I played here for years before I had spinal surgery that didn't work as planned & unfortunately Im still unable to physically do more than putting on the golf course. We always let the front desk know that I'm only able to putt & to charge what they'd like for that. They make no complaints to us about it to our face & simply charge a cart fee for my putting & send us on our way, but every once in a while, the front desk will then send someone out to complain about me putting right after we told them that's what I'd be doing & paid what they asked to do it. We came last week & as always, my husband told them I'd only be putting, they made no complaints at the front desk, charged us a cart fee for me to putt & sent us on our way. On the 2nd green, one of the employees circled us, then headed back to the clubhouse. As I was driving my husband towards his shot on the 3rd, the employee parked directly in the way of my husband's shot & sat there until he was done. When we started driving towards hole 4, he stopped us & said "I'm not gonna make a big deal about it, but she shouldn't be putting." My husband explained my back issues & how we always explain this to the front desk & they never seem to have a problem until after we've paid & are out on the grounds. The employee then got an attitude with me about my medical issues & started questioning why my spine isn't healing fast enough for his standards. I am devastated every time I go on the course & realize I still can't swing my clubs, so the employee making digs at me about my recovery when I would give anything to be able to golf again was insanely hurtful & insensitive. I like to ride with my husband while he plays & I putt when I can & we're happy to pay whatever they want to charge us for that, we shouldn't be harassed for doing exactly what I said I'd be doing and exactly what we paid for. My husband decided to leave a 1-star review & send an email so it could be handled privately, but then the owner decided to respond publicly to my husband's 1-star review by blatantly lying & claiming I played an entire hole even though I am physically unable to do so. There's a simple solution to this issue as an owner—if you have a problem with us paying a cart fee for me to putt, maybe don't tell us that all we have to pay is a cart fee for me to putt....Tell us that you want to charge us full price for putting only & then we can decide if it's worth it or if we want to go somewhere else. Shaming & harassing people about their medical conditions & then publicly lying about them when this was already being discussed in private is absolutely abhorrent.

This course is much improved. We were here back in 2018 and it was a bit messy. It's fairways are a bit close but as long as you are hitting them straight, you're okay. It's a bit challenging.

I do not recommend golfing here due to poor management they sent somebody to us and asked us to Branch off into two groups of three which you cannot do in golf we were a little bit slower today because my autistic nephew was golfing with us. My family and I do know golf etiquette and we would allow people to play through.

Paid to play 18 holes, told I needed to be done by 5:20 pm cuz of a league shotgun start, they started at 4:35 instead so my back 9 was miserably slow, they didn't let me play through. Absolute rubbish.

Hilly course which made it challenging. A few holes had long grass to the point we lost balls otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. Fast greens that are well maintained. Great staff that monitored the course & helped nudge groups going slow.

EDIT: My wife and I had a not-so-great experience at Morrison Lake GC in 2020. The Morrison Lake management made the effort to make things right with us, so we came back in 2021, and had a great experience! The golf course is quite enjoyable, very playable but certainly not "easy" by any stretch. Very well maintained as well. We will be back!

I was here with a buddy 2 times this week on a later tee time, the first time on hole 8 the sprinklers started up, as well as the 2nd time we were out and they started around the 15th hole, course was very nice but it was unprofessional that on 2 separate games it was difficult to finish with light still out.

First time here and had a great time golfing, very nice course. It would be a 5 start rating if it weren't fire the grounds keepers. On holes 4, 5, 7 as we were trying to putt, one of the ground keepers came and stood in the green while we were putting and the other worker sat on his pesticide or water machine with it revving up staring at us as we tried finishing the hole. All three holes we felt rushed and uncomfortable. If it weren't for that, I'd definitely come for more rounds of golf. However, due to their behavior, probably won't come back. Ordered 2 different sandwiches and both were delicious. The ladies in the clubhouse were great. Please talk with your ground workers.

Fun course and kept up nice, but the greens need some updates. They are small which is challenging, but most of them are crowned which can make them very difficult.

Unfortunately with all the rain we've had on the area lately, the mowers were running the entire time we were playing (10 AM to 2 PM) and it was very distracting. And the mowers were not wound down when we were shooting either.

Hot dogs at the turn were fantastic and the girls working at the counter were very friendly.

Overall it was nice and it was part of the 2019 Michigan Golf Pass.

I’ve always enjoyed this course. I won’t ever go back.
The clubhouse started us on the back 9 because there were leagues going out, no biggie... there are 3 groups waiting to tee off... no worries... we have time. The course is super wet; well, it’s rained 3 of the last six days... nothing is getting in The way of having a fun, relaxing day golfing with friends.
Nothing but lawnmowers. One in particular. He saw us and kept on mowing until he found a satisfactory place to stop. This happened on 4 different holes! The same guy! It was really annoying, especially when he ran over one of our balls. But, the thing that made me vow to never return was when I was coming up to chip onto the green and he stopped his mower between me and the flag. I waited, staring holes into him and nothing. I raised my hands and shrugged my shoulders, he did the same back to me. I did it again and waved my hand in a “move” signal. This guy gives me the come-on signal!!!! I wanted to just pick my ball up and drive back to Okemos right then and there. I was furious.

Beware of booking online. Booked a tee time through their web site and when I got their was told they had a tournament getting ready to start and would have to go off the back nine and then rushed through and on the second nine had to play on greens that were set up for a scramble. They said I should have called because they didn't have any way to tell me they had a scramble going on, but they had no problem booking my tee time and also have my email. When I informed the clubhouse of this they just gave me an OH WELL shrug. Not your stellar picture of customer service.
