked why he couldn't just cancel my account but his staff could change my credit card over the phone. He said they can't do that, and that I MUST have called the finance company. His staff did indeed do (look at my account history WOW) that because my previous card got cancelled several months ago so it wasn't getting charges so I called in with a new one. I of course didn't get to tell him the story because he hung up on me. When I called back and asked for him. I was told by the equally unskilled in customer service rep who answered the phone that Tony said I need to "take it up with corporate" and that he wouldn't speak to me. Childish and proof that he did indeed hang up on me. To be clear, I was definitely using a frustrated tone with Tony but there was no cursing or insults or anything other than direct frustrated questions being asked of him. I get it the hiring market is not great right now but being represented by staff like this is just bad for business. Do Better WOW. Do Better. Everyone is watching where they spend money these days.
In a world of lots of gyms don't use WOW. If this is how a managers treats a general customer.

Canceled my gym membership not only did I get charged for one month of a membership I canceled but I also got an email stating that I will be charged an extra month and the annual renewal few while waiting for my cancelation to go through takes up to 45 days no othe gym does thus but this one will never join again

Met with owner he wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea probably because he’s super passionate but well intentioned overall, fast talker, and values his business, the gym. It’s clearly his baby. If you’re too sensitive in regards to your feelings I wouldn’t join this gym but it’s not a hostile place. I use the sauna and steam room. Staff working are there to support you. Bathrooms clean. Overall, a good gym with great value. I read some reviews and my opinions are people are so hyper focused on the small stuff they should just mind their business instead of causing unnecessary problems.

Phenomenal gym! Remember when Workout World Taunton was located within that industrial park on Stevens Street? Dartmouth comes very close to that; very spacious, plenty of equipment, two floors. Awesome amenities. Co-owner/Manager is likable, personable, professional and respected by many. On a personal note, I have known him since he started as a Personal Trainer with the company. Anyone who does know him is fully aware that he keeps a clean, safe club with good vibes.

Love the environment and cleanliness of this location so much that I ditched my Platinum membership in Taunton (2016-2023) for a Dartmouth Titanium membership. Donnie, the owner and manager, is on the frontlines frequently on any given week, actively participating in greeting members, helping them with questions/membership issues and delegating tasks to the staff. He even goes as far as decorating the gym beautifully for each holiday. There are currently Christmas stockings for each employee hanging up behind the check-in station; an indication of the compassionate and generous business owner he is. I had the pleasure of witnessing him dressed up as Jack Sparrow on Halloween and Santa Clause for the kids in babysitting while there getting my workout in. Not sure if this is a Workout World thing or a Donnie thing, but I have seen the following fundraisers on display in Dartmouth. Baby Bundles: a Women United Initiative, Hearts of Hope Project, Make a Wish Foundation, and Toys for Tots. The staff members are also very friendly and helpful. I see them doing walk-throughs often to ensure cleanliness and member safety. This location also features both a full steam room and full sauna room in each of the two locker rooms (great for your skin). Other amenities include tanning of course, along with a Styku 3D Body Scanner, Hydromassage chair, hot towel service, and additional equipment not available at other locations. All except tanning are accessible to some but not all memberships. Love going here!

So far this gym is top notch. This location doesn’t have a good track record, I’m hoping this breaks that bad streak. Place is absolutely spotless, everything is clean and neat. Yes, some people don’t know how to take the plates off and return them, but, other than that it’s an awesome gym. The staff are friendly and very polite. Looking forward to when I can have a protein drink for the raid after my workout. Great gym

Cancelation policy is awful.

I got an email stating, " I apologize, but at this time, you are only eligible to cancel under move or medical condition. Proof of relocation or medical condition is required for cancellation. I have listed the procedures below for verification of what is sufficient proof of relocation or medical condition."

So I can't cancel. Cool but someone else got an email and had the option to do a "buyout option." Not sure why I didn't get that one.

I don't want to go to this gym for multiple reasons. I don't like it and I want to go to another one that's much bigger and nicer.

I've been to other gyms and all you have to do to cancel is go to the front desk.

I've been at WOW since they opened in October of 2022 and I think they are fantastic! The gym is so clean the equipment is all top notch. I work with my trainer his name is Rolando Perry he is amazing! I strongly recommend both the gym and Rolando!

Really glad I joined WOW. The machines are great and it’s very clean. Staff are very friendly and the gym has an overall welcome feel to it. I’ve been a member here since the opening week and love it! They have everything you could possibly be looking for as far as workout equipment. The sauna is / huge perk too!! And the staff is incredibly friendly.

The only suggestion I have is adding a water bottle refill station as opposed to the old school bubbler.

This gym is immaculate. Staff are cleaning constantly. Equipment is brand new and high quality (Matrix, Hammer Strength, and Nautilus). Spacious, lots of natural light. I’ve never seen it crowded. Best option in the area.
