I travel around to many of the anytime fitness's in the area, this is by far the WORST anytime fitness I have ever been to...Its so dirty! There is dust bunnys and grime allover my gym shoes were literally sticky and black on the bottom from walking around in there and after handling the equipment my hands had a nasty black film on them. The equipment is not being serviced properly aswell.
please clean your gym its disgusting...

Had a mender ship since February of 24 for 20 dollars a mouth check my account today and I'm now on bi weekly but it's 20 every 2 weeks. 40 dollars a mouth for this gym is beyond ridiculous

This gym is always great. One problem is the new trainer (guy with glasses and mustache). I overheard him making fun of another gym goers clothing to the person he was instructing. NOT OK. People want a judgment free gym experience.

Edit - January 2024 - I can no longer endorse with 5 stars. The gym is under new management and there's unfortunately been a significant decline. The facility is dirty. Equipment has been out of order for many, many weeks. Lights are flickering. TVs are out. All of this combined with a notable increase in pricing. Very disappointing. Previous management was OFTEN seen cleaning and engaging with gym patrons--this doesn't seem to be the case with new management. It feels like there's a lot less pride in the facility and it's condition.

My wife and I just canceled our memberships after I personally have been a part of Anytime since 2009. We have a newborn that sleeps in a car seat while we workout for 30min to an hour. We were just told we could not have our newborn in there with us. Sad to leave the gym but I will not pay for a gym I cannot use unless I leave my son at home. My son is not bugging anyone or taking up any space or in the way. Have already been in there several time with him and had tons of positive comments from members there. Only took one employee today to end my membership after having a membership for over 14 years of being there.

I visited a few times with a friend, and one time I witnessed an oddly disturbing man who appeared to display intimidating behavior towards my friend (who has been at the gym longer than the owners) with intent. My friend said he did this to him several times and it made him sick to his stomach, almost as if the trainer was trying to give him the impression that he was a child predator. I would not recommend this club to anyone; the ownership is very questionable for hiring a man of this nature. It reflects very poorly on your reputation and yes, there were people who DID notice this behavior, and they were astonished that an employee would have the audacity to physically intimidate another member - what an absolute DISGRACE

I love Anytime Fitness gym. I like how clean they are a how I get access to any of them around the U.S. with my membership. Whether I'm in Florida or Tennessee or Michigan, I know I have access to a gym.

UPDATE 2022: Still a fantastic gym. The people who work out there are as wonderful as the owner and employees (in the Michigan location I frequent). It's always clean at my location amd has all the machines I need. Great gym!

i drive around the country. this is so far the nicest ATF i have been to. lots of verity of equipment. they have room to do classes. also have TRX and boxing. but the bathrooms were by far the best of any ATF. very clean, large, and even have a bench in there that can actually hold the weight of a human, let alone a gym beg. (most ATF have some flimsy wobbly cheep stand that you can barely put your beg on, but would never dare let even an anorexic child sit on.) they even have Q-tips and a hair dryer in there.... this place has definitely gone above and beyond the base level of just enough that a lot of ATF's do.... they also have the best "motivational sign" ever, when you first come in.... the Corny attempt at halloween jokes could use some work though. :/

Staff is friendly and wonderful. Good equipment that is very well maintained. New TV's, nice music, fresh towels, cloth equipment wipes with spray bottles (better than the typical disposable). Haven't tried the classes so I can't comment on that. I don't know the trainers that well but they seem to know what they are doing with the people they work with.

It's a nice gym, but compared to other gym options it's more expensive than the others, and you can only bring a friend during staff hours which is really inconvenient if you and your buddy want to go far a late night workout.

Pros:
Lots of cardio equipment
Decent amount of equipment variety
Facilities are always clean
Access to every facility in the world after being with the gym for 30 days or more
Staff for the most part are pretty nice

Cons:
Kinda pricey compared to other gyms in my local area that are open 24/7 Like Powerhouse Gym off Sashabaw road in Clarkston (Little to late for me) Anytime 42$/month Powerhouse $32/month with a lot more equipment and 5-6x as much room.
Don't go for the 1 year or two year contract right off the bat, you have to pay the ENTIRE thing and have no options for early cancellations.
They push really hard to lock you into a contract but REALLY read the find print close!!
Not a very ideal gym for someone who wants to get stronger, moreso for people who want to do cardio and some light weightlifting.
The gyms are just too small
Only having one power rack/squat rack makes it a huge pain sometimes, waiting on people, or people waiting on you to use the rack is really bothersome. And having only one rack is a huge disappointment in a gym!!

Conclusion:
The gym isn't bad at all if you're going there for Cardio reasons or light workouts, But if you want to go to the gym to get the most out of it, IE bench press, squat, dead lift, press, etc. Depending on the times you go you might be hard pressed having access to a lot of the equipment you need to do your exercises, If you travel a lot this would probably be an amazing gym to go to. The price is the steepest of any generic gym I've been to so far. And I got goaded into a 1 year contract without any way out of it like a $100-150 termination fee of any sort, I'd have to pay the rest of the $480 something to buy out my contract. Which feels like a huge scam. If you're going to the gym to get stronger and giving it your all I'd definitely recommend looking into it a lot more than I did and finding a gym that has adequate space and equipment for what you're planning on doing. I had asked the manager at one point if she could have the owner call me regarding my contract and this was a week ago and I've still yet to hear anything regarding that issue, So I'm quite disappointed with the management there.

I joined this club when they first opened in November 2011 and it's been a great experience. This club has allowed me to maintain interest and develop an exercise routing that motivates me to continue. I workout at anytime - day or night. The facility has top notch equipment. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. I'm in the best shape that I've been in years!!!
