Class quality and instructors were good. The reason I give 2 stars is for improvement recommendations in various areas, given the price of the membership/classes. All of the studio sizes are very small and packed. The entry and hallways are super narrow for the amounts of people it holds. You cannot comfortably get changed here or put on shoes in the cubbies. The sound system is hard to hear clearly in the spin room. They will post additional charges to your account where possible: if you need a water bottle, mat, cancel too late, etc. I was hoping the operation was a bit better for the price for me to stay but will be taking my business elsewhere. Regardless the trial was a good value, so thank you

YF is the best studio I’ve been to in GR. I love that it’s yoga, barre, Pilates, cycling and more. There is freedom to switch up your routine if your in a season of life when all you wanna do is yoga, but then if you’re on a barre kick, you can explore that at the same place. I believe Shannon was put on earth to have this studio and create this community, it’s a very special place.

Fever has the best instructors in town! It’s a small but mighty team that makes an effort to know their members by name, and they’re understanding if you’re running a couple of minutes late (guilty!).

They keep things fun and engaging with pop-ups, challenges, and themed classes.

Most importantly, they offer multiple workout options, which is a big deal for me.

I highly recommend trying out Yoga Fever because there are so many positive aspects of it. I love that there is a variety of classes to take, including barre, yoga, ride, and FIT. Pop-up classes are also common and it’s fun to try something new.
Every instructor is so nice and encouraging. They make the classes enjoyable and welcoming. It is a great community to be a part of and I plan on continuing to be a member for a long time.

Update: I still go to Fever and enjoy it very much. I recommend checking this place out!

Owner came after me demanding I pay $5 for using a studio mat to take a yoga class. Let this be your warning. They’re charging you $5 to use a mat on top of what you’re paying for the class… it’s like charging a fee to use the spin bike after you paid for a spin class.. what?? Thankfully, I was just visiting the area and can run back to my hometown where they’re not desperate enough to harass you and text you demanding $5… there should always be mats available at no cost since YOU NEED A MAT TO DO YOGA AND YOU’RE PAYING FOR THE YOGA CLASS.

I just received notice from Fever (formerly Yoga Fever that I just completed my 250th class! My journey into yoga with Shannon at Fever started 7 years ago. I hoped to ease the effects of advancing arthritis. I am SOOO thankful for Shannon and the excellent instructors she employs. They all are personable, caring, encouraging, and skilled at offering classes for all levels and physical limitations. Their help and instruction has made a huge difference in keeping me healthy and athletically active.

I have been a member at Fever for over a year now. I was NOT a yogi. I started at the studio nervous and uncertain. Fever, the instructors, owner and members all work together to create an inclusive, supportive and fun environment! Thanks to the help from the instructors, I’ve learned so much more about yoga practice and how to build strength and grow confidence. So thankful for the Fever community!

Plus, I love the community and new friends I’ve made! <3

I’ve been part of the Fever YCS studio for coming on 3 years, and I could probably write a never-ending list for all of the ways Fever has positively changed my life. It doesn’t matter how new you are to the class style, your teacher always meets you where you’re at and gives plenty of modifications so that each person can feel challenged. The studio environment itself is fueled by the constant love, creativity, and enthusiasm shared amongst the teachers and Shannon, the owner. I highly, highly recommend fever.

I’ve been a member at Fever Yoga for a while and, while my personal experience has been fine, I’ve observed and heard about some troubling issues that I can’t ignore. It seems that the studio doesn’t treat its instructors or members with the respect and fairness they deserve.

There have been instances where instructors, who are the heart of the studio, have been treated poorly, and it’s disheartening to see. Their passion and energy are what make the classes enjoyable, but it feels like they aren’t valued here. Additionally, some members have shared experiences of being dismissed or ignored when raising concerns.

It’s disappointing because the potential for a truly inclusive and supportive community is there, but it feels undermined by the way people are treated behind the scenes. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes changes to improve how they treat their instructors and members. Until then, I’m reconsidering whether this is a place I want to support.

I want to begin by expressing how magical Hanna, Shannon, and Jamie's yoga classes are. Each session feels like a journey for your body and mind, leaving you feeling balanced, rejuvenated, and ready to conquer the day. Their expertise and warmth create an atmosphere that is both challenging and inviting.

While I cannot speak for the cycle or strength classes (as I do those at home), I have heard rave reviews from friends who swear by them.

The studio is a diverse, modern, and welcoming community. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a fitness newbie, FEVER has something for everyone. Trust me, your body and soul will thank you for it!

I am a new member here, and I have only taken yoga classes so far. I’m excited to try their fit + barre classes. The teachers and staff that I have interacted with are so kind! Their yoga studio is on the smaller size (at least compared to other studios I’ve been to), which I prefer. It’s nice that the classes aren’t too large! I always leave feeling better than I did when I walked in. The only thing I struggle with is finding classes that work with my availability, especially on Friday/Saturday evenings. I have been practicing at YF for about three years now. I have also tried out several other yoga studios around the GR area within that time. There are many wonderful studios in the area but I wholeheartedly believe that YF is the best. The studio is very inclusive of all skill levels and anything else for that matter. All of the instructors focus heavily on proper form while simultaneously creating flows that are fun and challenging. The studio also offers classes outside of yoga such as barre and spin for those who might not prefer yoga or for yogi’s who want to mix things up. The environment itself is warm, modern, and always taken care of so well. The studio also offers pop up events such as kickboxing, yoga sculpt, yoga nidra, etc.. I could go on and on about my love for this space. YF is an incredible community to be a part of and I would highly recommend it to anyone new to yoga or looking for a new place to try out.

