I love Crunch! I love the group fitness classes. The instructors have all been really great. However, this location really needs to hire a cleaning company. The showers have a mold/mildew smell. There’s always hair everywhere. The shower curtains are gross. It’s weird to me that there’s hand soap dispensers in the showers rather than body wash. The toilets are always dirty. The toilet seat cover dispensers have also never had any toilet seat covers in them.

I've been a member of Crunch for 5 year, and 3 out of the 5 years were at this location, Warren. This is definitely a gym that I've recommended for folks to try out. Great gym vibe and atmosphere. Equipment is good, some of the equipment needs maintenance. However, that's not to say all of equipment is bad. Most of the equipment is in great shape and clean. There's some equipment that you won't find at any other gyms.

I joined Crunch Fitness over an year ago expecting a clean, professional environment, but was quickly disappointed. The gym is dusty and clearly not maintained the way it should be. The staff often behave like unsupervised teenagers—more focused on chatting with each other than creating a welcoming, professional atmosphere.

What really frustrated me was being reminded several times about wearing gym shoes, even after I acknowledged it and said “OK.” It felt less like friendly guidance and more like being nagged.

Between the lack of cleanliness, unprofessional staff behavior, and poor customer service, I will be canceling my membership ASAP. I would honestly rather go back to Planet Fitness, where at least the staff and environment were more respectful and consistent.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my recent visit to Fitness Crunch here in Warren was bad enough that I feel people should know. The place is run-down and not taken care of — a bunch of machines were broken or barely working for weeks, and no one seemed in a rush to fix them. On top of that, the place wasn’t clean. Dusty equipment, unsanitized surfaces… just not what you’d expect from a gym you’re paying for.

What really pushed me over the edge was the customer service. Joseph, who I think is staff or maybe management, was dismissive and
downright unhelpful when I brought up my concerns. Instead of trying to fix anything, he made me feel like I was the problem for even asking. I walked out feeling completely disrespected as a paying member.

For what they charge, I expected way better — in both the facility and how they treat people. I won’t be going back.

I would discuss their personal training program.

I am happy and satisfied with the program I am on. I can tailor it to my needs and reach my goals knowing that the methods I employ will prevent injury.

I have known people that think they can learn it all by using YouTube or using their intuition, and despite this confidence find themselves running into bad gym injuries that lead to costly surgeries. It makes no sense to me to risk bodily integrity due to minor ignorance.

I have been training with Joe Damico for the past two months, and I would recommend him to anyone.

Crunch trainers are certified trainers and they have studied professionally to ensure what they teach are in line with best practices to prevent injury, tone the body evenly, and reach fitness goals efficiently and safely.

I come to Crunch Fitness about three times a week and I’ve had a great experience. The programs are solid, the gym’s clean, and the staff is friendly. Personally, I’ve been training with Emily and she’s been amazing she really knows her stuff. She pushes you just the right amount, corrects your form, and even breaks down what to eat before and after workouts. I’ve seen real results since working with her. She’s definitely a big part of why I keep coming back!

I have been going to this gym since they opened, and have never had a complaint until this past month. The sauna used to actually be hot- now it’s barely warm. I go in the morning and the sauna is barely at 100 degrees. Is this something that’s going to be fixed? The gym has also gotten significantly more dirty also. They have all the machines / equipment you need for a good workout. There is always broken machines, NBD, they stay broken for a while. I’ve been a member for two years and the place is poorly managed. Employees aren’t showing up to open the building. The worst part, the place is incredibly dirty, everywhere. I've been going to Crunch since 2021. The location is fairly busy, which not only shows sometimes by the number of people there but the equipment consistently breaking/not working. Unfortunately, within the past year, the gym has noticeably been getting dirtier. The women's locker room is dirty and and the sauna temperature adjustment is broken. The tanning rooms aren't outinely cleaned and often have dust and disgusting floors. Half the time, the wipes aren't even stocked, so equipment isn't getting cleaned up."ve brought up this concern to the friendly workers at the front desk, but nothing has changed. I will give this review one star only because I like the facility and what they have to offer. Aside from the fact that probably a quarter of the equipment is always not working. But my biggest complaint, that I have complained to the people at the desk numerous times, Is how absolutely disgustingly dirty this place is. Gyms getting worn out. It’s a very busy location and the equipment shows it. Half the treadmills feel like they’re going to break down, the stair climbers feel like they have sand in them making them run rough, the workout equipment is wearing down missing knobs. Planet Fitness honestly does a much better job with up keep. The lighting outside the facility doesn’t work at night and there are giant potholes in the parking lot. Gym opened in 2020 and it’s time for some updates to the equipment.

