Dan is an absolute wizard. He fixed my whole swing motion in 5 minutes. He watched me hit a couple balls before he even put me on the machine and he already had the corrections in mind. Then he put me on the machine and it just verified what he had already figured out by just watching me. I was in absolute disbelief. My game is ten times better now. I made the hour drive for the hour session with Dan and it did not disappoint! He provides a very calm setting built for learning in a situation that would otherwise be intimidating. We worked on my driving swing and he quickly developed a lesson plan that was individualized to my swing. He was very patient with me and knowledgeable on the game of golf. 5 Stars for Dan Lock! I’ve really enjoyed working with Dan the past few weeks. I wanted him to look at my swing with a focus of more consistent center face contact in the impact area for better ball striking and compression. Dan quickly diagnosed some shortcomings, and recommended some great drills and ‘feels’ that led to greater forward shaft lean and ultimately, distance. I’ve never seen more immediate improvement in Trackman results than I’ve had in my two lessons with him. He’s a great instructor in my book, and fully committed to helping his students reach their goals. Great coach. I was struggling with a weird issue in my swing. He had it resolved in 20 minutes. He was awesome at listening to what i was feeling and trying to do. And then does a great job of explaining with track man and with video what i was doing wrong. He also highlighted what i do well, and got me back on track with great drills to take home, and things to look for when videoing myself at home. 5 stars, would highly recommend to anyone simply looking to improve or fix an issue with the swing.

Just had a great lesson with Dan. I’ve hit a mean slice since I started playing golf as a kid and within the first half hour of the lesson I was hitting high pretty draws. I signed up for the Get Golf Ready course which consists of five lessons teaching you all the essentials of golf. As someone who has never played golf with the exception of Putt-Putt (if that even counts), I can attest that this course was great. Dan and Ethan were great instructors that made everyone feel welcome, and made sure that everyone received coaching respective to their skill level. There was 10 people signed up for the course, and everyone was very friendly and it was a very laid-back environment. I'm really amazed at how much I learned in just a few lessons.

I highly recommend this to any other beginner golfers that are out there!

Dan was wonderful! When I say I am a novice, I truly mean that I have never hit a golfball on a course in my life. By the end of my lesson, Dan had taught me all of the basics, enough that I was able to drive a ball 110 yds and start to feel confident on learning to play. I just had my first golf lesson with Dan today and it was truly an eye opening experience. I had a terrible slice and was compensating for the wrong way. Dan have me a couple simple steps to consistently hit straight down the fareway. Nothing is better than getting the replay and getting the immediate feedback.

Dan was very knowledgeable about golf and could see faults in your swing. I’m only disappointed I paid for a trackman 1 hour lesson but the tablet wasn’t charged so he could only analyze my swing from one angle which I thought was a reason I didn’t feel very confident leaving the lesson. I paid full price, but got less than other people which paid the same which is never a good feeling. Dan also said he was gonna send me videos of my swing the day of my lesson but I never received them. $145 is a lot so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be a little upset

I have only had one lesson in my golf career and it was at Lock Golf Academy. Last summer before I met with Dan I was consistently shooting 97 and up (just hoping to break 100). After working through some kinks in my swing, I can now say that I am consistently shooting 90 and below. Dan has shaved 7 strokes off of my game. I would recommend anyone to him, he is great and easy to work with. Going back for another lesson, this summer hopefully a few more stokes off of my game again.

Dan's a great golf instructor. You can tell he knows all the common swing faults and drills to correct them. He helped me a lot with not keeping my shoulders square at impact and helped my girlfriend with making more consistent contact. Dan is a fantastic teaching pro! I cannot speak highly enough. He was clear and articulate. He was able to teach me so much about the fundamentals of the golf swing that I had never understood (or never clicked). He used a nice iPad app to take video of my swing and to highlight areas for improvement. This was very helpful! After many years of trying to self teach, I finally decided to seek professional help to improve my golf experience. I spent an hour with Dan during which he showed me a few adjustments to my grip, alignment, and club positions at setup. I was astonished at the immediate improvement in my ball striking, trajectory, and flight path. I quickly gained confidence in the adjustments and took them out to play a round at the Cattails course. My tendency to hit behind the ball and pull the ball to the left was gone. I normally shoot in the low 80s, but finished with a score of 73 with 3 birdies and an eagle. Now if I can get back with him to improve my chipping/putting, I will be well on my way to playing the kind of game I have been craving.
