Highly recommend Elizabeth! I am getting the body work I need and I’m proud to say I am looking GOOD!
Thank you Elizabeth for pushing me and keeping me at it! I love my weekly routine at the club and enjoy everything they have to offer at this location.

John consistently goes above and beyond in his role. Any concern I raise is addressed promptly, and he always keeps me informed of current specials or upcoming changes at the gym. His dedication to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment is evident..whether it’s tidying the gym, fixing a hanging door, or repairing a soap dispenser, John takes initiative to ensure everything runs smoothly.

His reliability, attention to detail, and proactive communication make him a tremendous asset to the company!

This place is amazing!! Pretty impressed with all of the classes. My favorite part is the recovery area with the red light and compression. Plus I just found out they are putting a Hyrox training center in here. Have to say, the 1-2 stars about basketball closing for Hyrox is lame. Hardly ever see people playing basketball here. Hands down the best deal in town for all you get here.

For a club that advertises “premium amenities,” this place really falls short in a lot of areas. I was willing to overlook the dingy showers with worn grout, soaps that somehow make you feel dirtier after using them, a sauna floor that looks like it survived the running of the bulls, a strange lack of a weight scale, and the barely tolerable (and way too loud) playlist of the same 15 remixed pop songs clearly curated by a DJ running on a cocktail of coke and Adderall. And then there’s the towel concierge, which is inexplicably stationed outside the locker rooms, occasionally forcing you to get redressed in sweaty gym clothes and trek back down the hall if you forget to grab one on your way in.

But what pushed me to write this review was the lack of transparency about the basketball court being converted into what I’m now told is a Hyrox space. I was previously assured multiple times this wouldn’t happen, only to find out through a third party that it was suddenly moving forward. One of the main reasons I joined this gym was the basketball court. It was already frustrating that part of the court was used as storage for months after the gym opened, making shooting around tedious and pickup games completely impossible.

The only reason this isn’t a one-star review is because the classes and new exercise equipment are solid. The instructors are great, and the class variety is genuinely good. Still, that’s not exactly unique; plenty of other gyms offer the same or something similar at this price point. Even with the equipment, it would be nice to have a more complete kettlebell set with weights that go beyond 50lbs. The slam ball selection, however, is fantastic.

Overall, the gym has potential, but the lack of communication and disappointing facility upkeep really bring it down. That said, I hope it can correct these missteps, honor the commitments made to members, and actually deliver the level of integrity and quality it originally promoted.

My experience at Club Studios has always been fantastic - but especially at this location! I was traveling there for work and happened to pop in due to the good reviews I read - and they delivered! I was greeted with a warm welcome from the front desk which really set the tone for the rest of my experience. The people who really stood out to me were - Allie, Angel, John and Elizabeth. I believe they’re the managers of this club. They answered all my questions and took me on the best tour showing me everything they offered. It felt more like a community rather than just a place to work out which I loved. There isn’t anything that they don’t in terms of what I’m looking for in a gym! Clean amenities, clean and organized workout floor and beautiful studios. I am on a specific workout plan and they had all the equipment I needed. I even tried the cryotherapy which is something I will definitely be using because recovery is extremely important and I don’t do enough of it. They gave me a ton of information and were so helpful and were not aggressive which I appreciated. I’m so glad I joined and I’m a part of the Club Studios squad! Can’t wait to come back!

Really disappointed that the gym is removing the basketball court — it’s the main reason I joined. The court would have been used far more if the basketballs were actually maintained; they haven’t been replaced in six months and all are unusable. Instead of removing the court, it would make more sense to fix the showers, which have had flies in them since I became a member. The gym has great equipment, but removing the court will force me to switch gyms.

Poorly managed club, the premium standard is not being upheld.

For being a new club, showers are outdated, tile is scummy and the drains smell. Soap dispensers do not work frequently and shower liquids are not refilled. What are we checking at the end of each day?

I have seen a box of tissues twice but they did just add Q-tips, which I am sure wont be replenished once they run out. The amount of dust in lockers and on the gym floor is not ideal. The sauna floor is tore up.

I thought club studio offered basketball leagues and pickleball leagues? Pickleball courts can only be used during weather permitting months. Yet we will still pay the same as all other locations that include these types of things.

The club is small and there is no room for expansion if ever needed. Apparently they are now taking over the basketball court for a Hyrox area when this is already offered as a CS4 class. How are we losing amenities? Not to mention they kept storage on the basketball court for two months...

My final gripe is that the gym lacks culture and a community feel. The tigers were in the playoffs and nobody had the awareness to put the game on 1 of the many TVs. My local edge would of had it on every TV... Something this small does make a difference.