I recommend not signing up they don’t tell you that the monthly charge for the gym is every 30th of the month or that the annual fee is charged 45 days after you sign up. I signed up online so and am charged every 30th but if you sign up in the gym you’re charged the day u signed up. And if u sign up online u still have to go in to cancel and if its after the payment day, they talkin bout you have to pay it before u can cancel your membership. Im not paying 53 dollars to cancel if im not bout to use your gym unless im still able to come in during that month. They should just be open about their prices and if u gon charge me for an annual fee at least let me be there for that 1 year. You trying to force people to stay with your gym by billing them a annul fee only 45 days after becoming a member. 1 year in- so far so good. The staff is always friendly no matter what time of day I have been there. It could use a little help in the cleanliness department. The women’s sauna is always extremely hot. Knob is broken so you can’t adjust it properly. However over all the gym is decently clean. There is plenty of room even on a crowded day. The cleaning stations are always full with sanitizing wipes, I appreciate in a time when viruses are everywhere. Just the floors and machines could use a better wipe down. Experiencing a double charge for the annual fee at Crunch Fitness has been immensely frustrating. Upon contacting the gym, the manager, Alex, demonstrated a concerning lack of professionalism. Despite providing my bank transactions as evidence, his assurance of a refund was followed by a discourteous hang-up during a subsequent call. Subsequent attempts to resolve the matter were met with unhelpful responses from other employees. When I sought the manager, I was promised a call that never materialized. The lack of follow-through, transparency, and empathy in addressing my concerns highlights a clear deficiency in professionalism, compassion, and patience within this gym's management and staff. It has now been 18 days without resolution or the promised I was out of state when my membership was coming to an end.my membership ending jaunary 5 and that same day that I came to cancel the worker said that the computer was down and that he will take my name down so the managers can get to.But that was clearly a lie because he didn’t end my membership he was just lying to me so he can do other stuff.The next day I came to make sure it was cancelled and I’m checking my bank statement and they charged me 2x the annual fee.I was charged the annual fee on February 19 and again January 5 which makes no sense because my membership ended.It is stated in your contract that you charge the annual fee every THREE MONTHS!!! this gym just likes to scam people out of their own money

I feel like I’m very reasonable.. I only write reviews when I’m unhappy but in this case- I would give 5 stars accept for the fact about twice a month the morning person doesn’t show up and they have to call the manager to come open up. At that point 40 minutes is gone and with needing to work- that messes up the day. The staff that shows is great. The equiptment has great range of motion, selection, and most of all the crowd is great. Not too young, not too old. Everyone’s respectful.. all around best mid level gym. Edge is like a club with their clientele, and I don’t want to wait 20 minutes while 4 18 year old kids horse around. Lifetime/LA is for people that “get ready” to goto the gym. Planets dumbbells go up to what? 60?.. crunch is the best of all worlds.

