I highly suggest going to the restaurant. The pro shop is connected and it’s truly a very cool place to try out. The food was very very filling, rich, and delicious
… I got the Rigatoni à la vodka. I do suggest that because it was very good. Our table also got the chip trio as an appetizer which was good. The chips and the dips were good but the dip came in smaller portions than you’d imagine. The atmosphere was one of my favorite things about the place. The vibe was like a garage homemade bar. And because it’s a month new it still has that fresh atmosphere. Finally, everyone was super polite, the service was super fast everything came out good, and overall everyone cares. Definitely recommend!

We came tonight to try the new Copper Club restaurant and we had a delicious dinner there. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip which was sooo very good, maybe the best spinach and artichoke dip I've ever had and it came with 3 fried shrimp on top that were also fabulous. We also had the pretzel appetizer and the bacon jam was outstanding that came with that. They really need to add another burger to the menu with the bacon jam on it to celebrate how good the bacon jam is. My husband has the salmon which he enjoyed a lot and I had the Southwest salad which was amazing. My mom had the burger, which they didn't cook correctly to her liking but the manager came out and took it off the bill, since it was not done medium rare. The burger was just ok flavor wise, but everything else was fabulous! My kids had the cheese quesadilla which they enjoyed and they loved the coloring pages and that they have crayons coming for next time. We loved that they were family friendly and so accommodating. We will be back again to try more items on the menu. The ambiance inside is also very nice. All the copper touches behind the bar and in the bathroom are beautiful. We had a lovely dinner here and can't wait to try more.

The layout of the course is great, but the condition was pretty bad. Many, many bald spots in the fairways and almost all tees were bare. Hopefully they'll be able to bring the course back. It could be an extremely challenging place to play.

Overall the course needs work, 3 stars seems generous. Played 9 holes twice this season, one on jingle the other on marsh. Hit a few balls on “one of the nicest ranges in all of southeast Michigan”…what are they thinking? It was some mats away from the clubhouse next to an abandoned barn. Marsh was in rough shape, tee boxes were BLOWN out and the signage is atrocious. Multiple times we found ourselves questioning if we were on the correct hole. Ranger told us to start on #2 and end on #1, which was also quite odd. $60 for twilight needs some serious thought. Won’t be back for a couple seasons.

In the middle of hole 4 on marsh, their “ranger” grabbed us and told us to go play on jungle from hole 1 and start over because there was a league behind us. I had a great time at Copper Hills! The staff was amazing. The young girls working were charismatic and extremely helpful! The only reason this place is not getting a five star review is due to one employee. I can’t quite remember his name, but I’m pretty sure it was Kory. He was very scattered while checking me in and he seemed a little off. I brushed it off, thinking everyone has bad days and that’s OK. Then he kept appearing on the course during my round talking to my buddies and I. We could hardly enjoy each other’s company with him, talking in our face reeking of cigarettes. He kept offering unsolicited advice and appearing to do everything but his job. I also witnessed him talking poorly to other staff members and treating them with very little respect. Just wanted to let management know however I had an amazing time at Copper Hills and will be coming back!

Nice track. 3 totally different 9s. Not for the faint of heart. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Some of the tee boxes were very dried out.
Weekday evenings it is very hard to get 9 in with leagues and a lot of beginners.
You must pay attention to cart path signage and be careful when driving, there are some very steep hills and extremely tight corners.

I do love to play this course, however just tried too book a tee time with my wife as a rider (she doesn't play but loves to drive the cart and be on the course with me) and was notified no riders unless you pay full price, now I don't mind paying a rider fee but full price is crazy, especially at the rates they charge. I have never been charged full price for a rider and she goes with me on all the big resorts up north with no problem. The guy I talked to said most courses are doing this but again never even heard of this policy before.

Really like this property but the course has never really been kept in great shape. They will struggle to get play if they are going to charge $60 for 18 during the week. The course does not warrant that type of money.

I have really enjoyed this course for years. Unfortunately, they have created a policy that riders must pay the full player rate, even when the course is wide open. When asked about the policy, they showed a lack of thoughtfulness in creating it. Their reasoning is that a rider totaled a cart in a previous year and instead of creating a better waiver or finding another creative solution, they chose to punish all riders by making them pay the player rate so they’d be considered players under their insurance policy. It’s disappointing to see a blanket penalty like this instead of a more reasonable fix.

