I do not recommend this gym for many reasons. I used to go to planet fitness but decided to switch over since this was closer to my house. Recently I had an ancient where there was an individual who was bringing in a dog into the gym, no collar, no service dog vest, leash, absolutely nothing. While working out when this individual came into the gym with the dog the dog would run all over the gym while the owner worked out. I have nothing against dogs but not everyone is a dog person. Following day I came into the gym and this person was standing in the entryway of the gym with the dog in between his legs when suddenly as I was walking by the dog started to bark and was trying to come towards me. So when I left I said I wanted to cancel and they asked me why I said because I didn’t agree with how they handled the situation and how if the dog is coming into the gym it should be on a harness or something. 3 days later I come in because I’m told I still have 45 days to use me membership and I bring in a guest who I have always brought and when we were checking in they take his license and start writing down all of this information which they have never done before. Anyways save yourself people and find another gym that is professional!!

Was ready to start today. Came to read the reviews, started reading the small letters in the agreement… please people read before signing in. The membership makes it seem like you get babysitting included. Then the small letters specify $15 per kid. Seems like everyone was right with the awful reviews

Disappointed. Used to enjoy working out at wow facilities because of free weight and the commute from my house. but the urge to obtain more customers has become more and more importante than taking good care of its customers.

I Have a membership at different gym but a friend of mine talked me into joining him at this facility as his guest, went there for 3 weeks straight and a Tuesday evening was my last pleasant visit. I return to this Taunton facility on Thursday 9/26 around 8pm and guy at front desk asks me for Physical Id as they updated their policy, from Tuesday afternoon to Thursday 9pm without any notice, he told that without a physical ID he wouldn't let me use the facility, Asked him why would i care my Id to a gym that I been using for the last couple of days, hes answer was “its just the new policy, sorry”.

For the Wow team, you can do better than this, there are better ways to gain customers and please fix your water fountains, its a gym facility.

Worst gym ever first they charge you 50 dollars a month for access to whole gym when they’re equipment sucks including boxing area which is only one punching bag nothing else. also they claimed the monthly charge was 30 dollars a month but wasn’t true at all when I asked to downgrade to cheaper subscription they say I have to pay 60 dollar downgrade fee then after a while I moved to another town and asked to cancel my subscription since I haven’t been in there in about a month they said I still have to pay for another month before cancellation and pay the previous month which I haven’t entered that gym that whole month . One more thing they said they officially cancelled my subscription but they automatically took 40 $ from my account this morning even tho I thought I settled everything

Love it I love the zumba class on Wednesdays and Sundays I also like the instructor on zumba step on Thursdays I also do a Titaum class on Wednesdays and the instructor jeff is amazing as well over all I love it the people are great and have took care of ant problems I had right away the people in the daycare are amazing with my kids it is a pretty amazing gym I love it just wish they had the day care open more but no biggie it is still amazing gym ❤️

Signed up at the new location and had an awful experience right away. Small and crowded and a big downgrade from its original location. When I tried to cancel the billing company told me I have to have proof that I’ve moved or had a medical emergency. They advertise the membership as no commitment. So now I’m stuck paying for a gym I don’t use and I’m in the process of going back and forth with the billing company. They will scam you. I would highly recommend not signing up.

I am giving WOW one star for their billing practices. Be VERY careful when you sign up at WOW. Give 30 day written notice when cancelling and retain proof. The collection agency they utilize, First Credit Services Inc, are an unprofessional company and will report you to the credit bureau in one month even while you are disputing costs or trying to work with WOW. It will stay on your credit report for 7 years. No gym membership is worth that. I see that they have replied to my review below and have stated to contact them for help. It is too late for my family member. The damage has been done because Workout World uses a low budget debt collector who doesn't know how to follow the laws and rules of debt collection. As I stated earlier, NO gym is worth that.

