Wasn't sure about the hot classes until I tried it out. If you are concerned that you are not well enough practiced in your Yoga, please give this a try. The classes are a great mix of skill levels.

I love the instructors they make you feel very comfortable - well until you are sweating everything out;-]

I am huge fan of Deacon's power yoga class, it is exactly what my body needs from yoga. Though I do attend many different instructors classes, as they are all excellent.

Great facility, easy parking, wonderful staff, and some bone broth if you choose. We just love it!

As much as I want to gatekeep Hot Bones, everyone deserves a place on their wellness journey that feels this thoughtful.

From the moment you walk in, the staff is warm, helpful, and genuinely friendly. They set the tone right away, can answer any question, and will even rescue you when you show up for the wrong class (forever grateful, Andre).

The instructors are top tier. Each has their own style, and the modifications they offer make every class feel approachable. There’s truly something for everyone.

The aesthetic deserves a shout-out. The branding is a whole vibe. Everything from the signage to the studio setup feels intentional and chic.

Starting a fitness journey can feel intimidating, but this place quickly became “home base” for me. The community is real. Students show up in every shape, size, and ability, and everyone is so genuinely kind. It has that same energy as meeting a stranger in a bathroom and instantly becoming friends.

And the bonuses are the cherry on top: delicious bone broth, fun pop-ups, and community events that make the whole space feel connected. It’s a place you actually look forward to walking into.

As a long student of Yoga Sculpt at Corepower for years in LA and Chicago, I was worried when I moved back to Detroit what studio would give me the same amazing workout. Well, I'm so happy to say, Hot Bones is better than any yoga/pilates studio I have ever gone to!! The classes are challenging, instructors are top-notch, and the staff is unbelievably kind and helpful. I can't say enough good things about this place! Truly, every class is SO good, but if you're looking for an extra burn Demi's Sculpt Yoga class is NEXT LEVEL! Love you HB! <3

Today, I attended the best workout class in my life.
Demi is the best instructor! She is great at not over-complicating her workouts, while still maintaining its maximum effectiveness. Sometimes less truly is more.

Her playlist was amazing and the entire class was fun and difficult. You can tell she really put time and effort into making sure the workouts aligned with the music, which truly makes a difference. It makes it so enjoyable.

Midway thru, the edible I took at 3 AM hit and the experience became near euphoric.

10/10

Side note, my second favorite class was her 80s day. I felt like an extra in ‘Perfect (1985)’

I absolutely love coming to Hot Bones! I’ve been taking mat Pilates classes here for over a year and a half and I’m closing in on 250 classes. Every single class is challenging in the best way, and I always walk out feeling better than when I walked in.

All of the instructors are fantastic and I recommend every one of them, but I especially love taking classes with Katy, Shakina, and Stephanie. The studio is always clean and well cared for, and the staff are consistently welcoming and friendly.

The bone broth is delicious and the perfect treat after an early morning fall or winter workout. The environment is inclusive and never intimidating, which makes it a great place for anyone interested in mat Pilates—whether you’re new or experienced.

I highly recommend Hot Bones!

If you're looking for a workout class in Detroit, this is it!

The staff is welcoming and the instructors are top-notch. Sculpt Pilates classes are my favorite, but the Yoga classes can be a challenge too. I've also heard the restorative classes are a great option for something more chill.

I've been going to classes regularly for nearly a year. They offer enough classes to work around your schedule – just be sure to schedule in advance. Their Bone Broth is also great (and you don't need to attend class to get it).

5 out 5 stars!

Hot Bones is the best place for Hot Yoga and Pilates! The instructors are supportive, the classes are challenging, and the studio has the perfect heat. Demi’s classes / Sculpt Yoga classes are particularly challenging! Cured my sciatica within a few months of classes! I’ve gained strength, flexibility, and stress relief from both the Hot Yoga classes and Pilates workouts. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve fitness and well-being!

Staff - Andre and others all very helpful. Great customer service! Great broth! I also recommend trying SmlWrld Coffee and Matcha as well!

Management at Hot Bones seems far more interested in squeezing every possible dollar than in providing a fair, guest-centered experience. I was automatically added to a class from the waitlist in the middle of the night, didn’t even see the confirmation until morning, and was still charged. When I asked for a refund and to cancel my membership, I didn’t feel the same hospitality and flexibility that first attracted me here.

