I've practiced here for over ten years. This studio has infrared lights and classes are in near-dark. There are a range of classes, from gentle Yin to Power Yoga. I've gotten the deepest stretch and meditation, while simultaneously getting the hardest workout I've ever been through. And I've also had the most relaxing evening I can remember at this studio. The range is the best part. I love this place.

I was referred to Ita by a friend and I am SO grateful! After suffering a diagnosis of RA some years ago, getting back on the mat has been invaluable. Painful, emotional and wonderful! I am so grateful! The studio is warm, the instructors are kind and I highly recommend Ita Yoga Studio!

I've been practicing yoga at this studio for three years now, and it's been an incredible journey. As a high school teacher, one of my students told me today, "Ms. Neeb, you have made my life better." On my way to yoga class tonight, it really hit me that my practice extends far beyond the mat and the studio. The lessons I learn here allow me to carry peace and positivity into my everyday life and share it with others.
Over the past three years, I’ve experienced many life-changing moments, and having this studio as a place to find balance, peace, and a supportive community has been essential in keeping me grounded. Plus, I’ve expanded my musical library because the music here is amazing! I’m so grateful to have found this little slice of heaven.

I had a great experience! I felt very welcomed upon arrival, instructions were clear and helpful during the class, and the overall environment was very calm and comfortable. I'm so happy I branched out and tried something new, and I plan to continue with more classes! Thank you for the wonderful experience!

I’ve been doing hot yoga for several years and I would recommend you take your business elsewhere. For the following reasons:
1. Want to fill your water bottle? Expect to wait in the bathroom line because that is your only free option (the bathroom faucet) or pay for what they have for sale.
2. Forget your hair tie? Instead of having them readily available like any other studio I’ve been too, you can pay $5 for them.
3. Their music is so loud the teachers use a mic set.
4. The teachers do not do the class with you, so you have to know the postures.
5. Only liked half the teachers there (Mandy and Catherine).
6. The room does not get hot enough. Sometimes I’ve barely sweat during classes.
7. Owner is rude and has bad business practices. I bought a January package and the studio was unexpectedly closed one of the last days of the month to use it. I asked if she could comp a class or refund because that would’ve been my last opportunity to use that package. She said no.
I’ve been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years and hot yoga for several. So I know a good studio from a bad one. There are better options in Ann Arbor.

I thought that the class was well timed and followed etiquette. The teacher was very knowledgeable. I liked that there was a beginner level, and that it included a warm-up and cool down. The room was clean, peaceful and warm.

I am loving this studio! It has such great energy. I’ve taken the slow flow classes and I feel cared for while also being challenged. Ita gives you time to really sink into the poses and offers great reminders to help you get the most out of each asana. So grateful to have found this space.

If I could add more stars, I would. I told my friend yesterday that I got back from one of the best yoga studios in Ann Arbor and I felt so peaceful and calm. I love yoga with Ita’s direction. She is so skilled in her craft and I can’t recommend highly enough. I’m newer to the studio so am unable to comment on other instructors. I hope to take some of their sessions soon.

Because “10” is similar in appearance to “Io”, the fourth moon of Jupiter. And “Jupiter” pronounced backwards is “Reti puj”, which sounds like “Ready Pudge?”. And, while I don’t actually utter these words, technically, I suspect that in another universe there’s a version of me who is overweight, and calls themself (affectionately, you know, like might call yourself “dummy” if you ran into the sliding door at the supermarket before it opened) “Pudge”. So, by the third rule of the fourth dimension, cross your T’s, carry the 1, repeat the hidden incantation on the magic scroll hidden under the floorboard in “Mandy’s spot” n the studio, that equals “10”.

The teacher was fabulous. The room wasn't too hot, but don't overdress. My only complaint is the volume of the music. I was astonished at how loud it was. I found it very nerve jangling. I could hear the teacher's voice over the music which was very soothing. I could see that she was a great teacher. I loved the Vinyasa moves and the flow she created. She is obviously very knowledgable. However, I won't go there again because the music is too loud. I know they have to do that because they want to drown out the sounds in the mall around their studio. I go to yoga to be calmed in mind and body but that noise increased my stress level. I had to take a long walk after to clear my head. However, ,my friend has been going there for years and LOVES it. She is not at all bothered by the volume. So.. this is just a personal preference. Maybe I should wear ear plugs.

I was able to attend a class during traveling for a work trip. I attended an outdoor class in Gallup Park with Mandy. Beautiful setting in the park. She was an amazing instructor. Great, calming voice - pure perfection. Super welcoming to both beginners and new students from out of town. I would HIGHLY recommend.

I did the outdoor yoga and mimosas class and it was one of the best times I have had in a very long time. I’m so intimidated by yoga because I’m not flexible at all but it was very relaxing and just a really beautiful experience. They had live instrumentals and a teacher leading us. Everyone seemed very non judgmental. I also met Ita and she was really welcoming and sweet. I highly recommend giving the classes a shot.

I wish everyone could meet a yoga teacher like Ita! All of the teachers here are great, but Ita is by far my favorite. It's so refreshing to join a studio that is welcoming and encouraging. The teachers here go beyond just taking you through a sequence of poses. They have an educated understanding of the physical body and integrate this knowledge into the practice of yoga. I always leave class feeling far better than when I first stepped on my mat (which unfortunately is not true of all yoga studios I have practiced at). I also love that they teach different styles of yoga, so you can find a class and pace that is right for you!

I attended the Slow Vinyasa All Levels class led by Ita, what an experience.
The atmosphere is very calming and welcoming; from the sounds to the low light and the heated studio.
They also have an app which is where I check my class schedule or find out about cancelations due to weather.
I definitely recommend

I have been practicing yoga for five years now. I have taken classes at different studios, even in different cities. I have never experienced the effect Ita's class has anywhere else. It has everything to do with Ita herself. She brings something sincere to the experience. She creates a feeling of ease that clears the way for a transformative experience.

Very good studio. Pays attention to students, but not much posture adjustment. There's an expectation that you have some yoga under your belt I think. The vinyasa classes are demanding in a good way. Good ashtanga flow. Yes, the doors are closed a few minutes after the practice start time. This is not a studio for rushing in late and throwing your mat down. I like that. My practice is meaningful and inward focused. I'd rather have to come back to a different class than barge in late. Not to say I haven't nailed it down Plymouth Road at times. :) I've been to five studios in A2 since moving here, and this place resonates with me.

I love Ita and the Ita Yoga Studio. I feel relaxed as soon as I walk into the studio. Supporting a small business is very important to me and that is another reason why I will continue going to this studio. There is nothing corporate about it. Ita is the only teacher, as of right now, which makes for the best teacher every time; she has no students so the customers always get to experience the expert!
As any good yoga studio, you won't be let in late because practice is already in session for the 20+ customers that showed up on time, and that is Ita's priority, as it should be. There are several different classes and she caters each class based on the participants that showed up.
I love Ita's voice, it is very relaxing and I love her script and how she starts and ends each practice, as well as the soundtracks she plays through out. The music is catered to the energy of the room and is practice specific.
As with ANY yoga studio, there is a mat rental fee. The packages are a bit on the pricey side but it's well worth it and is supporting a small, growing business in Ann Arbor. Oh, and there are lockers, cubbies, hooks, etc to store your things...
I have been to MANY different yoga studios and this is my favorite one for a myriad of reasons, and that is why I will stay!
Namaste