I only joined because the 1st personal trainer I worked with was polite and understood my fitness goals. Midway throughout our sessions (They make you sign at least a 3 month contract) he was terminated. No one contacted me of this change. I drove all the way to the gym for my scheduled session and still was not informed until I called him myself. They offered me another trainer, and I agreed because of his professionalism. He left Crunch. This time he informed me, no one from the gym reached out. I had to call myself to discuss this with the manager. Who was rude and condescending. They clearly don't know how personal training works and it was stated i can just train with whoever they have available. Regardless of my goals and progress. Save yourself time and money. She said possibly November but nothing past that. December 31st they not only charged the wrong account causing it to overdraft but they also added on a late fee. I called in the morning and was told a manager would call me back in 20 minutes. At 130pm no one still had called. I called asked to speak with a manager the girl who answered asked if she could help I said no I needed a manager she said hold and then it sounded like she got back on the phone and said she's a manager. I explained the issue and she put me on hold and a guy named Eddie said he was the manager. He them proceeded to blame me for the document that I signed to cancel was not saved. And asked me multiple times did I get the girls name who canceled the membership. I didn't realize I have to pay them and do their jobs also. This place is ridiculous. DO NOT JOIN

TVs in main free weight area are never on and/or working. When they are on and working they never have major sporting events on. Always showing movies with no sub titles. What’s the point? Get to know your customers. Very different customer base in the free weights compared to the cardio equipment.

Wipes are constantly not being filled up especially in the free weight section.

I spent over $300 for 4 personal training sessions. The personal trainer would constantly reschedule or show up late. I also never got my meal plan or workout plan written out for me. Crunch charged a credit card I told them not to use (was only for the personal training) for my monthly payment. The gym billed the card anyway so I ended up with a $40 late fee since I didn’t know. The next month they tried to bill the same card and it didn’t go through. Crunch tried to say I was late even though they clearly were pulling the money out the wrong account. I discussed this with the assistant manager Stacy and she stated she would wave the late fee since it was not my fault. She waved the fee but the next month charged me with the late fee and stated “I didn’t say it would be waved I said I would try” I cancelled my membership after being unable to enjoy my workouts and had to wait 2 weeks for the late fee to be refunded. She kept saying it’s only $15. The next month magically Crunch knew what account to take the money out even though I cancelled my membership. I never requested that money back. The gym itself was pretty clean. It is smaller so it gets very crowded during busy hours. Often times the cleaning wipe dispensers would be broken. Occasionally machines were broken. There was also a random 2.99 processing fee I was told nothing about that came out monthly. The gym staff were pretty friendly for the most part. My experience the last few months I was there was a complete headache. Would not recommend.

Been going to this gym for a while now, normally it’s okay but yesterday it was a mess, wipes and weights left out everywhere & the employees were working out & not a single person at the desk, stood there for a good 10min waiting to get a tanning bed & drink before someone showed up & he was clearly new & wasn’t sure about what he was doing. The spray tan booth was an absolute mess dripping in old tanning solution and the tanning room floor was DISGUSTING, clearly not being swept or mopped in a very long time. I walked in this morning and the girl at the front desk was sitting on the desk, eating a bag of chips. I said good morning and she just stared at me as I checked in. The staff who work the late night shift can never be found if/when you want to tan, want to buy water, etc. Sometimes, I even see them working out instead of helping out gym-goers.

This is a great gym, especially if you are just starting out. They have a friendly staff, great equipment, and it’s a pretty large gym. The front desk is super nice and welcoming too; when you come in, you’ll always see a familiar face. They are super helpful and informative. They are super straightforward when you sign up and won’t hesitate to answer any questions you have. I’ve been going to this gym for awhile now, and I have to say I’ve made good relationships with most of the staff. I personally was looking for a gym that had personal trainers when I started, and they have so many great people who can help with literally anyone’s goal. I recently joined this gym and hired a coach. It was over 1200 dollars and I came down with covid and pneumonia. I was told my time of coaching was going to run out and I was not cleared by the doctor to return. I went in to the gym and cancelled my membership. I then called the manager to discuss my 1200 plan and did not get a call a back. Not happy with the level of service. I had a membership here for three years and their membership prices are very confusing as you'll have random "fees" come out your account along with price changes with no notifications. Good luck if you ever have an injury there as well as staff couldn't care less and have next to nothing to help out. Cleaning fees are ridiculous considering they expect you to clean the equipment and gym is often still dirty or has broken machines, out of soap, and lacking toilet seat covers. Also wouldn't credit me my last month that I canceled on the first day and was charged an increase at 78$. I was unable to cancel before then as they made me come in to cancel and I had to wait since I was very sick the previous week. Okay gym but incredibly scammy prices make sure you're checking your account monthly.