I love being a part of the YF community and am extremely grateful for this studio! The instructors are all welcoming and knowledgable. They have pop up classes too; did a yin/sound bath pop up and really liked it! Which surprised me because I normally don’t love slower paced. Cycling is a great cardio workout; 30 mins is all I need to get a great workout in! Tonight I tried their barre class and didn’t know what to expect, I’ve tried barre at other places and didn’t love it but this class might easily become a favorite of mine at yoga fever! Yes, the studio is beautiful, the variety of classes in one place are cool, the instructors are knowledgeable and the community is very welcoming. The owner though? Condescending, rude, and wildly unhelpful. After asking her to spell my name right a few times, she responded with 'Laurynn (with two n's)'. I'm not sure why she couldn't just spell my name right and be professional but okay.

I had an unlimited monthly membership and that doesn't cover any missed/late classes. If fees are changed, don't expect formal communication via email or their Instagram. You have to check the studio for postings. If you want to do the special themed rides or special yoga classes, even if you have an unlimited membership, guess what extra fee! When you try to cancel, it takes 30 days, okay valid. But you have to come in to sign a waiver, even though when you sign up online there is nothing that says you need to sign a waiver, just the 30 days. Then if you don't sign the waiver, don't give the account 30 days to reflect the cancellation and haven't taken any classes, if your monthly renewal fee comes around, you will be expected to pay or have your account go to collections. Then if you go in and sign the waiver, told by someone at the front desk it will be taken care of, that is not true. So then if you want help so your credit isn't ruined, tough.

I loved Yoga Fever so much and it was a wonderful community to be apart of. But ever since the previous studio manager was wronged and left, the communication with the owner has been awful and tedious. My communication with her was strictly via IG and email, but even if I explained myself very clearly, I was not understood. I paid a lot of money to a woman that does not respect her employees or her customers time and money.

I have been love love loving Yoga Fever🙏🏽
I started out this year with what seemed like one health concern after another (beginning with Covid itself 😬) which made it difficult for me to feel motivated and physically comfortable to exercise. But the variety of classes they offer made it easy for me to choose one that fit my body‘s needs each day! Not to mention the awesome mindbody connection I have been cultivating since beginning my membership.

I also am so happy they are open right now despite the pandemic because I, as many of us are right now, am working from home & therefore spend endless hours in my house. It feels amazing to get out & interact with this community. This membership has been worth it not only for my physical well-being but for my mental health as well!

I’m very happy & grateful to support and be supported by this studio. 🧡🧡

However, upon taking one class and experiencing the community, I dove in and out all my cards in on YTT and a continuous monthly membership! I usually never go back to a studio more than once (except my regular) but was blown away by the née style, poses & community I was being exposed to. I have never never never, been to a studio where not only the staff acknowledges your presence, but also the other students all make a point to welcome in a new member and say hello. To say the least I was touched and knew this studio was for me. Can’t recommend YF enough, my favorite Grand Rapids discovery! thank you to all the kind teachers & students, for you make this environment a place many look forward to in their day <3

I'm a 4 year YF vet, and the studio just keeps getting better! Where else can you get barre, yoga, spin, HIIT, and much more - all in one?! I adore the teachers and the way they welcome everyone in with so much energy and passion. Yoga Fever has completely revolutionized my relationship with exercise.

I have been at Yoga Fever for a week and am loving it. It can be very intimidating to walk into a new place and not know anything, but they really make you feel comfortable and at home. They are quick to learn you name, and help you with any questions you may have. I also love the variety of classes with the different times, I work two jobs and am in night school, so I’m always able to find a class that fits my work week

I absolutely love YogaFever! The studio is awesome and the staff and instructors are amazing and so so nice and helpful in every way! After doing an intro month, I went ahead and signed up for the unlimited membership because I love going to yoga as often as I can. The slow flow classes have been a perfect way for me to learn and get used to the practice and I am so happy with how far I’ve come in just two months with the help of the wonderful instructors here!

Even with the pandemic going on, I really love that I feel I don’t have to worry too much about it because they take preventative measures such as spacing people apart at appropriate distances!

YogaFever is a hidden gem in Grand Rapids. As a graduate student who is busy with school & not making much money, I decided to try an intro month with a friend to see what the gym was like. We are hooked and will both be purchasing a membership once our intro month runs out. The variety of classes keeps you busy and never bored. There are so many options of classes and the combo classes are a blast! The people are so welcoming and motivating. If you are hesitant to check it out, this is the push you've been looking for! Try it out! You won't regret it!

