It's a private athletic club with very reasonable prices and excellent facilities. The indoor tennis and pickle ball courts are maintained in excellent condition and the workout gyms have everything you need. The staff are always friendly and helpful!!

East location is constantly filthy! Just seems like a lot of grime for such a pricy gym fee.. the locker rooms are even worse but didn’t take pics of that- That’s creep behavior.

My son found a mouse on the basketball court while he was playing basketball. We are paying 45 dollars a month for a premium club just to find mice on the court. The ceo always responds to people saying the courts are always dusty and denies the claim. How is he going to deny that there are rodents running around the facility? I have pictures as well. We canceled the membership after this event, this was the last straw.

Been a member for 2 years now, and I can’t say enough positive things about my experience. The facilities are fantastic and offer something for everyone! Everything from the pool, down to the workout equipment and locker rooms is very well maintained. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and management has always gone above and beyond to solve anything that’s arisen. There genuinely isn’t a better health club in the area!

It is the best gym in Okemos. It is centrally located and it is 5 minutes from anyplace in Okemos. It has all facilities and group classes for children, adults & seniors. I particularly like Bollywood Dance Fitness BWORKZ, Zumba, Hot yoga vinyasa, swimming and tennis facilities. It is very rare to get all these in one location. It is one of kind in entire Michigan.

Great local gym with a great family price! Several levels of equipment to accommodate every need including basketball, tennis, and swimming. My children especially enjoyed the ability to go and put in a work out whereas no other gym allowed access due to age. Would highly recommend for families!

Convenient local gym, has a nice variety of equipment and classes.
I would give it 5 stars but they are not the cleanest facility. The equipment needs a deep clean, especially in the cardio room. The high touch areas appear clean but there are obvious signs of rust and debris that are visible on most of the machines, they do not look like they are cleaned from top to bottom. (At the okemos location)

Staff are really helpful and friendly.

Front desk workers are very nice and ready to help. Man sitting in office was very rude and did not even bother to come out of his office to talk to me. On the membership pamphlet it says 6-18 pay 35 dollars a month and I am 18. When I went inside to enroll for a membership, the "manager" told me that you had to be a high school student who is 18 when it neither says that in the membership pamphlet in the club or on the website. The "manager" lied to me and told me that is what it says on the website, and when I called him out on his lie after going through the website, he told me that Court 1 is a private club and does not need my membership, and I was free to leave. SO, I am an 18 year old paying a 45 dollar membership when I should be paying 35. My friend is also an 18 year old, but he is paying 35 dollars a month membership, so I do not understand why they lied to me today when I went to make a membership. Also, when I asked to speak with the "manager" in his office because he would not get off his chair to speak with me face to face, I was told I could not go in there. Right after that, another person just walked in and sat in his office. I think there was a double standard because of my age. To reiterate, the front desk workers were very nice and cooperative, but the "manger" in the office was very rude and lied to me. Overall, I was not satisfied with the customer service that was provided to me today, and I would want some kind of explanation.

I have no issues with the facilities or the staff. My issue is that the gym used to open at 5:00AM and I have been unable work out on a regular basis because they haven’t opened before 6:00AM since COVID. The gym is very close to home but as a full time working Mom, 5:00 AM to 6:00 AM is the only time I can get to the gym before I have to get my kid up and ready for school. Kinda of a waste of $100+ a month right now.

I advise everyone to make sure to know about hidden fees like “annual operation assessment”. When I enrolled nobody bothered to inform about it (no doubt it’s in the long agreement doc) I pay enrollment/monthly fee to use a poorly equipped facility then why in the hell I have to pay additional fee. It’s an open robbery from ill minded administration. It’s totally unfair to pay extra fee. Very disappointing.

As far as I could tell they rarely ever cleaned their facilities. I cancelled my membership because one day the court was practically a slip & slide. It was entirely unsafe to play basketball on and this resulted in me and another of my friends getting hurt.

Some coaches are very irresponsible. I learnt tennis from a coach for two years, two private lessons and two group lessons per week. But I didn’t know how to stroke. The coach said because I am not old enough to have the strength. I couldn’t move fast to receive balls, however the coach said because my eyesight is not good enough. It was a nightmare to learn tennis from some coaches there.