I am definitely a person who enjoys writing reviews when satisfied with excellent service. If I could give this company 0 stars I would give 0.
I signed up for the gym in a Saturday in January and worked out that same day. I have a high risk pregnancy with twins and was told that Monday I should not be working out during my high risk pregnancy. I called the gym that day to cancel my policy (2 days later) and they told me I had to email the financial company which I did the next day. The financial company who handles billing told me they need a 30 day notice for cancellation even with it being 3 days after signing up and having a doctor telling me I cannot use the gym.
I spoke to the GM of this gym who told me there is nothing he can do, they charged me another 60$ in February for a “yearly maintenance fee” and proceeded to charge me another $40 for February. I argued with the gym that I used the facility ONCE so should not pay a yearly fee, but the GM James did not care at all.
I replaced my debit card so the month of February $40 was not billed, the gym harassed me for 2 weeks about the payment, then called and said if I do not pay that will not cancel my membership and I will continue getting billed.
The company will also not let Me speak with the CEO or anyone above the GM. This gym is a scam, has no concern or care for its members, and is crooks. I will never again sign up for any WOW facility. For the money you now pay here after pricing has gone up, you can join a YMCA for about the same price and have a pool, classes, babysitting, and much more.

I been a member of gym's going back to 1991, and this is the absolute worse.
I would give them zero stars if it was an option.
First off,it's dirty including dog hair all over the floors.
Second men's sauna never works, one bench in men's locker room is always broke, leaving one bench.
Showers are very tight, they even took the racks out where you put your shower bag.
No where to shave,just two bathrooms that have mirrors, They have four but two are always locked.
They make it as uncomfortable as possible,to move members along as fast as possible.
Staff is always rude and have bad attitudes.
Redwood training is in a clique with the staff,and target certain gym members to force them to discontinue their memberships.
When l cancelled my membership,they attempted to charge a penalty fee and continued to bill me close to two months after l had paperwork showing my membership was cancelled.
Beware,they make it close to impossible to cancel your membership.
They have you making phone calls,emails ect in addition to canceling in person at the front desk.
I have heard many stories about these problems.
The bank told me they had 12 issues recently.

Cancelled my membership on 10/3/22, received email with confirmation on my buyout via email same day on 10/3, on 11/1/22 charged $19.99 which I assume is the 30-45 day period they say they need to finalize the cancellation of membership.

WOW Taunton offers an amazing service called Redwood Training. If you sign up with them when you sign up with WOW you get so much great information and planned workouts. I'm talking nutrition, supplements, workout plans. They use science to explain why everything is important so you will have better results from the first sit down. I had some concerns with pricing but Corey made it work for me. He made sure I felt comfortable with my purchase and made sure that it made financial sense for me. He sat down with me and laid out various plans and pricing, as low as $100 a month. Started my journey with Redwood alittle over 2 months ago at the Taunton location. I joined Redwood looking to gain that confidence back to become a healthier happy me and I have found all that with the help of Coach Cory . I had a major surgery on July 19 2021 that definitely Restricts my movements and abilities to lift heavy weights and odd movements and I gave him all the information my doctor's gave me and he sat down with me talked everything over was extremely thorough and very patient with me and my injuries . Now im down 2 dress sizes and feel healthy lots of energy and motivation and to think this is just the beginning of my new journey to a brighter future .

Watch out for RedWood personal training. Do your research into that company before signing up. You have be warned…. Also, try to avoid signing a contract with WOW, I always encourage and hope others have a better experience but you have to be careful with this company. Work out World company’s ethics do not care about you or anything going on in your life, just your money. The people are nice enough but be careful with what you sign and do. Sales tactics are pushy and cold. They do not go into detail regarding plans or benefits- they just want your money. I’d be happy to work with a good Sales rep who can explain why service is worth it and help me out when I need something. Have low expectations.

I'm living in Brockton now but was living in Taunton. WOW in Brockton is 5 minutes from me and on my days off from work or if I have extra time, I drive right past the Brockton location and go to the Taunton WOW. The price is good and all the locations are open 24/7 plus holidays. I'd rather drive all the way to Taunton because it's very clean, when you're looking for a set of dumbbells you actually find them on the dumbbell rack and you don't need to search the entire gym for them. And for the most part everyone re-racks their weights, so you don't spend half your time taking someone else's weights off the machines. Both locations have very friendly staff.

The Regional Manager Donald was there today when i went and asked a question and spend atleast 20 minutes walking me around every part of the gym and telling me their plans for it. Planet fitness gives so many more amenities and is a much better fitness club than Work out world. Their place is always clean, and WOW has struggled with cleanliness even with a brand new gym…both times moving! The tanning booths are WAY better. The bulbs in the WOW booths are rarely replaced so you have 5-6 broken bulbs every time you go tanning. Planet fitness staff in Taunton is also much friendlier…front desk can be rude at wow.

