Hands down the best gym within 50 miles. The equipment is always clean, the most friendly staff possible. The owners are some of the most genuine people I have ever met.

I workout at a college gym during the school year and being able to come back here is night and day difference with cleanliness and environment. All thanks to the team at Iron Lab.

Bonus: One of the owners of the gym helped me (21 yr old) fix my taillight that went out. Mind you I barely know the gas from the break. I was lost and she came out to the parking lot, took the old bulb out, took the time to teach me, and put the new one in for me.

This gym is hot, crowded, and disorganized.

About half of the equipment is old and falling apart, and a lot of the new equipment is awkward to use. I bring my own tools because Iron Lab doesn't maintain their equipment very well. Bolts come loose on a variety of equipment which I have to tighten myself, and some equipment is really hard to adjust. They don't seem to know that lubrication exists.

There's no stand-alone pull up bar, so you'd better hope someone isn't doing squats or anything on the cable machine if you want to do any pull ups.

They only have 3 small fans sitting on the floor for the entire gym, and no ceiling fans. Even on cooler days the building doesn't cool down in the summer. So it's hot, and there's very little airflow to help.

A lot of people don't take care of their equipment here, and when they do they just throw weights where ever they feel like it, making it very disorganized. There's sometimes not enough weights for all the machines, so they get scattered and you have to go looking.

It's way too busy, so much so that I've had to switch to early morning workouts. Basically from 3pm - 9pm it's packed, meaning you'll struggle to stick to your workout plan unless you stand around waiting for equipment to become available. Even at 5am it sometimes gets busy enough that I find it hard to stick to my workout plan.

The gym only responds to messages about membership or day passes. I've asked about getting more fans and also informed them of some equipment that needs attention, and gotten no response.

Unfortunately, it's currently the only half decent gym on the south side of Holland, and even with these complaints it's better than flex imo.

Great gym!
Pros: Large space inside with everything you need. Upstairs some turf and cardio equipment to stretch, push a slide, flip a tire, etc. Downstairs large cable machines, multiple benches, dead lift platforms, press machines, pull machines, hip thrust and glute machines, multiple leg machines, squat racks. Locker room with showers and suana. 24/7 access. Reasonable membership.
Cons: Gets hot in the summer, people don't put away weight plates in any organized order (especially when the kids are home for the summer), sometimes people trash the bathroom (but the owner works hard to resolve it), no regular treadmills.

Overall, I think the pros outweigh the cons. There are plenty of machines and equipment to workout as a strength athlete/bodybuilder you just have to deal with some college/high school kids from time to time which is probably anywhere.

A versatile abundance of equipment, 24/7 sauna, and a tanning booth during staffed hours. Switched from another 24/7 gym I spent 4 years at - Iron Lab Fitness is a massive upgrade. Love this place.

Warehouse gym with great equipment and friendly, down to earth owners. My brother and I have been going to this gym for years and have never had an issue or complaint. Sauna, lifting equipment (Free weight and machines), and cardio machines. Couple deadlift platforms. One of the best bodybuilding gyms in West MI.

I was in town for a few volleyball matches and was looking for a good local gym with free weights that would accept a day pass. One of the managers (I believe) let me in outside of normal non-member hours and took care of me- Had a great lift and sauna afterwards. I'll definitely be headed back when we return next year!

My boyfriend and I joined and like it so far. Definitely better than planet fitness. The sauna is great & the best part is that it's open 24/7vto members. The equipment has been used and abused but that's about it. My only complaint is that there is hardly ever rags to clean the equipment or there's hardly any solution in spray bottles. But I typically go around 11pm or after and by then the rags do have a stench. Other than that it's a great gym to join! Update: a month in and still loving it!
Another update: We stopped going because life got crazy and we started going again & it's so nice being back!!

Large space with great light. I am a deadlifter so I appreciated the dedicated deadlift platforms with handy weight racks. I was visiting Holland and I would make this my home gym if I lived in Holland.

It's OK, no frills. Lots of free weights. Month to month no contracts. I like the dry sauna. Little pricey at $45/month., but it will vet you in shape. Even the women are strong lol.

was there for about 3 months, called to cancel because of a double charge for the monthly payments of 45.00. left voice-mail after voice-mail with no call returned, until July tried cancelling inMay. it was a good gym to go to, but customer service is terrible now I'm out $135.00 because they were having "problems" with their voice-mail. if you go there pay attention to what gets pulled out for monthly payments

Love to see a non-commercial gym like this! If I was local I’d drive well out of my way to use the facility. Visiting family and stopped by; equipment is top of the line, clean, Tom was working and offered us a tour & was super nice. This place is awesome. They have everything I need, sled, row machine, and tons of free weights for whatever exercise you need. 24 hour access for members is great as well. I do wish they had a couple "normal" treadmills, but I can live with the curved self powered ones.

The owners are very welcoming. So glad I found this gym! Heather is so helpful. Thank you for guiding me in the most basic ways to get started on a program I can do to meet my needs and the great facility you guys made to accommodate so many different needs. Tip if you want to tan at a specific time come before 3:30pm. In the ladies' restroom area there's lockers just for when you're using this area, a dry rocks only sauna, two main shower stalls and one special needs shower stall they are all a nice size. The treadmills are automatic. They go with your speed you're going. That's wonderful!

I was on a three month training plan with Charlotte and she was EXACTLY the type of trainer I needed. She was always willing to work WITH me and didn't only have one specific way of training. She would always change up the work outs and test my body and push it to it's limits while being respectable of my needs and wants out of a work out plan. I've dealt with disordered eating before and she never made me do anything to trigger my past. If anything she worked with it really well. I went down from an XL shirt to a small and down a few pant sizes as well but the best part is that I FEEL good. I have so much more energy and actually look forward to my work outs. My 3 month training program is over but I've decided to continue because Iron Lab is the only place that's made me feel like their programs and trainers work with you. 10/10 would recommend Iron Lab and Charlotte Kapitza!

I went to this gym 3 times during my Christmas visit in 2017. Their day pass was an awesome deal! In addition to all the weights and aerobic machines you would normally see at a gym, they had a couple of rooms dedicated to obstacle course type training. The staff was dedicated to keeping the gym clean and welcomed me genuinely (Ashton was very nice and knowledgeable). I will be back next Christmas visit!

A GREAT gym in the Holland area! If you like big, open space, a great selection of exercise equipment and exercise options, this is a great place to be! Very fair membership rates, AND unlike FAMILY FITNESS, you don't sign a contract to pay over $1000.00 for your membership.