The sad part is that the classes, instructors, team, and even the drinks and bone broth are genuinely great — but join Hot Bones expecting to be treated as if they’re doing you a favor, not as a valued guest. That shift in attitude is why I’ve ended my membership.

After posting this review, the owner emailed me offering to refund the $32 charge I had asked before, if I removed or changed my review. I declined, as I believe reviews should reflect honest experiences. I also understand that offering incentives for review removal violates Google’s review policies

I hope the studio rethinks its priorities and brings back the guest-centered care it once had.

I have been coming to Hot Bones since the beginning of this year and it has truly become one of my favorite places in Detroit and an integral part of my weekly routine. Between the welcoming environment, incredible instructors, and aesthetic space, I would highly recommend this studio to anyone interested in pilates/yoga in a heated format.

Regardless of skill level, it is an amazing workout and the instructors do a great job of changing up the exercises each day. Even after over 100 classes, I continue to feel challenged both physically and mentally in all the best ways. Thank you, Hot Bones, for consistently curating one of the most positive and intentional spaces in the city! 🫶🏻

I've been coming to this studio for almost a year and I love the classes. My only complaint is that they've been neglecting the comfort of their clients lately. There are more and more mats, and you squeeze in, accidentally touching the person next to you. The instructors themselves sometimes forget this, with exercises that are impossible to perform without invading someone's space. I don't remember this happening when I first started coming :(.

I’ve been a member at Hot Bones since the very beginning, and it’s truly become one of my favorite places. The community here is supportive, and filled with good energy. The staff is great, especially Andre, who consistently goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcome and taken care of.

I’m obsessed with the bone broth, it tastes so incredible. I literally crave it everyday. Also, major shoutout to Andre again, when I accidentally dropped my phone behind one of the built-in cabinets (yes, somehow that happened even though the cabinets are built in to the wall), he handled it so professionally. He got contractors in quickly and made sure it was resolved ASAP.

Overall, I have loved my time at Hot Bones and going to miss it so much!!

Just finished my 16th class at hot bones. I had never taken a group exercise class let alone a heated Pilates class. I have fallen in love with sculpt Pilates through hot bone's. Rachel and Janelle are my favorite instructors. Janelle is absolutely phenomenal with great energy. My only issue is the mats are too close together. Every single class I’ve had to be extra aware of my surroundings to make sure I am not hitting anyone, which takes away from the experience in my opinion.

What a space, what a workout! I was new to Pilates and the practice and found the instructors to be so knowledgeable and they sure do they know how to make you work!

I absolutely love it, from the heat 🔥, various class types (sculpt will leave your muscles screaming in the best way!), the vibes and the instructors! They truly make it what it is and they’ve found some gems! 💎 It’s become my favorite place to be and have find myself there often - daily…

I truly have seen the benefits from consistent movement, Pilates principled workouts and a good ol’ infrared sweat!! 💦 The impact on my life has been incredible, grateful for this space and community to be apart of!

I was introduced to Hot Bones Detroit through friends who swore by the Sculpt Pilates Express classes with Amina Daniels—and after just a few sessions, I understood why. I quickly became hooked.

The energy and community at Hot Bones are nothing short of inspiring. Every morning class feels like a reset—a space where you’re not only welcomed, but challenged to show up for yourself. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and intentional about helping you push your limits in a safe and empowering way. You’ll earn every drop of sweat, and it’s worth every moment.

What sets HB apart is its holistic approach to movement. The restorative yoga and Intro to Stretch classes have helped me reconnect with my body and breath, offering deep recovery and grounding. Meanwhile, the Sculpt Yoga and Pilates classes have become essential to my physical rehabilitation and strength building.

Hot Bones isn’t just a studio—it’s a sanctuary for mind-body wellness, and I’m grateful to be part of it.

Hot Bones is an exceptional studio that seamlessly blends modern minimalism with an urban industrial aesthetic, perfect for the energy of today’s Detroit and Milwaukee Junction. The space is immaculately maintained, offering a serene, cool and welcoming environment

The variety of classes—from yoga and Pilates to HIIT—are all expertly designed and delivered to the highest standard. The instructors are not only deeply knowledgeable but also warm and encouraging, creating an atmosphere where both beginners and seasoned practitioners feel welcomed. Their technical mastery is abundantly clear passion, and yet they ensure that every session is a fun, uplifting and positive experience.

