My son started at Athletic Preparation in late winter, hoping to build confidence, learn how to work out safely, and get stronger for football. Signing him up ended up being one of the best decisions we could have made. He began training at 13 and is now 14, and the growth we’ve seen, physically and emotionally, has been incredible. He went from feeling unsure of himself to showing up motivated, confident, and proud of what he was capable of. He trained through track season and summer, and when he showed up for 8th grade football conditioning, he was prepared. He came in stronger, faster, and ready to compete. Last year he was 2nd or 3rd string; this year he earned a starting spot on defense for the entire season and became one of the team’s key defensive players at middle linebacker. His hard work paid off in a big way. The physical gains were great, but the biggest change has been in his confidence and overall well-being. In a world where teens are constantly navigating social media, school pressures, and everything else thrown at them, seeing him mature, handle challenges better, and feel good about himself has been the real reward. I’m incredibly grateful for Josh and the entire Athletic Preparation team. They’ve created a space where kids feel supported, challenged, and welcomed. It’s an investment, but it’s one that reaches far beyond speed and strength, it’s been a positive shift in his life.

My 10/11 year old son trained with Josh at Athletic Preparation for the better part of last year and we are so impressed with the results. I’m seeing so much confidence and drive from my daughter, since she’s started training here. She’s seeing improvements for herself and it shows. She’s asking to come to the gym with me on days she’s not training, and has noticed her endurance and strength gains. When she walked out last week, she was beaming about finally lifting more than her weight on the trap bar. She really appreciates that Josh makes sure to talk to everyone, not just about training, but getting to know the athletes as people too. Josh is really supportive and responsive to any concerns and goals the kids have and ensures parents are informed about the kids’ progress and safety while in the gym.

I had aspirations of getting stronger and faster in order to have a chance of playing college football. Over the course of the summer, I was able to shave .2 seconds off of my 40 yard dash and went up 35 lbs on my bench. Now I am playing college football at the NAIA level. I wish I trained here in high school and will be coming back in the off-season. One of the most important things I got out of training with Josh was the relationship. Over 3 months we became close and that really helped draw me into lift. It was a motivation to see him so we could get better together! He is a very intelligent guy who knows what he's doing. You would be making a huge mistake not signing up with Josh!! Can't wait to be back at Athletic Preparation!!!

I got introduced to Athletic Preparation though a friend of mine who had already been going for some time. Lets just say it was the best decision I've ever made. Its been about a year and the progress that I've made is incredible and i owe it all to Josh. Not only have I gotten stronger and faster but my confidence has risen tremendously. You just let him know what you're trying to work towards and he'll design a workout regiment that suits you perfectly. I can't wait for the upcoming lacrosse season so I can show my coach and my team how much I've grown. This blows anywhere else out of the water. I highly recommend training at Athletic Preparation.