Please ignore any of the negative reviews on this course as they MUST be from years past. This course was in wonderful condition. Probably one of the nicest layouts in southeast Michigan, and the maintenance was perfectly fine. Very challenging, but very playable. Clubhouse is nothing special, but the staff was very kind! Can not wait to play here again.
- Edit: I played here again and saw that they are planning to replace and upgrade the clubhouse. It's very cool that they're doing that.

Copper Hills is overpriced $75.00 per golfer. All 3 nines have some very nice and strong holes. It is not a complete golf course it falls short on many levels. Most tee boxes have no grass, just hard dirt and some fairways too. The course layout design and cart paths are terrible. It's more of a struggle to navigate and ride 18 holes than it is to be a memorable day of golfing. Walking to your ball around the greens can be very difficult on several holes. Copper Hils would do better to create an 18-hole golf course that would better serve the players. Jungle #5 thru #9?
Hill # 9 Finishing hole? ...Not ever going back!

I was skeptical to play here because of the reviews, but after playing all 27 holes I can confidently say that this is a pretty great club. ~60$ for 18 holes and I added the remaining 9 for another 20$. Every staff member was super nice. The layout was very cool. Good mix of easy and more challenging holes. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in good shape. The greens play on the slower side. The approach shots near the greens can be tricky, a lot of hazards around most holes, but still gettab”e. There were some extra grass clippings on the fairways but the staff was working hard while we were there to clean everything up. Give Copper hills a try! Bring plenty of balls, there are water hazards and woods.

Some holes are okay I guess, "the marsh" is a nicer way of saying swamp and you will be swarmed by bugs on any twilight. Club house is just a glorified trailer. Price is outrageous for what you get. You're a country golf course, stop trying to be something you're not...

Very poor conditions throughout the course, especially for $75 per player. Several fringes around the green have been aerated. Extensive repair work ongoing which is fine, but charging full price and not disclosing is frustrating. Tee boxes are in poor shape and need attention.

Would not consider playing the course again!
Green fee of $76 and this is what you get.
1) No cart person in 85 degree weather did see any refreshments for the entire round .
2) Extensive ground under repair on almost every hole me with no markings whatsoever.
3) High percentage of tee boxes missing turf an had to tee off dirt.
4) One rest area available not identified
I'm not a very critical person when it comes to reviews but for the price of the green fee I expected a well maintained and organized facility. What I got was a big disappointment
Not coming back sorry

The golf course itself is great. My complaint is about how expensive it was a 6 pack of seltzers and a wrap at the turn. $75 before tip. It was $75 to play 18 holes. The ceasar wrap also sucked and had craft yellow cheese on it. I threw it out after 2 bites. Probably never coming back, which is a shame because their 3 9s are great. Whoever runs this place needs to get it together...

⛳ Copper Hills Golf Club, Oxford, Michigan: 👍👍👍👍👍
Enjoy a Memorable Golfing Experience at Copper Hills Golf Club in Oxford, Michigan. Established by Curtis Wright in 1995, this club spans 367 acres and features a unique 27-hole course that opened between 1997 and 1999. The course’s design incorporates the natural beauty of rolling hills, marshes, and jungle-like conditions, providing a picturesque and challenging golfing experience.
COURSE QUALITY👍: We played a twosome at Copper Hills and found the course beautifully maintained. The fairways are narrow, making it tough unless you hit straight. The greens are in excellent condition, ensuring an enjoyable round of golf.
SERVICE & HOSPITALITY👍: The staff at Copper Hills Golf Club are friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. The presence of a cart girl on the course added to the convenience and enjoyment of our game.
AMENITIES👍: Copper Hills features excellent amenities, including a well-equipped clubhouse and pro shop. These facilities provide everything golfers need for a comfortable and satisfying experience.
COURSE FEATURES👍: The course includes three distinct 9-hole courses—Hills, Marsh, and Jungle. We played the Hills and Jungle courses, enjoying the varied and engaging layouts. The Marsh course is next on our list, known for its beautiful yet challenging design .
VALUE for MONEY👍: Copper Hills Golf Club offers excellent value for money, with reasonable green fees and high-quality facilities. The overall experience makes it a worthwhile investment for golf enthusiasts.
In summary, Copper Hills Golf Club in Oxford, Michigan, provides a top-notch golfing experience with its well-maintained course, friendly staff, and excellent amenities. Its rich history and beautiful setting make it a must-visit destination for golf enthusiasts seeking a memorable round of golf.