The instructors are upbeat and fun, and have good advice for getting started. It doesn't hurt that you can try many types of classes. Don't feel intimidated to join, and take some control over your own movement!

I have been a member of a few different small business studios in Chicago + GR and have taught at one as well. The Yoga Fever studio + ALL instructors have been my favorite! They’re motivating, positive, inclusive, workouts are challenging but DOABLE and efficient... effective on the outside, AND, the inside in terms of mental health + self confidence. I started attending before everything was shut down due to Covid. I miss cycling the most. Can’t wait until they can reopen and until then have been following them on Instagram for information. They have hold safe, socially distanced outdoor community workouts around GR. I’ve made several great friends just through attending their classes. I’m so grateful for this studio team and their community. Shannon has built something wonderful. 💛🧡

We would be giving this a zero but it doesn’t let you. My wife cancelled her account in Dec/Jan when she moved across the country. They continued to charge her for two more months before she caught it. She called to cancel before they charged her a 3rd month and a charge showed up on her account a day after that phone call. They claim to have no paperwork for her cancellation and yet to provide confirmation that they have cancelled after 2 phone calls either. They may be cheaper than other places around but that’s just because they continue to charge you for months after you have cancelled your services.

The Best Yoga in Grand Rapids! Not the same old routine week in and week out like some studios (most in GR if I’m being honest). Instead, Elaina moves you out of your comfort zone and pushes you to the edge- where growth takes place. Not for the faint of heart but still a totally judgement-free zone where everyone has permission to try... and fail... and try again. I especially like the free-flows that she does. It takes much more concentration and causes an inward journey toward new strength and calm. Thank you Elaina for bringing this style to GR! Namaste. 🙏🏻

I have been to quite a few yoga studios and have practiced for over 10 years and this is one of the best. The people of Grand Rapids have a great yoga studio tucked away in a trendy neighborhood with lots of cute shops up and down the street. I visited while on a business trip and let me tell you, if I could pick up this studio and take it back to Cleveland/ Cincinnati with me I would. It is very clean and relaxing environment for new and experienced yogis. I would go back in a heart beat. The studio was clean and hot, we practiced with the room at 99 degrees Fahrenheit. It felt amazing especially when you are done with the class and the outside temperature is 25 degrees Fahrenheit. The teacher, Shannon was amazing and adorable, she reminded me of a yoga instructor I had out west. She was very knowledgeable and helpful, if you needed small adjustments in your practice she helped. When someone in the class had a good pose going on she praised them. It was a very relaxing environment and for a 10:30 am class on a Wednesday there were quite a few people but it was not crowded. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to deepen their practice and enjoy a true hot yoga practice.

I LOVE YogaFever! I am a member there, even-though there's a studio closer to my house - I drive the extra distance because I rather have the atmosphere, the instructors and just all around vibe that Yoga Fever offers.

About a year ago, my friend and I were taking random fitness classes just doing new things. I had NEVER done yoga before, but Shannon was so awesome with her instruction during my first class that I quickly picked up each pose and was able to flow with the rest of the yogis. I continue to practice at YogaFever because no matter what class I attend, the instructor is well-prepared, knowledgeable and very very helpful for "newbies" like myself. At the same time, they recognize those in class that can move a little deeper and a little farther as seasoned yogis and will provide variations of each pose according to your comfort level. Its fun to push myself to reach new poses and I can definitely see an improvement in my strength, my fitness level, my flexibility, my asthma, my allergies... all of the above are benefits of hot yoga.

I recommend YogaFever to just about everyone in my life, you will not be disappointed. If you are new to yoga like I was, it is NOT as intimidating as you assume it to be! Give YogaFever a try, you can thank me later. :)

I first visited Yoga Fever a few months back with the goal of increasing and maintaining my flexibility. For my exercise, I typically spend quite a bit of time lifting weights in the gym and was concerned about feeling a bit too tight. Just one example is that I would often get tension headaches, as I perceived, from having a very tight trapezius stemming from my shoulder and back workouts. Since I've started practicing yoga here, I've noticed a distinct decrease in occurrence of headaches. I can't be entirely certain it's the reason, but it seems to be so. Shortly after, I made a commitment to myself by signing on for a year!

Early on in my visits, I quickly noticed the quality of the staff and studio. It has a sharp design and always is well maintained. The staff has yet to do anything but impress me with their courtesy and level of expertise. Instructors have always been mindful of each person and their own developmental stage. There has been no pressure, only responsible encouragement. I have also been impressed by the consideration and knowledge of appropriate movement, especially with attention to creating an alteration in practice when it has been needed. I must say though, goddess pose really gave me a challenge. Maybe if I hadn't done my squats and deadlifts in the gym that day I'd have had a better chance at that one!

Looking a bit more closely at a few of the details of the studio, I had never before attempted hot yoga. Increasing the temperature has allowed for increased flexibility by keeping my muscles and joints warm as I practice. Upon further research, I've found that the warmth also encourages a natural detox, and produces an increased cardio workout.

Considering the health value provided, and all of the people involved, I am happily adding this to my exercise routine. It's only been a couple months, but I certainly look forward to the future! Highly recommended!