Planet fitness is just 10/month for the basic membership, giving you access to the equipment and fitness training. Also free Wifi, which might not seem like a huge deal but the WIFI at WOW is really bad. WOW doesn’t even have an option for just people who want to use the equipment anymore, they used to and got rid of it which is extremely inconvenient for their prospective members. WOW no longer tailors to people who just want to come in and use the free weights, cardio, and assisted weight equipment because you have to pay the additional money, TRIPLE the cost of planet fitness, just to have access to that because you have to pay for everything else that comes along with it: Live Stream Classes, Unlimited Group Exercise Classes, 50% off of Babysitting, 50% off Cooler Beverage. None of which I need. WOW also takes a week to fix one broken treadmill and planet fitness seems to be able to have maintenance people to come in and fix it less than 24 hours. Much more on top of it!

WOW has declined over the years, and I’m sure will continue to. Join planet fitness! The place is clean, people are friendly, and equipment is updated and fixed almost immediately after broken. The tanning booths are much better. The membership options are more convenient as well. Planet fitness continues to grow and add locations while WOW is stagnant and has bad reviews left and right, it’s clear which is the better option for people as members keep flooding in to go to either PF locations in Taunton to leave the WOW. Planet fitness has a much better reputation among every member that switches, ask around!

I had one training session with Pat and although he's a great trainer I did feel like I had to take a step back. I believe that what I need is someone to show me how to use the equipment not someone who shows me how to work out. That was my mistake not Pat's. However, if you are starting out and you've never worked out before I would highly recommend going to Pat as his methods would work for someone else I just don't think that they would work for me personally. Great guy over all though. It's nice to see that someone wants you to achieve your goal and push you to be better and go past that goal.

Pat the trainer , works for red wood, was very helpful as well as patient with me today after not being in the gym for so long. Went into a lot of detail about my goals and how to achieve them and what I will need to do change and keep what I need or not. I like how they turned an old supermarket into a new gym. They made the best out of the area and it looks good! I signed up for personal training sessions right before the gym closure and even though there is no facility to obtain the sessions they refuse to cancel the contract and are still charging me. Pat seemed great at first and re-assured that I could cancel contract with 30 days notice and I am now finding out I have a 12 month contract that can't be cancel even when they can't currently provide the services which is absurd. There is no number to call for the private company WOW works with for the sessions and every email I send a response comes back with if you want to cancel you have to pay to break the contract however the contract states if they can't provide the services the contract can be terminated which is currently the case. For all the gym owners that are outsourcing to Redwood Personal Training stay away they are scammers this is not beneficial for your gym at all.

I originally would've given them 1 star because it took FOUR months to figure out how to actually cancel my account. For anyone having this problem, you need to go into your WOW and talk to their manager! That's the only way anything will get resolved. I emailed everyone I was told to email, called everyone I was told to call, sent out letters like I was told to and all of that did nothing! So I finally went in today to talk to the manager and he was amazing! He explained to me why I was still getting charged even though I cancelled it (because you need to pay for your last month) and waved everything else for me because I came in to pay for that last month. He then explained to me how I have a really good plan that isn't offered anymore so he said my account can be put on hold for six months so I don't lose my great plan but I don't really plan on going back with the way the world is going so thanks but no thanks! Long story short, go in and talk to your gym's manager for your cancellation!

I have been trying to cancel my membership for a number of months now. Trust me, I'm getting a tougher workout trying to do this than I ever did at the gym. Let's face it, they will try to make it impossible to cancel. I've written ABC, called them. Emailed WOW, and called them. I spoke to the GM, Donald. Very nice guy. But, I still can't cencell. Step 2 will be the Mass AG, then, my attorney sister. I she has to get involved it will end up not only with me being able to cancel, but I'll sue them as well.

I've been an active member of this gym for over 10 years, a consistent 10 years might I add. The way that they have handled social distancing, masks, and cleanliness of the gym during such uncertain times is superb. Never has the gym been so immaculately cleaned, and that's not to say it wasn't clean before but to know that when you walk into the gym, it's going to be a safe place for not only yourself but others. The management and staff do everything that they possibly can to enforce the CDC guidelines appropriately. This gym is my 2nd home and to know that it's being taken care of so carefully, is a testament to the management staff on hand. Thanks WOW Taunton, y'all are great!

