The owner Scott makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door. All the coaches are great and push you to be better. I have made some great friends here as well. I highly recommend.

Great local fitness center. They have daily (Monday thru Saturday) 30 and 45 minute classes, some focused training classes and specialized 1:1 coaching. Think Orange Theory or F45 without it being over priced or the stuffy atmosphere. The coaches definitely keep it fun and fresh.

Encouraging & knowledgeable staff, challenging & NEVER BORING workouts... they even kept us working out during the government lockdown via Zoom! GRIT is committed to the strength & flexibility improvement of EVERYONE that walks in their doors... no matter if you've never set foot in a gym before or you've been working out for as long as you can remember! They'll even give you scaled options to make an activity easier or harder in the middle of your workout - all you have to do is ask! I've been to numerous gyms in the Kalamazoo/Van Buren County area & GRIT is by FAR my favorite. Why? Because they are authentic & they sincerely care about everyone whether it's your 1st day or you've been there over 1000 times! I thank the good Lord Jesus for all of them & feel so blessed to be able to workout with such a fun & energetic group! Give GRIT a try; I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised at what a difference this gym can make in your life!

If you are looking for more then just a gym look no further! This place and these people are amazing! Scott and his coaches not only motivate you to be the best version of yourself but they also invite you into a whole fitness community, inspiring you to reach your goals together. The gym is clean and well kept with equipment in excellent shape. The workouts are structured to focus on different areas of the body everyday, including a great mix of cardio and weightlifting with tons of added classes included with your membership like yoga and kickboxing! I’ve never been to another gym like it!

I lOVE Michigan GRIT! Every day is something different and even after several years of coming consistently I still feel challenged (and often sore). The trainers are great and the atmosphere is welcoming. I can honestly say that I look forward to working out here every day. This is the first fitness program/gym that I haven't gotten burned out on! I can't say enough good things about Michigan GRIT. Come experience it for yourself!

Trainers are good listeners and encouraging while challenging you physically at the same time!
Exercises are never the same 2 days in a row & they readily give scaled up/down options as needed!
I had been looking for a gym that was exciting & made visible changes for my physique for over 10 years... I finally found one. These guys did it & I can't imagine working out anywhere else!

Scott, has IT he is passionate about health, brings positive attitude and a great encourager. He understands and can explain step by step the path to a healthier you. He wont kill, or hurt you, but he also wont just let you go through the motions.
That being said he was an incredible positive influence at a very low point in my life. I cant thank him enough for pushing me :)

I have really been enjoying my workouts here. I like the accountability. I like the group workouts! The instructors do an awesome job keeping you motivated!! There was a lady that had lost 100 lbs at one of my classes, how inspiring is that?! So awesome!! The workouts are always different giving you something new to look forward to. If you are on the fence, give it a try, you'll love it!
