Mid American Studio is a dance studio in Farmington Hills, MI that provides high quality youth dance and pom instruction in a fun and family friendly environment to students ages 1.5 - Adult. The studio offers a variety of classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hip, acro dance, pompon, creative movement, musical theatre, pointe, lyrical, and contemporary. The dance school services many levels and includes a recreational program and a competitive dance team that competes locally and nationally. We've been going to Mid American for 10 years. The dance instructors are all caring and wonderful teachers. I cannot give them enough praise for all they've done to help my daughter not only be a better dancer, but helping her come out of her shell and appreciate her abilities. The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend.

We’ve been dancing at Mid American Studio since 2011, and we absolutely love it! It’s such a fun and supportive environment for my girls. They’re both part of the competition team, and the other dancers and instructors are like a second family. Karen, the studio owner, is so supportive of the dance program. Abbie, the director of the dance program, is the absolute best. She knows how to be firm, but also lets the girls enjoy what they’re doing. The dancers really respect and look up to Abbie. I would highly recommend Mid American Studio.

Fantastic dance studio! My daughter has absolutely loved attending ballet classes and has developed a new love for dance, thanks to the wonderful staff. All of the employees are kind, friendly, and so positive with the kids. Highly recommend!

The professionals at Mid American Studio combine quality technique instruction with a fun, welcoming atmosphere. The studio is a great location for young dancers just starting out as well as older dancers wanting to try dance for the first time. The instructors work with each students strengths and encourage them to try many forms of dance. Throughout the pandemic, safety has been a top priority and the studio found safe, alternative ways to keep the students dancing and preforming. Communication is excellent, expectations are clear, and respect and kindness are continually encouraged. Our family has been very happy with Mid American Studio!

I'm in awe of how well maintained this facility is. I asked the owner if they just opened up because the studios were AMAZING! The owner said, "No, we've been here for 11 years." I was blown away!!! The environment is so welcoming and pleasant and gives you a sense that you are going to be treated very well. I haven't seen a dance studio so well-maintained in the time that it has been there sense my childhood when I took beginners ballet. I would recommend that if you want your child to have fun and you are looking for great instructors with owners that invest in their company because they value your patronage, come to Mid American Studio!

I found Mid American years ago for fitness classes and loved each and every one of them. Excellent teachers and great classes. We were just introduced to the youth dance classes for my daughter and could not be more pleased! The semester schedule was so easy to work with. The teachers and assistants took an interest in students and were SO kind and encouraging. It's a beautiful facility, well organized and welcoming!
