I’ve been coming to Crossfit Overthrow for just over a month now, and I wasn’t really sure what to expect at first. I was very new to crossfit and the idea of CrossFit was honestly a little intimidating. But the vibe here is completely different from what I imagined.

The coaches actually take the time to help you out — they don’t just bark instructions and move on. They pay attention to your form, check in on how you're feeling, and adjust things if needed. That personal attention makes a huge difference, especially when you're starting out.

The people here are friendly, but not in a fake way. Everyone just kind of does their thing, but they’re supportive and encouraging if you need it. No ego, no judgment. It’s a good mix of pushing yourself without feeling out of place.

One month in, I look forward to these classes. If you’re on the fence like I was a month ago, I’d say give it a try.

I have been going to CF overthrow for over a year now. The gym has a great people culture and everyone is very welcoming . Coaches are always there to recommend changes to improve your form and technique. Every workout is scalable to where you are with your strength, endurance and flexibility .

Highly recommend to come in for an introductory class if you want to learn more !!

I love training with Collan! His programming is well thought out and never boring. He always challenges me to continue improving skill, strength and endurance while making modifications if necessary. He is incredibly patient and knows exactly when to motivate me. I also love the other people I get to workout with and the energy they bring to help me push myself more than I would on my own. They make every workout fun and something I really look forward to! Coach Annette runs the Saturday morning classes and they are never boring! I’m pleasantly surprised at how I am able to push myself while having a great time and always leave feeling high on endorphins! Everyone at CrossFit Overthrow is so encouraging and supportive and there’s so much variety just show up, put in the work, and you won’t be disappointed!

It’s been 20 months since I moved over to this gym. Following Collan’s programming is STILL leading to all-time strength PR’s and the best “cardio conditioning” I’ve ever had. I started at CrossFit Overthrow about a month ago and have done 10 classes. Everyone is so warm and welcoming! The coaching has been great. The workouts are well structured and fit within the hour time frame. It is one of the most beautiful CrossFit gyms I have been to. All the equipment is well maintained. Come check it out!

I love this gym! All of the people are welcoming and friendly from the moment you step in. I was so nervous being new, but it exceeded all of my expectations! I just moved to Canton MI and before I got here I knew I was going come train at CrossFit Overthrow. Collin was super nice when I first contacted him by email and I loved the vibe of the Instagram page!
Now I try to go every day of the week because I don’t wanna miss any of the amazing work outs
prepared for us !
I love the energy of the box everybody has been so nice to me since I joined and Collan and Bethany are amazing coaches!

I have been coming to two classes a week for about a month and a half so far, and I am hoping to eventually get into 3-4 days in the upcoming year. I can truly say I look forward to these workouts! Collan is a great coach with a great attitude. I was a college athlete not too long ago and I missed the team mentality of working out. I was nervous at first because I had heard some crossfit gyms to be clique-y, but this is NOT that kind of place. Everyone is so welcoming and nice and always willing to help and give me tips to improve. Really glad I found this gym!

I'm loving this CrossFit box (gym). Unlike a couple of other CrossFit boxes I've been a member of in the past, Collan and Annette (the husband and wife coaches) focus very much on proper form and technique--and you never feel pressured to go heavier, faster, or otherwise outside of your known limits (granted, it's always good to push yourself beyond your comfort zone, but never to the point of injury).

CrossFit gets a bad rap in general because of injuries resulting from going beyond these known limits. With coaches like Collan and Annette, I can say with confidence this won't happen at CrossFit Overthrow.

Can’t recommend CrossFit Overthrow enough!!

I’ve been a member for 8 months now and I absolutely love it. I switched to CF Overthrow to focus more on strength workouts. I was quite nervous to make the switch, especially because of 0 experience with barbells and had never done CrossFit.

But 1 trial workout with Collan was enough to understand his coaching style. Collan and Annette are amazing coaches. They are hyper focused on form and will point out littlest of the details. This is very important to me and has made me extremely comfortable with all the new workouts and movements that I’ve performed in last 8 months. I’m less worried about injuries as I am in great hands.

Community is friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. Partner workouts are fun too. Workouts are challenging, but in a fun way. We have people all different ages and fitness levels. And workouts have modifications that cater to all. The box is very brightly lit, welcoming and not intimidating like a classic CrossFit box. Class size is pretty good too. It never feels overcrowded.

Believe it or not, my body is forever sore, but I like it. I genuinely look forward to my workout every day.

Anyone out there who’s been on the fence about CrossFit, I highly recommend to come try CrossFit Overthrow. I am quite confident you’ll signup as a member!!