I love that the fee is all inclusive—class fee, towel, mat.

Having left every class I’ve taken energized and also deeply relaxed, having thoroughly enjoyed, it was an easy decision to upgrade from drop-in visits to a full unlimited membership.

Got Bones maybe the best hot yoga and Pilates I’ve experienced between Toronto, New York and now Detroit.

Took one class. If you’re trying to get a workout in before work, they don’t really offer changing rooms.
The room is very crammed. Not great if you’re tall. I was worried I would accidentally kick someone around me. Actually, during the workout the girl in-front of me touched my foot a couple of times.

I had never taken a group Pilates class before, but after my first session at Hot Bones, I was completely hooked! The studio itself is calming, clean, and chic. Navigating the space is a breeze, the building feels secure, and the staff is welcoming.

The real star of the show, though, is Demi. She’s an absolutely phenomenal instructor—knowledgeable, encouraging, and really knows her stuff. Demi is always cheerful and her positivity is infectious! She quickly learned my name after just a few classes and greeted me with a smile every morning there after. One of my favorite parts about working out with Demi is that each of her classes is unique. You never get the same experience twice.

Demi has a knack for making everyone feel comfortable, whether you’re a seasoned Pilates pro or a complete beginner. Her cues are crystal clear, and she’s always quick to offer modifications or extra challenges depending on your needs. You can tell she puts a lot of thought into crafting well-balanced, creative routines (with a great taste in music to match) that leave you feeling both accomplished and rejuvenated. I always leave Demi’s class feeling stronger and more flexible. Since relocating out of Detroit, I’ve wished she had a YouTube channel or a subscription service so I could continue working out with her virtually—she’s that good!

The only downside to Hot Bones is how quickly the classes fill up. If you’re on the waitlist, there’s a good chance you’ll get in, but you might get notified late at night. Be sure to check your texts! Missing the notification could result in a $15 no-show fee, so always assume you’ll make it off the waitlist.

Hot Bones and Demi have set the bar incredibly high for any future Pilates experience. Highly recommend!

This place is the place to be on either a Saturday morning or an evening on the weekday. The instructors are truly there to encourage and inspire you to push yourself. The atmosphere is refreshing with the minimal decor and earthy vibes. The no mirrors in the workout room is also a great thing to experience, you don't have to worry about how you look while you workout and you get a chance to truly immerse yourself in the practice. Every-time I take a class, I leave refreshed and motivated to take on the day!

The room is well heated and the instructions are knowledgeable with smart sequencing, accessible poses, and great music. After class, you can grab a cup of bone broth, hang out in the lounge area, and take some mirror selfies! The team put a ton of thought into every detail of the experience. Hot Bones is an incredibly inspiring and one-of-a-kind studio with instructors who truly make an impact. The workouts are thoughtfully designed to build progressively each week, helping you strengthen your body and mind from the inside out. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned fitness enthusiast, this studio meets you exactly where you are on your fitness journey.

The studio itself is stunningly aesthetic, immaculately clean, and offers a unique perk—a delicious bone broth to enjoy after your workout. I have been attending classes at Hot Bones for a few weeks now and, for the most part, have had an amazing experience. Every instructor I’ve worked with—except Demi Adamczyk has been supportive, encouraging, and professional. Unfortunately, my experiences in Demi’s classes have been the complete opposite.

To put it bluntly, Demi is rude, dismissive, and downright condescending. She repeatedly referred to me as “back girl,” making me feel singled out and humiliated in front of the entire class. When I struggled with my form, instead of offering guidance like every other instructor I’ve had, she grew visibly impatient and refused to help. Unlike others who take the time to step away from the mic to correct and encourage students individually, Demi seems to thrive on publicly embarrassing people.

Her behavior feels targeted, and I can’t help but wonder if it’s because I don’t fit her narrow view of what a Pilates client should look like. Her “mean girl” attitude is not only unprofessional but also deeply discouraging.

I initially planned to continue attending Hot Bones while avoiding Demi’s classes, but to my frustration, I walked into what was supposed to be Stephanie’s class (who, by the way, is incredible) only to find Demi was covering. There was no notice, no email—nothing. If I’d been informed, even on the morning of, I would have skipped the class altogether.

This experience has completely turned me off from Hot Bones. I will be sharing my honest review on all platforms—Yelp, Google, social media, you name it—because people deserve to know what they’re walking into.

