Gym is turning into a dump! Bathroom is gross, sinks don't work right, and lockers are falling apart with rusted bottoms. 1/2 of the cardio equipment is out of order and has been for a while now. If anything gets fixed, it takes forever, especially if he is out of duct tape.

I’ve gone to this gym for years but I’m at my breaking point. Good equipment and spacious. Could get over the overall dirt and dust, but the political signs that are full of hate I cannot get over. Will never step foot in this gym again. The owner is rude. The whole place is dirty. Equipment stays broken. Hateful unsafe feeling environment.

I was looking for a new gym and went to this one. They had tons of equipment and lots of ways work different body parts! I really wanted to join this gym, but it has political bullshit everywhere. No one needs to have a person‘s political beliefs shoved down their throat at the gym.

This is a good functional gym for people who want to get in shape. I've been to many other gyms including anytime fitness, planet fitness, lifetime fitness, etc. But this gym has the best culture as far as just working out is concerned.

Yes, the bathrooms are not great. The sinks barely work, there is some grime, some of the rags for cleaning equipment look kind of old, some of the lockers are hanging off the hinges, some people apparently don't like some of the posters or flags that are hanging up. But so what? I feel like this is the best place to go if you want to get into shape. All of the staff are in good shape and seem very knowledgeable. They have a huge variety of equipment for working any muscle group. If you are going to a gym for another reason, then I don't know what to say.

I would recommend this gym to anyone who is looking for an old school gold's gym kind of atmosphere. You'll hear the sound of metal plates clanging around, you'll hear people grunting without a lunk alarm going off, you'll have no trouble getting a spotter if you need it. It's a good community of weightlifters here.

Horrible customer service. I was next door shopping, and their restrooms were out of order. I go next door because my THREE ear old has to go to the restroom. If anyone knows kids, they can’t hold it. The guy had no grace. He said you don’t give us any business, you can go to VGS. Completely rude. Like he’s a child. Be a kind human. A person should see a parent that needs help.

Power house is one of the better gyms in the area that has equipment for heavy lifting and weight training. Once my membership year is up I won't be back unfortunately. Really don't appreciate how much pornographic pictures there are littered all over the facility, especially the men's locker room.

I Had an appt at the business next door. There was a miscommunication and the doors were locked. I stepped inside the gym lobby while I figured out the problem due to the fact it was cold outside and I had my 6 month old in my arms. Whomever was running the front desk came into the lobby, turned the fire place heater off, moved the chairs away and kicked us out even after explaining it would only be a second we were in there. Although I don’t attend this gym the employee we encountered was awful and I wouldn’t attend this gym even if you paid me.

Love this gym. Plenty of cardio machines, free weights, and machines. Also big points for deadlifting platforms (3) and a separate Olympic section with bumper plates. Wish they had a few more squat racks as there are only two but you can solve this by not going during peak hours! Usually go later around 7pm. Overall, love the gym, atmosphere, camaraderie. If you are into bodybuilding, powerlifting, or cross fit you cannot go wrong.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership because I moved. I went in Sunday 7/16 and spoke with an employee that said he couldn’t do it but he would have the owner, Kevin, call me. Do you think he did? Of course not. I no longer live in the area and I’ve been calling to try to get the membership cancelled and nobody will answer the phone. I had to have my credit card company block the charge. I’m leaving this bad review in hopes I can finally get someone’s attention from the business and cancel my membership.

The gym owner gives service members a hard time when trying to end membership due to PCS. It took me 12 phone calls before I was able to get through to someone. Kevin the owner, then tells me “well we don’t like to cancel memberships.” What type of customer service is that? He finally cancels the membership but somehow still charges me for the following month . Out of all the gyms I’ve been to I’ve never seen one with such third-rate management. I see now why many people say they won’t come to this gym.

Fun, exciting facility. Has great energy, absolutely awesome equipment, especially for those who love hammerstrength . Tons of free weights . Outstanding job outstanding people always willing to help been coming here for years took some time off when I came back the gym was twice its size has everything a novelist or Pro would ever need an exercise can ask anybody up there for any information on the machines or exercises especially Big Mike who's been there a while and I've known him a while great guy and a staple to the business ever have a question ask Big Mike he's a personal trainer up there and I don't think there's one person up there that wouldn't vouch for him especially me and the rest of the staff are exactly the same great job guys and gales

I've tried a lot of gyms. ALOT. And PowerHouse Gym in Fenton is the one that checks all the boxes for me. One thing right off the bat is the friendliness of the staff AND fellow members. Everyone is so courteous, helpful, and supportive.
A big thing for me is efficiency. I want to get in and out of the gym and get on with my busy day. There are so many machines for cardio and so many options for strength training that I never have to wait. Also, it was important for me to have a large space to do body weight exercises and stretching without having to be in anyone else's space. Powerhouse in Fenton has that and more.
The owner is extremely attentive both to the staff and members. It's nice to have that kind of accessibility. No matter your goals - getting fit, losing weight, or building muscles, this is the place.

Extremely good equipment and is the best gym in Fenton mi. The gym is grossly overpriced and the new owner of the gym is horribly disrespectful to women and has no qualms bullying whoever he chooses inside his gym and freakuently becomes aggressive or aggravated towards customers. My friends from highschool have all had bad expieriences with him but it became an actual problem when he told me that he was going to “be my new dad” when my mom was leaving the gym one day. He recently kicked me out of the gym recently for not wearing shoes on a deadlift platform. But he goes out of his way to find conflict and establish his “dominance”I recommend this gym to any fellow bodybuilder or powerlifter but the gym desperately needs to get rid of the current owner for his behavior

Thanks to new ownership there's been a massive improvement to the place and there's more to come! I've been going there since 2011 and have watched it grow into a place where there's a wide variety of equipment to work with, there are classes to go to and you'll see trainers there kicking butt! The environment is good and the staff is friendly. People of all ages and levels of fitness (or just getting started) come there so although you see pros, you see us averages in there just trying to get in shape or maintain and it's totally a no-judgement zone, at least from my perspective. I highly recommend this Powerhouse!

Powerhouse Fenton is probably the best gym in the area. They have a huge variety of equipment; free weights, cables, plate loaded machines, exercise equipment and cardio equipment. This is your typical hardcore weight lifting gym and more with upbeat music playing and plenty of weight being lifted by various ametour and professoinal powerlifters and bodybuilders that workout here. The main group of members at the gym are great, friendly and very helpful. There are members of all levels of fitness and everyone in the gym is trying to achieve similar goals and willing to help each other. I am from the area, but currently live out of state for work. Whenever i return to town for holidays or to visit family I workout here, the ownership has been accommodating and provide me 10-visit punch cards at discounted rates since i live out of state.

This Gym is the the real deal! Don't expect someone to hand you a warm towel in the locker room or a slice of pizza after your workout. This is not a Health Club or a Planet Fitness! But if you are interested in transforming your body and living a healthier lifestyle this is the place for you!
