Just as lovely, intentional and welcoming as the Wealthy studio. I've enjoyed every class I've taken at Kula, and every teacher who's taken the time to guide me through those classes. Absolutely the best yoga studio in the Grand Rapids area.

Excited to see the new space in Rockford this fall!

Megan and Audrey were so wonderful to work with! I recently catered a retreat of theirs and they possessed all the qualities I look for in a client - considerate, communicative, and super friendly. The positivity they put into their work was clearly reflected in the group they hosted as well!

I returned to the mat after I lost someone very near and dear to me. This is when I discovered Kula at their Leonard location. Every person on the team that I have interacted with has gotten to know my name, a little bit about my situation and my work. I feel cared for, supported and welcomed. The classes are diverse and all levels welcome. I can’t believe I didn’t return to the mat sooner, knowing how great this place is. I highly recommend Kula!

Signed up my partner and I to attend a class together. My partner was on waitlist and we had intentioned to attend together so we both showed up hoping a spot would open up. Upon arriving, We were told the class was full, but person checking us in assured us we wouldn’t be charged if both of us didn’t want to attend together. Later that day, I was charged another $18 fee, in addition to each paying $18 for this class. I emailed them asking for a refund as I was charged $54 ($18x3). Owner refused our request even though we were told we wouldn’t be charged. Very disappointing and don’t feel this was fair considering we never attended a class and were still charged $54. Let owner know we no longer live in GR and would appreciate getting our money back. Refused again. This isn’t how you do business and will not be recommending this studio to anyone.

Kula Yoga Grand Rapids has enriched my life during the last three years. This experience nudged me to enroll in the Restorative Yoga Teacher Training in January 2025 at Kula Leonard/Kula Collective. This training provided the didactic and hands on training to provide a type of yoga that counteracts the stress of modern times. The instructors were knowledgeable, the classes full of up to date information, and community was fostered effortlessly. I recommend this training. I feel prepared to share this skill with the community as a part of my ongoing yoga practice in the Kula Community.

I’ve been here twice in the past week and both classes were lovely. After years of trying to find a yoga studio in the GR area that doesn’t feel like yoga drill school, I think I have finally found my place. I’m excited to see what the Wealthy St location is like later this evening.

LOVE this location of my favorite yoga studio! Very spacious and at the same time feels like home and a beautiful safe space to connect with yourself and community. Check out their props when you take a class and especially yoga wheels, they are my new discovery!😍 About classes — no need to say much, constant perfection, all teachers are very very skilled, sign up and enjoy❤️

Kula Leonard is such a beautiful and welcoming place! I have tried yoga at several studios, but Kula feels most like home to me. The teachers are respectful, kind, and knowledgeable. With lots of class options and workshops, there's truly something for everyone.

Super awesome instructors and studio! The energy you feel when you come here is just wonderful. The space is large and filled with light, and all the instructors are great at leading class and you can tell how passionate they are. I truly love Kula for creating spaces of peace, joy, and reflection in GR. I always feel better after taking a class at Kula and I can tell all the other students really enjoy it too!!

I was visiting from Chicago and felt the need to move my body. Popped into Kula since it was close to my hotel. Such a lovely space, felt instantly welcomed. The instructor gave great queues and provided lots of modifications. Will be prioritizing the class schedule around my plans next time I’m in town!

I’m so impressed. As a longtime student, I’ve loved the ‘hidden gem’ vibe at the Wealthy location (and Division too). Despite being a larger studio, Kula Leonard still has that cozy, and light-filled feel. Parking is a breeze and there is a ton of space in the studio for pre/post class activities. Instruction continues to be top-notch.

KULA is the BEST! I’m so happy they opened this additional location. It has all the same vibes and quality of the original. The teachers are super knowledgeable and the class offerings are diverse and plentiful. Thanks for providing such a beautiful, welcoming space to practice!

I’ve gone to several classes with a few different instructors at the Leonard Street location and have loved every bit of it so far. I’ve been to probably 10+ studios over the years in various cities and I think this one is the best. Instructors are welcoming, give excellent direction, and are sure to include Sanskrit. It’s clear they intentionally build an atmosphere of respect for the tradition.

They are also very good about hands on adjustments, if you opt into them. Most places I’ve gone only do the shoulder press at the end of class, or very infrequent adjustments. Kula seems to use adjustments throughout practice in a way that really helps form and intentionality.

Parking has not been an issue yet. I’ve gone to morning and evening classes and always found street parking right outside the studio.

I believe Leonard location opened quite recently, so I’m excited for it to grow and hopefully more classes to be offered. Also look forward to trying the Wealthy Street location!