There should be a standard that a "premium" gym is held to when I pay $200+ a month.

2 stars because the CS4 class and instructors are great. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

There is no way this place aligns with what Corporate expects out of a Club Studio location.

Hopefully this feedback helps but I doubt anything will change and it will eventually drive people away.

This place is just a LA Fitness with make up.

The gym floor has little to no variety as it pertains to different exercise machines. The bathrooms/showers need to be completely renovated as well. It’s a rarity of the sauna is functional on multiple days in a row - and when it is, it never gets hotter than 160 degrees. Now they are turning the basketball court into a Hyrox facility?

I do appreciate the classes that are offered however.

Switched from Life Time thinking this would be an upgrade, sadly it has been underwhelming to say the least.

The whole idea when I dropped my other gym to join Club Studio was to pay more of a premium for higher value and a better experience. At first, it was exactly what I anticipated; high end gym equipment (All Technogym machines) great workout classes, and a clean facility with room enough for everyone. Sadly, in a short amount of time, that experience has changed.

The quality of the classes has dropped and have almost become repetitive & lackadaisical. After repeated suggestions of turning down the blaring techno music over the loud speakers, that still hasn't changed. The cleanliness of the facility has become a huge concern as well. Equipment & gym floor not being maintained or cleaned daily by staff, and let's not forget the men's locker room. Wet towels everywhere, half the soap dispensers are empty, and the showers are grimy, including mold on the tiles, flies in the corners, and water pressure that imitates a child blowing bubbles.

To top it all off, the most devastating change is the closure of the basketball court. I myself play in a weekly AM drop-in game, and it truly has been a thrill, and a nice change for a workout. All of that is no more. Rumor has it they are closing it for a "Hyrox" room, which we all know is a fad set-up to fail. Here today... gone tomorrow.

For the price of membership at this gym, I truly expected better. The staff does seem cheerful and that they're willing to listen. I hope they can take this feedback and make this gym about the MEMBERS, not the powers that be.

Current Member - Frustrated and Reconsidering Membership

I want to start by saying there are things I genuinely enjoy here - the classes like CS4 are great, and the gym floor is well-maintained and has good equipment. That's why I've stuck around despite growing frustrations.

However, I just found out they're removing the basketball court with zero communication to members, and honestly, this might be what pushes me to leave. There are tons of members who use and want to keep the court - why wouldn't you tell anyone before making this decision? This feels like a bait and switch with the people paying to be here. Major facility changes deserve advance notice and explanation - finding out after the fact feels disrespectful.

What's Been Building:
The locker room situation has been an ongoing issue. Soap dispensers - both hand soap and body wash/shampoo - are empty far too often. I've gone over a week having to use shampoo as body wash because they're not keeping up with basic restocking. But hey, they did recently add Q-tips - finally addressing the real problems! Nothing says "luxury gym" like a $2 box of Q-tips while half the soap dispensers are empty.

And then there are the flies. Flies coming out of the shower drains. It took over a week for them to deal with it last time, and now they're back. At a premium gym, this shouldn't happen once, let alone be a recurring problem. The shower amenities overall are underwhelming compared to other gyms charging similar rates.

When they took over from LA Fitness, they kept the old tile flooring instead of updating it. It was already worn then, and it feels like that decision set the tone for how maintenance is handled here - taking the cheaper route.

My Hope: I really want this place to live up to its potential. The classes are fun, the equipment is solid, but the lack of communication and inconsistent upkeep make it hard to justify the premium price. Management - if you're reading this - please start keeping members informed and maintain the basics consistently.

Overall it’s a solid gym. I’ve been going for 2-3 months now. Good class selection, brand new equipment, and a good atmosphere to the place. The showers are very sketchy however (bugs/grimy/old). The sauna is nice when it’s working, but since joining it’s been shut down a few times particularly on weekends. Not a huge deal but inconvenient when that’s the time most people choose to go. If they updated the showers to be clean and functional that’d be a big lift. This place is way too expensive to not have clean spaces 24/7.

There’s rumors they’re going to take away the basketball court and make it into something else. That would be a big mistake as there’s an ample amount of people who utilize the basketball court on a daily basis. They’d be better off covering the pickleball courts so they can be utilized during the wintertime, we do live in Michigan after all right? Maybe it was a zoning issue or something but that seemed silly to me and a missed opportunity.

As a paying member, I am compelled to express my deep disappointment with the recent conduct and conditions at Club Studio. What was marketed as a premium facility has, in practice, begun to operate with a troubling lack of transparency, consistency, and basic upkeep.