I really like this gym, it's always neat and clean. I use to attend the dearborn location which is very crowded evening time. Showers are usually dirty or not working. People don't greet you once you check in! Just very unprofessional. MAKE SURE YOU VISIT THE WARREN LOCATION ITS THE BESTEST👌🏾💯💯💯

Absolute garbage, 3 dudes tried to start a fight cuz they think I was trying to steal their phone, coming at me like he was gonna attack me, it was a misunderstanding I apologized then they started making fun of me I cussed them out n they kept tryna push the limits. 3 dudes all white, one with a long face short hair n beard wears glasses tall and skinny, another tattoo on one side of his chest looking like a dollar tree Tommy fury, and some fat dude. I reported them to the reception, the receptionist stopped everyone before a fight broke out. Happened Monday January 15th, around 11pm in the sauna. Hopefully they get kicked out and banned from the place.

It was a simple misunderstanding, there was a phone right at the corner of the sauna door on the floor, no one was next to it, so I thought one of my friends left it, I picked it up and saw it wasn’t mine or my friends, then the dude charged at me. After me my ppl n the receptionist left the room, we can hear them making fun of us.

If you want to deal with these kinds of ppl then come to this gym, where a fight will break out over a simple misunderstanding, you don’t want anybody to touch ur phone, don’t leave it on the floor right next to the door and ur a couple of feet away from it, anybody can make a mistake and think they dropped their phone on the ground.

This business are thieves and steal extra money from your account other than what is agreed on for membership cost. They force you to use credit card and then charge you for that and claim that they can because it's a fee not an increase membership even though it's an increase membership cost when trying to talk with these managers, their response is "oh well" and that we should ask about extra fees every time we come into the gym. They claim that they sent out an email saying that they're going to charge extra even though I never received it and when I asked for them to provide proof the admit that they cannot provide proof, and that they've had the same problem with other members. As a military vet, this was my Veterans Day gift from them of having them attack my account over 10 times in three days because I only had the amount to cover my membership fee in my account and not the extra hidden fees that they are attaching on without notice. I suggest you save your bank account and save your money and just go to #PlanetFitness. Same cost better management, and better customer services.

I joined Crunch Warren in December 2022 and I have already made a ton of new gym friends. It’s a great community and I love the positive energy and support! Even though the music that the exercise group on Wednesday nights is very loud, the music that Crunch typically plays on the overhead speakers is upbeat, which really fuels a good workout.

The gym is alright. I’ve been a member since 2021. I’ve tried PT twice with them. The first time(2022) I finished my 3month commitment and decided to not continue after as I didn’t really care for the trainers methods. I let the trainer know and it took about 3 more charges to my card before that took effect even though I was clear in wanting to stop training right after the 3 month commitment. That was fine, no big deal (even though I was never even sure we even used all of our sessions from that personal trainer because I’m certain we had a few leftover) I just decided maybe I needed a different trainer.

This second time in 2023, I had been struggling financially and had been late on a few payments for both my membership and PT a few times. I always paid it though and if it wasn’t paid, I’d typically just not go and wait till I could pay it up in full. Recently my personal training account was overdue though my monthly membership was paid up, and one would think I’d be able to use my membership to use the equipment and classes as it’s separate from my personal training charge—no they turned me away. Apparently, even though the charges are different—even if your membership is paid in full you cannot workout regularly if your PT balance is overdue. That’s fine if it’s their policy. A little insane they charged me my 30 a month membership for me to not be able to use it due to a different charge and aspect. The extra crazy part is, I STILL have personal trainer sessions to use that are already paid for…but apparently can’t because my future ones aren’t paid.