Horrible service. I literally just left there and will never return. They said they have a new manager wich he is obviously not qualified for his position. Me and my 2 kids came in after being told on the phone we could purchase day passes to use the facility in order to see if we want to purchase a membership. When we got there they told me nobody told me that and they don’t do that anymore. He asked the manager if he could let us and he said no way.. Please never go here! Horrible people, horrible place. I left very angry as I drove a half hour with my excited kids in the car only to get turned away.

MANAGEMENT PLEASE READ AND RESPONSE TO THIS. Ight so court one used to be lit. The equipment is sub par, the basketballs or the lack of them are older than me, the courts are so dusty I can’t see the 3 point line. The employees are terribly rude to the point that they don’t even acknowledge the presence of customers. Some employees such as Graham and Mel are quite arrogant and don’t greet customers, I recommend a complete overhaul of the employees(except Rebecca and the dude with glasses). If I had a choice I would choose the Mac which actually makes their members feel welcome. MANAGEMENT PLEASE READ AND RESPONSE TO THIS.

This club is ground zero for tennis in Michigan. The club professionals are all outstanding teachers, not just players. I drive my kids here 3 days a week on a full hour commute to be part of this program. Adult programs seem good but the juniors are among the top players in the nation. Prices are fair and we are always treated with patience and understanding. Well done!

I had been to Court One as a guest early last fall. At the time, the experience left me flat so we joined another local tennis club. That was a mistake. The tennis program at the other facility was a glorified hitting group with little or no instruction for my children. Reports were coming back to me about changes at Court One so I thought I’d give them another look. Having my kids drop in to a class revealed unimaginable differences right away. These people are teachers and developers. My children improved more in one day than in 8 months at their competition. While my children play tennis, my wife and I have gotten into some of the fitness programs. I never thought that organized fitness could be fun but here to I was wrong. Most importantly, we are treated as family. The adage you can’t judge a book by its cover is correct. Court One is not the newest facility but they are clearly the best. It’s their staff’s knowledge and attitude that sets them apart. Our family has a new home and we will never leave.

i live in okemos and i initially had a membership at the MAC after which i cancelled it due to a slack in my fitness routine.when i decided to restart being fit and healthy i decided to try out court one in okemos since its closer to me.i expected it to be something like the MAC but I was surprised to see that the whole place looked very old,in need of repairs(they were renovating it when i got there).the staff in the front 2 women were very rude to me today.they pointed out a guy to me who showed me around.he was polite and kind but i was put off from taking a membership mainly because of the attitudes of the women in front .they pointed out this guy to me and said "this is the membership coordinator"and then added "sorry that s an english term"as though i dont understand english.i felt hurt.maybe its because i am asian that they responded like that.Okemos is a multiracial area and they will have to behave in a better way to asians hispanics everyone if they need business but then its not their business.they r just minimally paid jerks.whoever is involved in this business should take note of this review.when i went for the tour of the club i noted that the equipments are old dirty and ITS NOTHING LIKE THE MAC.MAC is expensive compared to court one but I would any day gladly pay some extra bucks to get polite service and a clean environment.i do not know about the court one over at lansing but this experience gave me a very bad opinion about court one in general.parking is limited too.overall i rate it 0 / 5 on all levels.such a pathetic place should be closed down or at least those inexperienced uneducated women should be removed.okemos is a beautiful tolerant community with highly educated professionals living .we r proud of okemos and we won't tolerate poor clubs and racist thinking here.

Some of the older reviews are quite critical. Many updates have been made in exercise equipment as well as in locker rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. ....The indoor pool has two lap lanes. Yes, the indoor pool is a little warmer than a swimmer may like...but there are many who use the pool that need the temp of the water a little warmer then a swimmer may like. The outdoor pool is great in the summer months....
For the price...you can't beat it! :-)

Court One is expensive for what it offers. The equipment is outdated, to the point that weight machines cannot be adjusted and/or are designed for men or taller women. The pool is kept at a high temperature, which is not suited for lap swimming. The weight area is not climate controlled which can lead to some dangerous conditions during a humid summer. The staff, overall, seems indifferent. On more than one occasion, I have overhead staff members complaining about their jobs, about clients. When I have expressed concerns to them, I get the impression that my comments will never be acted upon or reach a person in authority.