First, members were explicitly assured that the basketball court would not be shut down. This was communicated clearly and repeatedly. Yet that guarantee was abruptly reversed without adequate notice or explanation. For many members — myself included — this was not a minor amenity but a core reason for joining. The decision itself is frustrating, but the lack of candor is worse.

Similarly, when Club Studio promoted the inclusion of pickleball as part of the standard membership offering, that representation influenced my decision to join. Only later did the gym decide to impose an additional charge, contradicting what had been promised. Altering terms after securing members’ commitments is not only unprofessional; it borders on deceptive practice.

Compounding these issues is the state of the facilities themselves. The tiling and showers have deteriorated to the point of being consistently unhygienic. For a gym positioned as a high-end fitness environment, the lack of maintenance is unacceptable.

Taken together, these actions reflect a pattern: assurances are given, relied upon, and then quietly withdrawn; conditions that should be basic standards are neglected; and members are left to absorb the impact. It is not merely disappointing — it shows a failure to honor commitments made to the very people who keep the business running.

I hope Club Studio corrects course, upholds its representations, and restores the level of integrity and quality that members were originally promised. Until then, I cannot recommend this facility in good faith.

This place was very well maintained when I first joined in April. Look how dirty the room floors are. They never vacuum the floors unless I go tell them to. Literally, the same clumps of hair and dust has been sitting there for a long time. Even though sometimes when I tell them to come vacuum, they do not do a good job. And they want us not to wear shoes on the floors! I take pictures of dust and clumps of hair every day!!!!
Faucets and soap dispensers do not work properly. They “renovated”, but does not seem like it.
I go there for Sydney. She is the best pilates instructor. Chelsea is horrible, I do not know why she is even there. Mary needs to wear a microphone, as it is hard hearing her while exercising under loud music. So annoying!

It’s a nice gym with good classes and instructors, but I’m giving it 1 star because of their extremely rigid cancellation policy. If you don’t cancel within 12 hours, you’re automatically charged a cancellation fee—no exceptions, not even for inclement weather. I had signed up for a Sunday morning class and woke up to unexpected snow. Since I live a bit farther away, I called to see if I could cancel without penalty, but they said no, and I was still charged. When I spoke to a manager in person the next day, she told me, “That’s just our policy, you need to make your own accommodations and check the weather.” How am I supposed to predict unexpected snow? It’s disappointing because the gym is already overpriced, and a little flexibility and understanding would go a long way in customer service.

Mike is such a sweetheart, I felt a bit out of place coming in at my fitness level and on a guest pass, but he has great vibes all around and made me feel welcome but not pressured into staying for any kind of sales pitch. The space and equipment are great, however, the showers are atrocious. The water pressure is abysmal and the temperature fluctuates wildly. Half of the sinks in the men’s locker room and most of the water fountains don’t function properly either. While Lifetime offers a full amenity station, all this facility offers is leftover LA Fitness soap. I’m genuinely confused why they made it to the 90-yard line only to fumble at the goal.

This gym has everything except a decent cleaning crew.

The showers are the only part of the facility that were not renovated, and it shows. They still have soap scum left over from when it was an LA Fitness, most of the grout between the tiles is missing, they smell terrible, and there is even a sewer fly problem.

When I brought this up to the manager, they brushed it off by claiming the showers are “deep cleaned every day.” That cannot be true, because the same piece of trash sat in the same shower for three days in a row this week. If that is their idea of deep cleaning, they should be asking for a refund or at least hire someone who actually monitors cleanliness and deals with trash and flies.

Overall, the dismissive and defensive attitude toward a legitimate complaint says a lot. Cleaning showers has GOT to be more effective than pretending they’re clean.

Love the classes though!

If it wasn't for the classes I wouldn't go. For this to be upscale its very behind in many aspects.. I was over charged and was told its just how they do things when ppl put their accounts is frozen. So I asked if its stated in the CONTRACT that you guys can up prices to those on your account when the main person is frozen, ITS BEEN 2 MONTHS... nothing... that's because it not there. I was told a few times I would be getting my money back but they can only contact the corporate in Cali. But if you call that office they refer you back to MI location. Then I got charged an extra $129 the next month for one of the accounts that were no longer under me. I did receive that two days later but still waiting for the 1st over charge. Basically I had to get my bank to refund it! I see why LA Fitness have closed so many gyms.

