Easy access, friendly people excellent venue. Historic building with modern amenities. We went to watch women's gymnastics a few times now. Ample seating and not a bad view anywhere in the building. General seating ticket allow you to travel about the venue and get up close views at each event. Clean bathrooms. Wheelchair accessible.

For a D1 school I would assume a better set up. The food ventor charges $6 for a shriveled hot dog and the event staff is clueless. You cant hand an athlete food at the entrance it must be brought in through the side door???? Why???
The fees weren't bad for admission and bathrooms are getting dated. No seating was available for people with disabilities, if you wanted to sit you needed to climb the steps.
As for the amount of parking for this event location be prepared to WALK ALOT. I cant believe that dont even have people telling you were you can park or which spots are avaliable since its a weekend. Nearly 50% of the parking is labeled reserved.

My kid
has been playing indoor league soccer. The Field house is a fun setup. Field 2 is interestingβ¦.playing off the walls and rounded corners like a hockey arena.

Went for my granddaughter's graduation. Didn't know about the clear bag only rule. Had to return my purse to the car. A LOT of walking! No information was given on website regarding parking, bags. It would be nice to have more information especially for older people.

The old Field House was home to some of the biggest names in basketball. One of the last was Irving Magic Johnson, to name one of many. The place since that time has received some upgrades when it comes to bathrooms and seating scoreboards and just general features. Jenison Fieldhouse is up to par and is always an enjoyable place to take in many of the secondary sports events at MSU, and they often host many other sponsored sporting League events

We came here to watch the gymnastic match. Free for students who bring MSU Student ID Card. How about my family members who watched too? I'm not really sure. I bought the ticket online for my wife ($5) and my kids ($3/kid), but when we arrived no one checked the tickets.

Was a nice facility for how old it is. Needs to be updated. The bench seating is terrible and the bathrooms are from the 80s with no AC at all. All was clean though.

The overall structure and atmosphere was surprisingly underwhelming for a colligate event. However, that's where the negatives end. I've never been so close to the action at a gymnastics event! The jr Spartan day was a fun filled event for my kids, which included food, carnival games, and of course Sparty. The competition was excellent and the crowd was really spirited.

A smaller arena that was the perfect size for a volleyball match. Even sitting in the very top row, I could see every play. I like visiting places like this - there is definitely some history here in these older buildings on MSU's campus.

The volleyball games are amazing! Exciting, fast-paced, powerful sets. The field house needs some updates, for sure, but the games are still fun. The crew and the cheerleaders definitely try to keep everyone having a good time as well. When the band is there, it gets amped up.

Attended MSU volleyball match. Season ticket holder for some yrs. MSU volleyball attendance averages abt 3,000. There is plenty of good seating. Most is bench seating without backs. The playing facilities are good. The team and the conference is very high quality every year. Most matches are very competitive; NCAA tournament level play. Two concession stands. Prices are high. Quality varies. Some times not very fresh or good generally. Restrooms normally clean. Limited sinks to wash up. No bags or outside food or drinks. Tickets vary from $5 to $10. Paid parking is usually $5.

I was just there for a college wrestling tournament. The facility is WAY outdated. Very difficult to see matches on screen and scores at tables. Not to mention only 1 mens rest room in the whole place. The women at least had 2.
Snack bar was poor and expensive.
I have seen better venues at high schools.
Central Michigan and U of M stand out compared to the Jemison Feild House.
