After a whole season of Dance I can say this place does it right. Was at the recital and it was amazing. The older kids were exceptional good. Wow. Great teachers. Hands down exceptional. They have all levels and even have a travel team if your child is good enough and $$. I did not see any college dance offering or scholarships.
So I don’t know how good the kids were but the older kids danced at a high level.

Interesting place. Very strict rules. I guess they can be if they are really good. Place gets packed.

Recommend if you are a serious dancer.
Decent prices.

I do see a lot of good reviews but I cannot give high marks based on other peoples reviews. Sorry. I do see a lot of trophies in the front window, so this places does WELL in dance competitions.

Suggest: Just keep providing good service and training dancers. Dance is a tough world but if you keep your staff well trained and only subject yourself to the highest quality of instructors you can only go up in achievements. Good luck.

We booked 5 wedding dance classes in preparation for our first dance at our wedding, and we are SO glad that we did! Wow, such a fun experience and our first dance ended up being one of our favorite moments from the wedding! Bri was INCREDIBLE to work with, as neither of us had ever formally danced before, but she made us look like we had! She was excellent at modifying her instructions based on our skill level, scaffolding difficulty lesson-to-lesson, providing feedback, and personalizing our sessions to match our goals. We ended up deciding to have full choreography after a couple lessons, and Bri created us a beautiful arrangement of patterns. She is so knowledgeable and so approachable, and we would recommend her services to any couples who are wedding planning!

We really love The Dance Place. The staff is always so friendly and personable, including those working the desk. My oldest is starting her sixth season and loves dancing here. The teachers and students are so talented. They really put on a good show come recital time!

Dear DP Staff,

I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all of you. I have been dancing and continue to dance at the studio for 9 years now and I never regret it. When I come to dance I know I am in safe hands. I know all of you truly care about my and others success. You make everyone feel so welcomed, and you train us to be well behaved, talented, strong, employable dancers. There isn’t a time where I feel that I don’t want to come to dance. Dance is a place where when I walk through those doors I can let everything out and clear my mind. The studio has made me a better and stronger dancer and I can’t thank any of you enough. Whether it’s a wave hello when we walk in, giving us one correction, congratulating us, or teaching us something new, we all appreciate it. Over the past few years my daughter has participated in Mommy & Me, Preschool Ballet, 5-7 year old Ballet and summer offerings of Dance Smorgasbord (ballet, tap & jazz) as well as Princess Fairytale day. I encourage parents to seek out the summer offerings especially for the 5-7 age range. The Princess Fairytale enrichment made a big impact on my daughter, she was so happy and proud to act and dance as a princess would! What I appreciate most about this studio is that the staff and owners really care about each child and family that enters the door. They are so helpful in working with your child where they are at emotionally and physically. You can expect a smile and hello at the front desk and the staff are always approachable for questions and help. I love that The Dance Place has been run by a local family for many years. The Dance Place is a Lakes Area treasure!

The Owners and dancers are absolutely amazing. I work for a senior living community and asked if they would come out to entertain our seniors. BEST DECISION EVER!! The kids were so friendly and talented. The patience and compassion they showed to our residents was absolutely amazing. As a exdance instructor I can say that the training and instruction the kids are receiving is true quality!!! I would recommend this business to anyone. Thanks again for everything.. My family has been part of The Dance Place Ltd. for 29 years! This is my 29th year dancing and performing at recital and I have 4 daughters who started dancing at the age of three 3 of them dance until graduation from high school with one of them returning to join the adult classes. My 4th daughter is in her 14th year. To let you know how much I love The Dance Place........I drive 100 miles round trip 6 days a week passing many dance studio for my daughters to get quality dance instruction. They have an excellent teaching staff who are knowledgeable, professional and love to pass on their love of dance to their students. The recitals each year are top notch! The Dance Place Ltd. provides all levels of dance from beginners to Pre-Pro. I highly recommend them for your family.

The studio offers a variety of dance styles offering something for everyone including fitness classes for adults. The studio has expanded and updated in a modern style. My daughter is on the dance team. My daughter danced at the Dance place Ltd. recreationally since she was 5 and competitively since she was 6/7 and absolutely loved it. Her many years of dancing there has lead her to continue her love for dance at Wayne State University majoring in Dance(she is a junior now) on a dance and academic scholarship. For many years DP was her home away home and they have always made her and our whole family feel like part of their family, from the owners to the teachers to the front desk and all the rest of the other DP families. She stills go back whenever she can to train/ volunteer or help wherever she can and they always welcome her with open arms. The recitals are top notch and so much fun for the dancers and their families and costumes were always age appropriate and reasonably priced especially compared to many other studios. We are very thankful and felt very blessed that our daughter had such a wonderful place to learn and grow and express herself on and off the dance floor. As a parent of two former Dance Place students, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate and respect the Dance Place and their dedication to student learning and willingness to share their time and talent.