Recently noticed a push to make all of the Pilates classes more challenging and I’m not sure what’s going on with that. I go to certain instructors specifically BECAUSE they focus on things like form and mobility OVER intensity, which is my understanding of how classical Pilates is taught. A lot of people go to Pilates for body rehabilitation, not annihilation 🤷‍♀️ But lately I’ve seen and heard that there is an effort to focus on pushing high intensity classes. That would be a big disappointment, please don’t do this!!

This is the most humiliating gym experience I’ve ever had. Today, while working out with my girlfriend and my brother — both simply following my lead — I was accused of “training” them without cause. We made it clear we were just working out together. They continued to harass us, trying to force us to leave. We refused because we did nothing wrong. Hours later, I received a call saying my membership was closed without explanation.

This wasn’t about gym rules — it was about racial targeting. Liz is the most low-key racist person I’ve encountered in a fitness space. I pay to be here like everyone else, yet I was treated as if I didn’t belong from the moment I walked in.

If you value respect, equality, and a welcoming environment, avoid this place. They will discriminate, humiliate, and remove you for no reason.

Unprofessional. Biased. Disgraceful.
I even have a video of liz rilling her eyes because her co worker john said we did nothing wrong and she was so pissed he didn't want to kick us out.

The showers are very old and dirty - it appears they never had a deep clean from when it was LA Fitness. The water pressure is weak, and temperature fluctuates drastically. The soap they provide is the same cheap stuff that LA Fitness uses - same bottles and all.

I emailed my concerns and was completely dismissed by Jarod - the manager. Jarod says the showers are "deep cleaned daily"... the picture shows otherwise.

The equipment is nice and new (for now) but for the price of this gym, and it claiming to be a luxury club, I would expect cleanliness to be a top priority, and if not, at least good customer service. They are lacking both.

The equipment is solid and well-maintained. However, the layout feels cramped — they’ve packed in as much as possible, which makes it difficult to navigate between machines and free weights, especially when the gym is busy.

Facility was remodeled well, however lacks natural light on the gym floor.

Unfortunately, the showers are still the old ones left over from when it was LA Fitness — outdated and not well-maintained, which detracts from the otherwise clean facilities. Another issue is with class attendance tracking: I’ve been incorrectly charged no-show fees for classes I actually attended. While refunds were eventually issued, the process took weeks and communication was lacking throughout.

I had high hopes when I signed up for Club Studio in Troy, MI. The facility looked great, and I was ready to invest in my health. But all of that was immediately overshadowed by the behavior of one staff member — Nancy, who also works at the Vuori store in Somerset Collection.

Nancy was blatantly disrespectful, dismissive, and carried herself with a level of arrogance that made it clear she believed she was above everyone else — including paying members like myself. She went as far as gossiping about me to other employees, spreading false and inappropriate rumors behind my back. It was completely uncalled for, unprofessional, and made me feel so uncomfortable that I stopped showing up altogether. No member should ever be made to feel that way — especially by someone who’s supposed to represent the brand.

I’m shocked that Fitness International allows someone like this to be the face of their front desk. Nancy's behavior wasn’t a one-off — it was targeted and personal. Her conduct not only ruined my experience, it left me questioning how seriously this company takes member care and internal professionalism.

Club Studio should take a hard look at who they choose to represent their business. As long as people like Nancy are working there, I won’t be returning — and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else either.

I have yet to receive a call back about my account.
I have spoke to TWO different managers, one who “supposedly” issued my refund (never received it) and another one who said he would look into it and call me back… Calls are recorded and I have yet received my refund or a call back. I’m only leaving this review to hopefully have someone higher than the front staff reach out to me.

Going to Club Studio Fitness was such a great experience! I had a free pass to take a class, and I chose the ride class with Kyle as trainer, and it was so much fun! He brings so much energy to the class that you forget you're actually doing a workout. He was also extremely helpful in getting my bike set up. The gym is impeccable, and the facilities are outstanding! I never thought I would enjoy going to a gym as much as I did at Club Studio Fitness!

The reviews will make you very leery about coming to this gym but some of the reasons are not legit reasons for a bad rating. This gym is great. It’s clean, the members are super friendly, the staff is cool, there’s a juice bar, several classes and dyson dryers in the bathroom. There’s even a med spa that takes both appointments and walk ins. Disregard the negativity and see for yourself. I think you’ll be pleased. The price is on par with the environment. I love it.

The facility, to a degree, is phenomenal. However, the so-called upscale aspect they use to brand themselves is substandard. It’s evident that profit is a primary focus and while that’s understandable in business, it’s become increasingly noticeable. The consequences of this approach are evident in virtually every facet of the facility’s experience, extending well beyond just operations, sales, or studio programming.

