Great golf courses, beginer friendly par three and the 'long' course. Very family friendly and the best driving range in the area.

Bay Meadows is a phenomenal place to golf. Course is always in satisfactory condition, and staff are all friendly. The BEST practice facilites in town: by far the nicest driving range, and 3 quality practice greens with enough room to work on short game. Range grass, while it gets hit pretty hard, is always adjusted to the best grass available. The par 3 course is great for a quick practice round.
Highly recommend Ed Laprade for lessons. Iβve seen him a few times now, heβs a patient and thoughtful instructor who clearly has a desire to see students improve.
This has been my go-to range for a few years and will be for many more to come!

Great golf course, well maintained, very easy to reserve and equally as easy getting situated from the pro shop. If youβre in Traverse City and want the best bang for your buck this is the place. Came from out of town and booked a full 18 (9-hole and Par 3) , got rental clubs and a cart ran me $65. 10/10 canβt wait to come back.

Wife left a Bushnell Wingman on the cart she returned at 8:22 pm last Wednesday. No other carts on the course, and the parking lot was empty when her and her friends got done playing. For a place with βtrustβ and βhonestyβ signs out front, Iβm surprised it hasnβt turned up, especially with only 1-2 people working that evening. She called and left a voicemail, no follow-up until we reached out again. Wonβt be returning.

I used to love coming here to play a round or go to the range but they upped the prices on a basket of balls just so you can hit in the dirt. Theres no grass whatsoever and itβs uncomfortable cuz youβre going outside of the box for a scrap of grass itβs awful actually. Loud music in the building next to the range itβs ridiculous

Great course for type of golfer!! Itβs been quite a few years since hitting a course and it was a blast! Absolutely gorgeous on a sunny day. The 3 par is wonderful, great if you are trying to get a quick round in. And the 9 hole exec course is in pristine shape, and itβs actually quite very challenging. Everything about this place was great. I would definitely recommend it if youβre in the area. We will be going again!!

Nice coarse and carts didn't see a bar ? Lesson learned "family " means no golf etiquette... 2-3 grad kids per hole with grand parents that can not control them ... #sloowwplay...staff was very nice

Friendly and helpful staff, nice that you can make your tee time online. The only complaint I have is they donβt have a full 18 hole course. Great if youβre only playing 9 holes though.

Super short course, think I did 9 holes in under an hour (and Iβm a terrible golfer), but what I really appreciated was that it seemed to be a pretty accepting place, no one goes here expecting to be a pro, so when I sliced almost every shot there wasnβt any judgment.

Great course for "casual golf" I played 9 here recently with my wife, who hasn't swung a club in over 10 years! Beautiful late summer day, course in great shape, and for an "executive" course, a really nice, but actually challenging layout. My wife and i had fun, which was the goal. Recommended!

We love this place. The wife and I are early 40s and literally just started to 'try' and play golf.
We are pretty terrible. However we have a terribly good time and make playing bad look fun. We have 2 younger boys and they come with most of the time to hit balls. Bay meadows lends them a nice set of clubs every time, no charge.
We have spent way to much money driving range balls over the past 3 months, but am happy to say we are much better than when we started. Practice really makes a difference. Balls are going somewhat straight, and most have left the ground...along with buckets of dirt and grass (sorry).
The driving range layout is very nice and easily allows us beginners a chance to feel accomplished putting a ball near a close flag. We spend lots of time at there putting green as well, turn into a mini gold game with the kids.
We finally decided to 'get serious' and play a 9 hole round early evening on a somewhat rainy mid week day when no one else was around so we would not hold them up. We had a blast and definitely got our money's worth in hits per hole...
Can't say enough good things about the staff here. Very friendly and always inviting. It is definitely a judgement free course.
We look forward to spending more money there in the future whacking balls.

Played the Blue course @ Bay Meadows on Sunday morning. $27 to ride and my fiancΓ©e tagged along free of charge. I was pleasantly surprised with this course as almost everything was in tip-top shape (i.e., greens, fairways, etc.) and it was very hilly and picturesque in parts. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the back tees on the Blue course are almost an afterthought. On more than half of the holes, you are hitting from a very small tee box that (apparently) doesn't deserve the same conditioning that the other tee boxes do. In some cases, the "window" to hit through is crowded with overhanging trees. And for hole #5, I am not even sure there is a proper way to drive up to the Blues tee box by cart. Regardless, I really enjoyed my round at Bay Meadows and hope to be back soon to take advantage of their practice facilities and play another round or two -- although, maybe from the Whites this time ;).

Been going there since Mike bought it. It's improved 100%. My grandson and I have been working with Travis at the learning and we have improved considerably. My wife loves the place, it's definately a "Family Golf Course" however you low handicapers come on up and play the Blue tees from either course and leave woundering what happened to my game I didn't score there. It's for everyone.

This place is great! I recently started golfing and whenever I come by they are super friendly, they have a great range (both grass and turf) and the golfers that go there are always friendly and understanding of newbies that take a little longer than veteran players to finish a hole. great place to learn and relax!

I have so far only used the driving range, but there were plenty of spots (both grass and mats) with lots of greens and flags to aim for. Nice, quiet setting away from the road in which to hit. Will be my go-to driving range from now on.

They keep the course in excellent condition. Much better than most golf courses in the area. Yes, it's short, an executive course, but that makes it perfect for walking. Mike and his staff are very friendly and always helpful. We are lucky to have a place like this that is family freindly.

Good course, sadly it's an executive golf course with short holes. If you are new to the game or want to take your family out for a round, this is the place to go. If you are looking for a regular 6,000+ yard course, look else where.