I started my membership and the trainers were able to work with me. They help me set goals and give me their personal advice to help me make myself better and healthier. I would gladly give this gym as a referral to any friends and family wanted to make good choices. They give one on one time to help people achieve their goals without them hurting themselves and to keep it off. Changes have to be permanent not temporary.

My experience at Taunton WOW has been nothing but great. The staff for the most part are very friendly but the personal trainers is what makes this gym supreme! Used to go to a different Brand gym who advertised personal training and it’s s joke. Donald has years of experience and even better than that is he Cares!! He takes time to listen and knows what you want and how to get you there. His experience would mean nothing if he didn’t listen to you. Worth every penny!!!!!!

Thought my membership had been cancelled for roughly 6 months now. One employee told me the last step to my WOW membership cancellation was to hit unsubscribe on an email sent to me the day of. After numerous calls with ABC financial and visiting the website provided I’m still unable to figure out how to pay my 87.50 in membership fees I never utilized. If I could give abc financial a 0 star rating I would. Workout world receives 1 star from me for making it such a pain in the you know what to cancel. The system feels boarder line fraudulent and corrupt. Not happy. 👎🏼

I absolutely love this gym. There are occasional dust balls that were forgotten to be swept in the dustpan (especially in the Group X room) but the place is generally clean. Friendly staff, good quality of Group X classes, and plenty of equipment.

Great Local Gym! I have nothing bad to say about this gym. Staff greet me, as i regularly go to the gym, they are knowledgeable and always answer any questions i have. Everyone is there just to work out and every member respects one another, ive never had a problem like at other gyms. My only concern would be if they decided to close because the entire mall was just purchased by a new owner. they (the new owners) should really only keep the movies, round 1 and the gym as that area is always busy with people. The gym is very affordable even for the platinum membership which allows you to bring a guest with you when you work out. Very convenient and very affordable!

Extreme temperatures that are too hot for cardio. Working out in your living room would be cooler. There is no air moving where the cardio equipment is. Seems like staff prefers to keep it warm for their comfort while customers are risking heat stroke when attempting to get in a workout.

Gym is clean, so are restrooms but the lockers are rarely wiped out or cleaned. Some equipment needs to be updated but all in all, most of it is in good shape.
The owner only plays FOX News and NBC Sports Boston, regardless of recommendations left at the front desk. Local news would be more beneficial to see relevant updates, traffic and weather as most members are traveling to and from work. We don't care for one sided political views (FOX/CNN) or talk radio shows. Sportscenter gives all sporting highlights which is all any fan would like to see rather than listen to irrelevant opinions while in the locker room.
Any local news, channel 7, 8, 12 will give assistance to early morning attendees on travel and weather. These are unbiased channels and provide information all members would appreciate.

Worst customer service! I am already a member of a different gym, but was interested in switching and joining WOW because they offer work-out classes. After, a quick tour, I asked if I could try one of the work-out classes and they said I would have to join first. I don't understand why they wouldn't allow me to try 1 work-out class! On their website they advertise 1 FREE DAY PASS, so I'm not sure why that wasn't offered or mentioned to me! That is so ridiculous, especially when you would think they would want to try to encourage people in joining. In conclusion, I wouldn't be signing up for WOW, and will be happy to continue to stay at my current gym.

How can a new place be dirty? Dirty cardio. Disgusting bathrooms. Showers are filled with gross gunk. Floors are never cleaned. When you bring it up to staff they’ll say they’ll tell the manager but nothing ever gets done.

Maybe a well managed and staffed place like LA fitness or planet fitness would be a better fit for me. Don’t go here if you like a clean gym!

This place is so poorly run. The "managers"
are usually standing around doing nothing or sitting at a desk talking . The bathrooms are always disgusting. Clogged toilets and dirty sinks. Half of the treadmills are broken in one way or a another. I've heard 1 of 3 tanning booths was out of service for months because it needed new bulbs. Not the ideal gym at all, the only reason I go is because it is close to my home.

When you cancel your membership they keep taking it anyway, causing a big ruckus . When you try to correct it, they tell you you still have to pay the fees even though you cancelled your membership