Fortunately, much of the staff makes up for this lackluster attempt. Sales, janitorial staff, coaches and trainers are the main reason attending is still worthwhile. Nonetheless
It appears from observation they hire young women who often gossip with members, spend more time chatting than actually working and disappearing frequently when needed.

The operations manager is diligent with member services to say the least but extremely ineffective at managing his staff and operations. It’s unclear why he was considered a good fit for this role.

I applaud sales which can be challenging and the cleaning team, especially given the company’s obvious unwillingness to invest in remodeling the locker rooms, restrooms, and showers. There was a young man who once oversaw much of the cleaning. He was doing fantastic work, but he no longer seems to be around. This suggests that poor decisions are being made consistently.

Overall, the leadership, profit-driven mindset, and their definition of “luxury” are all in serious need of improvement.

Club Studio Fitness is truly the highlight of my day! From the moment I walk through the doors, I feel energized and welcomed—and a huge part of that is thanks to Allie, the studio coordinator. She is always warm, kind, and makes every visit feel personal. Her energy sets the tone for the entire experience.

The studio itself is incredible—clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The class variety is unmatched, but I especially love the yoga classes. They’re calming, challenging, and leave me feeling centered every time.

Every instructor I’ve encountered has been fantastic, and the community vibe is strong here. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about your experience. Club Studio isn’t just a gym—it’s a place I look forward to showing up for every day.

Equipment: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The gym has excellent equipment - everything is well-maintained and up-to-date. You’ll find all the machines and weights you need for a solid workout.

Hours: 0/5
Absolutely terrible hours. The gym closes way too early and has very limited availability, making it nearly impossible to maintain a consistent workout schedule. This is a major dealbreaker.

Staff & Members: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The people here are genuinely great - both staff and fellow gym-goers are friendly and helpful. The community atmosphere is one of the few bright spots.

Overall: ⭐⭐
Despite having great equipment and wonderful people, the horrific operating hours make this gym practically unusable for most people. It’s frustrating because it could be a fantastic gym if they just extend the hours.

ClubStudio is hands down one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to, offering a fantastic range of amenities that cater to everyone’s fitness needs. The equipment is always top-notch, and there’s a great variety of classes, from yoga to high-intensity interval training. What I absolutely love about this place is the outdoor pickleball courts. I get to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine while playing a game I’m passionate about, and the atmosphere here is always vibrant. It’s clear the gym is well-maintained, and the staff are generally friendly, making it an all-around great place to work out. The other staff members, especially those who help with daily operations, are always accommodating and make sure my experience is enjoyable. They’re always willing to lend a hand, give advice on workouts, or answer questions about membership. Even when the gym gets busy, they manage to keep things running smoothly and make sure everyone feels welcome. The salespeople also know their stuff and are straightforward about what’s included in memberships, making the whole process easy and transparent. However, I’ve had a really frustrating experience with one worker, Nancy. Unfortunately, she has been rude and unprofessional during every interaction I’ve had with her. It seems like she’s constantly trying to overcharge me for things that aren't even part of my contract. I’ve brought this up with her a couple of times, but she’s been dismissive and unhelpful. It’s honestly shocking because everyone else at the gym has been nothing but friendly and polite.
What’s especially frustrating is that the rest of the staff, especially the ones who help with sales like Mike, have been amazing. Mike, in particular, is someone I’d recommend anyone work with when signing up or looking for upgrades. He’s super knowledgeable, kind, and makes sure you understand every detail of the contract and what you’re paying for. I don’t have any complaints when it comes to him; he’s always been professional and makes the whole experience smooth. I would definitely recommend ClubStudio to anyone looking for a great gym experience, especially if you enjoy outdoor activities like pickleball. The gym itself is a great place to work out, with excellent amenities, helpful staff, and a positive, welcoming vibe. But, as much as I love the gym, it’s hard to ignore the negative interactions I’ve had with Nancy. If you’re planning to join or need assistance, my advice would be to avoid her and work with Mike or any of the other friendly staff members. It’s just unfortunate that one person’s attitude can leave such a bad impression on an otherwise amazing facility. Still, I’ll keep coming back because the overall experience has been so good, and I genuinely enjoy being here. I hope management takes note of Nancy’s behavior, as it doesn’t align with the otherwise high standards this gym upholds.
ClubStudio has a lot to offer, and I’m really happy with the gym as a whole. The only downside is the interaction with one staff member, but that doesn’t overshadow the fact that it’s a great place to get fit and have fun, especially with pickleball. Just make sure to avoid any issues by working with the friendly, professional staff members, and you’ll have a great experience.