I hope you seriously reconsider who you allow to represent your studio. Instructors like Demi undermine the supportive and empowering environment Pilates is supposed to foster.

I’ve been going to Hot Bones for over a year and I can say deciding to get an unlimited membership and attending classes consistently has been some of the best decisions I’ve made this year! Since the beginning, the studio has been welcoming and the classes have been amazing. I was new to group fitness classes/working out in general and was hoping to develop a healthy relationship with my body. Hot Bones has helped me value my health and fitness both physically and mentally. I feel accomplished and encouraged to continue to grow. I’ve loved seeing Hot Bones grow over the year in their community, bone broth, merchandise, instructors, different classes and events! I would 100% recommend trying out a class with any instructor and any class to get a feel of the studio and you WILL be back for more.

For $190 a month, the experience falls far short of expectations. There is no locker room or designated changing area, only two bathrooms that are constantly crowded during peak hours, causing delays for both bathroom use and class attendance. Classes are overcrowded, with extra mats added to the room, leaving little space to work out comfortably. The environment is often disruptive, as parties held in the lobby during class times force instructors to turn up the music, making it hard to hear instructions. Instead of prioritizing members’ needs, the studio recently used valuable space to showcase furniture from a brand partnership rather than improving amenities. Despite being a member, there’s no priority booking for classes over non-members, and every class is waitlisted. Canceling a class within three hours of its start time results in an additional $15 fee. Storage options are equally disappointing, with poorly designed cubbies in the lobby that don’t lock securely. Overall, the space feels uncomfortable, overcrowded, and poorly managed, prioritizing trends over the experience of its paying members.

I have LOVED going to Hot Bones. Shakina Russell’s class is my favorite class.

I’m giving 3 stars because I went to a 6:30 class today. It was raining and there was an accident on the lodge that I was unaware of which changed my destination time from 6:19 to 6:29. The parking is difficult given the location. I arrived at the door at 6:33 and was told I was not able to attend the class even given the circumstances. I understand the policy of locking the door when class starts. The lack of compassion is frustrating as life happens and the class is $32 and non refundable which makes attending future classes discouraging.

Had such a relaxing and healing class with yoga instructor Adria for the Restorative yoga class at 7:45 pm. Easy registration. Free street parking is available. Instructor Adria was calm, and welcoming, and gave different options for comfort levels in the yoga class. The space is clean and open. Yoga mats and other materials were provided. Felt nice to do a restorative yoga class while sweating from the heated room. Overall, it was a good experience. Highly recommend space and class.

Recommendations: The price point for the class is a little steep but worth it. Curious if they offer free/discounted community classes for those who can benefit from this studio, but are unable to pay the full class price. Beef bone broth was a great touch but a little bland. Hoped they offered an in-house/homemade pepper oil or pepper powder to add to the broth for those who like spice.

Joined a slow flow yoga class this morning to kick off my birthday weekend. We received a warm welcome and parking was easy (will also note the studio sends an extremely detailed pre-class email with any questions you may have which made my type a brain SO happy).
The class was perfectly curated and the instructor, Giustina, was warm, engaging, challenging and offered live modifications and adjustments to fit all participants.
The only con is the studio isn’t closer to where I live lol it was definitely worth the drive for me and am hoping to return in the near near future! 10/10

However - Amazing instructors. 🤌 Amazing & unique yoga flows. LOVE the HIIT Pilates. Wish the 45 minute classes were an hour long, but oh well. Wish there were more classes offered on the weekends, too. Hoping to see this studio expand more over time. 🤓 Initially thrown off kilter by not being able to bring my own mat, but now I love that about it! “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable,” - right?! 😝 Love this place. 10/10

After taking hot yoga and Pilates classes for almost 20 years, I was so excited to go to an infrared Pilates class and enjoy bone broth afterwards. Guess what? No bone broth. It, literally, states on the door that it’s a yoga and Pilates studio with a bone broth bar hybrid concept. That’s like advertising chicken and waffles and running out of chicken 🐔 I was told that the restaurant that supplied the bone broth went out of business and they were also trying a new formulary. If it were my business, I would find a temporary solution even if it were packaged bone broth (from a reputable vendor).

But…the staff were excellent. Andre gave me a nice tour and offered me an extra towel because I was just in town for the day. And DiDi’s class was amazing. We worked our entire body and it was challenging without being ridiculous. She is so personable and I felt very welcomed by both.