Friendly staff, solid food, and an absolute masterpiece of a course. All 3 of their 9's are unique and challenging, yet very fair. First, I would like to say I think this is a great course and have played all 27 holes one time or another. Today I had a very bad experience. I set a tee time on golf now and paid to 9.96 "convenience" fee. Which it is what it is! But when I went to pay for the golf at the course the lady at the front desk said my total would be 389 and some change. Now the rate was 75 a person when I booked so for the four of us is should've only been 300. When I questioned the charge, she immediately became defensive and said that since I was using a credit card there would be other fees. Now I understand 3% charge or whatever, but 89 bucks was outrageous. I tried looking for the email for my confirmation but could not find it to show her. At this point I was a little upset but decided to just pay the charge and move on. She then told me that is didn't have to golf there and was pushing me not to pay. She said she didn't want me to golf mad and that I should just go. Unfortunately, this was 7:15 on Father's Day I had guys showing up to course and had no choice but to golf. Plus, would golf now still charge me since I was passed the cancelation timeline? Finally, she rang me up again. This time the total was 311.97. Turns out she must have added a golfer before and now my total was correct. She didn't apologize she just said she didn't see the total before and acted nothing happened. Thats all I was talking about, and she didn't look at the total! Like I said I really love this course but am a little bummed that I won't be back because of this interaction.
Edit: Heidi immediately called to apologize for the interaction which I greatly appreciated most places don’t care enough to call so I do appreciate it and will return.

Tee boxes are just dirt. Packed tee times so there’s a wait at every hole. Fringe is just dirt. Confusing pathways from hole to hole. Only reason it’s not one star is because the course has a fun layout and some good looking holes but overall bad experience. Would pay 20 bucks for 18 holes but I’ll never play again.

Copper Hills has always been one of my favorite courses to play. It's extremely difficult for anyone who has a hard time with slices(hooks) because the trees will just eat up your ball. You're basically playing a course in the forest but the scenery can be beautiful. Especially during the Fall season when the leaves start to change.
The reason for my low rating is because of the cost. I play many courses that are around $70 during peak season and they're in better condition than Copper Hills. This course is unique compared to most that I've played in Oakland County area given the fact that it makes you feel like you're up north and the middle of nowhere. But all you're looking at is some fairway with trees and hazards. You don't see a lot that went into the landscaping with flowers or other nice arrangements that you would expect at a golf course. Plus the location is inconvenient for those that hate dirt roads and the outdoor venue needs some major updating.

We played the Marsh & Hills. Initially when I booked we were slated to play the Jungle. I had heard this was best of 3 so a tad disappointed.
Nonetheless thoroughly enjoyed this challenging track. Ton if not every hole forced you to think through each shot. Precision is paramount and if you don’t know your carry distance for a variety of clubs, your score will reflect it.
Additionally most greens were in fantastic shape for the beginning of the season and pretty fast.
Anyways I see some negative reviews but seriously have no idea what they’re rating. Hopefully next time the Jungle will be included in our 18 as I’m definitely coming back!

The property and layout of the course is great, but the superintendent is an underachiever. There’s no attention to detail, several greens have necrosis, damage from the mower, fairways not cut tight, tee boxes that are mostly dirt. This place could be a gem. Get a new super. Also who voted it to be top 10 public course in Michigan? The people who own it? Don’t be fooled by the 5 star, it does not deserve that.

