At Earthside Yoga, we believe in celebrating women and mothers in their childbearing years and beyond through yoga and meditation.

We offer restorative yoga for every~body as well and prenatal and postnatal yoga including mom and baby yoga. This is a place for all women to come together to share, learn and grow.

I am so happy that I found Earthside yoga early in my first pregnancy. The prenatal yoga class is absolutely fantastic. I was a bit hesitant to do something like this because this is my first pregnancy but please do! The opening circle is my favorite thing about this class. We all give an update on how our pregnancy is going and I have learned so much. Lori really has done a great job at making all the ladies feel welcomed and safe. Honestly, this class was such a life changing experience as someone who feared being pregnant. I cannot thank everyone enough that is apart of it.

I can't express my gratitude for Lori and the Earthside community she has built enough. I started doing yoga with Lori during my first trimester of pregnancy when I was anxious about being a new mom and not knowing many people locally, especially other expecting moms. I learned so much by listening to other moms during opening circle. Doing yoga during pregnancy not only gave me tools to use during labor, but taught me that I could (and should!) advocate for my own health. This was a safe space to ask questions, share stories and anxieties and celebrate each other. I had an amazing labor and birth and I attribute a lot of that to Lori and the other moms I did yoga with.
Since becoming a mom, I've also gone to monthly moms morning out yoga classes and baby and mom yoga. I've met other moms to confide in and don't feel so alone going through this journey. I am forever grateful for Lori!

I did Lori's Restorative Yoga a few Sundays ago and it was amazing! Her calming presence and thorough instructions make the class very open and welcoming! I have practiced with Lori for two full pregnancies, and am now on my third. There is no other studio I would trust more! Her wealth of knowledge, unlimited support, and the skills taught to both calm and strengthen your pregnant body are unmatched!! If you have the chance to practice with her, do yourself a favor and DO IT!! You will not regret it ❤️
P.S. - my husband and I have also taken her partner yoga course - twice! He loved it both times (and he was very unsure going in) and felt he learned some great information and ways to support me going into delivery. I have been taking prenatal yoga classes with Lori now for roughly 14-15 weeks. I look forward to her class each week! I love the sense of community and being able to connect with other expecting moms.

Of course I love the yoga too! I have learned a lot of breathing techniques and mantras that I use on my own when I’m feeling stressed - I can’t wait to use them during my birth experience as well.

Lori is the best! I started taking her prenatal classes when I was about 16 weeks and continued through the birth of my son. They were great for relieving the physical aches and pains as well as for taking the time to relax and connect with my baby. I found Earthside Yoga when I was pregnant with my first baby. I have had ongoing back problems/pain for years and being pregnant definitely made it worse! Practicing yoga made a measurable difference in reducing my pain, increasing my mobility, and allowing me some comfort during a very uncomfortable time. I continued to practice with Lori after my first was born, during my second pregnancy, and after attending the slow flow and aromatherapy classes. Every class I attend brings me strength and peace. But more than all of that, this community has brought me love, hope, joy, support, friendship, and a judgement free space to express the crazy feelings that come with pregnancy and motherhood. I have leaned on these women for the simple things like how did you pottly train your stubborn child, what did you do when your child started biting, as well as the hard things like who did you lean on when the postpartum hormones and depression left you reeling? Now that we are expereincing life events that none of us could have predicted, I lean on my yoga practice and community more than ever. I go through poses to ease the strain in my back daily and every morning I hear Lori's voice in my head guiding me through the poses I love the most and reminding me that I am strong, brave, and most of all I am not alone. I came to this space for the yoga, what I found and fell in love with is the community of loving, supportive, and fiercely protective mamas. The yoga is amazing, Lori is amazing, the community is invaluable!

I first found Lori when I moved across the country to Michigan with my four-month old baby girl. I had found a great pre- and post-natal yoga group in LA that I never thought I could replicate until a simple Google search led me to Lori & Earthside Yoga! 🙏🏼❤️ I immediately reached out and she responded to me right away encouraging me to join the next session. With the difficult life transition of having a baby, going back to work after maternity leave, moving across the country and being a full-time working mom on PT hours, Lori embraced me into the mommy/baby yoga group with open arms. Every Saturday, my little and I enjoyed amazing quality time together, a sense of community in a no-judgement zone type atmosphere and amazing mentorship from Lori that helps calm your mind and feed your soul. At the active crawling stage, the babies become “yoga graduates” but the practice doesn’t stop for moms! Lori is a master at post-natal care and offers a variery of different classes to cater to everyone on all levels. I personally love her candle-lit restorative class, mom’s morning out + post-natal sessions. 100% recommend giving it a try. I extend my deepest gratitude to Lori and the Earthside community.❤️🙏🏼

Lori is nothing short of amazing! Even during the quarantine she has managed to keep her community connected and engaged. She is offering several online classes via zoom and I have participated in three different classes (moms morning out workshop, pajama yoga and Saturday morning slow flow). These were all very different classes that offered their own unique spins that all helped relieve stress and anxiety and refocus you mind and body and calm things down (if even just for the duration of the class). I was able to do one of the classes outside while listening to nature. It felt great and totally helped me to reset. It was just what I needed! I can’t recommend Lori enough!! I have done the prenatal, mom and baby and the restorative yoga with Lori. I keep coming back because her classes are awesome! Each one offers exactly what one needs. The prenatal got me ready for delivering my baby girl. I couldn't have given birth without this class, it is THAT GOOD! Mom and baby allowed me to spend time with my little girl in a safe and judgement free zone, having some quality time doing amazing yoga! The restorative yoga is UNBELIEVABLE! I did a few rounds of prenatal yoga before having my daughter and I also did mommy and baby yoga after she was born. First, Lori is an amazing and supportive human being who happens to teach yoga as well. I felt so supported through my pregnancy and felt like I had a place to normalize what was going on with my body. The yoga really helped me along the way but especially in delivery: “relax, release” was my mantra. My nurses told me I was one of the calmest patients they’d had. (Spoiler alert: people in my life do NOT describe me as calm). I really attribute this to Lori’s classes and support! I attended Lori’s prenatal yoga during my second trimester. I felt so refreshed after each class, I highly recommend! Stretching your body the right way during pregnancy felt great. This class in unlike any other - in the best way possible. Lori is a fantastic yoga instructor and source of information for so many things regarding pregnancy. The class is so peaceful, allows you to bond with other mamas, and also strengthens and prepares your mind and body for labor and postpartum. I cannot say enough positive things. I took this class with my first and my family couldn’t believe how calm I was through hours of labor (thanks to learning how to breathe properly and focus). It felt great to get some exercise, and I learned different techniques to incorporate into my daily life to relieve aches and pains. Many problems pregnant women experience I was able to avoid, and I give the credit to prenatal yoga. A lot of time is spent on spinal balance and hip flexibility, I never once felt off balance during my pregnancy! I left every week feeling refreshed, body and mind. The benefits didn't end physically; there was a great sense of community, and it was great to be surrounded with positive thoughts and feelings regarding pregnancy and childbirth! Lori continued to be a wonderful help to me as a new mother with breastfeeding, introducing solids, and moral support during some sleepless nights.
