Franklin Y is an excellent facility with multiple offerings within, few being the gym / part time basketball court for youth, indoor walking / jogging track, exercise studio for group lessons. Franklin Y holds an elaborate line of equipment choice for exercising, along with the indoor and outdoor swimming pool.
The leaders and staff at Franklin Y are true community partners and always look out for ways of supporting the community.

Iβve always appreciated the services and programs offered by the YMCA, but I had a very disappointing experience with one of the staff members at the poolβChristina. Her tone was surprisingly aggressive and unnecessarily rude when speaking to myself. It made what should have been a relaxing visit feel tense and uncomfortable.
I understand staff have responsibilities to enforce rules, but thereβs a professional and respectful way to do that. Unfortunately, Christinaβs attitude was far from welcoming and really not in line with the values of the YMCA. I hope management addresses this, as the rest of the team has generally been kind and helpful.
I wont be bringing my child to swimming classes anymore even though is paid.

Horrible staff, they do NOTHING to accommodate their members. The studio rooms are always booked at the same time and NEVER available throughout the week for regular use by their members despite the fact that most of classes going on in the studio's are no more than 4 kids. I have continually tried to talk to them about this and that they need to manage their studio rooms betters and fairly for all, but they refuse to listen. I have had it up to here with this branch, they simply refuse to listen and cannot be reasoned with. The YMCA in Lincoln, RI is far better were they actually care about their members.

The Y is one of the most special places you can imagine. When you walk through the doors, you enter a world of caring and friendship. Everything is geared to the benefit of members, from incredible classes and gym, to the fantastic pool and it's activities. Plus, it is run by happy people who impart that feeling to everyone who enters. In a nutshell, you can't beat the Y!

Almost 5 years ago, my MS transitioned from relapsing remitting disease to secondary progressive, which there are no good medicationβs for. The only things that help me to improve and prevent progression are physical therapy, and yoga classes, aqua Zumba classes, and the gym at the Y!

Friendly staff, quality Pickleball scene, however we urge the Franklin Y to follow the example of other Y branches and offer pickleball leaguesβthere is ample demand and volunteers to run the leagues. This would be incremental revenue for the Franklin Y.

We joined YMCA, Franklin hoping for a good and welcoming environment, but the employees ruined our experience. They were rude, unhelpful, and made us feel like we didnβt belong. Instead of being professional, they treated us with disrespect every time we visited.
Even after we explained our concerns, their attitude didnβt improve. It felt like they didnβt care about their customers at all. Because of this, we stopped coming, and we are very disappointed.
I donβt recommend this place unless they seriously fix their staffβs behavior.

Title: Disappointment and Disrespectful Behavior
I enrolled my children in a swimming program, but unfortunately, the experience turned out to be a complete disappointment. The schedule kept changing, and due to a lack of clear information, we couldnβt attend the lessons despite preparing for two weeks. Every time we went, we were met with a different excuse.
When we finally insisted on joining the class as a family, the staff responded with a rude and disrespectful attitude. My 65-year-old mother struggled to get out of the pool because they wouldnβt allow her to use the stairs. Instead, she was told to crawl out from the side of the pool without steps. This was an inhumane and inconsiderate approach.
After weeks of dealing with this disrespectful treatment, we decided to cancel our membership. My children were deeply upset and heartbroken by the whole experience. As someone who went through this, I recommend being cautious to avoid similar issues.

Not to be dramatic but, the Y has changed my life. Being a SAHM can be lonely and hard and Iβm feeling the best I ever have (even pre kids) now that Iβm regularly at the Y. Every single person is so sweet and ready to jump in and help with a smile. The child watch is a game changer and the main reason I joined in the first place. Every teacher is a saint and an absolute joy. My girls love them and enjoy going to the gym βwithβ me. I get time for a good workout and relax and take my time before grabbing them and finishing our day. I can honestly say Iβm in a better place thanks to the people here at Hockomock Area YMCA. Thank you! I highly recommend this place and if you wanna check it out Iβll meet ya at the boot camp class Wednesday mornings with Jess. Youβll leave feeling stronger than ever!

I want to write about the children's summer camp at the YMCA. My granddaughter has a fun and memorable time here. Each new day is different and full of activities, from which the children receive a great boost of energy and emotions. The children not only relax, but also improve their health, visit the pool, do morning exercises. The time spent in the camp is not only fun, but also educational, and the general atmosphere encourages children to unite. Thank you to the entire staff of the camp for the fact that you treat the children with great attention, understanding, kindness and love, trying to make their stay in the camp exciting and memorable.

A very friendly place, dignified building, with folks to meet from various towns, cultures, and general backgrounds; everyone cares about community and the staff fosters that mindset. I'm a pickleball fanatic and our group is loads of fun from beginners to 'working on your 4.0'. But I see so many families with the same smile on their faces coming from the pool or walking into the well equipped gym or one of the musical/boxing work-out groups. There is something for everyone and the child watch folks, including my daughter, are very caring and love; watching your little ones while you take a needed break. Come on around... Y not?

Highest recommendations. Excellent selection and quality equipment. They have programs to fit everybody. They can help you with weight loss weight gain. They've made a healthier me and my family I was 300 lb last November. I'm 120 a year later I go to the gym every day to work out build muscle. I've never felt better. Everyone there is extremely polite and they're willing to help. They have a huge variety of children's programs, whether you're a single person or a family and they help with any budget

I use the arm bike lately. Been a member there for about 20 years. My kids sort of grew up there and now a days they meet their friends there. Both my kids learned to swim, play basketball and soccer there. It is a family oriented health spa. Several renovations have been completed over the 20 period and to me the entire complex still seems new as the day we joined. The people who work there are friendly.

My favorite is the LiveStrong/Strong program. It's a wonderful community of people that celebrates life. Our trainer, Jackie Robison is phenomenal. She provides modifications for those who need them, repeatedly demonstrates how to do each exercise, encourages us all the time and has a heart of gold. There aren't enough adjectives to describe all that Jackie does for us. I appreciate the creative workshops offered and have enjoyed helping to coordinate some of them. I've tried out a couple of other classes this summer, which has been fun. It's nice to have a wide variety to choose from.

Very dissatisfied with service...been a member for around 2 years. Ever since joining looking for activities for my pre-teen other than joining sports teams, to no avail! They supposedly offer programs for promoting exercise in kids, specially those with high BMI's, but they are only good on paper...no real help there! Spinning bikes are very old and outdated, plus they don't have a separate classroom for them (you have to carry them inside and out of a closet). Also, spinning classes are getting scarcer and scarcer (which are my favorite). Not worth the money invested!!!