Two things to note: the temp of the studio was 95 when we started, then 94, and 93 when we finished despite all the bodies packed in and working hard emitting a lot of heat. So I’m not sure if the heaters were on. For me, the hotter the better. Also, I took a Pilates class with weights, bands and a ball. The ball was significantly deflated and harder to use. The balls should be assessed more often for firmness.

Overall, Andre and DiDi made my experience worth the visit. Great workout.

As a person who has never done Pilates, this was a great introduction! Andre helped me out, showed me around and made me feel comfortable and reassured. Deedee was my instructor last night and I loved how engaged she was with the class. She has really good suggestions throughout and continued to assure us to push ourselves but also listen to our body. To top it off, the bone broth was amazing and I felt rejuvenated after class! Highly recommend checking this place out.

If you haven’t been to hot bones!! RUN don’t walk !! Amina is an amazing instructor. I have asthma and when i do other hot studios I can never last because the space is too hot !! Hot bones infrared studio leaves me internally hot and breathe still left in my lungs.

Went to my first class last night, and as someone who hasn't worked out proper in a few years, I cannot explain how comfortable, welcoming, and approachable my first time coming to Hot Bones was. Prior to my class I received some really helpful information via email on what to expect and how to prepare. Post-class they sent me an email on how to recover and reap all of the benefits from our session which has been incredibly beneficial. There's a class for everyone here no matter what level of difficulty you're comfortable working out with. :)

Hot Bones has been such a nice addition to my weekly routine. It's special to be able to get a studio with different types of workouts: yoga, pilates. I already feel stronger and healthier because of my weekly routines at Hot Bones. As an experienced yogi, i've found that the pilates classes really engage my body in ways that yoga may not. I feel stronger because weights have been added to my workouts and I can also tell my stamina has increased from the cardio aspects of the HIIT classes. My only complaint is that Hot Bones doesn't have a shower! I wish I could shower up before or after class!

Took my first class last night and loved it. The space is great, industrial but warm and welcoming. There were all different types of people and it was amazing.

Amina's HIIT Pilates was excellent, as always.

Love this space! I've been searching for a yoga/pilates studio in the city & once Hot Bones opened I knew it was going to be my go-to spot. It's such a vibe in there and every instructor is incredibly welcoming and kind. The classes are all guided & the instructors provide support whenever it is needed. You leave feeling confident & excited for your next workout! The unlimited membership was 100% worth it!❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Phenomenal classes and teachers in a beautiful studio space. I was visiting Detroit from NYC and took two classes: HIIT Pilates and Power Yoga. Both were outstanding. I’m very particular about Power Yoga and the class was on par with the classes I’m used to in NYC - perfectly paced quicker flows that were challenging in all of the right ways. I’m excited to come back and try more of their class formats (and bone broth soon!). HIGHLY recommend ❤️‍🔥🦴

Hot Bones is a haven of wellness thanks to the incredible team of instructors that have been so thoughtfully put together. You feel so welcome as soon as you walk in the door and classes are accessible for whatever level you come with. Do yourself a favor and grab an unlimited membership because you'll want to keep coming back after your first class. Also - The interior design is aesthetically so beautifully done.

The unlimited membership has been 100% worth it. The instructors are all fantastic and provide a unique experience. The infrared heat is such a good addition too! I’ve struggled finding studios/gyms that are inclusive, don’t use problematic language around fitness/diet, and provide a great workout with good music, but I finally found it!! HOT BONES is absolutely killing it ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 OH also the fact that they’ll have a vegan broth when the bone broth bar opens is so chef’s kiss

The space is beautiful and the community that Lara has created is so kind and welcoming. Pilates with Amina was such an incredible workout. I died like three times and was drenched in sweat from head to toe but I think I have abs after just one class. Can't wait to do it again. Thank you!! 🙌

I LOVE taking classes and being a part of the HOT BONES community. All of the instructors have a different style of teaching, so my unlimited membership has really been worth it to build both a yoga and pilates practice. It's help me gained strength quickly, and helped me manage my chronic back pain. Everyone who works there and who I meet are kind and friendly. I especially love that the studio is on one floor, has single stall accessible restrooms, and has lots of natural lights. With all of the equipment provided, all I need to remember to bring is some water.