Especially Great for Group Classes!
This is written based on my own experience and my opinion and preferences may not match yours.

Overall
The gym has a really nice feel to it. They didn’t update everything from what I can tell and its definitely on the smaller side, but for me it would be mainly about the classes and in the future pickleball once they offer it. I had a great time, and I am looking forward to returning!

Classes
I signed up for one of the yoga classes and you can tell why they have the strict late/cancellation policy. The classes seem super popular, and every single spot was taken during my class. Spots are assigned on the floor, and it is tight in the Sweat+ room, but the instructor was fantastic.

Pricing
I get a discount through my insurance which is a huge plus. My main classes will be the yoga classes and in comparison, of how much Id have to pay for an unlimited plan at an ‘actual’ yoga studio, Club Fitness clearly wins (based on my opinion and preferences).

John, the Assistant GM, messaged me after I signed up for the Free Pass, and he met me before the class for a quick walk through the gym. He was super nice, took the time to show me everything and was overall super personable, even after I told him I was using a discount through my insurance. Definitely recommend asking for him for a tour, he was awesome!

Changing Rooms
Showers: I will agree with the previous comments, that the water pressure is not great. It takes a while to get hot and the pressure changes frequently, especially when someone flushes a toilet. There are 8 showers in the changing rooms, which is not a large number, but I had no issues getting a shower after the class I took. Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Wash do feel on the cheaper side.
Flooring: I would say solid. Honestly expected worse based on the reviews. Not amazing, but totally fine.
Hair dryers: Somebody had mentioned that they don’t work majority of the time and that is what I expected but then learnt that you actually have to add an attachment to the dryer in order for it to function. I had no clue and probably would’ve assumed they just don’t work if I hadn’t asked. Instructions may be nice.
Towels: Yes, they are on the outside, but I just grabbed 2 on my way in and was totally fine.
Sanitary Items: There are none which is a disappointment.
Sinks: Half the sinks/soap dispensers by the toilets where not working or not properly working. Should be checked.

Cons
Only negatives/missing things for me are the lack of sanitary items in the bathrooms, a missing childcare center (while I know that’s a luxury option, the price of a ‘2 people plan’ comes close to that of LifeTime and they do have a childcare center) and that the pickleball leagues are not set up yet, but the courts are nice!

For review reference I’ve had an all-access Lifetime membership (Troy, Rochester, Bloomfield) and belong to Equinox. Thought I’d check this place out since it’s closer to me than Equinox. I honestly can’t believe how they half-assed the remodel. Premium pricing for a dirty LA Fitness with new signage. The locker rooms were so disgusting, defeating, and dirty that I knew the second I walked into them I wouldn’t be joining. The hours are really bad too. I can’t believe that they went through the trouble of shutting down the decrepit LA Fitness just to barely change things besides the name.

Nancy (lady with iPad who sometimes check people in) is the most unpleasant person. Lost 3 of my friends who wanted to join because of their experience with her as well. Nobody likes her, and people hate being in the gym when she’s there (from many members). I have also considered canceling because of her and how many times they “accidentally” charge my card.

The only reason I have stayed is because of Aya and Juan. They make the experience better, and I look forward to seeing them. Kyle’s ride classes are amazing, and so are Emma’s Pilates classes. Without these, I would not still be here because of what I have been through here while paying over 280 a month.

Great Staff, but Significant Room for Improvement

I want to commend the staff for their excellent service; they truly deserve 5 stars. However, several issues need to be addressed.

1. Weekend Hours: The gym closes at 6 PM on weekends, which is quite early. When I signed up for my membership, I wasn't aware of this limitation, and it feels unreasonable given the membership cost. No steam room💔
2. Shower Issues ADA SHOWER: The hot water in the shower is inconsistent. It starts cold when you turn it on hot but becomes hot when switched to cold. Additionally, when someone flushes the toilet, the water pressure drops significantly, making it difficult to enjoy a shower.

3. Lack of Essentials: I was surprised to find that there are no basic items available, such as tampons deodorant, TISSUE, make-up remover, Listerine, or even cotton swabs. These small conveniences can make a big difference in the overall experience.

4. Cancellation Policy: The $15 cancellation fee is concerning, especially if members are unhappy with the service.

It’s a beautiful facility, but the management and customer service is just not there yet. They lock the doors right on the dot which I think is ridiculous on its own, and on top of that, you will be charged $10 for a “late cancel” or $15 for a “no show”. It’s ridiculous. You’d think with how much a membership costs here, the staff could be considerate and mindful of that. It’s all a money grab. It looks glamorous on the outside, but when you take a deeper look into how the management operates, this is not worth your money. Better off going to Lifetime. Also- the lady with the iPad that checks people into classes (black hair) is the RUDEST most unprofessional person in the club house. She has the most awful attitude for no reason at all and can’t help you with a single issue.