Had a voucher for two free rounds of golf after the purchase of a new club. Upon arrival, the gentleman at the desk checking golfers in denied the voucher saying “we stopped accepting those last year due to issues with people bringing them in without receipts.” Understandable reason if people don’t have proof of purchase accompanying the voucher. I told him I had my receipt but he did not care and was not exactly friendly about it. I asked if there was anything that he could do for me under this unfortunate circumstance and he said no once again. Felt like a bait and switch, vouchers for free rounds of golf only to tell you they no longer accept them when you get there. Bad management. Would leave 0 stars if they let me. Only good thing about this course is that it’s usually empty. Cow pasture though, 99% chance your ball is in a fairway rut or that you’re putting over bald patches on the green. Quit after 16 holes. Was going to go in and ask for a refund but was worried the trailer might break down.

Golfed this course for the first time today. I had read the other reviews about tee box, greens, traps, etc. conditions. There is truth in those. There were par four tee boxes that were nearly all dirt. Many of the traps were not maintained. Greens were not all that bad, no serious bald spots or ball mark damage.
All that said, the course is laid out really nice, and the amount of elevation change isn't something I've seen anywhere else in this part of Michigan. I really don't care what the club house is like, I'm not buying a membership to play cards in a club house.
The other common complaint I found was the price. I sort of feel like everything cost more than I think it should these days. So I'm not going to ding them for that. It really isn't that much different than other courses in the area.
They were out cutting grass and performing maintenance, but not to the point where it was in my way. I agree with other comments that it's a bit of TLC away from being a gem. But it's still a course I'll play again.

we have been playing this course regularly for about 20 years, in the last few years, would give the course itself 3.5 stars.
They seem to have lost touch with reality, $55.00 ($57.00 if you pay with CC) for spring rates and was told weekend rates are now $70.00.....Sadly last time we will be playing this course.
Nice layout, decent conditions, but that's it, everything is rundown, clubhouse is an old doublewide trailer with zero amenities

They just want your money. Clubhouse is a double wide mobile home. $5 for a boiled hot dog. $65 for fall golf is ridiculous if you’re not blowing the greens off. The tee boxes were just dirt. Hope this place goes bankrupt and gets new owners

Nice layout, could use tlc, some tee boxes were dirt. People do not like fixing their own ball marks either, pretty annoying but not the courses fault. A 3 1/2 hour round turned into a 4 1/2 hour round. Zero golf etiquette from patrons, again definitely not the courses fault. The staff was really good considering there were only two people working. I would golf it again.

For 65.00 you should provide decent tee boxes. I am not asking for PGA manicured tee boxes but almost every box was dirt with very few patches of grass.

I’ve golfed at this course three times, and every single time the tee times were stacked on top of each other. Each round was 5 1/2 to 6 hours! There was a wait on every single hole, very inconsiderate of the golfers time. Such a shame especially since this course can be a gem if it was managed and maintained right.

Glen the Golf pro is the most unprofessional golf pro or any manager I ever dealt with. They charged $115 for 2 people for 18 holes and the course hadn’t been maintained or cut in a week. I asked for a refund or a free 18 as they never told me about it not being cut. The bunkers are the worst I’ve seen in Michigan. Glen cursed at me on the phone and told me he didn’t care how my experience was and said to leave a review. Worst customer experience I’ve ever had and worst golf course in Michigan. Tee boxes and fairways and greens all super long and awful to play on. Don’t waste your money and time at this garbage facility

I've never experienced worse course management, especially for $67. We tee’d off 25 minutes after our scheduled tee time. There was no ranger or starter to maintain any sort of pace of play. On the third hole 3rd there were 8 carts waiting to tee off. Ended up leaving after playing 9 because it took 3 hours. Would never go back or recommend.

Usually after golf I like to get a beer, what kind of golf course bar closes at 5:00 everyday. It was a little after 5:00 and I asked why they close so early and the blonde girl in the clubhouse started yelling at me to get out of the clubhouse. I will never go back to that dump!

Not very accommodating to a single golfer who doesn’t care to be paired up with 3 people he’s never met during a pandemic. It’s why I made a very early tee time. They have 27 holes and there were 20 cars in the parking lot. Had to get a refund. It’s a shame because that course is gorgeous.
*Edited my rating. Went back in and played with a group about three weeks ago. Did not bring up my last experience to anyone in the club house. There was an issue with our tee time getting booked into their system from where we booked our tee times from. They were extremely busy, but they went above and beyond for our foursome and made it work. Maybe the day that I went there was something going on that I wasn’t privy to. If it’s their policy, I have to respect that.

