I trained under Sensai Norton at this dojo years ago when I lived in Jackson and am pleased to see it still going strong. Sensai Norton is a patient teacher dedicated to this beautiful martial art. I've looked for another school since moving to Grand Rapids and haven't found one at this level.

I've only trained with this dojo for a few months, just long enough to earn my yellow belt, and I loved every bit of it. The instructors at the dojo are very patient with their students and take time to work with them on things they don't quite understand right away and are very friendly toward everyone that enter the dojo, whether as students or visitors. I highly recommend this dojo to anyone that wants to take up a traditional style of karate that is effective toward their personal health and fitness as well as being generally fun to learn

Great place to train and learn. Okinawan karate, along with a solid lineage. Promotes real contact when applying techniques, for the attacker and the one applying the technique.

I donβt see a website for this dojo, I have a few question about what disciplines are taught and cost of classes as well as times and date. Iβd love it if you could get back to me when possible Norton.

if you're looking for a traditional, old world martail arts, you got it here. if you're looking for modern, realistic street fighting martial arts, go somewhere else.