Don’t waste your money just because it’s pretty or luxurious. They portray it to be that way but they don’t know how to operate.

Great idea but very poorly executed. Recovery center closes at 8pm so if you get off work any time after 4pm don't waste your money. When confronting managers about the situation they say they are taking data from check-ins to see if it should be open later but how do you collect data to see if the equipment is being used from 8-9:30pm if its not open. Was using the punching bags Sunday when a gentleman entered while giving a tour, he said nothing to me but went to tell on me to another person who came and said we cant use the punching bags outside of class because of liability. What was the waiver for that was signed upon me registering for the gym? What liability is there in hitting a punching bag? Big changes needed ASAP. Majority of the staff are phenomenal I will say that is the only reason I won’t one star it.

I was a member of the old LA Fitness before the renovation. The locker rooms were rundown then. Unfortunately Club Studio chose not to renovate the locker rooms at all. The floor is nasty, the showers never have hot water, and the electronics are constantly breaking down. The group classes are fun and the weight room is solid, but the locker rooms are worse than a Planet Fitness and not sure why they were neglected other than to save costs, which is unfortunate for the price tag.

If I could give this gym 4.5 stars I would, but I'll be generous and round up.

Overall I love Club Studio - the classes are great and all of the instructors are amazing. The equipment is all top of the line and they have a good variety of machines with very little missing when compared to Lifetime/Equinox.

A lot of the lower reviews are due to the no show/late cancelation class policy, but I have to side with CS on this one - many of the classes are full, so if you're late it makes sense they would fill your spot with someone from the waiting list.

A few things that I would change:
1. I wish they would have redone the locker rooms. The floors are very obviously still the same from LA.
2. They need to update their weekend hours. 6AM for open would be nice, and they should be open until at least 9:00.
3. I really wish they would have added cold plunges, but that's nitpicky.

I mostly love it here. The classes are great but wish there were more on the weekends. Was definitely told there would be a steam room and there isn’t one. I understand a cancel policy but 12 hours is long. As a morning exerciser, we don’t know we wake up feeling lousy and can’t work out. Some kind of grace period would be nice. Maybe no penalty if there isn’t a waitlist? No real amenities or towels in the locker room is so odd.

I keep being told “it’s being processed,” but nothing has happened. The lack of accountability is unacceptable. Management clearly needs improvement. This situation has been handled terribly.

Please be careful if you’re trying to change your preferred card for autopay. They may accidentally link it to someone else’s account, and you’ll end up paying for multiple memberships on top of your own. Absolutely ridiculous and incredibly frustrating.

Club studio has amazing classes to push yourself along with motivated trainers. The gym floor has great machines and free weights for strength training and the overall atmosphere and staff are great. I would highly recommend this new gym.

You have plenty of cardio equipment and and pretty nice gym floor. Anytime I go there I don't have to wait for any equipment and the weights are very nice. They have plenty of squat racks and places to deadlift if needed.

The bathrooms are great and has Dyson products if you need to get ready for the day. The sauna works excellent. The lockers have a personalized lock which you can create for yourself. If you forget your lock, you can simply ask the employees to unlock it for you. For safety you will be asked what's in there just in case.

The classes are amazing and what makes the gym shine. I have tried CS4(High Intensity), bike riding, Boxing, Pilates, Hot Pilates, and Yoga. I attended majority of the classes and the trainers are motivating, and you get wjat you put in; always give 100% to get the results you want.

I have not tried the swimming pool yet but I'm looking forward to using it and never looks busy.

The staff are always super nice and always nice when I check in. They have a food market opening up and a medspa area soon which is exciting to hear.

Overall, Club studio is an amazing experience ever since it's opening. If you want to get stronger on the gym floor or stay motivated by going to the classes. I highly recommend this gym to anyone who is serious on their fitness goals

This place honestly doesn’t deserve this low rating, but for a gym that’s $150/month I think it’s ridiculous how early they close, especially on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (6PM on weekends, means you literally have to make your weekend schedule around the gym, rather than fit it in at the end of the day). I love this gym, but they really need to expand their hours for Friday to Sunday, because the hours are like a low budget gym when they are supposed to be a premium offering. I hear a lot of other members complaining about this in the locker room and weight room, and would be the one thing that might cause me to cancel my membership.