So basically from both personal training experiences I’ve got paid sessions that I never used…though they are eager to charge me for ones in the future!

I’ll say, my trainer Vic was great. She’s the only reason I didn’t switch to Edge Fitness earlier. This, though, was my final straw.
I don’t mind not being able to use the facilities if I haven’t paid (duh) but I JUST paid my membership ($30 a month) and can’t even use the treadmill because my future PT sessions aren’t paid? I can’t go to my Pt sessions that ARE paid because next weeks aren’t paid yet? BFFR.

The Crunch in Warren was always so clean and nice when I went in there. All the employees are super friendly and loved the classes. I was set up with a PT, Jeff S. and he is amazing!! When it comes to the payment notification, I was basically lied to. I asked multiple times how many personal sessions I had left. I was told 4, not knowing it was my last. So if you don't say anything after your 3 month agreement, it will automatically charge you if you don't say anything within 10 days of your next payment.

So, after I went back and looked at my dates, I saw I was at my last 1 and was already charged for 2 more sessions that I did not want.

I told the personal training manager that I was told I had more sessions to our initial agreement, but I was literally at the end. He just said he would talk to the trainer I was with, and that's it. I'm basically stuck with the charges. So, to be honest, avoid getting a personal trainer here and go elsewhere or sign the cancelation when you start but date it for your last session. I'm looking to fight those charges.

Gym is awful. I had hip surgery continued to make me pay per month for my gym membership that I can’t use. The managers did not want to speak with me and I was required by my doctor to refrain from physical activity for 2 months. I tried to see if I could get back into the gym on the 1st of the month to see if I could do the bikes. All of them were too high and had too much range of motion. They will not give me my money back and had terrible customer service. The manager Aaron was especially rude and claimed he talked to me when he did not. I wasn’t even allowed to explain my side of the story. Beyond the worst experience I’ve ever had at a gym. Do not sign up for a crunch membership, they’re terrible.

I could never stick to working out !! I was always uncomfortable working out in front of people ! This is the best gym ever ! The equipment is easy to use ! I had left the country November 2021 I was told my account will be frozen until I get back in March 2022. I was still being charged, so I got upset and told them to cancel my membership instead via email. I was told it had to be in person. I went to their office in April to cancel and all they did was take my card info off the system. I received a text in June or July of late payments, went back to the office to cancel again they made me pay what I owed in order to cancel. It is now October 2022 and I found out I'm still being charged.

THE STAFF
Laney the General Manager help provide the best gym experience. First time entering, Laney and her staff, Aaron, and Alex all greeted me politely and was just overall welcoming. Laney ensures that the staff is always around ready in case everyone needs anything and that everyone is cool and being respectful. Such has making sure all the weights are in order and the place is clean, unlike many gyms in the area.

CLEANLINESS
By far the cleanness gym I’ve ever been to in the area. Compared to LA Fitness’ Locker room which looks more like a sweat box, everything is sticky and there is always something wet on the floor. Crunch fitness is superbly clean. The locker rooms always being maintained clean. The gym floors are always vacuum. They ensure that everyone is being respectful and don’t bring their gym bags lying on the gym floor.

THE EQUIPMENTS
They literally have top of the line equipment. I prefer hammer strength, but Their equipment feel extremely high quality. Especially their free weights. They have like 3 -4 pairs of each weight so you’re never ever waiting around. LA Fitness and a lot the gyms in the area have like 4-5 Benches. I think they have like 10 or more. So you’re never waiting around.

THE ATMOSPHERE
Selection of music is not the type I listen to but that’s why you have head phones. However, their music in general keeps you pumped and motivated. I catch myself shazamming some of their tracks. People are super cool, Not many “pretentious trying to act hard gym bros here”. Overall great because the staff does help give a great culture. Great Job Laney!