I’ve been going to CrossFit Overthrow for a few weeks now, and I’m already feeling the difference. Previously, I did Orange Theory Fitness, but it wasn’t giving me the muscle tone I was looking for as a 35 year old male. Here the workouts are much more intense and targeted, and I’m noticing real gains in strength already. Coach Collan is very knowledgeable, and the community is very motivating. I highly recommend this gym.

I did private training with Collan for a year before Crossfit Overthrow was opened. At 63, I was hesitant to work out with those “not as senior” as myself. Collan talked me into trying and I have to admit, I absolutely love it. Everyone is very supportive and there is a great feeling of comradery. The workouts are as hard as you want to make them. Collan always gives us options for the moves we don’t feel ready for. Annette has also given me great advice on altering my diet. Between the two, I’ve actually come down from a size 40 waist to a 36. At the same time I am lifting more weight than I did in college. Could not be more pleased!

I have been going for about 3-4 weeks. I have not worked out consistently in my wife since before Feb of this year (previously did Orange Theory). I have been happy with CrossFit Overthrow. Collan is detail oriented on doing the exercises correctly and safety, provides alternatives for people like me that can’t do all the moves and the environment is welcoming. People are at varying levels of fitness/strength so if you’re like me and didn’t come to the gym already is good condition, it won’t be bad and everyone is nice. It is a good workout for sure. You can push as hard as you want to. It is more strength orientated than Orange Theory which is why I made the switch. Pricing is comparable to others.

FYI, I am a mid 30’s male, who did not previously workout but was somewhat active.

Our son has been attending CrossFit Overthrow since April, and we have been incredibly impressed with the positive impact it has had on him. He absolutely loves going to the gym, and his enthusiasm has been contagious.

The trainers are exceptional. They are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about helping their clients achieve their fitness goals. They have taken the time to teach our son proper lifting technique, which has not only improved his strength and performance but has also reduced his risk of injury.

Beyond their technical expertise, the trainers are also incredibly supportive and encouraging. They have helped our son to develop a strong work ethic and a belief in his own abilities. He is always eager to push himself harder, and he knows that the trainers are there to guide and support him every step of the way.

We cannot say enough good things about .The trainers are amazing, the atmosphere is positive and motivating, and the results have been incredible. We highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a topnotch fitness experience.

You get accountability, access to top of the line equipment, a plan in place that is full of variety so it never gets boring and the group atmosphere makes it so much fun!

CrossFit Overthrow is an incredibly amazing gym I’ve been going to personally for over 3.5 years now! It was named something else before and was at a different location but still the best trainer(s) I’ve personally ever had. I’ve been active and working out at least 5 days a week the last 9 years of my life post HS and haven’t made the same leaps and bounds as I have since working out with Collan. Collan/Nettie are very informative and instructive with the movements you perform. They know how to make sure you are doing the movements correctly to prevent injury as well. They are also knowledgeable with nutrition. I’ve been able to have some incredible PRs and hit many milestones at this gym and I plan on many more! If you’re looking for a place to start that will get you on track and help you get healthier look no further. Come on in and put in the work this place is great!

Collan has been in fitness long before he opened this gym and I was fortunate enough to have him train me during that time. I personally started 10 years ago with him after finishing chemotherapy and being barely able to lift a gallon of milk and he was able to train me and help me make serious improvement in stamina and strength where I surpassed my fitness level pre-chemo!

Fast forward to today, due to a number of reasons I fell off the workout regimen and I am currently very out of shape but I know Collan's magic. I came to his new gym and of course the education and workouts continue to be superb but even more so I am so impressed with the results! After only 5 workouts my HR recovery has more than doubled. I am already making strength and cardio gains and it feels good to enter back into an encouraging environment. Everyone here wants you to succeed and truly will spur you on through that last difficult set.

If you come here you won't regret it. It's a clean facility with an amazing coach and wonderful people. You'll see results and get a fitness community in the process!!

Hands down this is my favorite place to be! Coming from someone who struggles to stay consistent with workouts, I leave every CrossFit class excited for tomorrow’s CrossFit class. This makes being consistent in showing up for myself so easy. The coaches here are amazing, very professional and encouraging. My main reason for committing to this gym was bc of their dedication to form correction. Proper form is so important in CrossFit. Even if you’re a beginner Collan and Annette are wonderful when it comes to helping you scale your workouts. Although CrossFit can seem intimidating it’s also known for their community and again hands down the best CrossFit community I’ve ever been apart of. I love working out at Crossfit Overthrow. It's a very welcoming environment, and I say this as someone who had no previous experience with this type of workout. There's a modification to fit every level of fitness. Collan does a great job of explaining how to properly do each movement. I appreciate the individual attention he gives to let me know how to improve something so that I'm getting the most out of my workout. The group atmosphere makes the experience fun and encouraging. It feels like we are all working as a team, even if we aren't all at the same fitness level.
