This studio is fantastic! Zumba classes are fun, adult classes are fun, and my kids love their classes as well. The choreography, music, and costumes are always impressive. The competition teams are SO good and a pleasure to watch!

I love CCD, I have been taking dance classes here for 2 years this is my 3rd year. The teachers, coaches and staff are very nice. Amazing dance recital. The dance costumes I got were gorgeous. The snacks bar is really good. The only problem is that the acro program is not the best. The acro teachers are nice but don’t teach acro they just expect us to go and do a hard tumbling pass without teaching or spotting us. The acro classes have sometimes more students then in my classes in school. I think they need to fix the acro program but the dance program AMAZING!!!

This place has been fantastic for my now 5 year old. I started her in their 4 year old class last year and miss lyssa was fantastic, then summer we did a acro class and again fantastic this year she's in tap and ballet with Ms Shannon and I can't remember the other teachers name and my daughter loves them all.

The only negative I can think of is classes end at the time the next class begins so it's a mad rush to get shoes changed and to the next class. The teachers are understanding but it's mildly irritating as a parent to try to get your 5 year old to focus to change shoes to get to the next class. And that is the ONLY negative still a 5 star experience for me.

If your child doesn't begin dance at CCD, the chance of them getting on the competition team are very unlikely.
We saw CCD perform years ago. Decided then if we ever decided to move studios, we'd make the drive and go there. Did that 3 years ago, racing to get her there after work, sitting for 3-4 hours for her to take 4-5 classes.
According to her teachers, she is a good dancer and was even moved up into some older groups. But she wants to compete as she had at our prior studio. We were told each year that there wasn't room on the team. I asked over and over if there was something she was lacking and the response was always there isn't room on the team because of size. If your child didn't start there very young, there's no space for you. It doesn't matter how good they are since joining the team is by invitation only.
My child loved the instructors and the friends she made, but we wasted 3 years of her hard work, my time and her heart is broken.

We've been going to central city dance for 2 years. The teachers (most of them) are just incredible. The staff is absolutely amazing,kind and so helpful. The kids all really seem to enjoy going here. Their competitive teams are amazing! The studio is always clean, bright and ready. I am really glad I discovered this place for my daughter.

My family absolutely loves Central City Dance. We have been with them since 2010 when our middle daughter started preschool ballet at the old building before they expanded to where they are now. We highly recommend CCDC! We are blessed to be a part of the CCDC family!

We have been with CCDC years and it has become my daughters second family. My boys enjoyed taking hip hop classes and I loved the adult classes!. Great place for everyone!

On Friday night we were there to celebrate and watch my amazing daughter...however one of the competition moms sat in the middle of our row continuously getting in and out, in the middle of dancing, one time it was during my daughters dance. I get to see her dance on the big stage one time of year, the recital should be about the hard work these students have done and not all about how awesome the competition teams are. Go to this studio only if you plan to pay a pretty penny to have your child be on competition, if not your child gets put on the back burner.

Central City Dance was extremely remiss in preparing my 4 year old daughter for her recent ballet and tap recital. It makes me question what was going on in class. I have video of both classes unable to do the routine without looking in the mirror or at the teacher after eight months of class. In the video, the teacher doesn't even use the correct dance terminology. The words Plié, Releve and Passe were in one of the routines and my daughter did not know what those words meant. I have taught toddlers detailed routines in less time with precise results. If I had students in my care for eight months with no visible result, my abilities and commitment would be in serious question. It was so evident during the recital performance that the girls were lost. I had to teach my daughter the steps so that she could feel confident on stage. When you look at the show video, she is the only one doing the routines. Besides my regret of wasting over $650 on this "dance" program, I regret that I could not publically let people know that my daughter's performance was a result of the work I put in. I informed them about the lack of education but this behavior has been allowed to continue. More parents need to speak up about this so expectation for the dance education of children can change.