Seemed like management w-/ just focused on cramming in late season revenue because they booked a 12-some group we unfortunately teed off behind. No ranger on the course to at least keep play moving at very normal speeds. 18 holes took 6 legitimate hours to complete. Tee boxes were dirt and sand. Parking lot was a dirt lot. If you’re going to spend $60 for 18 holes, go to the Orchards instead.

Played here for the first time on Saturday, 3/27/2021. Marsh and Jungle combo. 9:20 Tee Time and we were able to tee off a few minutes early. After the 2nd hole, we didn't see anyone in front of us or behind us for the rest of the round. It was a very nice, relaxing, low pressure round of golf...very enjoyable. Being very early in the season, the course hasn't greened up yet and the greens had been recently aerated, but I could tell it's very well maintained. The rangers and pro shop attendant were very friendly. The starter informed us that the carts recently had USB charging ports installed, which is convenient. The jungle plays pretty short but has plenty of other challenges and many holes with "character." Yes, the pro shop is a "trailer" but nice enough inside, they put their money into the course. I look forward to coming back again later this season, great value.

Fall golf didn’t disappoint with gorgeous views of woods. However our cart barely made it around with no windshield and there were no toilets available on The Hills course. Lucky for us there was lots of woods... even for the ladies. Tough course but too bad it came off shoddy. $72 for 2 seniors for 9 holes seemed high for the lack of amenities.

Course is well laid out but the maintenance is terrible. There was a dead animal close to one of the greens that was rotting. I won’t be going back.

I golfed at Copper Hills for the first time yesterday, 8/9/2020. Hugely disappointed. Played 9 holes of the Marsh course. The greens were very unmanicured but the worst was the sides of the greens, it was like playing in thick rough and uncut. Example: I hit a ball a bit right of the fairway only about 60 yards and couldn't find a bright pink golf ball, this was not the only instance of this, it was truly unnerving. I called and spoke with the manager on duty to tell of my experience and really seemed unphased and used the excuse that they were having trouble with getting employees and good help. Not really a customer's problem and this manager really just didn't care. I will not be returning.

One weird thing though. We had one of our groups with only 3 people and I believe They were going to charge an extra $10 for the cart to go out with a single player on it. I am not 100% sure it actually got charged. But I thought it was weird that it was said that way.

Love the golf course, very challenging, in fact difficult...and do not mind that one bit, love a challenge! The conditions from tee boxes were horrendous, none were mowed...and green complexes were outrageously inconsistent! Some of the greens were mowed, some were not. Three times I came to this golf course to teach my grandchildren the game of golf. All three times the ball machine wasn’t working. When I call the clubhouse a worker there named Matt was behind the desk. Told him about the situation and he sent the starter out to look at machine. He pick about a half of a bucket out and told me I would be refunded the money I paid $10 dollars. When I went to club house Matt said he would only refund me half of what I paid and was very rude and acted like he didn’t like elderly people myself a USMC disabled veteran. I’ll never go back to this golf course because of this clerks rudeness towards paying customers. I will call Glenn to talk to him about this disrespectful encounter. Not at all beginner friendly. Many tee shots are blind and elevated over marshes so any mishit is s lost ball. Would probably be fun if i was way better, But as it is my idea of fun does not include losing a dozen balls during an overpriced round on a course with inconsistant greens and virtually no signage to guide you around the course. Score card drawings of holes are innacurate as well with bunkers missing etc.

No offense to any of the other great courses in northern Oakland County, but this is the best of the bunch. If you care about what the clubhouse looks like, go elsewhere. Copper Hills is a beautiful golf course with lots of wonderful scenery. It is like playing an "Up North" golf course.
The course is in very good condition. Sand traps which were not great have all been filled with good sand and are now fine.
Love this course. We play Copper at least twice a week all golf season. The course is not easy. There are many shots which require carry over swamp. It is wise to bring a few extra golf balls.
We believe many seniors stay away from Copper Hills due to the difficulty. Those players are missing out on a great golf opportunity.
Everyone in our group is over 70 so we play a blended course to make holes reachable. We play holes using anywhere from the middle white tees, the "senior" green tees, and several from the forward yellow tees. Play for fun.