If planet fitness can afford to pay their staff to keep it open 24 hours a day there’s no way this gym can’t afford to stay open until 10PM daily.

If they changed their hours, I would rate this place 5 stars.

My honest review:
PROS-
• it’s pretty clean for the most part
• ton of equipment including a gym turf
• nice classes
• filtered water fountain
• recovery section
CONS-
• Dyson hair dryers in the locker room don’t work
• Shower towels are on the OUTSIDE of the locker room
• You’re only provided cheap shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for the showers while lifetime provides an expensive good brand along with q-tips, makeup wipes, mouthwash, deodorant, tampons, pads, shower and sweat towels INSIDE the locker rooms, cotton rounds, razors, weight scale, etc.
• When you shower, if someone flushes, the water temperature changes and theirs barely any water coming out of the shower heads.
• IF YOU ARE EVEN JUST 1 MINUTE LATE to your classes, they will not let you enter while charging a fee. And their excuse is, “it’s policy”. Like seriously bfr, life happens, it’s not the end of the world.
• Classes are hard to get into due to people booking so fast.
• Sauna room is incredibly small, and it’s always so packed.
• No steam room, lifetime has one
• You can only use the recovery section if you pay a big fee monthly, whereas lifetime provides it for free including their cold plunge, water massage beds, and cryotherapy beds.
• The staff are nice but most of them tell you misleading information.
• The location is far and in a very busy area.
• The latest class they have is at 7pm only from Monday-Wednesday and from Thursday-Sunday the only have morning classes which sucks bc a gym is suppose to work around your schedule and days, not the other way around. It’s crazyyy to me.
• On days where there’s no classes, and the classes are empty, they don’t let you go in there to workout saying it’s a “safety hazard”, again bfr, we’re all adults.
• In the basketball court, their basketballs lack a lot of air.
• They got all this space in the parking lot but don’t got an outdoor pool, only pickleball outside. Blows my mind.
• For their classes, some of the instructors are super intense and then when you do a modified way, they question why aren’t you doing the workout the correct way. Also they don’t tell you the intensity of each class which sucks.
There’s more cons I would provide but this is already long and I’m pretty sure you get the point. If you’re at lifetime, I would stay there. It’s literally not worth it. I was expecting much more and better but this is nowhere near better and it’s expensive.

Absolutely impressed with the facility. The membership includes unlimited classes to their five boutique styled studios. The equipment on the lifting floor is top tier. It’s hard to find a gym that offers that much equipment, turf, variety of machines, and lifting platforms. I never have to wait for a bench or equipment.

The sauna is beautiful and all the recovery options (compression sleeves, cryotherapy, red light therapy) have changed the game for me.

Absolutely love it!!! The classes are so much fun. The front desk staff was really helpful getting into classes and made it very inviting and comfortable for me.

Club Studio is hands-down the best gym I have been to in Michigan. It absolutely rivals gyms and boutique studios that I have frequented in larger cities - I was so excited to know a place like this was opening near me, and it did not disappoint. There are a wealth of classes to take, and as a lover of group fitness, you will not find a better club in the area that offers the caliber of classes that Club Studio does. I highly recommend checking them out, especially if you like taking classes (cycling, yoga, HIIT, bounce, etc.).

I attended the Pilates class yesterday. I’m hoping that other instructors are better than the one I had. None of the members seemed to follow the very vague instructions of the teacher. Maybe this was just a “one off” incident and this instructor will improve.
Today, I was 2 minutes late for a spin class and was totally locked out of class PLUS was charged $10 for a no-show. REALLY!? Seems like a money grab to me! No 5 minute grace period? BEWARE!

I was late for 2 min due to traffic and wasn’t allowed to attend a class I scheduled before. They could have make exception for the first time. I had to go to the one I didn’t really want to attend and how was my surprise when there was a guy late for 6 min and no one said anything to him. Double standards!

Great equipment. Old bathrooms and showers. Very dirty bathrooms/showers. Never mopped. No soap in the bathroom. Spoke to the front desk multiple times with no change. People use sauna without taking off shoes. The gym is only two weeks old. Management needs to do a better job.

Great equipment, great classes, great value for the monthly fee. Arguably the most well appointed gym in Southeast Michigan. Beats Lifetime by a landslide.

I could not wait for Club Studio to open and it did NOT disappoint! I love the studios that are strictly for Boxing, Yoga, Reform Pilates and more. The best part is the class times are through morning, through evening! A few hiccups since they’ve only been open a few days but I love it!
