My daughter is starting her 8th season here this fall. We love the atmosphere, instructors, and studio owners. My daughter has made many friends and is always excited to go to class. There’s not a bunch of dance mom drama either.

I appreciate that their competition team schedule isn’t as rigorous as typical competition studios and it’s much more affordable here. The facility itself is very nice as well.

My daughter has been dancing at FDD&G since she was 3 years old and it has been the absolute best experience! We have made the best friends/dance family there and everyone has always been so sweet and supportive. I especially love their focus on technique and learning the fundamentals of dance. My daughter has grown into an amazing little dancer thanks to their wonderful teachers and owners and we look forward to many more years there!

My daughter has been dancing here for a few years now. She started with just a short Mommy and me session, and she absolutely loved it. We decided to enroll her in the following season of dance classes, and has now progressed into competition classes. She loves all the different types of dance she gets to do. The staff and owners are absolutely amazing with getting to know your child. letting their strengths shine and helping them individually on their weak points to help them grow as a dancer. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of the FDD Family!

FDD is great, they have taught my daughter so much in the last couple years and she absolutely loves attending classes there. Even when season is done she is taking summer sessions and camps they offer. The teachers are great and are always looking to help your child grow and advance. Owners and teachers are always available to answer questions. So many great memories have been made there and look forward to all the years to come!

This is my daughter's 4th season. I absolutely love the studio and the teachers. It is easy to talk with the staff members and if I have a questions they get back with me quickly. My daughter has made some good friends and loves dancing with the other kids. She looks forward to going to class. She has had issues with other students, but staff addressed it well and quickly. My son also attended dance for 2 years. He decided he didn't want to dance, but Mike and Ammiee still check in in him.

When most people think of dance. They think of the show dance moms.. Frankenmuth Dance Directions is NOT Dance Moms! The owners and teachers are nice (sometimes too nice), they care about the dancers and go above and beyond! The moms are supportive of each other. My daughter has grown in dance and acro so much since going to FDD. She used to beg not to go to dance at her old studio and now she looks forward to dance and truly loves it! When starting at FDD 4 years ago she couldn't do a back walk over and now she's doing ariels in the back yard.. I would recommend FDD over any other place around!

This will be my daughter's third year at this dance studio and its the best place she has ever danced. We have lived all over the the country, so she has been to many dance studios, and this is one of the best. The staff is so wonderful, the choreography is top notch and the girls she dances with are so sweet and caring. She is making fantastic memories here and I can't imagine being anywhere else.

My daughter is going on her fourth year of dance at the studio and honestly I wouldn’t change a thing. My daughter had issues making friends and at this studio she and I have made literal family. She started out at the age of two and has her first solo now this year along with competing with all her friends. The environment is a little bit to figure out at first. The staff is focused on the kids first, so as a parent you do have to take initiative and put yourself out there first. However, you are welcomed with open arms. Any issue I’ve ever had has been dealt with right away and the first time I asked. I cannot complain about a single teacher. They all put their heart and souls into teaching and the dances with the kids. The owners Mike and Ammiee will especially remember all the small little details about your child and make them feel special everytime they’re around. Plus they allow senior dancers to be teachers assistants which helps the girls bond with the older girls and learn new styles of dance as well. My daughter is going on her second year of competition dance with the studio and it was the most fun and inviting studio I found last year. They also took first place at nationals, and every team and individual this year qualified for nationals which says a lot. You will not find a better studio around that will literally make your child feel like home, and be welcomed with such open and welcoming arms!

My daughter is starting her 3rd season this year. She has grown in so many ways and gained the absolute best friends ever. The teachers have pushed her to be the best she can be and always find a way to make it fun. If my daughter could spend every bit of free time she has at the studio she would! I would recommend FDD&G to anyone. They have so many styles of dance and such an incredible staff that anyone would feel welcome. Class prices are very affordable but some teachers cannot control the kids in the class and much learning is lost for those there to learn dance when the teachers let other wild kids run around and disrupt class.

We joined the FDD family because our previous studio was great but did not offer competitive dance. Aimmee and Mike have created an atmosphere that makes everyone feel welcome. Every dance instructor my daughter has studied under have not only cared about ensuring techniques are acquired but also about the growth of each dancer. Seeing our comp dancers encourage and support each other both at the studio and competitions is another reason that I feel this studio is so amazing. Proud to be a part of the FDD family!

I love the studio and location, but the choreography is a little outdated. Josh is great and very up-to-date with his choreography but other "hiphop" teachers are not. Comp Acro is very dated and not enough stunts.

I don't know where to start. Choreography is very mediocre and they usually don't do well at comps. Owners and teachers both create problems between parents by telling things that they shouldn't. They also have their favorites. Children are not as advanced as children from other studios. Plenty of children have broken fingers due to inexperienced high school age dance teachers. This will be our last season at the studio. I've found a studio with a much better Tap instructor.

We attended for 2 years. I was not blown away either season. My girls found it hard to “fit in” and the drama was insane. My oldest was teased for helping another student, which made her upset. When I approached the teacher, she said “oh yeah we have a lot of issues with that one. We are trying to deal with it.” I did not see effort to make the bullying stop. That was the last straw for me. There is a lot of emphasis on competition students and not enough on the students as a whole. We couldn’t afford competition and my girls suffered because of that. I feel every student (no matter how many classes) should be treated equally and fairly. This was not our experience here. My youngest was always forgotten as well because she was well behaved in class. She told me at 4 years old “mommy, why do the bad kids get the attention, but I am left behind?” She hasn’t asked to sign up for dance class again and that breaks my heart. I think this studio focused too much on growth and not enough on quality. It should always be quality over quantity.

I would recommend Frankenmuth Dance Directions and Gymnastics over and over and over again!!! My daughter danced at a different, local studio for 6 years before we found FDD. While she was always a talented dancer, the dramatic growth in her abilities is astounding since being with FDD. From the owners (who are both the kindest, most down-to-earth people), to the amazing instructors/choreographers, and the phenomenal parents behind the dancers, Frankenmuth Dance Directions and Gymnastics truly exudes a family atmosphere, while maintaining the skill level and professionalism of a high-caliber dance studio.

My daughter is going on her 5th year of dance 4th with Frankenmuth Dance Directions. We absolutely love this studio. She just auditioned for her third year of competition dance a cannot wait for the next season to get started. The friendships we both have made here is really more like a family. They have a beyond talented staff that is so caring and patient with students. Do a great job teaching technique and pushing students to advance their skills but keeping it fun as well.
