My daughter and son have had wonderful experiences with ETS. We were drawn to ETS specifically for my daughter who is a multi sport athlete. We had hoped to find a program that could teach her proper strength training to help with injury prevention. It has very much helped her build strength and learn proper form, and she has seen the benefit of increased speed and strength translate into her various sports. She absolutely loves it. The coaches are fabulous and the kids have a lot of fun with them while they work out!

Daughter is 12 and plays club soccer. We were looking for a way to increase speed, strength and most of all confidence. Gabe was great in our initial meet and we signed up on the spot. In the 4 months since, she has changed a lot - her body structure is way different (more muscular and defined...her legs and arms were skinny and almost the same size before), her stop and go shuttle times have decreased a lot after her recent testing(5.teens to sub 5) and more than anything, she has gone from talking about paper cuts she got on her hand at school or wherever prior to ETS, to being a beast at ETS (in our eyes at least - yes a little biased:) and her confidence has increased a lot a lot. The value is unmatched as are the trainers who are always there, always watching and even not letting them off the hook, when they do not like sled Fridays and keeping them accountable. I feel like when we look back on her playing days, this decision and her wanting it and commitment to it, is going to be a defining moment in her development. This is our experience and not saying it is going to be yours. Try it out for yourselves and see if it is a good fit. Side note: we will keep doing it as long as she wants to, as long as she loves it and loves going. And, she just asked...."so who is taking me to E.T.S. today?!?!" In case you are curious.....my wife is taking her today:)

ETS has been a huge help for me in my game play for soccer. It not only makes kids stronger in their sports, but it provides a positive environment for kids to grow in their confidence. I highly recommend going here as an athlete/student, it will help take your game to the next level.

Training at ETS has been a game changer. The coaches truly care and tailor every workout to your sport and goals. The atmosphere is intense in the best way — you’re surrounded by motivated athletes and pushed to be your best every session.
I’ve gotten stronger, faster, and more confident since starting here. If you’re serious about competing at a high level, ETS is the place to train.
Highly recommend

Gabe runs a top-notch program. He’s knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and fully invested in his athletes’ development. Communication is clear and consistent, which makes it easy to stay informed. Most importantly, Gabe creates an environment that helps young people grow—not just as athletes, but as confident, capable individuals.

The team at ETS Grand Rapids is truly exceptional. They are professional, knowledgeable in strength and conditioning, and have a great rapport with kids. Their programs consistently produce real results in their athletes, and it’s clear they’re dedicated to each individual’s development. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such an amazing staff. I highly recommend ETS Grand Rapids to any parents looking for a place where their child can grow and thrive both athletically and personally.

Edit to original review - (had to delete text because character overage)
Gabe called me on Wednesday to follow up after our missed session on Saturday. He was very apologetic and explained that their automated system had gone down, which caused the flood of reminder texts and why no one had received the reservation I submitted online. He said they rely on that system to manage communications and scheduling. I appreciated the call and told him I understood that things happen.
During that conversation, we also talked through the pricing, scheduling, and what the 12-week summer program would look like. I told Gabe I would be willing to give them another shot and rebook the evaluation—especially if they could offer one free month, considering how expensive the program is and the time that had already been wasted. He said they'd do their best to make it right. I also told him that once I had more information and I saw how the training worked, I would be open to updating my Google review, depending on how things went moving forward.
Unfortunately, the second appointment wasn’t much better. We were told to come for an evaluation, and my son was specifically told to wear workout clothes. But when we arrived, we were taken straight into an office and sat down for 30 minutes while Gabe gave what felt more like a sales pitch than an evaluation. He talked in depth about the philosophy of the gym—why they take warming up seriously, how they focus on movement patterns and athlete health, etc. But we had already discussed pricing, schedule, and logistics by phone, and I had already shared with Gabe that I was a former college athlete and knew the value of good training—I just wanted my son to be able to learn from someone other than me since kids don’t always listen to their parents, and I was looking for professional coaching that would help him grow.
What was most frustrating is that, until I verbally expressed my irritation, they had no plan to let my son actually work out. Gabe then explained that they don’t usually run kids through training unless they’ve committed to signing up, because entering those scores into their system skews the data for the rest of their athletes.
Honestly, I think that’s a poor excuse. An evaluation should be where you get baseline data and show parents what their child needs and how your program supports that. He did say they’re working on fixing that part of their system—but that didn’t change the fact that we had now wasted even more time.
After I clearly expressed how frustrated I was, Gabe offered to take my son through the workout. At that point we stayed another hour while he did a series of exercises—during which no corrections were made on his form and feedback was limited. I asked about it after, and was told they just let kids do it “their way” unless it’s unsafe, and that they review the scores later. Again, that doesn’t meet the standard of coaching I was expecting. If you're advertising individualized athletic training, I would expect coaching and redirection to begin immediately—even if it’s just during an evaluation.
What frustrated me even more is that about an hour after we got home, I received a text from the gym saying how nice it was to see us—and then immediately after, I got this message:
> “After our discussion today and [son]’s first training session, would you be willing to amend your recent Google review like we discussed?”
The truth is—I don’t have all the information yet. You haven’t completed an evaluation (because it takes 2 sessions to complete and it only happened after I pushed for it.)
It felt premature and honestly tone-deaf to ask me to update my review when I haven’t even seen how your program works over time.
That said, we have enrolled in the 12-week summer program. And if things improve—and I see real value in the coaching and my son starts to learn, grow, and enjoy the experience—I will absolutely be open to updating this review again. But as of now, the process has felt disorganized and focused more on the sale than on the athlete.

My daughter has been with ETS Performance for almost a year now. She loves the atmosphere and the coaches. She’s also grown so much stronger over the past year and it’s really showing in her Sport. I also love the injury prevention side of this program as well.

My son Grayson has been attending ETS for a couple of months now. Gabe and all the coaches have created such a positive community of athletes that really support one another. We visited several other gyms before committing to ETS. The coach to athlete ratio at ETS is low and the athletes get a lot of attention and help with form when lifting! Grayson loves going and he has grown a lot physically and mentally! I would highly recommend ETS to anyone who has an athlete looking to gain some strength and agility training!
